Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to Colloseum trough small park that provides benches, shade, quietness and outdoor snacks and drinks. Nice way to start and end day in Rome. Easy to find ,15 min walk from train station. Plenty of restaurants and food shops around. Safe surroundings. As for the hotel itself, I give low marks for very uncomfortable beds and lack of shower curtain. It makes such simple thing like having a shower quite a chore. On the good note, the room we stay in was big enough for four. Lots of storage, big windows, sunny with very high ceilings. The bathroom is big, modern and clean. Plenty of big towels, soaps and shampoo. The hotel has very nice courtyard with tables and chairs and some greenery. Perfect for outdoor drinks and pizza at the end of the day. High marks for breakfast. Huge selection of cold cuts, cheese, yogurts, boiled eggs, jams, rolls, fruit, juice and three kinds of coffee . The buffet is filled constantly, so no need to worry if you sleep in. After breakfast you can finish enjoying your cappuccino at the garden table and plan your day in Rome. Courtyard is big enough and interesting enough( family of cats lives there) to keep kids busy while you so. Feels almost like home. I can highly recommend to anyone.

I travelled with my mother. And we stay in a twin bed room. It was ok! The hotel is near of Coliseu, but it isn't so far from the center. But there is a metro station near _just four blocks. The rooms are ok, we had a good stay!

Finding the hotel a bit difficult when walking from the train station - should have taken the taxi from the airport, but once there easy walking distance to the station as well as the Colliseum, etc. Return trip was booked there however they were overbooked so they put me up in a 5-star hotel - very nice!!! All staff were very friendly and accommodating at the Edera. Recommend rooms not overlooking the patio/garden as they are smaller than rooms overlooking parking lot, but everything clean. Thrilled with the breakfasts and coffees!

When we arrived at Edera we were told that we were being sent to another hotel in the same group. It was located in the same area of the city slightly closer to the centre. The Edera paid for our taxi and for the upgrade as this was a nicer hotel (Hotel Viminale). Well done Leonardi Hotels! We had a terrific stay. Everything was class!

There being no in-room safe, we had to leave our valuables at the front desk. What we were not told about was that they charged per day for this service. The location is acceptable - the centre of Rome is expensive, but here we were a short walk through a park to the Colosseum and the Forum, and a short walk up to a main road with lots of restuarants. Not an ideal location, but could be worse. The hotel was a bit run down, but everything worked, even if old and slightly falling apart. And it was quite quiet. I would however try and find somewhere else for my next stay in Rome - a little more central, and a place that either had inroom safes or was upfront about the charges. The bed was two twins pushed together.

Very nice hotel in good location near Coleseum at moderate price. Nice quiet neighborhood with some restaurants and cafes. We stayed 2 nights sepatrated by 2 weeks. Our only complaint was the 2nd room's bath smelled badly of mildew.

The hotel lies near the Colosseo at a perfect place to go by metro or walk through Rome. If you arrive by car, don't panic. There are only oneway streets but even we have found the way to the hotel. :) The beds are not very comfortable, but the city is great and the rooms have air conditioning, which is necessary to survive in august.

Generally i'm very happy with the hotel. Its personnel is very competent and friendly, and very helpful. The rooms are very neat and comfortable and stylish. and what i liked most - in five minutes of walk you reach the park with spectacular view for Colloseum!!!! and actually, it's much closer from Colloseo metro than any other. If you plan a short stay and look for central location with affordable prices, clear and sunny - this hotel is a right choice.

We were looking for the location for more than one hour, because the map given on venere.com was WRONG!!! I was already close to stop looking for this hotel until a nice front-office clear of another hotel helped us. I informed the hotel too, about the wrong map. Don*t forget to correct the mistake because it is really anoying to walk around and around for hours without being able to find a hotel - only because the map in the internet is wrong.

The colosseum and two important churches San Giovanni and Santa Maria Maggiore are in walking distance, as well as the tram station Piazza Vitorio Emmanuele. The quarter has many shops, café and restaurants nearby which is very nice and comfortable. However, the quarter into direction of Piazza Vitorio Emanuele is rather of low living standard and not very clean, you should not be afraid of immigrants. The quarter in direction to Colosseum is much nicer. Regarding the room I was not satisfied with the size: I booked a double and had a bed in only French size. Compared to other hotels and considering high season, the price/quality relationship was still satisfying and the personnel at reception friendly. So overall judgement: Recommendable.

This was the first hotel we stayed in on this trip and it compares very favourably with every other we visited. The courtyard in particular was an oasis of tranquility after a day exploring the hot, crowded city. Although the room was very compact it was exceedingly clean and very quiet. We know the hotel was full but we didn't overhear any other guests from our room.

