The hotel was nice, but very far from the center & very unconvenient. I would not rate it as a 4 star hotel. Definitely not ! Personnel was OK at first, except that the last day, the receptionnist told us that there was a bus & subway strike, so he called a taxi for us. The taxi was overpriced, and we found out afterwards that it was NOT TRUE: buses and subways were running normally, except for one line !!! So we were very disappointed in the end that we were lied to. The breakfast was not very good (mothing different from a 2 star hotel).

That is very good holtel with perfect hospitable staff. It is located in quiet respectable place. But the holtel is quite far from the center of Rome, and just two buses can be used from the center to. Though if you traveling by car it is ideal choice.

Located in a very nice neighbourhood, however it´s hard to move toward downtown or other interesting places, the Metro station was out of order. Elevator and shower area very small. However the hotel is very nice, very well attended, good breakfast and in general very commendable for short stances in Rome

The hotel is in the best residetial area of Rome. To arrive in the city center the better way is to use the bus: there are two station quite near the hotel. Near the hotel there are some embassy, with policeman standing even during the night, and the road have a lot of light, so it's not a problem even if you want to come back in the hotel at very late night.

This was, by far, the most spacious hotel we stayed in while in Italy. Best hotel of our vacation

I liked the location as I was in a more residential area. I walked to many wonderful areas and the tour company that I used picked me up right in front of the hotel. It was a very safe neighborhood and not as noisy as a hotel located downtown.

The hotel is in a great neigborhood with shopping, restaurants, and banking within walking distance. The bi-lingual staff was superb. The terrace adjacent to the suite was nice, and at a warmer time of year would heve been really special. A few minor quirks with respect to housekeeping and the basement spa were the only minor glitches. I will stay there again.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo in zona tranquilla e silenziosa.

I've been to Rome many times, but this was my first stay at Degli Aranci. I found it to be a pleasant hotel, slightly away from the busier center of town. Everyone spoke perfect English. Getting around by taxi was very convenient. WiFi only available in ground floor common areas. Parking was available on the grounds.

I have stayed in Rome many times and become tired of the indifferent service and arrogance of (expensive) hotels in the "centro storico", so I decided this time to go for this one a bit away (but not too far) from the centre. My wife and I were very happy with the hotel. It is an easy bus ride to the centre, there is an excellent local restaurant nearby. The only negative is the hotel restaurant, we decided to have dinner there as we were too tired to walk to the local restaurant. We were served food clearly left over from the night before. If the hotel is not serious about having a restaurant it would be better to close it. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Rome (but not eat dinner at the hotel restaurant).

I stayed at Degli Aranci for 4 days, having chosen it over other hotels in Rome because of positive reviews about the hospitable and helpful staff - rather uncommon for Europe hotels in the mid to upper tier. The rooms were very nice and clean and the hotel is located in an upscale residential neighbourhood. I'd like to mention two of their staff, Livio (Russell Crowe lookalike) who even fixed us a sandwich at 1am, and Lorenzo (Robert de Niro twin!), who fixed us great drinks. They always kept a very professional manner while being warm. Other hotel guests during our stay were European couples, business travelers, the AC Siena football team and a famous Argentinian rugby player. The good mix of people tells a lot about the quality of the hotel. I definitely recommend Degli Aranci..its staff is its biggest asset.

Beutiful surroundings, just down the road from the Columbian, Suadi Arabian and Monaco Ambassador's Rome Home! Leafy, lovely walk into Rome via the Borghese Park entering Rome through the Piazza Del Popolo gives the best entrance to Rome down the Via Del Corso. The Hotle is about 2 Kilometers out from the Piazza Del Popolo, it may seem a long way but to discover Rome properly the best way to do this is on foot, We wouldn't have found half the things we did if we had been in a cab etc. The hotel is in a beutiful area that remains quiet throughut, with helpful staff and more than satisfactory facilities. I would wholly recommend this hotel, we paid 630 Euro's for a double room for 7 nights including Breakfast, which proved to be fantastic value for money, the breakfasts were brilliant!

Hotel was located in a very safe, nice area yet it is a 10 euro cab ride away from all of the major attractions in Rome and Termini station. Breakfast was less than average, but the pleasant and attentive staff made up for that.

