is a hostel but a better hotel. The location, close to Termini, very close to the church Santa Maria Maggiore, and generally near, on foot, many places of interest, Coliseum, Roman Forum, Capitol, several churches, but as this next to the Termini station near you is all because from there you get on the subway or bus to anywhere soon. This hotel meets the basic function, go to sleep and now, even in the room had hormigas.El breakfast was not bad, some pastries, yogurts, coffee machine, although it appreciates the basics to start the route and the general desayunado.en punturaría with a 5.

My experience was much better than expected. Both my room and bathroom were surprisingly airy and quiet, the staff were friendly and the location is also convinient. I spent a week there in June and had no regrets. Good value.

First of all, when you walk up to the hotel it is in a bad area, very shady. We proceeded to get our keys and go up to the fourth floor. When we got two the floor, we saw several men pulling out bags full of beer bottles, and another one just hanging around. The men were cleaning the bedrooms and the one man was standing around and looked like he did not belong there. We did not feel safe. As we went into the hall, we saw an overturned broken futon , surrounded by trash everywhere! This is unexceptable from any hotel. When we went into the room, the bed spread was very dirty and the walls were also very dirty. The bathroom was clean. We decided not to stay the night after seeing all of this, we did not feel say and it was filthy. When we were down to cancel the reservation, the man told us we could not despite the awful conditions of the place. We were charged the full amount 85euros, offered no alternatives, and we went elsewhere to a cleaner and safer hotel. Do not stay here, will never return. Non restare qui. Terrible conditions, not as advertised at all. Not safe. Not clean.

I SLEPT BY USING MY PERSONAL TOWEL AS A PILLOW BECAUSE IT WAS SO SMELLING THE PILLOWS AND THE BED. THE ROOM WAS NOT PREPARED TO ACCEPT ANY QUESTS, THE DOUCH WAS VERY SMALL, WE COULDN'T OPEN ANY WINDOWS BECAUSE OF THE RESTAURNTS UNDER US AND IT WAS MY 2 DAYS NIGHTMARE.

CONS: It is necessary to carry suitcases one floor to reach the elevator, without help for people with physical problems. At sometimes hot water becomes barely hot for a shower. PROS: Clean and quiet, electronic safe in the room, kind people at reception. Limited breakfast but good enough for Argentines, luggage can be left at no charge in cloakroom. Abundance of restaurants, shops and Internet places nearby, very handy to reach the Terminal Train Station and Metro station.

The hotel rooms have a kill switch for the power to each room. This wasn't a problem ecept that they didn't inform us that we had to use a key to turn the power on in the room. The 10 euros a night in the summer when rates are high was well worth it for us. Pros- staff was friendly, new lift that seemed to work well, location is close to termini train station. Cons- shower is almost non-existent, backs-up and smells after you use it.

Ferrarese is in an excellent location only 2 blocks from Termini Station in Rome. The hotel is part of a complex which also includes several other hotels. The reception is on the first floor and the rooms for Ferrarese are on the 4th floor. It was a nice little room with the window facing into the courtyard below so no outside noise came in. My ranking on the quietness of rooms only relates to the fact that there were a big group of students staying at the same time as me who made alot of noise including playing football in the hallways and yelling ans screaming while bashing on doors. I think that without that it would be pretty quiet. The only problem I had was that only one pillow was supplied, but that is a personal thing that others would not mind. Also breakfast was not included but for 40 euro a night this place is a great find in Rome. I would stay here again.

Overall the hotel was nice and clean. The worst is the tiny bathroom and specially the shower. It's not more than an hole in the ground, which means that after your shower the bathroom floor is all wet, only good enough to walk barefoot.

Good location. 300 meters from the train station. several good resterants in the area. A market, laundry, & internet cafe on the same block. The Hotel itself is not so good, The staff speaks limited english, the shower allows water to flood the bathroom floor after each use, the hotel towels are more like napkins. The rooms are large but not well maintained. It will not be my 1st choice on my next visit to Rome.

