The staff is an important part of the high rate I credit to this hotel. Even when thinks run out of control (interruption on internet service, or modifications in the phone numbers, etc.) it was nice to count on the kindness attention of the staff. Also, the quietness around, restaurants and shops in the neighborhood, are good points to consider.

The continental breakfast was lovely; the staff at the front desk seemed unfriendly and unapproachable; the location was nicely a bit out of the way, not too loud, cleaner than other hotel areas.

I am from Montreal, Canada and it was my first stay in Rome,Italy. If you are looking for a quiet place, surrounded by many restaurants this is definetely the place for you. It is not in the tourists area which allowed you to experiment life in Rome. The staff at the hotel were very nice. I would definetely stay there again.

The description that I received by email differs when you arrive to the hotel. The hotel is far form the nearest metro station, you have to walk around 10 mins to get one. The facilities are not good, and the staff is not kind to support you in that. Too much expensive for the description they offer.

The hotel is situated in peacefully area with lovely corner's shops and delicious restaurants. It's not very central but it has good bus connections. Cleanliness of rooms is excellent and the buffet breakfast varied and great.

The room was very clean, spacious and the sorroundings of the hotel are good. You may find a little distant from the metro, but it's well connected with all the bus that cross Porta Pia.Also by walking Via veneto is only 20 minutes far.... The breakfast is good with a lot of choice.

The rooms are quite small but very clean. The surroundings are good for restaurants and the real life of Romans, near to Salaria road and Nomentana road.

As a whole very comfortable hotel with very cosy rooms. I have written an surroundings not so good, but nevertheless there is to steam very good restaurants and pizzeria "Rosso Pomodoro" which is sufficient known in Italy. There is nearby a cinema. But there are a little bit far from the underground, 10-15 mines on foot.

The excellent Venere offer was € 50 for a (small) single room (April). Very good location (close to main railway station, city centre, different restaurants and shops, market and cinemas). Absolutely quiet room. No internet connection in the property, but Internet café 100 m from the hotel (open daily 9 a.m.-11 p.m.)

We stayed at the Lloyd some 30 years ago and enjoyed it then! We know it has been refurbished and thought it ideal for a few days stay. The hotel was good and met our requirements and expectations - a good bed, clean rooms and working facilities. It was simple and straightforward - good rooms if a little small. The neighborhood is fine - residential/local business. There are a number of good typical restaurants within 100m. Buses and trams closeby. We will return.

'bathroom' was shower room only but was spacious and impeccably clean. bedroom well appointed and equipped but small - 2 adults would have been cramped. sheets crisp and bed very comfortable. staff friendly and obliging. breakfast better than average but room internal. location off tourist track but within walking distance of via veneto and well served by buses. great local market adjacent and very good local restaurants full of romans! would definitely consider staying again but not sharing a room (too small). value for money undeniable and a real bargain in rome particularly as the room was modern, clean and calmly decorated. only caveat was lift broke and was out of action for 2 days.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The room was enormous, even with the extra bed, and very quiet, and the breakfast buffet was very good. As we are very familiar with this area of Rome, we knew the external facilities would suit children - close to the park, the zoo and playgrounds, and lots of restaurants and shops close by. The buses and metro are very frequent for travelling to all the tourist sites, the swimming pool in EUR and the airports, of course. It is not, however, located in the centre of Rome - visitors should check their maps before they book to make sure they are not disappointed. That said, less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel there is a large taxi rank for those not keen on public transport. Next time we visit Rome we will definitely stay in the Hotel Lloyd.

The Lyold has a lot to learn about the hotel business. L\Fir\or example, when youa rrive at the hotel, you should be welcomed warmly, not indifferently. Also, breakfast should be available when they say it is. We had to wait both mornings for a table and the second day, we had an appointment so we couldn't wait around while the one waitress was filling the juice recipient while we stood there outside the breakfast room to wait for her to clear a table. To make things worse they kept our passports by mistake which they had to mail priority to our next hotel. Don't stay here.

Would love to keep this a secret but the hotel truly deserve a great review. Cab from the Termini was less than EUR 10 and on a rainy day it was well worth it. The location was just outside Porta Pia and close enough to walk into town. The rooms were neatly decorated, reasonable in size and with effective ac. The mattress was firm and very comfortable. The cleaning staff was very considerate in getting my room cleaned up right away when I returned earlier in the day than expected. In terms of internet access, there was no WiFi. I did not pack an access cord so did not check out whether one could get connected through the ethernet plug. All in all, I had a great stay.

The room i stayed was a single room. it's very small and dark. the breakfast was very poor. the hotel location was far from the attractions, you must take a bus for 20 minutes. but the surroundings of the hotel weren't bad, there were a lot of good restaurants. the price is bad for the above reasons. besides the photos on web are very different from the actual property.

Good hotel; the only issue we had was when we asked for some information: people at reception were not informed on very simple topics like trains timetable, main museum open-close days, good restaurants in the surrounding area, and so on.

The hotel was clean and offered a nice, simple continental breakfast. However, it was very far from Rome attractions and required a 20-30 minute bus ride to get to the Rome city center.