We are a family of 4 who stayed one night. We had a beautiful suite with a huge, gorgeous bathroom and a private patio. Great value and a lovely neighbourhood near Villa Borghese. The public areas of the hotel were less attractive than the rooms. Also, do not eat in the hotel restaurant. The food was very mediocre and very overpriced with service to match.

Wer dann noch was will, hat Pech gehabt.

It is quite a good hotel. I am quite satisfied by the overall service offered. I was impressed by the presence of a spa, which is not common at all in Italy at their current room price. I wasn't able to use it due to time constraints, but I surely plan to do it if I go there in the future.

Bed was tiny. Room was tiny. Big bathroom though. Staff fine. Location in very upscale neighborhood, in fact, with a fantastic restaurnat nearby, La Scala. A bit of a distance from city center, but fine for price and value of hotel. I would recommend it and stay again. NOTE: I paid for an extra breakfast (continental buffet) for my daughter living in apartment and studying in Rome, 25 Euro!!!!! Way too expensive!!!!! Worth no more than 10 Euro, and that's a stretch.

The hotel was just as expected. The room was extremely small, but that's because it was a single. Larger accommodations appeared to have a veranda as well as larger rooms. The location was great--in a mixed upscale residential area with some embassies, etc. around (the Swedish embassy was about 3 doors down). Very convenient for getting to town on Mon-Sat. Just a short walk down a hill to the bus stop. The neighborhood was great for finding places to dine. Also, the first Italian International Film festival was in town when I was visiting, so an unexpected bonus was being able to walk to the Auditorium in the evening where most of the films were being shown. True to it's name, the hotel even had an orange tree in the front courtyard. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

We had a fine time staying in this hotel. It's a bit far from the city center, in a kind of residential area, so that might be an issue. We took a bus about 15 minutes to the Termini station and then went touring from there. There's a shopping district nearby though for groceries or restaurant needs. the hotel was clean and comfortable and pretty and it's location made it quiet and peaceful at night. Good breakfast but the hotel restaurant meals are only average and too expensive. Seems to cater to business type folks during the week

Excellent hotel in quiet part of town. Easy access to central Rome via public transport or taxis. Very helpful staff. Stanze curate (avevo persino l'idromassaggio).

enjoyed our stay very much, the hotel structure itself was beautiful, clean and comfortable. near many embassies in this northern suburb, some good restaurants around the corner, which we found interesting. only difficulty with this hotel might be that it is really out of the way from most tourist attractions, so consider its location when planning.

This location is a good value and a decent place to stay. The staff is excellent -- very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful. Our room, a suite, was clean and spacious with a large terrace from which to enjoy the view and fresh air - perfect for our family of four. Nice hotel in quiet area, extremely friendly staff and well-furnished rooms (though rather small). But public transport to and from Stazione Termini is quite poor... one afternoon I waited 45 minutes and no bus apperead. The first room I was assigned was unbelievably noisy, for it was placed on the ground floor right beside the lounge. The following morning I asked for a quieter one and I was immediately given a beautiful silent room on the third floor. No grin faced my request at the reception desk, but a friendly understanding smile: absolutely great. I'll go back to this hotel if I need to travel to Rome again.

Very accomodating hotel. They helped us store our car and we used busses and taxi's. Only about 2-3 miles from the great attractions in a residential neighborhood. About 150 yards from a little commercial area with a resturant and shops (but with a little hill to climb on the way back.) The bus tour groups picked us up and dropped us off. Rome was cleaner and the air quality better than we expected. The breakfast was good and the buffet at lunch and dinner offered a lot. Ordering from the menu was a nice meal also. Be careful of the shower, you can adjust the water by turning around. We would stay there again if we visit Rome again. Study your maps closely if driving in. MapQuest is just barely OK.

The room was lovely, very spacious with a huge balcony and very nice decor. We were very disappointed with the bar/restaurant facilities. They seemed to be understaffed because the bar was not staffed at all (I waited over 20 minutes to be served before eventually giving up) and the restuarant staff didn't seem too welcoming. Breakfast was poor for a hotel of this class. However, the price of the hotel was good for Rome and the hotel was close enough to walk into the centre or near enough to the local bus and tram services. Overall, I enjoyed my stay but I wouldn't say wow!

