Cheerful staff, good breakfast service, free cookies:) Location: convenient, in between the Termini and key historical area. Quite a few bars and restaurants around where many locals go…Cons: can be noisy at weekend nights (people having fun loud in the street:) Overall good impression and definite value for money.

The single room is a sort of little storage room. The "bathroom" large like a wall cupboard...you have to open the shower unit door to soap you.

I have two problems with this hotel that significantly affected my stay: the cigar/cigarette smell in my room and the breakfast. The room, 36, smelled as if Mussolini and Fidel Castro had smoked cigars in there all night long! It really affected the quality of sleep. The second problem was that I had specifically booked a property and paid extra for a hotel with breakfast included. Well...I have to say that this may have been the worst hotel breakfast I have had anywhere. The breakfast lady and the coffee were great – but other than that there was nothing. There seemed to be one plate of ham and Philadelphia cheese that we were luck enough to see one morning, but seriously, I think there was only one for the entire hotel. The other morning, when we came down two hours and hour and a half before breakfast was supposed to end, we were told that it was already finished. The other stuff was all dry – crackers, cereal, bread basket and more crackers. So if your deciding factor is breakfast included, this is not the place for you.

Very conveniently located - near metro and walking distance to many neighbourhoods for dinner. Syaff very friendly and helpful. Room was campact especially the bathroom but manageable and clean. Air-conditioning worked really well. Breakfast was the low point with dry bread and coffee...but we ate it anyway!

I've heard about the smallness of the rooms... but I've to write some more about the room n°31. Less than 7 square meters (bathroom included), when you sit on the wc your knees touch the front wall. It's very difficult to take a shower since when you move you switch off the tap with your back. Moreover, the worst thing was the window.... a basement window (in italian <bocca di lupo>), 1.80mt from the floor: not enough natural light, even in the morning it's necessary to turn on the light. Normal breakfast. Very good position: 2 minute walking for the underground access in via Urbana (the hotel is more reachable following this adress, because it's on one street corner). Walking distance to the best places in Rome. Helpful and very friendly staff. Pity for the room... with an other one my rate would be 8; instead it's 7-

I really enjoyed the stay. I think the hotel is pretty well located. The breakfast was really good and also the attention from the ladies that serve it was excellent. My only complain is the shower, the space after close the curtain was so small and uncomfortable for me. However the cleanliness was really good.

Good reception services - small rooms but clean rooms - a bit noisy - but in the Center of Nightlive of Roam - so normal I think. Breakfast really correct with very nice people to serve you. If I come back it will be at the Hotel Ivanoe.

We booked for a 4 night stay and chose the hotel for its central location and the positive feedback on the website. We were not disappointed. Though small, rooms were spotless and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The location is ideal for a short break - easy walking distance to all of the main attractions and surrounded by lots of local bars and restaurants. Though some were expensive, many were reasonable for the city centre and service and quality was of a very good standard. There is also a very nice cafe attached to the hotel with a covered seating area outside which was very reasonable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - though I could imagine rooms would be a little too compact at the height of summer!

Good location; 100 metres from Cavour metro stop, and walking distance to Termini, Forum, Trevi, etc. In a lively quarter with plenty of bars and restaurants, but consequently quite noisy. Our double room was very small: not enough room to lay a suitcase down flat, and not enough storage space to completely unpack it! The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen, and a large person would have great difficulty getting into the shower cubicle. Apparently there are "slightly larger" rooms, but more expensive. Size seems to be a real problem in Rome hotels, but considering the price paid (October rates)this was not good value. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special, and they stop serving at 9.30, which is not ideal when you're on holiday. The staff were friendly and helpful. Stay here if you want a central location, don't have much luggage, are not fat, and can sleep through anything.

Very pleasant place, in the historical centre. The hotel is very romantic and very pleasant also. The staff is very kind and polite (Giulia and Dmitrij) The map is not too good (difficult to come at, although is simple. The Hotel is close to the Metro (Cavour station) or to come along on the Via Urbana (it is the really good adress)appr.150-200m. from Santa Maria Maggiore Church.(There is a good garage.)The famous places are very close to the Hotel.(From the Hotel 150 m. is the St.Peter's Vincoli, there is the statue of Moses (Michelangelo)...

it was great however there was construction that we were of course unsware of so our windiws were closed with paper over them making the room dark and stuffy. If we were able to open the windows it would have been fantastic!!

The hotel was having a "face lift" when we arrived so we were unable to use the roof top garden or open our windows far (scaffolding). The staff offered to take us to the roof, but we wouldn't have been able to take advantage of it. The rooms are small, but not uncomfortable, my mattress needed replacing. The bathroom, though spotless, was indeed as small as other travelers have commented. We found it amusing and took it in stride. The staff was wonderful, we quickly fell in love with them. Location was also great, halfway between the train station and the Colosseum/forum, and we walked everywhere except to the Vatican and the Spanish Steps area.

I was very disappointed upon arrival. We stayed in dbl with small bathroom. The entire hotel was wrapped in plastic for restoration and I could not open the window more than 10cms looking at the workers instead of beautiful buildings. Also we found big cockroach alive in bathroom. Bad service, when we complained.

We enjoyed excellent service from all the staff who arranged taxis and organised a wheelchair for the holiday following a late injury to one of our group. Excellent location with good restaurants nearby and less than half a mile to the Forum. Small bathrooms, but everything else,as you would expect and want.
