The room was very nice and clean, the staff was very helpful and courteous, breakfast was nice, and the location couldn't be beat. My biggest complaint is the lack of maintenance to keep everything working well or as promised. The phone could not dial out, the tub leaked while showering, no internet available, and there were NO U.S. networks available on the satellite TV. I know I'm not there to watch TV, but after a long day, you want to wind down a bit before going to sleep. Hopefully management will see this write-up and have things working for your visit. Otherwise, let everyone know they haven't fixed it.

We enjoyed a lot our stay in this hotel. We had a very quiet and clean room and the position of the hotel was perfect in order to visit the city. The terrace on the fith floor is not at all as big as it seems on the homepage photographs.

This hotel is probably as good as it gets in this excellent location and for this price. Staff were polite, room clean. Terrace and breakfast room (as well as breakfast) not as interesting as suggested.

Great Hotel with the exception of checkout, where we were informed that the credit card machine wasn't working. After running up the road to try draw cash (amount greater than daily limit), we were then told that we had to stay there until the machine came back on line. This was after informing the front office that we would miss our train if we stayed any longer. The altercation was unpleasant to say the least.

La Fenice is one of (obviously)three hotels that are in a same chain. All of them seemed to have received good or decent feedback so we decided to check La Fenice because of it's excellent location, just about halfway between Spanish Steps and Fontaine la Trevi. The welcoming - each time passing by the counter - was absolutely polite and very friendly. Our room (4th floor, windows towards the inner yard) was excellent, bathroom had brand new shiny marble tiling and it's tidiness was of absolute top quality. Shower was a fancy thing with several water jets and everything (that don't add too much value because normally you wand to have a shower and not a trial and error experience of which knob to turn not to get a spray of cold water), but the only minus must be given of a clogged drain, all too common phenomenon no matter the star rating or country, unfortunately. The room sure could have been spacier but we're in Rome after all. Electricity and A/C was ok. A safety locker and minibar was included and the interior was stylish and tidy. And no traffic noise!! Breakfast was tasty but minimal - I am comparing to a "normal" continental level. Just coffee (latte was excellent though), youghurts, fruits, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, bread and syrial. But overall, a place to be warmly recommended, especially for leisure travellers. Not perhaps for large families but then again I did not check all the rooms they have.

Rooms are fine, clean, well furnished. Breakfast is good-quality and is served on a terrace (I think in summer is wonderful). Hotel lobby is not so nice, and when you get in you are a little worried that you chose the wrong hotel. It not so: it's a good hotel and quality vs. price ratio is great.

The hotel was located very conveniently near many things, especially the Spanish Steps and surrounding shopping, teh Trevi Fountain and many, many fine eating places. The personel in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. They were willing to provide advice and assistance with tours and a cab to the airport. They also returned the cell phone that my granddaughter left in the room. The jacuzi tub was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated after a day of sight-seeing. My only complaint is the lack of Internet services. It would make is so much easier to communicate with people back home. However, it would make La Fenice a bad choice for a business person. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Very Clean & modern rooms, a bit small though. Nice bathroom and excellent and competent employees, very helpful. The hotel is placed 75 meters from Piazza d`España and 100m from Fontana de Trevi, just between both. I recommend it, absolutely, we`ll visit it again.

Hotel receptionists spoke good english, and were very helpful. Since the property has only 8 rooms, they use just one maid to serve breakfast and to clean the rooms on any given day, so she does not really get through the cleaning properly. Even the fresh towels given might not be clean. Breakfast was cold buffet, as advertised, but had limited choice and they'd always forget to serve the milk. Maid would disappear for a while during breakfast. We stayed there for 4 nights. Location is fab... few min walk from Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and from Barberini fountain/metro. Room looks nice. Air-conditioning worked v well.

This hotel is recommended for couples. The room had excellent air conditioning to deal with the hot Rome summer weather. The staff were very very helpful and nothing was too much to ask. Overall, I would strongly recommend the hotel. The added advantage is that it is 10 min walk from Trevi Fountain, Medici Gardens and Spanish Steps. 15 min to Pantheon.

The staff at the La Fenice were extremely helpful and curtious. The hotel was immaculate. The breakfast was fresh, hot and wonderful. I would stay there on any return to Roma, and would highly recommend this hotel. The price is a little high, but the location saved us money on taxis.
