Hotel Giorgina is close to Rome Termi Station and places to eat. Hotel is used by school tour groups from all over Europe and at any one time there may be 20/30 hormonal teenagers making excessive noise until the early hours of the morning. We had poor sleep because of noise in hotel. Rooms to the street are pounded with traffic noise, which means windows have to be closed. Hotel staff are plesant and beds are OK, but noise is by far the greatest problem.

Apart from the breakfast of low quality, everything was fine... But even though the breakfast was of low quality, it is largely sufficient... My stay was really nice and thanks to all the staff... Hope to see you soon...

Hotel Georgina is well located, there are many restaurants, cafeterias in the area, and it is very close to Termini Station, which is very important to move in Rome, and also many trains come from different cities of Italy and from other European countries,we enjoyed our stay in Rome and Georgina Hotel

Had three problems this time: 1: Had ordered a twin bed room ( we were two friends travelling together) but got a double bed: after a first night the double bed was removed and replaced with two single bed. 2: Had trouble the first morning to get enough hot water from the shower: reported it to the staff and it was OK the next morning. 3: No key to our room in the reception when we were returning form sight-seeing: We got an extra-key for the moment and after an hour we got a phone-call from the reception and was told that it had been misplaced when we handed it in the same morning. Altogether: The hotel is not perfect, but they fix things for you and I come back to it something like once a year.

Room could use a little more cleaning. The floor was not cleaned as thoroughly as it should have been. The breakfast was ok but not great. For Roma and for the location the price was right. We spent only one night there waiting to catch the train to the airport.

Rome is an expensive city, for Rome the price for what you get was good. we were a family and we had a room for 4 people and it was good and big and clean, It was a little noisy in the hotel's corridors. the hotel place is good since you are 5 mins to the Termini station. Some of the stuff at reception were not so good to help you with everything but overall it was a good stay in Rome.

Very close to the train terminal yet excellently located for sightseeing. The young man ,Sam, at the front desk was very likeable and helpful. We were on the fifth floor but there was an elevator/lift that fit up to 4 people.Breakfast is coffee/tea, juice and a bun. Our bathroom looked like it had been remodeled recently and it was very clean. It certainly isn't fancy but for the price it was a great little hotel. I would recommend it to others and plan to book again for our last night in rome before we fly home.

We were a party of 4 in our late fifties taking 2 rooms. We were pleasantly surprised as the rooms were very clean and the staff at Reception and at Breakfast were all extremely helpful and attentive. The only noise came from being in a busy city. We all thought the Giorgina gave excellent value for money.

The staff ruined our experience here. The terriblem staff completely negates any positive characteristic Hotel Giorgina has to offer. While the hotel was in a very good location and the rooms were decent for the price we paid (90 euro for a triple), the staff was so rude and offensive that I would NOT reccomnend this hotel to any one. Not only was the owner extremely rude when we first arrived, he forcefully entered our room at midnight because he thought we were being too loud. It was not only inappropriate, but it was frightening, rude, and completely unprofessional. There are 50 other hotels of the same quality for the same price in the area. I STRONGLY reccomend staying somewhere else.

Excellent location: five minutes walking from Termini train station, which is base station for a lot of city bus routes too; five minutes walking to Santa Maria Majore Cathedral, where you can catch a Hop On - Hop Off bus (ask for the timetables before contracting, because some lines stop giving service too early). Surroundings are not fancy and next street is on repair right now (aug 09), but not too bad. A couple of Internet and Phone service are next to the hotel(7 Euro cents a minute to USA and almost all the world). A laundry+Internet across the street. Very good Pizza sold by weight twenty meters away and a couple of restaurants in the same street. In brief: a convenient place to sleep for a decent price, well located and with useful services at your reach.

Person in lobby was not welcoming; breakfast is blunt, simple and poor variety. I ordered a room without A/C assuming it will be chilled on nights, but i was wrong- very hot in Rome, so I asked for a fan or to be moved to a room with fan, since they put me in a room with A/C... I got nothing but them pushing me to add 10 euro more to activate the A/C. NOT NICE! Room in clean but feeling is uncomfortable in bed and shower too small. Location like most hotels nearby termini is ok, and they have elevator, but smokers are allowed in stairway around it...! :( ..pictures in the website say nothing...

nettes, sauberes Hotel.

We enjoyed our stay and actually came back to stay another night on our trip. It is very conveniently located to the Termini where all things end and begin. The staff was very nice and spoke some english. The breakfast was cereal and pastries. Our first room was very small and on a corner but the last room was large and spacious. You do have to pay 10 eur extra for air conditioning. I would recommmend this place to all.

