Excellent position - good breakfast (which will be much better once they open the rooftop breakfast room - very soon), very helpful staff. Just one thing to note - if you are there on May day (May 1st) you will not be able to get out of the hotel for the crowds. Still that added to the wonderful atmosphere of Rome. Lovely hotel - highly recommended.

Central location in Rome is expensive. This hotel has an excellent location. A few hundred meters from both the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. Pantheon is also a short walk away. Shopping : All you will ever need, hotel is located on the main shopping street Via del Corso. Just across the street from the Nike shop. Breakfast area was small. It is recommended to be there early in order to get a table. Bed was narrow, approx 1.40m wide. We had a small terrace outside our room opposite the roof garden which was very nice

Hotel was in a great location. Breakfast and coffee was always really good. We used the hotel provided maps to get around the city. Hotel was a 30 minute to the Vatican, 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. Hotel was easy to find from the airport using the train and metro. Front desk was always helpful. We had to keep remembering to turn in the room key each time we left the hotel as required. Getting used to the handheld shower wand was a challenge though. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel Del Corso was the best hotel I stayed in Italy as far as the Location goes. 5 minutes from the Spanish steps and the terminal. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great considering Italians just drink espresso coffee on their feet and go on with the day. The breakfast area is a bit small but very cute and inviting. The room was a good size with the view to the main street which I loved. I strongly recommend the hotel especially if it’s your first time in Rome. Loved it all.

The hotel is mediocre, as most hotels in Rome. The breakfast should be almost begged and be happy to have something left. The room was bad ventilated, with a window towards a corridor. But... but... I payed 80 euros and was way better from another hotel of 150 euros (Capitolium) at which I was before. The best service for the money. The location is optimun and the surroundings are excellent. I fully recommend it.

The Hotel is well situated and the employees are very friendly and helpful, but: THE FLOOR CARPET IN THE ROOM WAS DISGUSTING. GUESS IT WAS NEVER CLEANT. TOUCH IT WITH THE HAND, YOUR FINGERS ARE BLACK! Our room was very noisy: The air-condition inside the room did not cool, but just produced a lot of noise (day and night). The ventilation engine in the yard outside is also terribly noisy, even by closed window. Note also that the breakfast terrace is not attractive: Table dishes never got changed during the whole week. Breakfast space seems to be not cared at all.

Warm welcome and services, but a big problem the fisrt night, we had an incredibly tiny room, for more than 100 euros a night that was a scandal, and no question of a smaller price, the same at the end of the stay, the last night I left and there was only my boyfriend, one person instead of two: they tolds that nothing was possible from the hotel to do in terms of price. Too bad from a good location.

The location is excellent. Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating (especially Spiros, the concierge). The wi-fi internet access was reasonably priced and we did not encounter any problems with it. It was also great that the breakfast was included. A couple of negative comments though, the television set was really small and old, and, the water for bathing did not really get hot; it was just warm. But our general experience is positive. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel del Corso has one important point in its favour: its location. Yet, it has one major overall disadvantage: value. Their prices are disproportionately high for what they actually do offer. We booked what is supposed to be their best double room category, at Euros 220/night. Walking around the same area, we found much better values, in equally well located hotels, offering better rooms, better public areas and overall better presentation, service, etc, at the same price level. This hotel is probably worth just a bit over half its current price. One final note: their breakfast is so poor that nothing is lost by skipping it altogether...

The quad was perfect for our family of four. The room was comfortable and quiet. The roof top terrace where breakfast is served is perfect and the service is attentive. All of the hotel staff was very helpful. Our teenagers felt very comfortable walking along Del Corso by themselves, and there were many reasonable restaurants in the area as well as a supermarket. While the hotel is not near major attractions other than the Spanish steps, (we did walk to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo de Fiori), it is on a very interesting pedestrian shopping street. We used the metro to get to the Vatican and Colosseum, and a city tour bus stop was near by. Hotel del Corso was perfect for the price and we would certainly go there again. (Wifi coming soon!)

The hotel was conveniently located in the Spanish Steps area which was a 10 minute walk from the Metro (Spanish Steps stop). Overall, good value and the Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating to provide us with adjoining rooms with our 2 daughters. Overall condition of the bathrooms (especially the shower) was poor and the beds were not terribly comfortable but room was clean and large enough especially by Rome standards.

Best place to stay to go SHOPPING. I went to the Spanish steps every morning and then onto other places, mornings are the best it is quiet and nobody around, especially not those people who try to cheat tourists money etc, and you never let people tie strings around your finger or wrist. They and their friends will come and harass you for money shamelessly (i heard it happen) and will just grab your bag in broad daylight (mug u) if you dont cooperate. It is actually safe, especially the hotel, it is in the main street, there are always people. The room is very quiet. There is a slight odour, I suppose it is from the damp, when you shower, water spills onto the floor - it cannot be helped, and you will tell, the door frame nearest the bath has rotted a huge hole because of the water, and there are water marks in the carpet area on the other side. Bed sheets are nice and clean. Room overall is nice, but because you are in Rome, you cannot enjoy it too much (going out all the time, and too tired to do anything but fall into bed when youre there)... Breakfast is continental - it is better than alot of other places I stayed in. it has good wireless which is not extra either.

