We checked in the first day -the room was great but it tourned out to be noisy. They changed our room with no problem and we got one c=facing the inner courtyard which was fine. The staff was wonderful -very helpful and the breakfast was as they said it would be. More than adequate to start the day.

The hotel is situated in a quiet and elegant area, with lots of statal buidings, close to the railway station, near the metropolitan and not so far to the historical places (20-25 minutes walk), nice staff, helpful and polite, clean rooms, but not every floor was of the hotel, some were inhabited by other persons. The hotel is indicated for people not so demanding/spoiled. Breakfast: coffee and croissant, yogurt, cereals - was ok, they don't serve other meals.

The first room they gave us was tiny. they forgot to read my note about I need a baby cot.when they put the baby cote I could not open my baggage because there was no place to put them.second day they gave us a better room but we had an awful night. the staff were kind but the breakfast was very poor. ıf you have baby or young child do not stay in this hotel because lots of stairs will cause problems.

The hotel is on a great location, 5 minutes away from Via Veneto and Piazza Republica. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was massive although it lacks a lot of modernization! Breakfast was pretty good, the only annoying thing is that the room available for it is not big enough and you might have to quewe for a while on the hallway. i was sorry for the rooms next to the breakfast room! make sure you don't get one of those! The AC in the rooms was very good and you can hardly hear any noise from the street. General review I give is an 8. I would give a 9 or a 10 if it wasn't for the fact that the building and the rooms were very old and very poorly decorated and oldfashioned. Quality Vs price, very good.

Hotel is located on a quite street in 10 minutes by walk from Termini. Breakfast is really simple. Hot and cold beverages and a lot of baking. That's all. There is wired Internet in the lobby. Free! When checkout manager gave me 5% discount for next stay.

This hotel doesn´t seems one at first sight, and too many stairs to get to reception desk and to the lift. But after all, the room was very big and with a good bathroom. The location is not exactly good, but it is not a bad either (1 Km far from the train station and 400 to 500 mts to the subway station).

The rooms are clean but standard rooms are very little inside. The staff is very kind. Breakfast is minimal and not so various. The room for it is so little. You have to pay extra charge for car parking (23 euros per day) and it's not specified in hotel characteristics. The location is very good, you are close to metro lines and buses. Thanks.

The pictures and the hotel website in general indicated a much nicer quality hotel. The room was very small and not much room to put things. Bathroom was tiny. Although, having read other reviews it sounds like this is typical of Italy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Especially so when we realised we had left some jewellry in the safe. It was found and returned immediately! Although the main sites were walking distance, they weren't right on the doorstep as I had expected. The Colosseum was about a 30 minute walk. Trevvi Fountain was about 20 mins. Overall, our stay was fine. We were only there for a long weekend and the bed was clean, the shower was hot and we got a nice cup of tea in the morning!

Overall we quite enjoyed our stay. The location of the hotel was good. The staff were helpful and quite friendly. The rooms and bathrooms (there were 4 of us), though quite small, were clean. For breakfast there was a choice of 2 cereals, neither of which was nice, and all 4 of us like our cereals. Also it would have been nice to have some fruit for breakfast. The room my husband and I were in overlooked a main street so the noise of traffic was quite loud all night.

Centrally located and within walking distance of many sights and public transportation. We had asked for a quiet room not on the breakfast-room floor. We arrived to find our room was one of the better rooms on the street side (which would have been very noisy)--the hotel changed our room to one at the back (no view/balcony, etc.) but quieter. Very good continental breakfast--cereal, yoghurt, fruit in addition to the bread/croissants. Excellent coffee!

Hotel Embassy was clean, but the room was small and spartan. The floors were bare. The shower in the bathroom was so tiny that an average sized person could barely fit. We had to haul luggage up steps to the lobby. Although there was an elevator, there were also steps to the actual level of our room. The location was good, but we would not stay there again.

The location of the hotel is perfect – between two Metro Stations, 5 minutes walk from Termini, close to main tourist attractions: Via Veneto, Via Del Tritone, Galleria Borghese, Piazza del Quirinalle, Via delle Quattro Fontane, Fontana di Trevi, etc… I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and will stay there during my next visit to Rome. Service was good.

The good things about this hotel are: the location (just off a main road with bus stop to get to the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, a few minutes walk to the Metro and, a little further on, the train station; helpfulness of reception staff; the cleanliness of the rooms; the reasonable price. The bad things are: trying to find the entrance; no fruit on offer at breakfast; trying to get breakfast at 7.00 a.m. (even though it's advertised to start then) as I was in a rush to get away for the coach to the airport; having to pay on arrival rather than checkout; and finally the location of some of the rooms: avoid the third floor at all costs - room 312 will give you sleepness nights because it is near to the clunky lift, and also the breakfast room so if you manage to get some sleep you'll be awoken by china being put on marble top tables!

While this is not my preferred area of Rome to stay in, the Embassy worked well as it was near the hotel my brother was staying in--easy walking distance though hilly. I do not spend much time in the room, but would prefer a bit more room around the bed and in the miniscule bathroom.

The relationship between price and quality was fair. We had a small room but we paid only 68.00 euros per night in january. The hotel with its central location is ideal for people who want to spend their time outside, touring around Rome and need a clean, simple room to rest for the night's sleep. Two more things: 1. Quiet rooms are availabe but you have to specifically ask for them. 2. One thing annoyed us: the aircondition did not work properly so we could not warm the room.

Apart from the noise from the street below, we enjoyed our stay at The Embassy. The room was better than expected for the price and we found the staff very helpful and friendly. The location was good, far enough away from the Termini to be in a safe area but close enough to easily access public transport. There were a few restaurants around and we found we could easily walk to sites such as the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. Breakfast was the usual crossiants and rolls, but cereal was also available. We would definitely stay at the Embassy again because of its affordability, clean rooms and location. Just bring earplugs if traffic noise annoys you.