This is our 3rd time in Hotel Giorgina, but the first time during high season. I can't say it is good value for money at the current rate, but when I was making the booking, Giorgina rates were at par or lower than same-ranked hotels. And since my previous experience in this hotel have always been pleasant, I decided to go with them. We stayed for 1 night only because we were to join an organised tour that was starting in Rome. The second hotel was awful. I have no regrets booking at Giorgina and will book with them again, but maybe during off-peak. One of the staff was very helpful and accompanied me to a beauty salon where I got a good Italian haircut. Thanks a lot.

Accommodation was ok for what we needed, five minutes from all the transport links,ie,rail, road, metro and tour buses.Plenty of eateries and other shops.Yes it was noisy but its Rome we expected it, I wore earplugs in bed !Breakfast was more than enough for us ,it included corn flakes on top of the usual continental style, as much coffee and tea as you required. The room was small but we had our own en-suite with one of the best showers we have had in budget accommodation, though the cubicle was cramped, dont drop the soap!We were on the fifth floor but the lift worked ok,rooms on the fourth floor would be noisy early in the morning as the breakfast room was located there. If you just want somewhere to crash out after a days sightseeing it should be ok, if you are not too picky, otherwise pay more somewhere else. The weather was great in October for us but if it was wet there are no diversions in this 'hotel',only CNN on tv in the room.

The noise in the hotel is terrible. We stayed 3 nights and couldn't sleep for any of them due to noise from other rooms. The stairwell & corridors are very open & you can hear every door shut & conversation going on throughout the hotel. Breakfast was very poor too. Luke warm coffee, dry bread & prepacked croissant. We thought from the description it would be nicer. It was more like a dorm setting. We did have a private bath attached- that was nice. The hallways and stairwell were not quaint or inviting, like I said it was like a dorm setting. We went to the breakfast once, but we found better, of course, at cafes. The one thing we LOVED was the restaurant right outside, I forget the name of it-there might have been two restaurants right next to each other. It was an awesome restaurant- great food and prices and even local Italians were eating there. (Other restaurants in the tourist areas, you could not find an Italian also eating there.) We liked that we were close to the train station, to make our connections easily, but the area is kinda trashy.

Despite its very convenient location, the hotel does not offer in my opinion a good price/quality ratio. The biggest issue was the quietness of the room. We were unfortunate to get a room on the fourth floor close to the hotel's breakfast area. As of 7 a.m. sleeping was almost impossible due to horrible noise generated by hotel personnel and guests having early breakfast. The room itself also wasn't in a perfect shape. There was a kind of dry-rot on the ceiling in the bathroom and hair-drier's pipe was broken. Additionally shower's basin was clogged.

The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful also the desk staff very helpful,if we ever go to Rome again we would stay at Hotel Giorgina.Other guests at the hotel were teenage girls on a trip with their school fom Germany they were all very well behaved and friendly. We walked to the Colesseum and the Roman Forum from Giorgina in about 25 minutes. The only negative about our visit to Rome was some shops and food halls staff were rude tend to ignore you and chat among themselves

Hotel Giorgina was unfortunately a disgrace and the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. No hot water, dirty, heard everything (!) between rooms, breakfast appalling (if you could call it breakfast!). Noisy street location. Beds were like camp beds and we were really cold. Only 1 blanket in room which I gave to my father as he was so cold. The hotel is very well located, two blocks from Termini. It was very easy to reach there walking, and I didn't feel unsafe any moment, event if it was by night. The are some good restaurants near and some services, like cheap long-distance calls and internet. The breakfest was terrible. Just some orange juice, a single croissant, crackers and capuccino. I would expect a bit more for the price I've paid. Also it ends too early: 9:30!!! The room and the bathroom were clean, but the shower took almos 15 minutes to get warm. Also the room I've stayded was on the street side, so it was a bit noisy by the morning. Resume: very well located and clean. But I expected something better for the price, especially because of the shower and breakfast.

The hotel is just 3 min walk from Termini station,so neighbourhood is not very clean and safe. But the street, where hotel is situated is OK. I spent in this hotel 5 nights and was very satisfied. Room was clean, towels were replaced every second day, bathroom was clean also. We had room facing the inner side of the building,so it was quiet. For breakfast you can eat and drink as much as you want(croissant, bread, butter, jam) and staff is so nice. Also receptionist was nice and english speaking. I would definitely stay there again.

This property was well located just a few blocks from Termini Station, less than a half-hour walk from the Colosseum and Ancient City. The staff was knowledgeable and a basic breakfast was included. The room was perfectly clean, equipped with a sufficient bathroom and TV. However, air conditioning was extra. The neighborhood is extremely noisy due solely to loud buses and scooters. For its price, this was a great accomodation

The standard of the hotel was very poor. It is the middle of summer the weather was so hot and the hotel did not provide a Ice machine anywhere in the building. Those hard bread they serve people was so terrible, just offering the guests some frutes with that would have made so much of a difference. an the fact that the breads they put out in the morning they pick them back up after breakfeast if no one eats them and serve them again the next day, so just imagine how long those hard bread will be there until someone eats them. The bathrooms were overly small and they did not provide a microwave in the room

The hotel was easy to find and a short walk from Termini, which was an imoprtant issue for us at this stay. The man at the reception seemed unintersted in running a hotel and he was unpolite. Breakfast was poor! There was no aircondition in the room and it was lots of noise from traffic and other guests at the hotel. Not much sleep due to noise and heat.

