We had another hotel booked and decided to change 1 week before our arrival. I was a bit nervous about changing on such short notice but am glad I did. The hotel is beautiful - the lobby is spacious and offers a many chairs and sofas for relaxing near the bar. They also have a computer station that offers FREE internet access. At times it was a bit slow but it was free so that was ok. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well appointed. The bathrooms are large with a big shower / tub and large sink. The staff we interacted with were very helpful and we will definitely stay here when we visit Rome again.

Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The staff in the restaurant were efficient, friendly and helpful. Fresh fruit would have been a very welcome addition to the breakfast buffet. The bed was very comfortable We slept very well. The room cleaning services, including towel and bedding replacement were excellent. Reception stafff always knowlegeable and helpful, although occasionally one individual was a little abrupt or grumpy.

A great hotel within reasonable walking distance to all of the sights and in what seems to be a very safe area. Only 10 minutes walk from the Termini, but away from the hustle and bustle. Great breakfasts! The room was large by european standards. And there's a great gelataria nearby!

We Went in March and the weather was nice and chilly so we didn't mind the fact that the air conditioning wasn't working perfectly but in summers it might be a problem. The concierge and front desk staff were outstanding and very helpful. The rooms were cleaned well everyday and the location is very central so it was very convenient for sightseeing and being close to Roma Termini. All in all it was very good :)

I could not use the buses, and the metro station was fairly far away. Thus I had to walk more than I wanted to get to places. The information I got at the hotel about a three-day tourist pass was not valid and I could not find a place where to buy it.

We only had the complimentry continental breakfast in the morning. The staff was very nice and the food was good. Good resturants choices in the neighborhood near hotel. We used the ROME HOP ON HOP OFF bus tour. One of the stops was about a 10 minute or less walk from the hotel.

The hotel is located in a nice, quite area of Rome-very close to the Borghese Gardens. Our room was hot, we could not cool it down. The 6 other people traveling with us did not have AC problems however. The beds were firm, in a good way. The sheets were crisp and new, as were the bathroom towels. The breakfast was only ok.

Our stay in Rome (our second visit) was great! More crowed this time then in Feb. 05. We stayed at the Londra & Cargill. The room very nice and on our return trip we had a suite for the same price. Staff was polite and very helpful. Especially the Bartender, Plavio. We also stayed in Florence at the Orto De Medici, and was pleasantly surprised in the room and the price. I would rate both a 9 on this scale.

This is a nice, comfortable hotel with a good value for the money. The room was very nice (but not as nice as in the picture online). Interestingly, the entire room was padded. The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood and has nice surroundings. If you plan on sightseeing on foot, there is a disadvantage when staying here: it is far from most sites and taking public transport is somewhat complicated (no metro nearby).

The hotel is very clean and situated in an quiet part of Rome although the location is a bit far from tourist places and 10 Minutes walking distance to the next Metro/subway. All the Staff are very helpful especially the desk staff and speak English very well. Breakfast is more than adequate (unless you are possibly an American)? We would stay at the Hotel Londra again when next in Rome. Travellers from Australia.

We had a positive experience with every staff member. The desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful - giving directions and suggestions as to sights to see and local restaurants. They checked and printed out the train schedule for us, which was especially appreciated due to the train strike. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff there was gracious. The hotel is beautiful, clean and in a good location. If we return to Rome, we will stay at the Londra.

We have been on a family weekend trip to Rome - Fri - Mo. We found the building and rooms exactly as on photos - nice, absolutely clean and spacious room with new equipment - very comfortable beds. The staff is o.k. - they try to be helpful without being proactive - a more passive style - but absolutely professional behavior. Three negative remarks: the breakfast-room is in the basement - o.k. for business trip - not realy inviting for a family weekend trip. There is a Bar/NightClub across the small street which was an unexpectet source of noice during the night until 2-3 a.m. in an otherwise realy calm area. The location is a bit far from tourist places and 10 Minutes walking distance to the next subway. To call a taxi to the hotel can take up to 10 Minutes (e.g. Saturday evening 8 p.m.). The positive aspect of the location is that it's in 15 Min. walking distance from Termini (central station). Final Hint: In the same area , 200 meters form Londra you find the Royal Marchella. They have a wonderful roof terrace there with a gorcious view over the roofs of Rome up to the Peters Dome. To have Breakfast at a sunny morning with this view is a great experience. The Royal Marchella with his really friendly staff would be my next choice for a family trip !

We were very impressed with Londra & Cargill. On a return trip to Rome where we had booked a different hotel, we checked out after just one night and went back to L&C. Staff were very helpful and the rooms were big and comfortable. Great value for money too! It's not bang in the centre of Rome but we found we could easily walk to most of the main tourist sites in 20-25 minutes.

When in Rome, stay here! It is a very clean hotel and the staff was always very helpful. While the public areas are not very special, the room we had was lovely. It was decorated very well, the linens were first rate. The bathroom was small but adequate and all marble. It was a very comfortable room. The breakfast was fine, nothing outstanding, but adequate. It is in a nice, safe area, about 4-5 blocks from Via Veneto so the walk to the via was about 8-10 minutes. The price of 200 euros is well worth it, as anything on the Veneto begins at 350 euros and the only difference being that the public rooms would be grander. We would stay here again!!

The Londra & Cargill hotel is an amazing place to stay, especially when you get it at the discount price. The rooms are just massive and the hotel is more than we could have asked for, for a 4 star hotel. Our only problem was the initial welcome on our arrival, we definitely got the impression that we were not the usual customers that some of the hotel staff were use to. But other than that, I'd definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family, espically at the rate we got it at.

We found the Londra and Cargill to be even better than we expected. The staff were very helpful, even sending an e-mail to our family when we weren't able to. The room, on the fifth floor, was totally renovated and modern. We especially enjoyed the high quality, ironed linens changed daily, and the very nice buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant (although it was not included in room rate.)The neighborhood was a business area, but included some small shops, a grocery, and several nice restaurants. We'd definitely stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay in Londra and Cargill hotel. The hotel is located close to the main city attractions, in a nice, quiet area. The room was very comfortable and clean. TV set was quite small and old and should be replaced with a big one. It would also be a good idea to use electronic cards to open the room doors instead of the conventional keys. We arrived early in the morning and were given a small, oudated room, but the Manager phoned us and offered a larger, updated room when it became available. We were able to rest in the smaller room and when we awoke, the hotel transferred our belongings to the larger room as we toured the city. It was a very nice room with a marble bath and lots of space. Not easy to navigate to or from this hotel if not familiar with the city. We got lost finding it the first night. Pleased overall, but learned at a later date that the hotel offered a rate 20 euro less if booked directly with them.
