Basic 3-star hotel, part of an apartment dwelling, with friendly staff. 1 room booked for 4 adults, was a bit tight. Bathroom/Shower was very nice. Elevator only goes up one floor – we walked the next level. Only a block to via Tritone and another to Via Veneto. Sev'l blocks to Via del Corso. A little far from ancient Rome (Colosseum, Forum, Campadoglio, Pz Venezia). Taxi ride to Vatican is about 12-15 Euro, depending on time of day.

Hotel Fellini is a convenient option for those exploring the sights of Rome. 5 minutes from the Trevi and 4 minutes from Barberini station, you can quickly get to your itinerary. Our 5th floor triple room was small but well organized and was perfectly adequate for our needs. The double pane windows did a great job blocking out road noise, and allowed good airflow when open. The best aspect of the hotel for us was the lovely and bright breakfast area. Good selection and great service. Good finds nearby... Le Lanterne - GREAT restaurant on Via della Pilotta. The pasta and pizza were outstanding Gelato Valentino - Between Trevi and hotel. Run by a loving grandfather who puts incredible care into his homemade gelato There is also a corner deli/bread/wine place one block from the hotel. Great for grabbing picnic supplies to take up the hill to the sprawling Borghese Gardens, an ideal place to let children run off some pent up energy.

This was a very nice hotel in a good location. It was easy to get to the subway, Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. The staff was very helpful. The only negative was the incredibly small size of the room. everything was nice and clean, but there was nowhere to set our bags.

The hotel is in an excellent location; it's a mere three minute walk to the Trevi Fountain in one direction and the metro/subway in the other. The room we booked was small, but we knew that in advance so we were not put off when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable, room clean, noise minimal. The staff were very welcoming and professional. Hats off to Alex and Fulvio who readily answered all of our questions, provided prompt service, and even surprised us with bottle of champagne as my husband and I were on our honeymoon. The touch went a long way in making us feel very welcome. We happily plan to stay at Hotel Fellini the next time we're in Rome and heartily recommend it to our all our friends.

Hotel Fellini is located in a great area in Rome. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and 10-15 minutes to the Spanish Steps. There are several nice restaurants near the hotel and you are only about 5 minutes from the metro. My husband and I stayed at Fellini for 2 nights. We loved the location! The hotel room itself is very small, but it was nice and clean. Our biggest complaint about the hotel is that the rooms are not sound proof. Both nights we were woken up in the middle of the night when guests were returning to their rooms. Although, the hotel cannot control how other guests behave, they need to do something about the sound echoing into other guests room. The only other thing I would mention is that the elevator is located on the 2nd floor, so if you need an elevator and can't go up any stairs Hotel Fellini would not be a good fit for you. The hotel does take your bags up to your room, which is nice. We would probably stay at Fellini because of the great location.

Ideally placed - 5 minutes walk to Trevi fountain - friendly hotel offering excellent quality/price. Staff (24/7) couldn't have been more helpful and offered helpful tourist information too. Wifi worked well on 5th floor where there's a small lounge area. Breakfast included in price was in next door cafe and offered wide range to cater for all tastes. Will happily go back there again.

The location is excellent for exploring the city, close to many iconic sites. The room was very good for our requirements, the most comfortable bed and a good shower-room facility. Previous reviews commented on the noise in the hotel; however this was not an issue during our four days. The breakfast arrangement is a wee bit different, nothing to get excited about! The hotel reception staff were superb (five stars), the best we encountered during our trip. We would definitely return here.

The location of the hotel was excellent. It was very centrally located and we were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to see. For those areas a little farther away the hotel is close to the Metro station and easily accessible. The staff were wonderful, always ready to help. The morning breakfast included was terrific. Although the room was small, it was adequate for our needs and was kept clean and comfortable at all times. We would highly recommend the hotel.

We had a great stay at the Fellini hotel for our first wedding anniversary. Our only disappointment was the breakfast: despite the friendly service, the location was cramped and VERY warm... We ended up having breakfast elsewhere on a number of days. Our room was a bit noisy from other guests as well. Otherwise the hotel has a great location, with a Spar across the road (very convenient) and a small roof top terrace where we could have a drink/snack...

