Somewhere a little old, but super location (near the main rail station and 15 min. walk to the Colosseo and fori imperiali). A good choise for a short stay in Rom.

I stayed for one night only. The room was small and the shower was not powerful enough. Good points are oroximity to the Roma Termini, quietness and the provision of satellite TV so that I can watch programmes in English.

The surrounding of the hotel is very unsafe espeacially the people hanging outside the eating places and the train station.I choose this location because is near the station.

Very centrally located only 1 block away from Termini train station. We had a superior room and it was still fairly small but the bathroom was very nice. The beds were a little bit on the hard side.

This hotel was a great place to stay. We had never been to Rome and it was conveniently located for walking to almost everything. Only problem we had was the water did not drain quickly in the shower and the internet access was not available. The breakfast was extrememly plentiful and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a very nice, reasonably priced place to stay in Rome.

Very clean and friendly hotel. The breakfast in the morning was quite full and the eating areas were pretty small. There are no mini-bars and I had to go across the street to a real bar to get a couple bottles of water. The area is not exactly the greatest (we were confronted by a youth selling handbags who had less than kind things to say) but a bunch of great sites, stores and places to eat are just a couple blocks away.

Hotel Kennedy generally very good but we selected this property for the air conditioning factor and it was not on throughout the hotel because they felt the nights were getting cooler. This did affect our quality of sleep because to have the window open invited the noise in.

Very service-minded staff. Easy to communicate and get help. We stayed there for a whole week. The hotel is near to the railway station (Termini)in a quiet street with little traffic. They could have had breakfast with more choises. Bathroom needed updating.

The hotel was fine for what we wanted it for - to spend the night before we left the country. The noise level was more than anticipated. There were several people leaving quite early in the morning and for some reason did not use the elevator to bring their bags down. The thudding of suitcases on the stone staircase at 5am was a bit much, especially after having trouble falling asleep due to street traffic. Otherwise, the staff was helpful and the restaurant across the street convenient.

The lobby area was small and crowded but there were generous lounges nearby. The elevator was unusable for long periods on several days and the stairs were a limiting factor in accessing the room when the elevator was down but the management did make appropriate allowances. The room was small but fairly average for Europe but the bathroom /plumbing was very good. Good proximity to rail station and although the area was not unsafe it was not very interesting. Most attractions were easily accessible by walking although it is an hour to the Vatican and half an hour to Trevi.

It was convenient to the train station. The staff was helpful with tours and information. We were very disappointed that the staff would not allow us even to take a biscuit or piece of bread with us when we had to leave early before breakfast was served two mornings. The staff person was also very rude when we asked if we could take something with us. Also, on our first stay, we had two bedrooms and a large bathroom (much too large). On the second stay we had a small bedroom and a very small bathroom in which the commode was in a very awkward place for the same amount of money. We also think the hotel should provide internet access.

We were there for two nights. It was fine, but really a low budget hotel. No internet access in the rooms so you have to go to a commen room to get wireless. Breakfast was nothing special in over crowded tiny rooms. Sometimes the desk staff was nice and friendly, other times not. Bathrooms are tiny with little space to put personal items. Best thing I can say was that it very close to Termini Station, 2 blocks. And if you're there to see the sights and not to hang out in your hotel it is fine, nothing fancy, and in a good location.

it has been a very long waited come back at the Kennedy. I am please about the renovation and the quality of the rooms. I am less pleased about common spaces but I do not profit of very much. Breakfast can be greatly improved in quality and presentation, I should say. People at the reception desk were very kind. I hope to have more opportunity to return at my Kennedy more frequently in the future. By the way but Elio is no longer working there?

Located close to Rome Central Railway station, 20 minute walk to Colloseum and Forum, hop-on hop-off bus 5 minute walk. Many modestly priced restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Downside was room located on 1st floor, faced community rubbish collection bins which were emptied nightly. Breakfast was one of the better selections of the 8 hotels we stayed in across Italy.

We had stayed at the Kennedy previously and appreciated the location next to the train station. It is very convenient but the area becomes a bit seedy at night. This time we were given a room in the new section that was, by European standards, spacious and had a large bathroom with a modern shower (no tub). The room was well lit, very clean, comfortable for 3 people, and had a good deal of closet space. While we had minimal contact with the front desk, they were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was the normal contintental fare.