I have my own small business and when I travel it is essential that I have access to a high-speed internet connection. The Del Corso lists internet as one of their amenities, but their access to the internet is through a phone line in the room. To use it, you need your own cable and dial-up internet provider. I had to go to an internet café (2 blocks away) to access the internet. It wasn't a big deal, but I thought I would mention it for travelers with similar needs. Despite this issue, we were very pleased with our stay. The room was charming, breakfast was very good and staff was helpful and friendly.

Been to Rome before and had stayed near Colosseum last time, so wanted to be near Vatican City this time but still be near center of rome. This hotel is perfect choice for this, as can walk to Vatican city in 10mins, while Piazza del Popolo and spanish steps are 1 min away! Staff are very polite and friendly. Even have Italian Sky digital to watch calcio if you dont make it to the stadium! Only downside is the other facilities - no bin other than in bathroom, tissues and shower gel etc was not replaced until completely empty. But overall its still very good hotel.

The hotel was in a nice location right on the Via Del Corso. Although there is a lot of traffic outside the doors on the window are very good so you could barely hear the noise outside. Rooms were clean but small. But you don't go to Rome to hang in your room, so it was fine. Breakfast was good too! Better than others in Italy. The female concierge was excellent, helpful at looking at tours etc. The male concierges are awful. The one that works in the day...i asked him to help me book a tour and he said to do it with the next guy on duty. The one at night was unfriendly. But overall this hotel is ok if you just want a hotel in a good location and you only go to sleep.

Rome is expensive and rooms are tiny; this hotel was reasonable for the great location, and the room was adequate for 2 adults & 2 kids although not spacious. Smoking in the teensy lobby was unpleasant, but we never 'used' the lobby for sitting anyway. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was nice in August. The server we had was a little sullen, but she brought cappucinos and kept the buffet reasonably stocked. Like other reviews, be prepared for European breakfast - yogurt, fruit (some canned), juice, cold cereal and milk, pastries (mediocre), sliced meats and cheeses, nutella (one of my girls became addicted to it!), butter & honey. The same fare every day.

We stayed at Hotel Del Corso for a total of five nights divided into four and then a week later one, prior to flying home. The hotel is brilliantly located with Rome's major attractions, and great food, within walking distance. The staff were friendly and very helpful, kindly storing our extra luggage while we were in other parts of Italy for a week and locating our teenage son's lost jeans. We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the roof garden each morning. The conservatorium of music is next door, and if you're lucky, you'll wake to the sound of high level piano practise. Hotel Del Corso caters for anyone looking for excellent value for money in comfortable accomodation in the heart of wonderful Roma.

We stayed at the Hotel Del Corso for part of our honeymoon. The hotel was in an excellent location and most of the staff were friendly and competent. We booked two separate stays at the hotel during our visit to Italy - 4 nights in a superior double room then one night in a suite at the end of our trip. The first stay was fine - the room was a good size and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet considering it looked out onto the Via Del Corso! However, the suite we were given for our last night was extremely disappointing. The room was more of a 'triple room' than a suite, with the only extra space being a corridor-come-spare-bed-area. The bathroom was shabby and there were a number of sections of wallpaper peeling off in the bedroom area. In the end, we requested a new room, and stayed in a similar room to our first visit which was fine.

We are an American family with two children, ages 10 and 14. We stayed at the Hotel del Corso from June 22nd through June 26th, 2006. We highly recommend this hotel. The roooms were not large, but sufficient for us. We had a king size bed and the kids slept on a sofa-bed that was adequate for them. The bathroom had a full size tub with a hand held shower. The hotel served a nice breakfast in the rooftop dining area: hard boiled eggs, ham, salami, cheese, bread, fruit juice, dried fruit, bread, pastries, and cappucino/coffee/tea. The rooftop was private and quiet, and we enjoyed our breakfast there as well as a late afternoon game of cards. The best thing about the del Corso is it's location: you are right in the heart of Rome. We walked everywhere from the hotel, and felt like we were central to many of Rome's most interesting attractions. The Coliseum and Forum were about a 20 minute walk straight out Via del Corso. The Vatican was about the same distance to the west. We could be at the Pantheon or Spanish Steps in under 5 minutes. The staff we're very nice and made good recommendations for dinner on nearby Via Vittorio. Rome was 90+ degrees while we were there and the hotel was a welcome cool, quiet retreat. The air conditioning was just enough, but weak by American standards. The rooms are not spacious or elaborate, but clean and comfortable. We would stay here again and believe we got good value for our 210 Euro price.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Del Corso. The room was very spacious which I was surprised at after all I had read, but perhaps we got lucky with one of the bigger rooms. The concierges were very helpful in booking restaurants which had been recommended to us and in trying to find us a taxi when our weary feet could not take anymore. The breakfast was not great, but fairly standard I imagine, and at least having it on the roof terrace was a lovley way to start the day. The price of the hotel seemed expensive but looks to be the going rate for a hotel in central Rome. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would return.

