Travelled to Rome for three day week-end break with my husband. We arrived late at the hotel and having been overcharged for a short taxi ride from Termini Station we were very pleasently greeted by a very friendly receptionist(Daniela) and an equally friendly porter. They put us back on the right track and thanks to them our stay in rome was brillant!!We sought Daniela's advice from there on and we were never dissapointed.

Staff is not very friendly but efficient, location is not bad, walk to the city is scenic. Room is very nice but pricey. But then again, everything in Rome tends to be.

Taking more care of some details and travellers could have formed a better opinion of this hotel. Absurd , for example, not to allow the use of the private handy hone of clients

Although the staff are wonderful and it is quiet, this hotel is a bit "spartan" for its 4-star rating. If the weather forces you to stay indoors you will not be comfortable, even in a de-luxe room. Ours had only one chair, no cushions or spare pillows, noisy air-conditioning and a shower in a narrow bath that was difficult to climb into. The location is awkward in rain - long walk to nearest metro stations, so you'll have to learn to use the buses or call taxis. For the price they charge over new year you'd be more comfortable in the city centre.

We did enjoy a lot, Hotel very well located to reach most important monuments by walking. Very friendly people. The weakest service was breakfast in terms of variety. Would recommend without any doubt.

Good value for money. Great quiet location but still within walking distance to most of Rome's attractions. Very clean and organised. Would stay again.

Junior suite room was very good, real bargain. Single rrom was quite small and just slightly cheaper than the suite. Air conditioning was not working at that time of the year (March), so it was very hot in the room.

The staff of this hotel were the nicest staff I have met in all the hotels that I have stayed in .And the location of the hotel was great. It is about 15 min walk to Vatican and about 20 min walk to spanish steps . I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting rome.

We were very happy with every aspect of the hotel as one would expect for the price we paid. For a short stay it was ideal. Our room had limited daylight due to facing an internal courtyard. The room was large, which is unusual in Rome and very well equipped. The hotel had a lovely roof top terrace which if we had more time would have been a great place to relax. The location was good, the hotel is in a quiet area but near enough to walk to all the attractions. If it is too far for some people the taxis were good and reasonable. The hotel staff were happy to order them. I would happily recommend this hotel in every respect. We booked a coach from the airport through Easyjet. Don't bother! We had to wait around at the airport, load our cases onto the coach, and were then dropped off at the train station which then meant a taxi ride into Rome. This took in all nearly 2 hours! For 30 euros you can get a taxi into the middle of Rome in 45 minutes.

A very impressive 4 star hotel in a very good location. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff are very efficient though not particularly friendly at the front desk. The breakfast was of the highest standard. The location is excellent and both the vatican and the spanish steps are only a 15 minute walk. There is a large number of good restaurants in the area, the best of which is "Vito's". Overall highly recommended

The location was perfect, the service wonderful and the breakfast more than expected. The staff were great even having a bagged breakfast ready for us to take at 4:00 am when we had to leave to get to the airport!!

Before our departure, bell staff loaded our luggage into someone else's cab going to the airport while we were leaving by train. Fortunately they were able to recall the taxi and we got our bags back in time. A mistake that should never happen.

An excellent place to sightsee Rome, short distance to main places such as Coliseum, palaces and churches , Vatican etc. Also easy to leave Rome for airport. We stayed only one night in Rome but had a lot of time to see many places. Quiet hotel, friendly hotel staff...:) We will keep this hotel in our short list when travelling next time to Rome. We were in Rome with my extended family (wife + 1 kid + young adult + mother in law) and stayed in two rooms. We were in the hotel for 4 nights between Christnmas and New Year Eve. There was no thing that we could say was below average. We quite liked the neighbourhood, although not very touristic. But if one likes sleep in quiet, that's the place. I've seen some comments of others about breakfast, I do not agree with those who said it was poor - we found everything what gives energy for the day - cereals, yoghurt, fruit, ham and cheese etc. We like the interior, and also friendly staff. Our 4 year old son enjoyed warm attention from the barmaid and would like to say gracie for the piece choclate.

It was a lovely hotel that had an intimate feel about it. The staff were friendly and competent. The layout of the hotel rooms gave it a homely feel. It was a lovely treat for my mother who was able to visit the vatican for the first time to celebrate her 80th year. The only dissapointment was we could not find a good restaurant locally. Unfortunately the ones we visited were pretty bad for Italian standards. Perhaps we should have asked the staff?

I was a little nervous as we pulled up to the hotel about the area and remoteness but upon arrival that hesitancy all dissipated. The staff was wonderful, the hotel was so centrally located, we could walk everywhere and the small bar was so pleasant to begin or end our evening. The carpets were a bit dusty but otherwise a wonderful hotel!! It was so quiet at night and we got a great night sleep every night!! I would definitely return to Dei Mellini, and look forward to that return!

Great location. Value for money was excellent. Staff very polite and warm however the restaurant they recommended and reserved for us was nowhere to be found, and on arrival they gave us a number to call a cab (I asked) when our plane was several hours delayed and then only later we figured out there was a cab strike, so we had to walk from Termini. Luckily it's not too far. Breakfast staff for some reason seemed much more interested in serving large italian or latino families than blond couples like us, so we had to flag them down every time, but once they got to us they were, like all the staff, also very warm and friendly. The room was wonderful, and we were very, very happy with our stay. We will definitely stay again.

The hotel is quiet and very pretty. The rooms are tastefully done. The bathroom was beautiful but had a bathtub that was too curved to stand in and too small to properly use as a bathtub. Also, computer access needed the purchase of a card, which seems needlessly complicated.
