Bed and Breakfast La Casa del Capitano - Rome

Good breakfast. Area has a lot of vehicle traffic, but with windows closed not very noisy. Very comfortable place and friendly hosts.

Amazing B&B right in the heart of Rome at piazza Barberini, one step from metro station, two metro stops from Termini railway station. Great hosts, great Italian breakfasts (I'm used to other type of breakfast, but for Italy these are very nice, with hot buns, croissants, jams, mousses, coffee/tea, juice, etc) served right in your room, very beautiful rooms. We had even two rooms actually - sleeping room and a sitting room with a table and a sofa. Only two faults that are not to blame on hosts. First - no elevator and it's 2nd (or 3d) floor. For us, young travellers - ok, but for somebody else it can be a problem. Second and the major one - very noisy street down there, and windows are old, so all the noise gets inside. Ok for a short stand or if you are sleeping very tightly. Exept two things mentioned, fantastic B&B and the location is unbeatable!

The location is great! We enjoyed our stay even though we didn´t get our breakfast the first morning. Overall the service was very good, and we got great tips from Luca. The only downside is that the rooms are not soundproof, we could hear everything the neighbour was doing. And the street outside is busy, but we had earplugs and slept like babies!

This little B&B is an unexpected gem! A real value in the heart of Rome. Two large fully furnished bedrooms and full baths, with anterooms, and shared kitchenette. Great linens and pillows. The antique furnishings and architectural details were lovely. We had 4 in our group, but could have slept 8 in this apartment. Good location, on Barbarini square. Easy access to taxis from hotel across the square, and metro stop in front. Less than a half mile walks to major sites. Dozens of restaurants within short walking distance. Be prepared to walk up several flights of stairs. Luca the owner met us at the door to the building when we arrived and helped us carry up our luggage.

Our stay was wonderful. Luca, the owner, was outstanding. Breakfast was brought to us - lovely hot milky coffee and warm croissants and buns etc. Luca was extremely accommodating. We stayed 4 nights in the guest house - and would definitely stay again. We had use of the kitchen which was a bonus. The plaza is rather noisy but easy to cope with as everything else outshone this. Excellent accommodation - very quaint.