I was a single traveler needing a night stay at Rome. If I had chosen a hostel, I would be sharing the dorm with 5 others and worse would have to share the bathroom as well. Thats the only reason I chose Ferrarese as it was the next cheapest to the cheapest hostel. Even then it was 40 euros per night. I think for the service they offer this is quite high, but really cheap considering Rome. This place is ok if you are like me. You will need it only for the night and the morning and I think it is decent enough. There will be no hot water in the bathroom and there is a crazy shower curtain which will make sure the whole place gets wet. The hotel staff won't even bother to show you your room. They just give you the key. Bed sheets, towels and blankets are decent. There is a restaurant nearby and you will hear all the noise throughout the night. But the hotel is just minutes away from the Termini. It is also close to the Colloseum. If you plan to visit Rome, need a night stay (maybe 1-2 nights, beyond that at this hotel would drive you crazy), and want to save money, Hotel Ferrarese is a perfect choice. Don't expect service for the price you pay here, you can't find any cheaper than this in Rome. Maybe if you are a couple and will be out the whole day, this might be ok for you.

I wasn't that impressed by Iside; nor was my Dad. The room was a good size, even with a separate single bed, but it was drably lit, the TV was basic, breakfast was not included in the not-insignificant cost to stay there and the bathroom was a bit basic. It is very handy for Roma Terminii stazione though

Absolutely great. For the money we paid it was a really excellent deal. Our room was big, quiet, clean and brand new! Very great location. Nothing missing in the room.

It's in the busiest streets of Roma Termini. You will get what you pay for. Very small room and the bathroom are very small. Shower and toilette is separated via a showever curtain...and your toilet will get all wet after the shower - poor design. Very noisy at night since the room faced the streets. Staff...some are friendly/helpful, some are just clueless. It said breakfast included, but we were told, "No Breakfast". It's very difficult to find the hotel beause of the poor signage. Hotel's sign is overshaddowed by other surrounding hotels...so look very hard. Many shops and restaurants...good food, but expensive.

We were in Rome for a weekend of sightseeing. Ferrarese provided a clean room with a clean bathroom, and that was all we had expected. The hotel isn't exactly cheap for what it offers, but if you consider the prices in Rome it was ok. The noise from the street was quite loud, but again, that's what one should expect in Rome. Overall, Ferrarese is not a place were you'd want to spend much time, but for a sightseeing weekend it was just fine for us.

This was the worst hotel we stayed in during our trip. Though the staff was nice, and the hotel is conveniently near the train station, the walls are made of paper. A/C is not included in the price of the room which we were not informed of until we checked in. Then the a/c was extremly noisy, and we could hear every conversation and movement in the entire hotel, which is 6 rooms and a coomon area. We even had to buy earplugs during our stay. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. Rome is expensive, so bite the bullet and pay a little more for a room in this city.

The Hotel office is 32 steps up, on the "first floor." There is a small elevator which can be used. The rooms are on the fourth floor, which is 108 (five-inch) steps above street level. The elevator will take you there. We were in a quad-person room, overlooking Principe Amedeo street. It was very noisy with the windows open, and mildly noisy with the windows closed. There was a small bathroom, with one towel rack. The shower consisted of shower pipes in the corner of the bathroom, with a curtain composing the other two walls of the shower. There was no soap dish in the shower. The bed was hard. I didn't sleep well. The pillow was hard, and flat, even after I bent it double. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not included, but was five Euros if you wanted to pay for it. We got bread from a local bakery and croissants from the Bontempi Bar on Farini Street for breakfast. There is a fruit stand two blocks away by the train station where you can buy fruit. There are numerous pizzerias, ristorantes and trattorias in the area. It was amusing to this American to find the Italian Chinatown two blocks away. I can barely read Italian, much less Chinese Italian. It wasn't the greatest place, but it was tolerable, if you don't mind a bit of street noise at night. It was actually entertaining to hang out the window and watch the action down below. It isn't the type of place you stay for the hotel experience. It is the type of place you come back to at night for some sleep before hitting more sights early the next day. I would stay there again. My wife gave it two stars out of five stars. My adult children gave it three stars out of five stars. Being by the train station is good. The bus station is there. The Metro (subway) station is there. You can get to anywhere in Rome any way from the train station area.

Easy to find, very clean, friendly staff. No breakfast option, but this was as on web site, and fair enough for the price - in fact, Italian hotel breakfasts are never really up to much, and there are plenty of cafes round about, which I tend to prefer anyway. Also, several fine cheap restaurants in streets around hotel. With a central location, and at these prices, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone

The stay at Ferrarese was totally ok for the 4 nights we spent there. The room was very damp and had poor ventilation. The quilts used for the bed were disgusting and the towels for showering weren´t particularly good. The hotel is on the 4th floor in the bulding, but there is an elevator. Our corridor was very noisy,a tip is to bring earplugs!(Italians don´t seem to sell good earplugs anywhere!) For us the hotel was completely fine, we were only there to sleep anyway and didn´t care so much about standard and etc. To people who come to Rome and don´t wish to spend that much time in a hotel, Ferrarese is worth the money! I would stay in the same building again because it is a walking distance to everything!Very near Termini (3 min. walk)!Overall, Rome is fantastic!