Room was smaller than expected, but clean and suited our purpose - somewhere to sleep in Rome close to the Termini. We would have preferred fresh pastries for breakfast rather than the packaged croissants, otherwise the breakfast was adequate and we liked the fruit salad and coffee. We weren't disturbed by any noise from either the street below or hallway. Great shower! Staff at the desk were helpful and informative. Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel was very conveniently located to the train station and metros, only about 2 blocks away. The people were generally helpful in answering questions about local sites. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel. The area turned out to be better than I expected based on some of the other reviews I read.

The hotel is very close to the termini railway station. It is very noisy from outside when open the windows. But OK when the windows are closed. The rooms (superior) are not so spacious. But rome is not a city to stay in the rooms. We leave the hotel normaly at 9am and we're back at 10pm (or later). We need the room only for sleeping. For that kind of habit we think the hotel was build for.

I spent many hours scrolling through hotels on venere trying to pick the right one, and it seems all my hard work paid off. Hotel Kennedy was everything that we expected, close to station termini - 5 mins walk, clean, friendly staff, great breakfast included - continental but all you can eat so perfect before a days sight seeing, and good value for money. I have stayed in Rome many times previously and know that accomodation is expensive and not always as good as you would hope for in the budget catagories, i now pay a bit more to be a bit more comfortable and less likely to be disappointed, and Hotel Kennedy will be where i go from now on. The only downside we were prewarned about in the feedback comments on Venere - it can be noisey, espcially if you get a room above the breakfast rooms as we did. The sound of the chairs being pulled in and out accross the floor reverberates up into your room - nothing that a pair of earplugs wont fix, and as we wanted to be up early for a full days sightseeing it didnt bother us too much. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay here again.

The access to Termini was excellent - we couldn't believe how quickly we arrived at the hotel (having left the station via the side doors). The room was fine, although very small, with interesting decor (shells for lampshades!), but we were disappointed to have a 'window' that was frosted and could hardly be opened (even though we had booked very early and requested a view).

Hotel Kennedy is the perfect location for those travelling to and from Rome by train and who do not intend to stay for long. You must be a keen walker or organised when it comes to bus times, as all attractions/shopping/worthwhile eateries are at minimim 15 - 20 minutes away. The area surrounding the hotel is littered, dirty and full of weird non-Italian suspicious looking types. We did not feel safe there at night. The restaurants surrounding the hotel ought to be avoided - head over the river instead to Trastevere for a reasonably priced and quality meal. The room size was great, however, the 1m x 1m bathroom/toilet/sink area was unimpressive and a nightmare. The staff at the hotel were friendly and always welcoming. The breakfast was adequate and the coffee was lovely. The hotel had a lift which was very convenient for taking luggage to and from the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kennedy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was air conditioned and also very neat and clean; exactly like the photos on-line. The bathroom was small, but still very clean and neat, however it might be a challenge for a larger person. The close proximity to the Termini station made it very convenient. We walked to the hotel in less than 5 minutes with luggage. The breakfast was good, typical of European breakfast. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to the Colloseum, Forum and other attractions. Over all we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return.

I was alone there for only one night stay, the location is good and very close to Termini station, 1 minute on foot from the hotel. We were very happy with both the hotel and price for our stay. The entire staff treated us well and made our trip to Rome fun. Being less than 5 minutes from the Train and subway allowed us to travel around the city quickly and at a very low cost. We really felt like we were among family and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and get us going in the right direction. The breakfast was good and had delicious breads and cakes/pies. The location was just right for us. This really was the only 3-Star hotel that we stayed at during our 2 week trip that we would stay at again - without hesitation. Thank you Roberto, Ubaldo, all of you - so much for making our trip memorable!

As a single traveller i was placed in a single room which was very small and extremely warm as the air conditioner did not work! The floor i was on was extremely noisy with doors of other rooms constantly slamming and echoing around the building. The shower was shocking, with the water cutting out completely during your wash the when it did work, the water was very difficult to regulate. Also if you were a larger built person you would never fit into the cubicle! Breakfasts were great and included which was a plus, as was the location being so close to the main railway station. One thing i found odd was opening a drawer of a desk in the room to be confronted with a variety of papers and medication of a previous guest!