If you want to take the elevator in this hotel, first, you must goes to the first floor by stairs!!! Can you imagine what happen if you arrive or leave the hotel with two or more luggages??? The elevator of this hotel must reach the P.B. floor!!! When I was in my room, I can hear the people of other rooms very clear, this hotel must isolate their walls better, in order to bring more comfort and privacy. The brakefast is very poor, no options and never changes. The staff ant the people in the front desk, very well!!!

This was the first time we had stayed at Hotel Fellini and we would return there next time we come to Rome. The location is excellent for walking to all the sites and, if needed, the Metro stop is close. It is only a short walk to the Trevi Fountain - go very early or late to avoid the crowds! The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful. We used two of their recommendations for restaurants and both were good. The only downside was breakfast. It is situated next to the hotel and very frantic!! We were there early June and the room was hot, especially upstairs. The two women coped well with the amount of people needing to be served and the lack of space and facilities. I HOPE THE HOTEL WILL CONSIDER RELOCATING THIS AREA WHILST RENOVATING THE HOTEL TO GIVE CLIENTS AND THE STAFF MORE COMFORTABLE ROOM!!!! Breakfast was ok, and you can return for more food, tea or coffee.

We had a very good stay at the hotel. The location was perfect and most of the attractions we wanted to see were within walking distance from it. The room was very clean and provided all the comforts we expected: a nice bed, fresh towels, toiletries, tv, mini ref and safe. The room was a bit small, but not really cramped as it had a high ceiling and we had a good window view. We have to commend Sergei and Diana from the desk reception for the warm welcome and for always assisting us with directions and recommending to us places to see and eat, and how to get there. We also thank the hotel for the complimentary sparkling wine for our anniversary. Only thing is that the wi-fi is weak in our room, so we have to go to reception area to get a good signal.

Staff was very helpful and had several good recommendations. Internet available as wired in the room, but had to go to the top floor for wireless access. Excellent location for access to metro, walking all around Rome and for very good food choices. Hotel also provided a US power converter. Our stay at the Fellini Inn was a very enjoyable experience! The room, while small, was very modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellant, especially Emanuella who spoke very good english and who was extremely helpful to us. She even gave us directions to her favorite gelateria (Fasci Ice Palace) which was very good! The location was very convenient, though the end of the hotel is on a big busy street and the traffic noise was loud at times. It was not enough to keep us from sleeping, but was noticeable. There is a Despar supermarket right across the street which was great for buying snacks, bottled water and other essentials. There is even a laundry two blocks away if someone packs light (like us) and were staying in Italy for a couple of weeks. One small issue to note is that while the building has a lift, it does not extend to the ground floor. You have to carry your bags up to the second floor before you get to the extremely small elevator. You can only get one person and one bag at a time in the elevator. Anyone not capable of carrying their bags up one flight of stairs will not be happy with this facility. This was not an issue for us but I thought I should mention it. The area for breakfast is right next door and while you have to travel outside the building 25 feet, we did not find it a problem as some other reviewers did.

The hotel had great value for money. It was a nice room that was decorated well and was very clean. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and were very welcoming. We actually never had breakfast when we were there so can't speak to that aspect. We loved the kitschy Fellini decor and slightly retro vibe and it was just what we needed when we looked for location, a ten minute walk from Trevi Fountain and other main sites, easily accesible on the metro, a grocery store right nearby as well. We would definitely return.

