The interaction with hotel staff was variable. Housekeeping and restaurant staff exhibited high levels of customer service skills with warm, friendly and engaging attitudes. Front desk staff were polite but didn't go the extra mile. We stayed at this hotel three years ago and the changes are minimal. Some reviews have mentioned dirty carpets in rooms but ours was excellent on this trip and the hotel appeared to have taken stock of the previous comments. The main disappointment was with the carpets in public areas such as the lobby and stairways. These should have been replaced long ago. I have to say that the location of this hotel is quiet and we actually enjoyed the routine of walking 5 minutes to the metro station and being in the heart of Rome within 20 minutes. Rome's public transport system is really very good. Next time we visit Italy I would probably choose a different hotel or even city but the Hotel Delle Province is still good value for money, especially if they were to make those relatively minor changes to develop the overall customer experience.

A great place to stay in a good location. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, and staff were most accomodating. The breakfast (and the venue) were simply outstanding! Highly recommended by all 10 in our group - we would stay here again.

This is a good but not a four star hotel. The best places are the lobby and the beakfest room. The room itself and the bathroom need some refreshment work.

Cleanliness of public areas of the hotel not good. Cyclette in the room not operating. General quality of the hotel appears lower than expected, considering 4 stars category

The Hotel is in need of some renovation with some areas looking rather tired and 'old'. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great. Location for tourists could be considered a little too far out from the centre although public transport is good. In general, not a bad hotel considering price, qulaity and location - expecially for Rome.

Any doubt on the quality of this hotel. All depend of what you're looking for in term of location. You're quite near the trainstation Tiburtina but in a safe area (very near the University). The restaurant and facilities are in line with what you can be interested. If I'm forced to criticize something is only on the cup for espresso (too big for a real espresso)...nothing more

I had some doubts about the location but it is situated between 2 stations with easy access to all major attractions. Nice reasonably priced restaurants are also close by. The breakfast provided was very good with a large choice available.

Exceed my standard. The price quality was excellent, but not only because the low price but also because the high quality. We stayed at a room close to the lobby, very bllicious, but the personal told us about that. The first day the elevator was out of service but only the morning. Excellent choice

Obviously was a nice 4 star hotel when new but unfortunatly is now old and this shows!! The rooms are abit shabby so if paying full price you would be disappointed. However staff very helpful and friendly and good links to Rome sights.

I'm not completely sure the 4 stars are correct, today it's strange to miss a free web connection and to find such a small room (even if it was enough for a single business traveller like me, the room had a double bed for 2 person) in a 4 stars hotel.

Outstanding service from all personnel, which was especially welcome when I suffered an injury and needed a hospital. Staff took care of everything in an expedient manner. Breakfast was amazing, extensive and with the freshest croissants I have ever eaten. Rooms fronting the main street are a little noisy when windows are open, but everything else was outstanding.

Not in central Rome, but just a 10 min walk to an efficient metro system. Easy ride to central Rome. Surrounding restaurants are of very good quality at much better prices than in central Rome. Hotel was clean, room size adequate, very nice upgraded bathrooms. We had a room on the street side, but it was quiet enough to sleep well. Hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, but we had our own wine on a quite public hotel patio in the rear. Desk staff was helpful, friendly and spoke English. Complimentary breakfasts were well stocked with plenty of options and all food was fresh. We experienced nothing to warn other travelers away from this hotel.

This is a well located hotel - about 10 minutes walk from the Metro. But a word of advice - if you come in via metro from Termini get off at Bologna metro and you will find it an easy and well-signed walk to the hotel through nice streets. If you go via the larger Tiburtina metro (as Venere suggest, and which we did) you will have a long and confusing walk through some rather down-market areas along large un-signposted roads and railway sidings - not advisable at night! Overall we found this a comfortable and pleasant hotel with no major drawbacks and friendly staff. If you buy one of the good-value 3 day 'tourist' metrobus tickets (€11)you can hop on and off any number of metros, buses and trams and from the hotel door the centre of Rome is then only about half an hour away. This isn't the cheapest hotel we have ever stayed in considering the facilities or services (rather meagre breakfast and no room service) but Rome is usually expensive for accommodation and food, so it's probably no worse than the average in that respect.

The room is nice. We were on the 5th floor and have a small balcony so the view is good. But the noise from traffic is also loud. The breakfast is wonderful with many choices. The only problem is that there is no extra power socket for me to recharge all my electronic camera, video camera & cellular phone. I have to pull out the table lamp. The other thing is that it is almost one kilometer to the nearest subway station.

The Delle Province offers great value for money. The staff were helpful and professional, the room--although small--was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast in the sixth-floor winter garden was excellent. Others have pointed out something that's not really a drawback: The hotel is not located near much on a tourist's itinerary and you must walk ten minutes to the nearest Metro station (or less to several bus routes) if you want to see the sights. But, you're in a real Roman neighborhood, which can be refreshing after a typical sightseeing day. We found an excellent restaurant specializing in seafood right down the street, and I'm sure there are others if you care to explore a bit. We'd definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Rome.

Nice hotel, actually looking a bit... modest from the outside. The area is central, near the main university of Rome, and it's not difficult to visit the city using public services. Parking a car on the roads near the hotel may be difficult. The service offered is good, and the price/quality for our stay was great. We would recommend the hotel to anybody that need a place in central Rome but is not willing to pay the prices of the hotels near via Condotti and Piazza di Spagna and doesn't travel by car (the hotel is also reasonably close to Termini and Tiburtina stations).

The Hotel itself is nice, though I wouldn't give 4 stars to it. They are nice people but we also had some problems: our room must have been close to some staff facilities because we heard them talking during the night (connection through the air cond. system?). 2 out of 4 days they didn't fill up the bathroom with shower gel, shampoo, etc. which was annoying.

We arrived by train from the airport to the Tiburtina station. At the airport we were adviced what train and bus to use. But not wich stop to get off.

Good quiet location. Small room for the money. The reception staff were unhelpful almost to the point of rudeness. I asked for instructions for using the internet connection and got a curt unhelpful reply. When I went back to get further instructions, the receptionist managed to stay on the phone until I gave up. The next day we got similar treatment from another receptionist when we tried to retrieve our luggage from storage. I'm sure there are much better places to stay for the money we paid.

The Hotel room was good for the price, but the location is a bit out of the way. The walk from the subway with luggage is a little rough (many curbs/sidewalks). It's about a 5 minute walk south of the subway entrance. The area seems to be safe, no beggars. Would use again.