Overall a good hotel, very easily booked through Venere.com. The hotel was very clean, although the room itself was quite small considering it was a superior. On arrival the desk clerk said we'd been 'upgraded to a superior'-when I'd actually booked this. The staff were always very helpful, friendly & polite. The hotel location was good, being close to the station & all the wonderful sights. My husband is a retired fire officer & wasn't keen on the 'means of escape' in the event of a fire & found the room numbers confusing ( 5th floor, room 558 ???), also the fire doors were pinned back & there was electrical items stored in the doorways. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who was travelling with children under 10 years of age. If I were to visit Rome again, I would probably stay in this hotel, due to it's convenient location - but it would be great if they would put a mini bar in the rooms !

We were very disappointed in the Kennedy Hotel. We had stayed in another 3* hotel in Italy before arriving in Rome and standards were excellent but the Kennedy did not compare favourably. The website stated that drinks and coffee were available to guests but the bar was always closed and when we asked for coffee we were directed to a local cafe. The photographs on the website were well chosen to show only the good bits - the lounges were nicely decorated but the room was in need of some redecoration. The bathroom was disgusting - the shower had mould growing in it, the towel rail was missing and the sink was cracked. The satellite TV only had about 20 channels all with poor reception. We complained about the room but were not offered another room and the cleanliness did not improve during our stay. The hotel advertised money changing facilities but these were not always available. However the staff were very helpful with directions and recommendations for sights to see etc. We were also expected to pay in full on arrival, before seeing our room, which we were not expecting.

The Kennedy is very convenient to the Termini station and easy to find. The desk personel were friendly and helpful and all spoke English. Our room overlooked a wooded square which was pleasant. There are many restaurants close by. We had to catch an early tour and they served an early breakfast to us and when we left to catch an early flight, they gave us a breakfast to go and made sure a taxi was waiting for us. I would recommend this hotel.

We were highly delighted to arrive and find we had been allocated "the Suite", which having two bedrooms gave us more space to spread out, although one bedroom was quite big enough. This is a very nice hotel, clean, well run, spacious and with friendly staff (mostly English speaking, which was good for us), it is within a block from the side entrance to Roma Termini railway station, where you can also reach the excellent Metro system, the "all you can eat" breakfast was really nice, with quite a variety of croissants, breads, biscuits, fruit juice, cereals etc etc, served in 3 pleasant breakfast rooms. We were really pleased with the Hotel Kennedy, and will definately use it again, the only thing I would say is that it is not cheap, though not expensive, but for the location and service excellent value for money.

Just as described on the website and chosen as a result of reading the reviews left by another family. The suite of 2 rooms with one main door was ideal for our group of 2 adults and 3 kids. Breakfast was adequate although I feel that they could have served better than instant coffee in an Italian hotel of this quality. Tinned fruit, long life baking and processed cheese was a bit of a let down.

My only recommendation would be to offer a little something different at the breakfast buffet. Some sort of egg (soft boiled or scrambled) or any type of meat would be a good start. Also, I would recommend a more "kid friendly" cereal (fruit circles, oat rings etc.) However, the hot breakfast drinks were great to wake up to. Overall, we had a great stay in Rome at a terrific location. I will recommend Kennedy to anyone who I know that is considering a trip to Rome.

The price was right. The lobby was shabby. Rooms were small, clean overall and utilitarian. The shower I had a slow drain, so I didn't turn on the water full force, and flood the bathroom floor. The room had a small working TV, although CNN was advertised it was nonexistant. But I didn't go to Rome to watch TV anyway. The bed was very comfortable. There was an excellent breakfast of assorted bread, pasteries, yogurt, cereals and great coffee. Overall, the hotel workers were very pleasant. The room we stayed at had a fine view and was clean, but not very comfortable because of its smallness and a little cheapish furnishings. The biggest problem was the extremely small bathroom. We had some difficulty taking a shower. As for the "All You can Eat Buffet" breakfast, the quality of food was poor. However, our overall stay was all right considering the price. Hotel Kennedy is recommendable, I think, to those who want to stay near Termini station on a budget.

Hotel Kennedy is a smart choice for a traveller that wants to explore Rome on foot. The hotel is very close to the Colosseum and the main railway station and therefore also to the subway (Metro). The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. I would certainly stay at Hotel Kennedy again, if I get the opportunity to re-visit Rome.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Kennedy. The staff was excellent, very professional, very helpful and accommodating. The room was perfect: quiet, clean, with a decent bathroom. I was there in the heat of the summer but with the airconditioning, it was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to be near Termini. Bear in mind that train terminal environs are typically unfortunate and the neighborhood around Termini is no exception. If you understand that, though, and want to be near the train station, the Kennedy offers excellent service and accommodations for the price and puts you one minute from Termini, walking time. I would use them again, without hesitation.