Good value for money. Only complaint was size of shower cubicle - if you are larger than size 14 then room with a bath might be a better option. With a room on the third floor you are guarenteed an early start as the breakfast room is also on this floor - on the plus side the earlier you are out the less tourists there are around.

I booked this place because of others reviews on this site. It was nice but the noise from the street bothered me. Even with the window closed you could still hear street noise. But it didn't bother my friend....so its up to what you can handle. The room was big and the bath nice size. The people working there were very helpful and nice. This place is close (3-4 blocks) to the train station which is good while traveling and the bus stops right in front of the hotel street to take you into the city. Very convenient. There are many restaurants around the area and some shops. Two banks right across the street. The air didn't work well in our room which was right behind the breakfast room (where someone in their review said not to stay and that is where we ended up) The breakfast was OK....mostly cereal and bread. Most others brought their own fruit like we did. I would stay here again but would want a quieter room away from the street noise. The hotel has a lift.

The Embassy was a good choice at a reasonable price (for Rome). It is well located, within walking distance of the main railway station and sites such as the Trevi Fountain, it is across the road from a bus stop, and fairly easy to find. We were impressed with the welcome from one staff member who gave us useful information without prompting, including a very useful guide to tourist sites in Rome. The room was average in size and quality but no better or worse than other 3 star hotels in Italy.

Compared to hotels in Venice and Florence booked through venere.com, the Embassy in Rome was a let-down. The front desk personnel were not very friendly or helpful, the room was "Spartan" and we had to use the bathroom in an adjoining room for one night when we were told that the toilet in our room was broken. Our room on the first floor faced a busy street, so there was traffic and pedestrian noise during the day.

The hotel is excellent -- good location, great price. I shopped around and had to stay in different hotels with a tour, and this was superior to anyt other hotel. You can walk home late at night, as a single woman, from Trevi Fountain, and feel safe. This was the best priced, best location hotel I found -- I would stay here again in a heartbeat. A nice hotel, poor breakfast, don't book the room next to the kitchen, it is very noisy early in the morning!

If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay that's fairly close to the major sites, with good breakfast and a clean and very spacious room this is the hotel for you! We were very happy we stayed at Embasssy!

The service provided matched my expectations. For foreign visitors, it'd be good for them to get specific information on how to get to the hotel. A lot of time is wasted in finding the hotels, in general, especially when you've never been in the city before.

Good hotel location. Rather strange layout of hotel with some rooms sharing same floor as private appartments and offices. There was quite a bit of noise from the adjoining room. Guests arrived back well after midnight making a considerable amount of noise before they settled down. Perhaps the hotel should look at better sound proofing between rooms. Otherwise a reasonable hotel for the price in an excellent city centre location.

Our stay at the Embassy was one of convenience, not really caring about asthetics, but we were very pleased with the size, comfort, cleanliness, and noise level of our room. Rome is bombarded with sounds of scooters, ambulances, etc. bouncing off the buildings and into hotel rooms, but we slept very soundly with our sound insulated window shut. The location is great for a 3 block walk from the republica station, or only ~6 blks from the main termini station. Via Venito is a comfortable 5 blks west. The staff was very nice and very tolerant of our broken Italian (politely responding in English). Bottom line, you can't beat the price for a safe, comfortable, nicely situated hotel. If you are on vacation to see Rome, not to enjoy an especially luxurious hotel stay, definately consider this finely run three star hotel.

This hotel is a dump. I should have realized that something was wrong when I was asked to sign my credit card slip for the full price of the stay upon my arrival before I even saw the room. Two of the employees were very helpful and tried their best. One (an older man) was arrogant and offensive. The public areas were dirty. I will never set foot in this hotel again.

The prices for rome standard, as we learnt, were moderate. the pictures of the room shown on the web site, however, were rather misleading. i was rather disappointed! luckily, the rooms at least were very clean! the location is good. very central. 5 min walk to either termini or republicca, 20 min. walk to spanish steps and sourrounding!

Please be aware that this hotel is not a 3 stars. The building is dirty and very old. For the same price so many pretty hotels are available in the nearby. The distance between web pages and reality is absolutely unacceptable.

I booked this hotel on the strength of the description and the pictures on the web, I expected quite a high standard hotel hence the high room rate of 160euro. The reality was completely different, the standard was of a Bed & Breakfast hostel with a room rate of 60 to 70euro's.

From the outside I thought I had made a mistake booking it as it is quite an old building but once inside my concerns were put to rest. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were impeccably clean and fairly spacious. The beds were comfortable. The shower in my room was brilliant...and let's face it we needed about four a day as it was Rome in July!! There's nothing worse than a shower that dribbles out and barely gets you wet. I am glad to say this was not the case at the Embassy. I would recommend this hotel to friends travelling to Rome in the future and I will stay there again myself when I go back.

We thought the Hotel had all the basic amenities and was good value for money. It is under 10 minutes walking to Termini so convenient for getting around Rome.

My only complaint was the street noise, which is inevitable in Rome. The Embassy is an excellent choice. Good location (close, but far enough away from it all) and very clean. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is very convenient for connections - the special train connection from the airport to the central terminal plus the walk to the hotel took us just over an hour. The location of the hotel is very central being close to most of the government offices but this is also a bit of a drawback as there is very little greenery in the immediate vicinity. It is an easy downhill walk to the main tourist sights. To get to the Vatican is also very convenient by either bus or metro. The only disappointment with the hotel was the minimal 'bready' breakfast