[ENGLISH] We had lost our faith finding a hotel in Rome before we found venere.com and this hotel. It has a great relationship between price/quality and great persons working there allways with a smile and helping you as you need. The only flaw is their coffee, but the rest is excellent.

Hotel located in a pleasant and quiet area, quite close to down-town. The room (suite) is quite OK and the ratio price/quality is good. Unfortunately, they were renovating the room beside and it was quite noisy (they started working before 8H00 AM!). The breaksfast when served in the room is poor, but if you take it in the restaurant, it is more "consistent". Concerning the restaurant, it closes around 22H00 and does not work on Sunday which, according to me, is not suitable for a 4-stars hotel. General organization needs improvement (I asked previously by email the hotel to arrange a transportation from the airport to the hotel... they confirmed my request, but the limousine never came and I had to take a taxi one hour and a half later!). In conclusion, apart these comments, I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay, especially if you travel with kids.

The hotel was a little further out of the centre than I had anticipated but the tram and bus network were good - it was a 10-15 minute walk to the stops. The hotel itself was very pleasant and the service provided by all the staff - particularly those in the restaurant was excellent. The food in the restaurant was wonderful - we also had the company of the Itlaian football team AC Siena who were playing Roma the next day! I had pre-booked a car from the airport and again for the return journey - this all went to plan. We had a wonderful time as Rome is such a fantastic city and I would definitely recommend the hotel as long as you are prepared to travel in to the main attractions.

As our flight was delayed for 3 hours we did not arrive at the hotel until 5am. However, the concierge was awaiting our arrival and could not have been more helpful. The quality of the hotel was excellent and we would certainly not hesitate in recommending the hotel to anyone.

Staying at Degli Aranci was a delight. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and beautifully made up - among the best we experienced in Italy. The staff were fantastic and the included breakfast was again one of the best in our trip. The hotel is located in quite an affluent residential area which is beautiful to stroll around, however is a fair way from the major sites of Rome so be prepared for some walking or short taxi trips (depends what your priority is). This hotel far, far outstripped the other hotel we stayed in in Rome which was located in the historical centre for the same price so if you value your interior surroundings is well worth the additional travel time (plus parking was included in the price - major bonus if you are travelling Italy by car).

The hotel is not centrally located as indicated, but this is not a problem if you have a car. The room was nicely decorated, the breakfast was included in the price. The only problem with this hotel is the privacy. The wall are so thin that you can hear the TV next room, which is a problem when you want to sleep and some old couple watch TV until 1am and wakes up at 6am...Called the reception who didn't do anything, so we left for another hotel...

Very nice hotel, and good value for the money. I traveled with my 16 year old son, and was provided twin beds, as requested and at the price quoted on Venere.com. The room also had a small balcony, fridge, and individual climate control/air conditioning. Not to mention killer electronic shades that had a black-out adjustment. The desk manager, Gabriella, is very helpful. She provided city maps, looked up transportation schedules, and was happy to suggest outings or sites to see when asked. Her assistance helped make our stay so enjoyable. The public areas of the hotel are tastefully decorated and spacious. Breakfast was always good. We were never around to try dinner at the hotel restaurant. There is an older computer w/internet connection for guests to use for free that always seemed available. The hotel is about 8 minutes from Termini Stazion. Catch bus 217, right by the 24 hour sidewalk florist stand. We bought a 7 day transportation pass although were were only there 5 days. This covered train, bus, tram and subway, for 16 euro, which I recommend. You also need to buy a schedule in a book form, from a newstand. This prevents spending valuable time in line buying tickets for the various transportation. Often, the newstands were closed and bus tickets were unavailable. With a schedule book, you can figure out how to get wherever you want to go and just go. Using our pass, we took the train to the beach on the Italian coast, and to the lovely town of Tivoli. If you're not from Europe, take power adaptors as they're not provided. Also, if you use them, take your own washcloth, creme rinse, and shower cap. Everything is more compact in Europe, and rooms are no exception. Ours was cozy and comfortable. You leave your key at the desk when you go out. This hotel is authentic Italy. I want to go back.