Room Simple and clean, but the bathroom is very small. Close to Roma Termini and easy to be found. There is lift! The breakfast was included on rates but could be better. Employees rudes in sometimes as usual as Italians. A good option to someone who want a place to sleep.

This hotel is very close to the train station and we had heard that it was quite rough but we hadn't any problems and it was exactly what we wanted, cheap and near the train. The guy on the reception desk when we arrived was very unfriendly and didn't even say hello or thank you, he didn't want to be there. The room was small but clean, shower was tiny but it worked. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but it was included in the price. It was served between 7.30 and 9.30.

2 minute walk to train station. Lots of good restaurants nearby. A bit noisy as a result of streetcar and honking horns. Breakfast staff was freindly to us breakfast was adequate. Clean room and hallways. Small elevator, the steps make for good exercise. The area was OK at night. Best restaurant Cafe Alfredo 2 min away.

We wanted a cheap Hotel that was fairly central to the main sites. We only wnated the room to use as a base as we were not plannig on spending anytime there apart from sleeping. We wanted our own bathroom and a quiet room free from traffic noise. Therefore, this hotel fitted the bill exacly. Our room could have done with decorating. The location itself is probably the equivalent to Kings Cross in London interm of scruffyness and characters.

The hotel room was clean, tidy and reflected what we expected from a two star. We weren't disappointed and were quite happy with the room. Possibly more suited to backpackers or groups of young travellers. We had a couple of noisy nights due to a large contingent of teenagers however, once they quitened down at a reasonable time it was quiet. The hotel is very close to the railway station and is in a safe section in Rome and there were plenty of resturants to choose from....

Very close to the termini station but near a busy street, so be prepared to hear the sounds all night (street noise to loud music). Other than the street noise, it was a pleasant stay.

We paid a little more because of the "ensuite bathroom". But it was very small. It is cramped already but Italians must have a bidet, so the toilet (seat) is in the corner UNDER THE SINK. Imagine you are sitting there with your chin over the sink. I guess you can do 2 things at the same time. There is no shower curtain. I wish they install at least a hand-held shower instead of the wall shower head. It sprays water over the whole bathroom on your everything. Very poor bathroom. The positive is location and friendly helpful staff.

I chose this hotel because of the location to the train station and the price. The directions said to come out of the train station, cross the street and walk staight. There are several exits in the station so it was hard to know which street I should be on. It was not indicated on the map. The room was noisy if the window was open and hot if it was closed. The room was clean and adequate but not fancy. The location was excellent for subway, bus, train, and even walking around Rome. We stayed in other hotels in Europe that were the same price but were much nicer.

My husband and I flew out of Rome so we decided to stay here because this hotel was very convenient to the Termini station! The hotel rooms were a good size and we did have our own bathroom but the noise was to much. The street was right below the window and we didn't sleep at all before we flew out in the morning and we're used to noise living in LA.

We got lucky, window in our room faces the interior side of the building. except of some people talking loudly at night the room was quiet(away from the normally Rome traffic noise). High ceiling made the room spacious. Bathroom was clean with the exception of the hotel towels it smelled like bleach (same for the other hotels I stayed in Italy). Breakfast was typical Rome a notch below compared to the ones offered in Florence and Mestre. Service was excellent. Close to the train stations and restaurants which is a plus. Remember you are in ROME, as long as you have a safe place to stay, sleep and shower what else can you ask for.

stayed here for 4 days after coming from milan and it was a pleasure to stay there. rooms were just as described the bathroom was small but so are all others in europe especially shower. reception guy tony was great, we became friends with him during our stay and everything was great! breakfast was nice coffee and croissants before we started our day of sightseeing. plenty of towels and prompt maid service was done early after we left room. location is prime right near termini station which for me as a new yorker is grand central. very ideal for metro and fast trains to other cities in Italy. All and all I had a great stay and would recommend it! Hope to go back again! michelle and chris from new york

me and my partner stayed there for just two night.. basically rome is not as huge as it seemed to be so getting anywhere was really convenient from the hotel.. it would be a sin complaining about the room, although breakfasts - rolls with jam day by day - should be improved.. guys at the receptions were very helpfull.. don't know how the summer bookings look like but at the end of the day there was no room available at the hotel.. are they that good? well, i would recommmend it if only that rome has changed..