My mom and I stayed here on the night before our cruise. It was my LUCK I picked this place from all the hotels that were offered. The people were great from the moment we walked in the door. This place is like what you would see in the movie's! Quaint and homey. Our bathroom was in the hallway, but they do have them in the rooms also. Bathroom was clean and right across from our room, just like at home..There was a little terrace overlooking the bld's. The place looked just like the pictures you see on there site. The breckfast was great. Fruit,cereal,breads.etc. Really quaint. We walked all over, Trevi fountain, shops, cafe's, pizza, cobble stone roads, safe and clean. My mom is 84 and she is in a wheel chair so I needed a place with a lift.(elevator)! We then took a trans-atlantic cruise back to Ft.Lauderdale, stopping in Spain, France and the Canary Islands, and our favorite part of our whole vacation was the Fellini Inn and Rome. My mistake was we only had one night. Please, if you go, stay at least a few days or longer. You no the saying..."Rome wasn't built in a day"..Well you can't see it in a day either...Anyway, we loved it and I am sure you will to. It was the HIGH-LIGHT of our trip...Thank you Fellin Inn and wonderfull staff...Christine Holden and mom

The staff at the Inn were wonderful. One member of our group became very ill while in Rome. One of the staff, Francesco, helped contact the Embassy to find an English speaking doctor, made the appointment for us, gave great directions to the Dr.'s office, and found an open pharmacy. The maid staff was also very concerned for well being of our sick family member. The hotel itself was very clean. The food at the breakfast bar was good. It has a convenient location to public transportation. It is also within easy walking distance of many tourist sights. There is a small grocery store across the street. The only slight negative to the Inn was that the air conditioner could not keep up with the heat. However, it was over 90 F and many European hotels don't have A/C at all. We would stay here again and have all ready started telling friends about it.

Stayed for 4 nights in November 2007, the wife and I without any of the kids. Perfect time for visiting Rome. Not too crowded, and the temperature was perfect for walking the city streets. Fellini contacted us in advance to check out if we had any special requirements, arranged pick-up at the airport, etc. On arrival, we were welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Fellini. Before we crashed in the room we had almost received more information than we could absorb. Our room was are small, but clean. So was the bathroom. Breakfast was modest but ok; bread, jam, cheese, coffee. All in all, Fellini is quite close to the expectations we had from the description. Recommended for couples.

We stayed in a triple. Room, closet, drawers, safe & bathroom were spacious & very clean for Europe, which was welcome & one of the reasons for our selection. Only complaint from our party was location of room in building ("basement apartment"), but I thought it was fine myself. Any traffic noise is suprisingly not intrusive/loud. Air conditioner/heater worked well. Staff: friendly, helpful, and responsive. Interactions with owner diminished the experience for me (he micromanages, & seemed cranky), but the rest of our party bonded with him & thought he was great. I bonded with the rest of his staff & thought they were great, so it evened out. Location: almost perfect- quiet, yet close/walking distance to everything including the metro &, if you don't get lost or hit crossing street, about a 5 minute stroll from Trevi fountain. Seemed to be a relatively safe area. Laundromat a block away. Beds: comfortable, but be advised, the beds are firm. Yes, the small flat panel TV doesn't have an English channel, but you're in Rome for goodness sake - learn to understand Italian. The Inn provided umbrellas for rain, oranges to combat scurvy (or colds), & tasty continental breakfast w/ juices & coffee as you like it. Staff seemed to keep things stocked w/in reason during breakfast. Transportation: Taxi from Roma Termini was just under 8 Euro. We chose a taxi with a GPS who showed us the shortest way on the screen to avoid trust issues. He incorporated shortcuts around traffic that saved us fare so we tipped. Fellini staff arranged driver to airport on departure for 50 Euro. This was helpful, convenient & an adventure (road rules seem optional in Italy). Driver got us there with plenty of time to stand in lines to make our flight. Re: internal transport between floors in the Fellini bldg - Mind the small elevator limits (250 lbs.?). Overall, Not a bad stay. Would recommend to others.

Excellent location, within walking distance to all attractions. Only negative is that noise from doors closing and conversations in the hallways is easily heard. Overall, excellent choice and would definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely helpful. We were at the end our Italy tour and needing a place to stay for a short night in Rome (flying out early). The staff helped with a Taxi to the airport (Leonardo 52 euro)as well as early checkout. The room was pretty small, but very clean and nicely accomodated. This is a Inn, so don't expect 24 hour staffing. It was basically a room in a "apartment" style building. However, we were able to reach someone later in the evening for a scheduled "wake up" call. The area was very convenient for us (pretty close to Trevi Fountain) and some main attractions are all within walking distance. Can't say enough about the staff, they were all very accomodating. The only thing that wasn't a complete positive is the Inn was located a short distance away from a main street with lots of traffic. This noise travelled through the rear alley of the building. Didn't lose any sleep over it though.