If what you need is a stay in a nice accommodation at an affordable price, this would most certainly be a good choice. The thing I found to be the best is the location, since "all roads lead to" Termini train station. The only downside is a lot of noise, so I would recommend avoiding rooms with windows overlooking the streets.

Very clean and friendly, good location close to train station and easy walking distance to places of interest , a bit noisy when dustbins are emptied in early hours of morning (think this is normal for all Italy)..... overall we would recomend this hotel good value for money

The Hotel Farrarese is nowhere near the image provided on their website. The rooms are fairly clean and spacious, but slighty "run- down". The staff are fairly rude/short and reluctant to provide you with anything, even local information, but the will give you the price of the room (which they tried to overcharge me until I provided a copy of my on-line confirmation). If you're considering this hotel, by all means do so, but keep in mind it is nowhere near the image on their website or the sustained quality that you come to expect from Venere.com

The place was worth its price, rooms clean and spacious. We took breakfast in a nearby bar. The comparison price to comfort is absolutely ok. Perfect lokation to Metro and busses. Will book this hotel again, when in rome.

No breakfast included ! not even the possibility to get some in the hotel. The only way to get a breakfast is to take one in a bar outside the hotel.

A basic but comfortable hotel. Well located, with all attractions within walking distance. Would use again if we returned to Rome.

The only plus in this hotel is location. very easy to find, close to train station, has elevator. people were not really friendly, didn't offer much of a service, basically don't speak english. the room was very noisy, windows looking out on a busy street. They ask to pay in advance (the night before you check out) if you use a credit card & we did so - our phone was disconnected & we couldn't use it at all anymore. Our stay there was OK, but we won't stay there again & won't recommend it to our friends.

When we eventually found the hotel on one of the back streets near the main station (Termini) it was small but neat and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was compact but had all the basics en-suite bathroom, telephone, safe and bed! It was close to the underground and good, cheap restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone on a budget who wants something clean and cheap!

Good situated hotel. Directly in the centre of Rome, where you can visit all important buildings. We will use this hotel again, next year.

Quite impossible to sleep in summer with open window cause of noise from air conditioners in other rooms. It was necessary to pay extra charge (10 euros /night!)to have air conditioner and close window. No curtain at the window, in spite of other front windows in a small yard. Using the shower, bathroom and room flood (no box neither curtain)

For this low Price the Hotel is absolut top!!! Only 200 metres to the Main-Station!There is no Luxury, but everything is ok. The amount per night which is published by venere.com is without breakfast (cost 5 Euro extra) and without aircondition (10 Euro per night).

The bathroom was nice and everything was clean, but air conditioning was not included in the price, and I was told that I had to pay 10 more euros. The room looked out over the internal part of the building but was still very, very noisy and I could also hear announcements from Termini station... No breakfast.

The shower was large enough but the water was not adjustable. It came out of the wall in a single stream not unlike a garden hose. The room lighting could have been brighter.

Apart from the difficult in locating the Hotel up on the hill, the receptionist was quite cooperative giving us direction as we made our way to the hotel. Room vs price was very good, would like to stay there more offen. There is no resturant services (maybe due to season) in the hotel, which is not too good. We arrive very late and the shops were already closed. Best that can be offered is ask intending guests upfront on meal preference which can be charged to the account. Really, appreciated the lady staff on morning duty, offered tea freely to us and we have very intresting chat. As first comers his was quite good. I will recommend the hotel to anyone driving who;s concern about quality/price balance.

The staff at the Ferrarese were most helpful and courteous. The hotel location is very convenient to the train station and there are pleasant neighborhood places to have coffee and meals in easy walking distance of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the quiet room I was given and would have no objection to staying in this establishment again.

For the price and location I think the hotel was OK. My room was a bit noisy as I looked out onto the main street. Some assistance with luggage by the staff would have been muchly appreciated.

The Ferrarese was several floors of a multi-hotel building. The staff understood my limited Italian and gave me an unexpected discount when I paid cash. The room, though spacious enough, was mediocre, and the traffic and street noise was quite high. An average stay for the price, I suppose.

We are not satisfied with the services of the Hotel, especially the client atention of the staff in the reception was very bad. Perhaps, becuase of many demands of reservation in Roma, they do no see the necesitty of improve their services.