The Del Corso was a great place to stay in Roma, Located right on the Via Del Corso, convenient to shopping and everything. Our room was a little noisy, but we requested a room with a view of the street. If you're used to hearing the sounds of the city, it won't bother you at all. Rooms are availabel on the backside of the building and I understand they are very quiet. Overall, a great 3-star hotel, and an excellent location.

Easily a four starhotel for 3 star prices. Had a spacious quad room, worked great for kids. Great location in heart of shopping and within walking distance of Forum, Pantheon, Trevi, ect. Street gets real quiet at night. Best breakfast we found on entire trip.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Del Corso. The location in Via Del Corso was perfect for exploring the main sights by foot. The staff were so friendly that we chatted often and felt sorry to say arrivederci! Very high quality of furnishings in the room and double glazing kept the street noise to a minimum. Breakfasts offered yoghurt, fruit and fresh pastries with wonderful Cappuccino. One of the staff saw me carrying a violin and recommended going to Il Museo Nazionale degli Strumenti Musicali which was well worth a visit. They also booked us into La Galleria Borghese which was a feast of Renaissance art and architecture. We have previously stayed near the Colloseum and in Via Veneto, but we will definitely come back to stay in Hotel Del Corso again next time. We like the hustle and bustle of fashionable shoppers under the window with all the exclusive streets nearby such as Via Condotti. There is also excellent dining nearby with Il Margutta in Via Margutta, Brasserie della Buvette roman cusine in Via Vittoria and Gusto a modern delicious pizzeria in Pizza Augusto Imperatore. Our favourite moments were going to see La Traviata at La Chiesa All Saints in Via del Babuino and bringing in New Year with live jazz and a 9 course meal at the stylish Il Margutta gourmet vegetarian restaurant, both a stones throw from the hotel.

The Hotel del Corso is located in a very central part of the city. It was very easy to walk to the Forum/Colosseum, the Pantheon and Piazza Navonna, and the Vatican/St. Peter's Basilica. The room I had (102) faced the street which made it a little noisy. Also, the walls seem paper thin; either that or I had very rude neighbors who felt the need to share their conversations with me. Room 102 is also not ideal b/c it is just outside the breakfast, where, once again, people were very noisy early in the morning. The staff was only somewhat helpful with dining suggestions. I had a 5:15am wake up call one morning that was not for me-wasn't very happy about that one. Aside from the great location, near the sights and shopping, I'm not sure that I would stay here again.

We could not have asked for more with this Hotel. It was in a great location and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The staff spoke English and were great with directions, as well as, suggestions. The hotel is about 3 blocks from the Spanish Steps, and we were able to walk absolutely everywhere. Public transportation is conveniently located as well. The rooms were clean...most on the small side, but perfect for the limited time we spent in them. I would definitely stay here again.

An excellent value-for-money hotel within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions. Staff always courteous and ready to help when asked. Accommodation spacious enough for the weekend traveller, and always kept immaculately clean. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome.

We've just returned from a two-night stay at Hotel Del Corso. The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to shops, restaurants, and many of the main tourist attractions. Our room was a little small, as expected. We were very satisfied with this hotel (especially when taking into cosideration the low rate for such an ideal location).

Of all the hotels we (Mom and 21yr old daughter)stayed at this was our least favorite. Location was central and within walking distance to all the major sites. Employees were helpful, but the facilites were lagging. Our air conditioner didn't work well enough to keep it cool in the room and with 97 degrees outside, it never was comfortable. The shower was very small making it difficult to manuever in. Our safe box did not work so I felt a little uneasy that our important papers and passports would be safe.(I could have left them with the front desk, but who wants to leave credit card numbers etc... in someone else's hands.) Carpeting was a little dirty, but the bathroom and bedroom area were clean. Less variety on the continental breakfast than other hotels. I probably would look elsewhere to stay in Rome if I am there again.

Rooms were small but nicely redecorated. Breakfast area on the rooftop was really nice, at least in the summer - don't know what that would be like in the winter, though. Staff were great - very helpful, very proactive. Also, very centrally located; convenient to many great sites and restaurants. All in all, a good value.

