DON'T STAY THERE!!! They invaded our room and stolen our money and cell phone, the maid had been the last person in my room since the bed had been remade. They give the room key to anyone without asking for documents, it's VERY UNSAFE!! DON'T STAY THERE!!! The manager was contrite, admitting their responsibility, but stated she could do nothing without a police report. We did file a report and provided the manager with a copy, whereupon she informed us that the hotel management office would file a claim with their insurance company. I have tried to contact the hotel several times over the past weeks, but without any response.

Perfect hotel for short stays in the city - excellent location near statione termini, would not recommend it to people of older age (stairs, no elevator and quite noisy).

The staff was super friendly and helpful and I really appreciate all the help they provided as I was settling in Rome. My room was small, so I definitely wouldn't have paid more than I did. But the location was fabulous, centrally located, and the hotel accomodations were perfect for my needs as a single traveler.

I stayed in a single room. It was really ok: well furnished, with climatization, and clean. The personnal of the reception is very nice, and the location of the hotel is just perfect.

I was pressed to pay in cash, although this was not written on the website as a rule. No lift to 3rd floor. Not very friendly stuff. The remote controll was out of order but they just told me to push the buttons more.

Il personale dell'albergo chiede 20 € di cauzione per consegnare chiave e telecomando della stanza. Chiede anche di pagare preferibilmente in contanti.

At first the location seems to be rather bad as to the Termini Station which is situauted right across the road. But it appears to be really convenient when it goes to getting to the airport and back! The property is a moderate one but the staff is really frindly and the breakfast was quite ok.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, only the breakfast was a bit poor. but the 50 m to the Termini Station with train, metro and bus excuseed it.

Room was rather small but clean. We had some problems with the lights and the girl of the reception was a bit angry that we didn´t understand the system (maybe if she explains it at the beginning). Bathroom also clean, but the bottom of the shower didn´t work. As we only stayed 2 nights they didn´t even bother to repare it. The 2 hotels (Mirage and Halifax) with 1 reception is a bit strange. The breakfast is very poor and late for departures, but you pay it after all. The price-quality is bad, especially when you stayed before in other very nice and cheap hotels, not in Rome. But the location is good.

La posizione è decisamente favorevole per una vacanza turistica, abbiamo avuto problemi pratici con le docce e con il cambio biancheria, per il resto è consigliato per coloro che sostano, come noi, pochissimo tempo in albergo.

This was Dante's hell! I slept in my clothes and didn't use the shower. Good thing it was just an overnight stay. The location to the train station was excellent; being that my flight left very early the next morning. I was harassed to pay in cash immediately upon arrival. I refused. I told them I would pay with credit card on departure like the website stated I could do. I went out for the afternnon and upon leaving my key at the front desk I was asked yet again to pay with cash right then and there. The hallways were dark. I felt a little unsafe. The seedy element outside of the hotel was unnerving. Will not stay here again. I will splurge again and stay at the Forum.

The name of the hotel should be properly visible special for foreign tourist ... had to climb 4 flights of stairs without any elevator weith my suitcase and knap sack, they should also publish their alternative name, in this case, its Mirage & Halifax Hotels, the room should at least be carpetted or have a rug specially during winter or early spring time wherein the floors are really very cold ... but the competence and warmth of the employees are really impeccable !!!

The location of this hotel is not in the greatest area in Rome, but it is fairly cheap. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the noise at night was extremely disruptive.

the rooms have been recently remodeled. The shower was so tight I could barely move, and I am not a big person. There was mold on the ceiling. Otherwise the room was nicely equiped with mini fridge and closet. No chair was available for the desk. The hotel refused to serve me breakfast, even though it was on the confirmation, because they felt my rate was too low. They also refused to accept my credit card because of the low rate, but it was that or nothing. They did accomodate me with a larger (french) bed upon request.

To begin, the map was totally wrong. We left the Termini Station and after walking in a square, nearly ended up back at the station. In fact, the location -v- station was excellent. When we received the reservation, it was in the name of Hotel Mirage. When I questioned this, they said it was the new name, but same administration. However, when we arrived, the two hotels are next to one another, albeit not hotels as we know them. We originally entered a building which said that the Hotel Halifax was on the third floor (with no lift). It's a strange system, whereby when you get to the third floor, you have no idea there is a hotel there. You have to use an intercom to reach the receptionist. As it was, we were in the wrong place. It might, from your point of view, be worth checking whether you should still be advertising the Halifax - should it be the Mirage. After all this confusion, we got settled in. The lift for me was a bit scary. However, the rooms were newly refurbished and adequate for our needs. We were disappointed to find that breakfast is served in the room. You got one croissant and either coffee or orange juice. I asked if we got a reduction for not having the breakfast and was told no. We didn't bother, and had breakfast in a cafe. These things didn't spoil our holiday. The staff were pleasant enough and the proximity to the Termini Station made it very convenient to travel around Rome.

At first it was not easy to find as it was somewhere on the second floor. There was no reception for Halifax at the ground floor, just a sign. So we went in somewhere and asked at the reception of an other hotel. The guy totally freaked out and told me to go to the Halifax reception...finally we found an intercom an someone of the Halifax hotel came to meet us.The First room we got wasn't great because it was very noisy The people were very kind to offer me an other room. It was very clean and the people were nice.
