the hotel is very good, the room was quiet and clean, with very spacious bathroom; the breakfast was excellent, even with fresh orange juice! coffe was good. The location near Termini station (5 minutes walking) in a quiet area is very convenient. Excellent hotel.

The Diocleziano is closer to the train station than I usually prefer to stay, but the Via Gaeta has almost no traffic and backs up on the back of the Baths of Diocletian. A short walk to the Republica metro stop is very convenient. The hotel itself is immaculate with a good breakfast buffet and a very welcoming and informative front desk. Decor in the rooms is simple and the bathroom was a good size.

Excellent hotel 5 minutes walk from Rome Termini Station so easy access to trains (incl Fiumicino Airport), metro and buses. We used metro every day to travel around Rome and close proximity of hotel to the underground was welcome. No evening meals served but substantial hot and cold breakfast available. English speaking staff very friendly and always helpful. We stayed in a Superior Double Room which was rather nice - free cold soft drinks in mini bar replenished every day. Rome temperature reached 36C during our visit in July so air conditioned bedroom lowered the temp to enable us to sleep better at night.

First, location is good. If I get down from Pullman from an airport and I walk as long as 5 minutes, it will arrive at a hotel. A railroad, a subway, and a bus which can be used immediately. Although, as for both the sides, the hotel name was greatly hung up in the middle of the inside where a three-affair hotel was merely located in a line, since this hotel was not conspicuous, it was hard to find it at first just for a moment. Although some rooms are narrow, it is enough to stay by two adults, and it also good to attach the calm Jacuzzi. Since a refrigerator is supplemented with water and juice every day for nothing, this is also delightful service. All the staff is friendly, and often speaks to us. The reply to an inquiry of the mail before a travel was also early. Pleasant stay was completed. I would like to use this hotel next time also.

Great hotel-we were impressed by the cleanliness. Air conditioner works very poorly, however, and we discussed it with front desk staff-still worked poorly and were told "it is a continual problem" by one of the staff. Front desk not too well informed about surrounding sights i.e. shopping areas etc. Business center was awesome plenty of computers and new small gym looked good. Close to several good restaurants and easy to get around. Pretty great hotel-would recommend it easily!

Excellent small hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff. Free drinks (water & sodas) supplied in the room fridge. Good breakfast buffet. Elevator was a few steps up from the ground floor, but help was on hand to carry luggage. Definitely a hotel I would stay at again, and would recommend to others. Great location near train station and bus depot, yet on a quiet street. Lots of restaurants nearby, including the wonderful 'Trimani' wine bar (with adjacent liquor store). The CONAD Supermarket is about 1 block away, with its exit on Via Gaeta.

The nicest of the three Italian hotels we stayed in (Rome, Florence, Venice). The breakfast selection included hot foods, pastries, fresh orange juice, and cappucino! The shower was large (for Europe) and the spray was strong with the water hot immediately.

We only stayed for one night as we were passing through Rome but we were delighted with this hotel. Preliminary enquiries prior to booking were quickly and helpfully dealt with, and we were courteously received on arrival. The hotel knew this was a special trip to celebrate our ruby wedding, and conspired with our daughter to arrange a bottle of prosecco in our room - and of their own accord upgraded us to the best room in the house. This was spacious, with good-sized bed and a terrace overlooking the Baths of Diocletian. We arrived by train and with rucksacks, and the location is great, within easy walking distance of the station. Many of Rome's classical sites are within easy reach on foot. In the morning, we were very impressed by the extensive breakfast (by far the best we found in a month in Italy) and by the service and surroundings. This was a lovely place to stay.

We stayed in the VIP Junior Suite, whose views and patio were well worth the extra money, but would have been less attractive in poor weather. All the hotel's facilities were of good quality, very clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptional in their attention to detail and their willingness to help at all times and in all ways. The hotel is small enough not to feel impersonal, whilst running the full range of facilities you would expect from a larger hotel. We would have no hesitation in recommending other people to stay there.

Great location, near train station, but on a quiet street. Area is not as ideal as others, but our room faced the back of hotel which overlooked church yard and garden. This is our 3rd trip to Rome and the most quiet place we have stayed. The rooms are contemporary in furnishings, beds are hard, bathrooms are large compared to most in Rome. Nice breakfast area with lots of choices. No problem walking to most sites, a bit far for the Vatican. Buses a block away.

Nice, cozy hotel at the most convenient location! The stuff is friendly and helpful. The room was somewhat small for three people, but the third bed was wide and comfortable rather than the improvised folding type. Soft drinks from the minibar are free(!) as well as the fresh orange juice and espresso / cappuccino at breakfast. It's the best place for people who are looking for a small, clean, quiet hotel at the most accessible point at the city center.

Good clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff, good service and very good breakfast. Although being a resonably small hotel it had all the facilities as one would expect of a four star hotel. At first we had booked Regent Hotel with web site 1800 it had such bad reviews and we promptly cancelled it at a cost of over £100 to book Hotel Diocleziano and we were not dissapointed. Very good location from the point of view of transport, restaurants one could get anywhere easily to see places of interest in a matter of moments. I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Diocleziano and would not hesitate recommending it to my friends.

One problem only: Internet connection is not free, and rather expensive (8 euros for 24 hours) which is not pleasant at all. Besides that, splendid hotel. Early morning staff was not the best in communicating but nothing that couldn't be fixed quickly. All in all, a great if a bit expensive place to stay in Rome.

Very clean and quiet hostel located near the station Termini. Breakfast should be improved for quality and choice. Area around the station is not very pleasant. Excellent service at the front desk, ideal location for walking to all key attractions (approx 20 - 30 mins to most), with a good selection at the breakfast buffet. The only downside was the lack of a shower room to use prior to a late flight. Other than that I would recommend and stay in thsi hotel on future visits.

Excellent, spotless hotel, friendly and helpful staff. I would happily recommend it to anyone and go back there as soon as possible. Only negative thought was that the Superior room was a bit smaller than I expected and there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel was extremely clean. Eventhough, they encourage you not to change towels everyday, they still keep on changing it. The only complaint we had was that once you flush the toilet, the water does not fill in the tank fast; therefore, one cannot flush right after one has done so. We enjoyed the location as it is walking distance to Termini Station where one can access the buses and Metro. Also, the hotel is not in a busy street thereby reducing the noise. Breakfast was always fresh and has variety. The staff are always helpful. We highly recommend Hotel Diocleziano to travellers. We would certainly stay there again. We very much enjoyed our stay. Excellent value. Excellent breakfast and breakfast room. Highly professional staff. They knew just who to call for tour arrangements - good service. About an 8 minute walk to Termini. Very quiet - almost a cul-de-sac, so no traffic noise. Minor note (to venere?) - check the directions from Termini. We found it to the left down via Marsala Termini from the Termini exit; the venere web site says to the right. Also, via Marsala becomes via Volturno - no turns, just changes names. The map on the web site is fine.