We had a lovely week at this well located hotel. Very clean rooms and fairly spacious for 4 of us with a nice bathroom and good aircon. Hotel staff were extremely welcoming, approachable and helpful. Nice roof top terrace for breakfast which had everything you need to start your day. Hotel is on a busy pedestrian street with lots of shops, bars and places to eat within 2 mins walk. We looked on to the street and with windows closed you could not here anything. Location was a big plus less than 5 mins walk to Spanish steps. Almost every night we would walk to Pantheon stopping off on route for something to eat then on to Navonna returning via Trevi and Spanish Steps. Highly recommended.

A real gem! We stayed here for our engagement on 1st July and had a wodnerful time. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, they fell over themselves to assist us and offer advice and tips. The room was lovely and clean, roomy and overlooked the Via Del Corso but was in a pedestrianised area so heard very little noise, which is a bonus for Rome. The location was wonderful- two minutes from the PIazza Del Popolo, a five minute walk from the Spanish Steps and ten minutes from the Trevi Fountain. The breakfast was good too - another real bonus! I would definately stay here again and could not recommend it enough to anyone considering booking.

Great hotel, staff especially at reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We knew rooms in Rome were not big but this was fine. Location was fantastic - right in amongst the designer shops, just round the corner from the Spanish Steps and walking distance from all the big tourist sites. Would recommend staying here to friends and family.

The level of service was excellent and I cannot speak highly enough of the welcome afforded us by Cristian and Alessandro. Our room was modest in size by American standards but quite sufficient for our needs. We were surprised to find that our room looked right out on the Del Corso, a very busy shopping street in the very center of Rome. We were less than five minutes walk from the Spanish Steps, ten minutes from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, and about twenty minutes from the Colosseum and the Forum. We took the Metro to the Vatican but walked back in less than half an hour. Our room picked up quite a bit of street noise but we enjoyed every bit of it. Breakfast was modest and the common areas were cramped but this is a small hotel in a crowded part of town and we had to adjust our expectations. The desk clerk suggested a nearby restaurant and it turned out to be the worst and most overpriced meal of our trip, so buyer beware! For location and price, we would probably seriously consider staying here again on a future trip to Rome. And we will be back. Oh, yes, we will be back!

The hotel arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. The cab driver was very nice and took us around a tour of the city, for a flat rate! The hotel staff was wonderful as well. And the coffee at breakfast was the best coffee (and free too!!!) we ever had in Italy! Our room, facing Del Corso, was small but it suited our needs perfectly and the street noise (which wasn't much at all) just really reinforced the feeling that we were really in Italy. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We had superb service right from the start. The reception people were extremely helpful with directions, arranging taxis, following up with the taxi company and storing our bags between check out and leaving for the station. Our room was fabulous. We had the one right above the main entry to the hotel, which meant we had a balcony and could watch Rome promenade up and down via Corso. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others and will stay there when next in Rome.

The hotel Del Corso is a hotel kind of hidden in the center of the street. If you locate it by the address you'll have no problem finding the building. The numbers are in clearly marked on the face of the buildings. The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff arranged the taxi service for us the day of our departure to the airport. The price was fixed, which we knew ahead of time, and the taxi was an unmarked car. More of a luxury car. We left at 7:30 in the morning on a Saturday, and it only took us 28 minutes to arrive at the airport. The location of the hotel was great for me, but it is in the heart of the city, on the busiest shopping street in Rome. While we were there, most of the street was closed off, because of the pedestrian traffic. Cars were coming up the street occasionally, but it's not a street people prefer to drive on, because of all the people walking around. If you don't like crowds, this may not be the street you'll want to make hotel reservations. However, there was a three day Roman holiday while we were there, so the streets were extremely crowded, until after the holiday was over. Plus, most of the shops don't open until after 9:00 A.M. So, if you are sight seeing and out of your hotel by then, it is not crowded. Also, most of the shops close around 7:30 P.M., so the street is very quiet at night, while you are sleeping. There is a movie theatre down the street on the same side as the hotel. I believe it shows four different movies. They offer movies in Italian and in English. I loved the experience and the convenience of the location. It's in walking distance of all the main attractions. The Vatican is only a 20 minute walk, or you can catch the Metro, which is only about 5 minutes away. If you are taking the train to Rome and then catching a taxi to the hotel, beware....the taxi driver may tell you that there are transportation strikes in the city so th

our stay at the hotel del corso was pleasent. it is very well located in the center of everything. very close to the spanish steps and to the metro. we got a small room but we also had a nice teraace. although the hotel is located on the busy via del corso, it was very quiet at night. the air condition is central and during our stay they did not operate it (september) and it was o.k. the only problem was that our safe did not work, they promised to fix it but did not do anything for five days (maybe it is the italian way), but instead they let us use the central safe in the reception, which was fine. the breakfast is reach and during our stay we ate on the roof terrace which was great. overall it is a very pleasent hotel. i would stay there again.