We were on our honeymoon in Italy and started the trip in Rome. This was our first trip to Italy and the service from the staff was absolutely wonderful - especially Jean Pierre, the manager. His knowledge of the city, the best places to go (to get the best ice cream, for examply) and his ability to speak English fluently were all helpful as we figured our way around. The breakfast area was cleany, bright, airy and had a terrace on which to eat. I did feel that the pictures on the website were slightly misleading and expected a larger room than the tiny room we had. In addition, the comforter was worn and the room decor slightly lacking - but the location and extremely helpful staff made up for this.

We visited Rome to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and found Fellini was a perfect choice - excellent location, extremely kind and helpful staff (their recommended restaurants were v.good - the Cassetta in Trastevere is well worth the extra mileage, but there are many excellent eating places in the vicinity. Prices were reasonable.). Our room was furnished and equipped to a high standard. Any street noise (Via Rasella is fairly quiet) can be completely blocked out by closing the triple(?) glazed windows and using air con. However, loud noises or activities in neighbouring rooms can be heard! Everywhere was 'squeaky clean'. Breakfast was good start to the day - cheerful staff served excellent coffee and the croissants were delicious, too. Breakfast can be taken on the terrace which also provides a peaceful haven later in the day. Would recommend the 'Roma Pass' available at reception - 20 euros covers three days' city travel and two free and reduced entrances to a range of museums, sites etc Perfetto!

In my various travels through Europe, the Fellini Inn is by far the best of all the accomodations I have stayed at. My mother and I were immediately made to feel at home upon our arrival. The entire staff went out of their way to help us with our needs, and made us feel like family during our stay. The entire facility was clean, state of the art, and most stylish to boot. At the same time, I also appreciated the fact that the staff were unobtrusive and that the accomodation did not feel like a regular hotel. It felt like we had our own little flat during our stay in Rome! My mother and I are most thankful for our pleasant and relaxing stay in Rome, and I will most definitely make the Fellini Inn my "home in Rome" whenever I visit again.

This Town House is located in an excellent spot and it's only a few minutes walk from the main sightseeings of Rome The breakfast is very rich and served on a beautiful "terrace" on the last floor of the building The receptionist girl was really helpfull and friendly, providing - without having to ask - a detailed map where she explained/proposed what to see (and how to get there). She also adapted her suggestions to our timeschedule. Rome in general is a charming city (and I come from Paris) and I would suggest a 4 day stay (at least) to this Town House in order to visit the mainstream spots. If it's possible try to be there during Spring or Autumn.

What a welcome! Claudia who checked us in was so informative. She showed us around the hotel and showed us our room and detailed information regarding the sites. They even had a bottle of champange waiting for us since I was celebrating my 50th birthday in Rome. Jean Pierre who is the owner, was as delightful as they get. We had a little party late at night on the 5th floor balcony and he didn't mind at all. He even stayed and visited with us for a while! (you should have tasted the sausage Jean Pierre!) The hotel is exceptionally clean. Let me tell you, I traveled Europe for 3 weeks and this was by far the best location, best price. You can't beat this location. I recommend Chianti's for delicious food just up the street from the Trevi Fountain. (which was less than a 5 minute walk) The breakfast was just enough to start the day. Plenty to choose from. Eating breakfast on the balcony was perfect. Some may say the rooms are small but it was perfect for us and very clean, air conditioned, and TV. This is the first time I shared a bathroom and it was a pleasant experience. We got to know the 2 girls we shared the bathroom with and they were thoughtful and fun! Jean Pierre ... I can't thank you enough. I will personally contact Fellini direct for my next visit. (which I hope is sooner than later) The Fellini Inn corresponded with me via emails before I left the states. Directions from the train station (10 minutes max) were perfect. What a wonderful experience. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! Ciao my friends!