We were surprised with the quality of the accommondations given the area of Rome that the Hotel Kennedy is situated in. After traveling throughout Italy for two weeks, we were expecting very small rooms and no air conditioning, and a very limited breakfast. However, we were more than comfortable in individually controlled air conditioning in a two bedroom suite with a spacious bathroom and more than accomodating hosts. Well worth our recommendation.

This is supposed to be a three star hotel, but only the room reached that standard. Everything else was more like a two star hotel. Arriving back to hotel on first evening there was a strong smell of burning kebabs in the reception area which followed us up to and into our room. Our first floor room was directly above the breakfast area so we were wakened by the sound of chairs being shifted around, at about 8am. Not a total disaster though, the room was nice, hotel is in a nice quiet location and very handy for central train station -- and Rome is fabulous!!

For a single traveler this was an excelect base. To get to the hotel from termini was childs play as its in the next street. You will have to do a lot of walking to get to the sights of Rome but for me this was great as I saw things I would have missed had I got a taxi. The only thing that was not 100% was the noise level, while this was not loud enough to keep me awake, or complain about, I did find it irksome when I was relaxing in the room. The breakfast is a selection of serials and/or cold breads with drinks brought to you table by the very frendly staff whose level of English was far far better than my Italian. When I go back to Rome I will not have to think twice about useing this hotel.

We had a really nice stay at the Kennedy's. The rooms aren't spacious, but comfortable. Every room has a TV-set, not the newest models, but sufficient for watching news. The (quite European) breakfast is good (included in the price), various types of cereals, breads, yoghurts, jams... One of our rooms wasn't cleaned thoroughly (dust), but the staff is really nice when informed.

For twelve months I researched hotels. Hoping for the perfect spot, price, feeling for a trip to Rome. I'm a pretty easy going girl, but had read some awfully scary stories here at venere, for some places. I must have changed my mind 8 different times. I ended up at the perfect hotel. The staff could not have been more charming, helpful. Their English, which is an enormous bonus for me, was fantastic. The breakfast was enough, if needed to fill up a lumberjack. All you can eat. The room was absolutely spotless. The towels were ENORMOUS! The room was large, even by American standards, and had that same, corner room for 5 days. Ask for room 132, corner room with windows on each side. One block from Termini station, and easy access to everywhere in the city by metro. Did take a taxi to hotel (one block) after hours of lugging about too much luggage. Only cost 6 euro, not sure why another traveler had to pay 32. I can not say enough kind, positive things. There are so many affordable, nice resturants within a 3 block radius. Price was exactly as quoted. Price for several calls home to the states, minimal. Absolutely no problems getting calls in either. Three sitting lounges, with tv in one, and leather sofas made this hotel feel like a home. Three breakfast rooms as well, and were used by everyone at the hotel I believe. Wonderful, modern, spacious by European hotel standards elevator. What else could I say? All of the soaps, shower jels,,replaced daily one could need. Lovely little bathroom, plenty of hot water. Extra blankets, and lots of extra pillows if you want as well, in the wardrobe, which was large like an American closet. Windows to shut out nearly completely the noise, which I kept open because I loved the noise,,,and a park directly next door? Sigh. I'll be back Rome,,,and certainly to the Hotel Kennedy.

The Kennedy is definitely not an upscale hotel, but it is a good buy for the price. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend it. If you are taking day trips out of Rome, it is a SUPER location to the train station and access to the Metro. A suggestion might be to add fresh fruit (apples, oranges and bananas) to the breakfast menu. I had a small problem in a single room with the bathroom. It was so small that when you sat on the toilet (at a 17% angle), you had one foot in the shower and the other almost in the bidet. It was a VERY small bathroom (and uncomfortable). The room was definitely a single, but the size I would expect in Europe. Book at the Kennedy -- good place to stay.

Proximity to train station was excellent. The permanent rubbish skips just below the windows which were emptied in the middle of every night then washed down by streetcleaners was very disturbing. The staff were very helpful with good sense of humour and their recommendation of Ristorante Tavernelle was brilliant

The staff was friendly and eager to help. The rooms were clean, with daily changes of linen and care taken to keep the room clean. The location is actually nice, with a wooded area only 1/2 block away and convenient to metro and other services. I enjoyed my stay.
