Good: the location??( but not that good) Bad: FIRST, the size of the room was toooo small. I stayed in a triple room and only one person could pass through the room to the bathroom. The room is originally for only 1 or 2 guests. SECOND, the hot water is not enough for 3 people. The worse thing is the attitude of the staff and the owner. They said " Pay 20 euro for a superior room, or just wait 40 minutes till the hot water is prepared(even though taking a shower, naked in the bathroom), or just go to other hotels". Hot water is not a superior thing, it's standard, so basic thing for staying in a hotel. They said my room is 'standard'. Can you imagine that you have to wait 40 minutes naked in the bathroom? THIRD, the room is very dirty. Especially, it seems they don't clean up the floor and the table. Please double-consider staying in this hotel. Thank you.

It's really basic. The reception is OK with a modern look and two available computers, but the room seems sadly, old fashioned,(ugly colours and light). The bathroom was clean. The cakes for breakfast: very good, but the coffee was awful. Good location, of course.

I only stay for one night. the room is quite good for a short stay. I´ll recomend this hotel and if I ever be in Venice again, I sure go ther again. The only bad thing is to find the hotel, because I have to call and ask for directions... is not easy to find at all!!!! but apart of it, is really good!!

Our room was small but clean and quiet. We had some concerns about security - the key had to be left at the desk but they did not check your details when you requested a key. The hotel is in a central location within walking distance to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. A metro station is only 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast was great. Overall a good value budget option in a central location.

Hotel Elite was very small. It was a little difficult to get situated in the room with a normal sized suitcase. The hot water lasted long enough for only one quick shower but I stayed in Rome during July, so cold water wasn't so terrible. The television didn't work. Besides a few quirks, for the price and location, it was not at all a bad hotel. It definitely suited my needs. And, most importantly, it had air conditioning!! I think this hotel caters more towards first time travelers in Rome. The surrounding area tends to be pretty touristy. Other than that, I think it caters to pretty much anyone's needs.

Fantastic location to walk to Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. We had a quad room which was a good size for European rooms. Very clean. The bathroom was another story. Needs restoration soon or it will just fall thru to the floor below. The parquet floor was peeling up from previous water damage. The shower filled up fast if you weren't careful, and the hot water ran out quickly. We discovered that with 4 people, each had to only turn on the water in short bursts so as not to over-run the pan or use up the hot water. If you can live with that, the rest was fine. It was quiet with the window closed even facing the street. It was bright when the shutters were open. Continental breakfast was included and was ok. Free internet. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. I hope they renovate soon, because I would definitely stay there again.

Situated 2 minutes beside an underground station the hotel is optimal situated. The big minus is the room size and more the ded size. Quoted as a double bed room the bedsize is only a double for kids and the matress was very soft and very old. The size of the bathroom matches the rest of the room. To shower is only possible with acrobatic skills.

Fantastic for the price and location. Rooms were cheaply and simply furnished as you'd expect for the price, but were very clean and comfortable and at a good tempurature (during a cold snap in Rome). Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and were a godsend in negotiating with the local hospital when one of my friends fell in the street and broke a leg at 3am but found he'd left his medical card at home. Breakfast was standard but included the added bonus of freshly baked bread rolls which you don't often find in the cheaper establishments. Bathroom was cramped (had to stoop to shower -- but I'm 6 foot 3) but perfectly adequate and hot water was available all day. If you're the type who wants to spend a lot of time in your room (other than sleeping) then look elsewhere, but I couldn't recommend Elite highly enough for those who just want a fantastically located cheap base in central Rome (200 metres from Barberini metro). I visit Rome 3 or 4 times a year and Elite is my new first choice for a Roman hotel.

This hotel was in a great loction just a 2 min walk from both the Trevi Fountain and Spansh Steps, it is up a quiet road with a lovely steak restaurant on it i wouldrecommend it.the room was tiny but extremly clean again the bathroom was rediculously small bu clean. the room was clen daily. the walls where very thin and you could hear quite alot through them. i would reccomend this hotel for it's location but only if you won't be spending alot of time in the hotel as it's not one you can lounge around in we only used it to wash and sleep in so it was fine for us.

Hotel Elite's location is perfect for exploring Rome by foot or metro. I felt the room, though a bit dated, was charming, very clean, and the price perfectly acceptable for a hotel in that area of Rome. The receptionist was always friendly and helpful when asked for information. And there was a computer for use by guests, free internet connection. I was amazed that in the center of Rome a hotel room could be so quiet, the only noise at night being hotel guests in the hallway returning to their rooms. We had a room that overlooked the courtyard.

Perfect location very central in Rome - near the Spanish Steps. Very good value for money. The employes were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very different in size and shapes - we had asked for separate beds - and got it the day next day without a problem. The central location, a clean room and a bed to sleep in - thats what you need in Rome. We would like to choose this hotel another time

We were placed in a room that resembled something rather like a bomb shelter. It was dark, tiny and unwelcoming. The sheets and blankets were damp. The bathroom (which was just a converted closet) was not only inconvienently small, but the shower would flood the entire room when used. The second room we were placed in was better, although the shower left much to be desired. Not only did we run out of hot water rather quickly, but there was no way to hold the hose up. It made for very awkward showering. There was a woman at the front desk who was helpful. Although in the evening, there was an older gentleman who had was not. In fact, we had an important message we were waiting for. And no one chose to give it to us, until the next morning. Overall, we were highly disappointed with our stay at the Elite.

the room was microscopic, bathroom even smaller. lots of noise from young people on upper floor public area. We had a serious health issue while there and needed to stay over and were told there was not room there and they would not help find other lodging. Also my husband's wallet was stolen by the maid or someone else with a key to our room when my husband was taken to the hospital

Hotel elite, had a great location close to everything. You cannot beat the price. For me I really do not ask for much except for a place to rest my head, clean and close. The only aspect of the hotel that made me upset, was the little rude maintenance man. If I wasn't a nice guy I would of crammed my fist in his face!!!

I dont have any good things to say about the hotel because the room was absolutely uncomfortable. The bath is not fit for a grown person and from the constant overflowing of water from the shower, the room stinks and is present of mold. The room's wood flooring was coming off, again from the overflowing shower, and the room is abnormally small.

The people at the reception was very gentle and the hotel is in very good position in the centre of Rome, but the room was too little, unconfortable, ruined and not very clean. The price is too high for such kind of room. it does'nt deserve to be called "hotel".

Be aware that this an older establishment and a walk-up; however, there is a small elevator (not good if you are claustrophobic)- do not be taken aback by the small doorway entrance and long corridor to the desk. You will be very satisfied with your room and service. The continental breakfast was also very nice. The customer lobby upstairs was very comfortable with a fast internet point to be used by all 24/7. The location was central to many sights - this was our first visit to Rome and we walked everywhere from the hotel (we were given a very good map on check-in). Be aware, the hotel is on a steep road. Hotels are very expensive in Rome - this was a great value.

I found the Elite a comfortable and central place to stay. It was nothing over the top, but met basic needs (small rooms and ammenities, which may not be comfortable for big people or those needing to be in big spaces). I would recommend it for stays during the week. I would hesitate to stay there again on a weekend night, as when I was there Friday night, either someone in the same courtyard was having a really big and loud party or a disco was in full force. The noise was so bad and so late, it was impossible to get any sleep/relax. In any case, the receptionist, who said he knew nothing about it (I'd be surprized), very kindly moved me to another room.