Joanna at the front desk was incredibly helpful, taking extra time and making phone calls to help us get to Tivoli Gardens. She also took note of a birthday, and had a complementary bottle of smooth Brut delivered to the room-FANTASTIC. The location was unbeatable, very near public transportation, and within walking distance to Trevi Fountains, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. Because of the location, the room wasn't quiet-but we could care less!!!! As for the room, the bathroom was gorgeous, and the most spacious bathroom I encountered in my travels in Italy. The bedroom was a bit small though, and could benefit from a luggage rack/stand.We only stayed 1 night, but would do it again in a heart-beat. Thanks for making our last day in Rome memorable.

We booked transportation back to Ciampion airport through the Fellini Inn, and I think 70 Euro was a bit pricey, but otherwise a fantastic stay!

Had a great time here, service was excellent. The only fault was getting ripped off by the driver they recommended to take me to the airport. Fantastic location - within walking distance of all the must do sites. Beautiful room and bathroom, but very small. Just be careful you don't get down to breakfast late or you may not be offered the full range.

Nice clean rooms with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the close proximity to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and enjoyed ending our days at either of those places before the short walk to our room. Traffic noise from the tunnel was louder than some areas of Ancient Rome I am sure, but we had no trouble sleeping because of it. I would recommend this Inn to anyone who wants a nice clean room and plans to explore Rome by foot. Thank you Fellini Inn for our wonderful stay.

We were in Rome for two nights - we had a warm welcome and met friends from England. They accommodated us in rooms beside each other. It was a noisy busy corner, but we did not hear this in the rooms - very quiet. Very clean and large enough. On arrival a map was supplied and we were shown the best route to find the most popular attractions eg: Trevi Fountain & Colosseum. The restaurant recommended to us was the Ristorante Le Naumachi which was very good - we discovered our own the next night next door to Andreucci in a Rome laneway - sorry can't remember the name - very popular. It was a perfect location.

Perfect location for walking to all sites. Reasonably easy & pleasant walks to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Piazza d'Espagna, Colliseum & Palantine Hill and even St. Peter's & Vatican City. Friendly & helpful staff, especially Jean Pierre & Claudia who promptly addressed any requests & answered questions. Rooms were small but impeccably clean with modern, fully functional baths. Our corner rooms (305 & 306) were nicely decorated, the beds very comfortable, and no street noise was heard when windows were closed. Would wholeheartedly recommend Fellini Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Rome in pleasant--if not luxurious--surroundings. Our two meals at Gioa Mia were tasty if a bit rushed and hectic. "Le Sorrelle" restaurant (on via Belsiana behind the Spanish Steps) serves wonderful, "new Italian" and traditional cuisine beautifully prepared and served -- but is on the expensive side (100-125 Euro per person for a wonderful, 3 course meal with a moderately priced bottle of wine.)

El hotel esta muy bien situado. Los empleados son muy atentos. El unico problema es que el baño es privado pero fuera de la habitación(justo enfrente). Excellent location. You could not dream of something more convenient. 3 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain. Excellent for the price ~150 Euro. However there are several issues, for which one should be prepared. (1) Owner does not live there and usually there is nobody waiting for guests, so you need to call before coming and arrange that you are let in. It is written in confirmation, but easy to miss. (2) There is no phone in the room, and the only available phone is in the breakfast room, which is open in the morning. If you don't have cell phone, you are out of communications during day and night (which is even dangerous in case of emergency). We had the trouble of arranging taxi to get out to the airport at night. So make sure you have cell phone. (3) Breakfast was so-so, but for us it was not an issue...

Excellent stay in this B&B, nice people and warm welcome. Excellent rooms (like an hotel), except quietness (better hope for quiet neighbours). In comparison to other hotels or B&B in Roma, price is ok, but you can't say it's worth it if you compare with other cities (130 euros for 1 night for a B&B!!!).
