Hotel Homs is in the perfect position, right in the middle of all the action and a stones throw from the Spanish Steps. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom massive. Great hotel, great location and great value for money.

A great walking city, hotel right in centre of historical Rome near Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. There is a great McCafe nearby and the metro is very easy to use. This was our first time at Hotel Homs.

I stay in this hotel very often, because they keep prices in the competitive level for this place (near via Condotti). I like very much go shopping and return to my room as often as i need. I prefer go to the best disco in 5 steps from this hotel. I can visit by walking my friends live in the center. Rooms are very small, cafe in not OK, technical staff is noisy, receptionists in the day are not frendly enough, but other things are good and night receptionist is very-very frendly.

This hotel has an excellent location. It was disappointing the triple room that they gave us (super small room): the third bed was a folding one. The bathroom has a sliding door impossible to close. No breakfast included (1 orange juice, 2 coffees, 1 tea, 1 fresh fruit = 38 EUR). The electricity buttom board was buzzing in the ears all night long. The reception service was bizarre: they tried to charge the room before our arrival, asked for the payment before giving the room key and asked again for money the morning after without checking if payed or not (!), printed the receipt for bed and breakfast, later asked money again for breakfast...Unforgettable!

The location is GREAT! Stayed at a single room which was beautiful and clean but tiny. Room space is minimal. Bathroom was also very small. All amenities expected of a 4-star hotel were there, but the spaciousness.

We made a reservation for a exclusive double but they gave us a complite flat with 2 rooms, living room and 2 bathrooms for a price of the double room. We were so lucky :) The location was great only few steps from Spanish Steps. Hotel has a bar and a restaurant.

The relationship between price/quality really depends on on the first one, as prices vary from single to triple depending on season, etc. My appreciation is based on a off-peak stay

The best place for living if you come to Rome for the sales period and at the beginning of season - in the heart of shopping area. you can have breakfast at the hotel - local people come there for a morning coffee. it can be like a recomendation, i suppose. By the way, the famous disco Gilda is 3 steps from this hotel

Stayed in Excecutive Triple room. Good space for the third bed, much better than normal. Clean room, very nice bath. Good beds. But when travel with teenager we missed more english channels on TV and free internet. 5€ per hour for internet is to much. Breakfast not included, should be. We tried it. Expensive! We tried the english breakfast 15€ per person!!! But it was a very good breakfast. All in all - we will go back to this if visiting Rome again.

It is a really nice little hotel in the heart of Rome. People, like all Italians, are really nice but don't trust what they tell you when you ask details about the city. They have a tendency to indicate things wrongly. Event if they don't know, they will tell you they do. The hotel looks new. However, they could have spent more EUR on soundproof windows. You can hear tourists walking in the street and God knows the area is full of them. Overall, book this hotel especially if you don't think on spending a lot of time in the room but outside visiting town.

I stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2008 with my 11 year old daughter. Our room was small but nicely furnished in a modern way with a safe, flat screen TV, wardrobe and a very nice shower room. The size wasn't a problem and is comparable with other city centre hotels we've stayed in. Our room looked over the back of the hotel, which although not a great view ensured there was no road noise. The hotel is in a GREAT location very close to the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and a metro station. The area felt very safe and it was easy to walk to all the major sites. There were nice cafes and restaurants nearby, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If staying in Rome we would definitely stay here again, I thoroughly recommend it.

First time in homs. overall our stay was very good just 2 bad points the first room we were allocated was very smelly but the next day we were given a new one that was fine. only problem is on thursdays and sundays the rugby bar across the road have late night disco that was quite noisey. and the cleaning staff were very noisy in the mornings dont expect to get a lie on if your room is near the stairs with staff throwing stuff up and down the stairs.the location of theis hotel is excellent. we spent little on taxis because of this. everything is in walking distance.

The rooms at this hotel were recently refurbished to a fairly high standard, and they were generally clean. The bathrooms are bright and modern, but the only minor problem was with the shower configuration, making it impossible not to get the whole floor wet when showering. The location is excellent, as it is near to the Spanish Steps and the shopping streets. Breakfast is not included.

Wonderful hotel ! We have taken the junior suite wich is a wonderful space room with jacuzzy and 2 flat TV !! (never seen that before...). The price are a little bit high (around 300 euros per night) but the hotel is really exceptionnal and in the center of Rome very near of all the place to visit. Unforgettable...

The location is perfect. The hotel is really fresh since it is being newly renovated. There is still some work ongoing but this didn't have any impact on our stay. But for a 4-star hotel I had expected better attention from the staff. They were not unfriendly but rather unfocused and uninterested.

I have been using the venere site for many years, and once again my expectations regarding the Hotel HOMS, based on photos and information in the site, were correct. This hotel is very well located, near the metro (what was important to me during the week, since I was in the city for business). There are many turistic points nearby, what was really wonderful in the week-ends.

This hotel has great potential, due to his excellent location (near Piazza di Spagna), it was disappointing the room that they gave me (super small room, bed, and bathroom), paying bad internet connection (very slow), no breakfast included, and overpriced breakfast to choose (34 EUR/person for a continental breakfast). The good thing: excellent location

This hotel was in a great location around the corner from the Spanish steps. It was within walking distance of most major attractions and very close to the metro which takes you everywhere! The staff were friendly and on request allowed us to check out 1.5 hours later than usual. The room itself was small but not uncomfortable and the bathroom and shower were a good size. We didn't avail of breakfast and we found a lovely little cafe down the road called cafe via della vita (the name of the street)which had great coffee and pasteries and lovely paninis at lunchtime too-this cafe seems to be a favourite of the locals and you certainly don't pay the normal tourist prices of Rome! Overall a good hotel in a great location but like all hotels in Rome a bit expensive for fairly basic accomadation but thats the price you pay for visiting such a beautiful city!

Totally newly renovated hotel - excellent location near the Spanish steps and Via Condotti. Excellent modern bathroom and high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping. Only weak point is room and bathrooms are small,( not surprising for European hotels)- but more than made up for by its cleaniness and excellent location, so close to everything, so central!Highly recommended if you do not mind the smallness of the rooms.

My wife and I stayed at the Homs with our 22 month old son. Unfortunately, the hotel was under construction so our view of the street was obscured by scaffolding. Our only complaints during our 2 night stay were no wake-up call for our trip to the airport and the airport shuttle surprise. The hotel website makes it clear that it can arrange for a car service which costs 50 Euros to the airport. However, Venere.com states that there is an airport shuttle. The hotel was perfect for anyone who wants to be right in the heart of the city and intends on doing a lot of walking to all of the sites.

Excellent situation, near to Piazza Spagna. Good hotel, recently reformed. Good services and rooms. We stayed in a quadruple room: a little bit small because it had 4 beds...Very helpful service. Price was a little high, considering that breakfast was not included.

The hotel is only *** and not **** as stated in the online description, the room was pretty different from the ones shown on the pictures. Besides it was been reconstructed during our stay there (mid November 2006). However for the price quoted (105Euro) it was difficult to expect smth more in Rome. The location is by the way excellent, the staff is very friendly and the cappucino for breakfast - fabulous!

Despite ongoing construction (or perhaps because of), we were upgraded from our booked quad room into a 2 bedroom suite with rooftop patio which provided a fabulous place to rest and relax (despite the rainy weather). EXTREMELY close to Spanish Steps and Spagna metro station; made it very convenient to jaunt all over city. Amazing breakfast. Highly recommend!