Our ratings are affected by the fact that we got an old, small and quite unsatisfying room with failure in the electrical provision system, without any warning and excuse when we arrived. My wife was terrified by the idea that the hotel could burn during the night. We were also not satisfied with the lack of an opportunity to buy coffee and tea during the day and evening. With would also want course bread and other meat than ham/pork, which I cannot eat because of reumatism (And what about jews and muslims?). Anyhow - we were quite satisfied by the standard of our second room, and the service was good, but a little cool. Roald Anthun.

Hotel rooms rather small and basic. Didn't expect carpets on floors in an Italian hotel. Safety deposit box not in room as stated. Parts of hotel in need of upgrading. Staff very pleasant and helpful but rushed off their feet in the dining room. Bar never seemed to be open.

The room was very nice, however small for the price we paid. The only noise complaint we had was because of construction directly across from our room. We would have liked to sleep in a day or two but the construction woke us up at 8am. Overall a good hotel though.

Property were very unpleasant when replying via email to my inquiry on how to make changes to reservation. Staff at hotel lacked in courtesy. Room badly needed redecoration. Bathroom piping gave off foul smell. Shower drain half blocked caused shower plate to overflow. Filthy plastic shower curtain very offputting.

The main problem was that we were switched from the hotel we selected (Edera) to another within the same chain (Galia). We were not notified in advance so arrived late on Friday night after many hours of travel to be told this was no longer out hotel. This meant we were separated from our friends who were staying at the Edera. However, our taxi to the new hotel was arranged and paid for and the Galia was a good hotel overall. I have marked location, photos and available rooms as 'poor' because when booked we had intended to stay at Edera and knew nothing of Galia.

This hotel was very convenient for us because of its central location and the save parking in the courtyard. We were happy with our room, which even had a small balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative things about it were the noise of the air conditioning and the smell from a drain in the bathroom. All in all it's a great place to stay and we can recommend it.

The hotel in general was actually quite nice if you're not looking for anything fancy. Good service, good location, near the Colloseum. Too bad, maintenance wasn't kept up. A lot of the furnitures were pretty old and scratched all over, I even saw a cupboard with its door fallen off its hinges. I got a room on the 6th floor with a large terrace/view deck. The view was wonderful. This really compensated for the loud noise of the water pumps (I assume it was the pumps because at night the noise comes in longer intervals). But other than that, the stay was worth it!

Hotel Edera was good value for a short stay. The location is in a quiet street and yet very near to the Colesseum and attractions. Reception staff were ok but could have been a bit more welcoming. We felt that there was a language barrier and thus conversation was minimal. Otherwise we were quite satisfied with the hotel and the reservation with yourselves. Thank you.

Though the hotel was very nicely appointed and the location was ideal, the lift was out of service for my entire stay (While a new one was being installed.) The room was spacious and had a lovely view in a very quiet. After 9:30 am, hot water was often not available. After another guest complained about the availability of hot water, the water pressure was reduced, so that only a dribble came out of the shower. The staff could not resolve this problem.

The first room was inundated, the second one was dry but smaller. TV needs to be shaked to remove the snow from the screen. Fridge in the room is usefull, but unfortunatelly too noisy. Othewise, the area is quite and you're very close to the Coliseum.

This was the perfect choice for our stay in Rome. Although the hotel is centrally situated, it is located in a quiet street (a rare occurence in Rome) and noise levels were low. The hotel itself more than lived up to our expectations of cleanliness and service and I would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking accommodation in the city. It is located within 5 minutes walk of the colleseum and central station., making it ideal for those wishing to see the sights. The only minor downside was that although the hotel has a lounge area and advertises a bar, drinks were not available.

Our first room was with twins beds and we had requested a double so changed straight away, which was fine. The 2nd room then had no cold water so after we had unpacked we had to pack again and change rooms. The 3rd room then had no hot water, the toilet didn't always flush and there was a constant noise like a generator next door. We asked for the water and toilet to be fixed but the Receptionist told us to change rooms, which we refused as we didn't want to pack and unpack again. The water and toilet were fixed the next day but the shower just went everywhere and the bathroom floor was always wet as a result. The actual bedrooms were fine though in all the rooms.

This was our first stop in a tour of the Italian Amafl coast... The room was a short walk from the train station, and rather outdated. The area was not too far off the beaten path, far enough for it to be quiet, yet still walking distance to the Coleseum tourist drag. The bathroom was difficult to move around in, and we got a twin instead of a double. Breakfast was the standard fare, perfectly enjoyable. The room itself was quite ugly... but one doesnt go to Rome to stay in the room.