My lovely wife and My two daughters, ages 24 and 21, and I loved the Hotel Degli Aranci and it's very professional and friendly staff. The recently renovated rooms are far superior to the photos on the website, the breakfast delicious and plentiful, the public areas lovely and computer room and facilities first rate. We had a spectacular terrace with a view of the City on one side, the Tiber to the north and the Swiss embassy and gorgeous mountains to the east. It was so quiet, one evening we opened the windows to both bedrooms and the door to the terrace and slept soundly while breathing in cool, fresh night air. The staff were energetic, willing to please and very kind and accommodating, and the short trip to the Spanish steps by cab (7 Euros)or bus well worth the solitude and gracee of this beautiful hotel. At 150 Euros per night, we felt very fortunate to have found this gem in Parioli. We would stay here again in an instant!

This was a beautiful hotel in a quiet section of Rome. The staff was welcoming and quite helpful. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and had a great meal in garden area, followed by a full breakfast spread the next morning.

hotel Degli Aranci was a beautiful hotel! The staff was very nice and super helpful. They took care of us very well! The Hotel Chef was amazing- we had our last meal in Rome, at the hotel- it was the best meal we had in Rome! Here's the problem- The hotel is very far from all of the sights in Rome. You have to take a bus (or taxi- which is expensive) to the train station and from there you can get another bus or a subway. This is very inconvenient- and on one of the days we were there the buses and subways went on strike (which, from what i hear, is very common). The rooms and accomodations were excellent. For a four star hotel we got an excellent rate! Restaraunts were w/in walking distance- and it's definately away from all of the city noise and tourists! Basically, i would recommend this hotel for those who don't mind being a little away from the crowds- it's close to Belvedere Gardens- it's quiet and you are definately surrounded by the locals of Rome - not too much English is spoken but the everyone at the hotel helped us! I would rather stay in the city, closer to everything- it was so hot (mid July) i would've like to relax in the hotel between sights (without having to travel a great distance to get there). On the other hand, my spouse enjoyed being away from the crowds and enjoyed mixing in with the locals.

I recommend this hotel to all. The people were great, it is in a very nice area of Rome away from city central. Bus service is a few blocks away, and worth the stay to be out of city center. Nice restaurants about 3 blocks away, worth the walk. Close to Olympic Stadium. Cab from train station about 25 Euros. Should be a 4 star. Giovanni helped us get back to hotel from U2 concert when police blocked off the area from taxis, and the bus system was shut down (they quit running early). He got a taxi to exactly where we were back to hotel. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Breakfast good. Highly recommend. this is a quiet area, so don't stay here is you are looking to make alot of noise.

We are a family of four and stayed at Degli Aranci for seven nights. This is a very nice 4 star hotel, with excellent staff service. We booked two double rooms on Venere.com for 80 euros a night each, which is was an excellent value. We arrived early at the hotel, and within less than 30 minutes, they had 2 rooms ready, where we could sleep after a long international flight. The next day, they moved us to better adjoining rooms, which were fabulous, with spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is excellent, and we tried the restaurant for dinner once, which was great. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood, outside the city center, but easily accessible by taxi for 8-10 euros. From Fiumicino airport however, it was 80 euros. There are several adequate restaurants and places to eat, as well as a supermarket, within easy walking distance. The only close attraction by foot was Villa Borghese. Rome is a beautiful city, with plenty of sites, and we had a fabulous stay at Degli Aranci. The elevator is very small, and the parking area relatively limited (We rented a car the night before check out, and parked on the street). I would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay there again. (If you need 2 double rooms, request rooms 45 and 50). Thank you Venere.

The Degli Aranci staff were extremely helpful and hotel was much prettier than the pictures. The breakfast setting and the food were more than expected. It is located in a safe, quiet, upscale area and it is a very short walk to some wonderful, local restaurants. We felt like it was a wonderful place to relax after a busy day seeing the sites of Rome. The desk staff spoke fluent English and they were very, very helpful.

Posibilité de parking bien utile. A 10 min du tram pour le centre.

Excellent service. A bit out of the way from most sites but the staff gives tram and bus schedules. Taxis are cheap, so I would recommend grabbing a taxi to maximize your stay.

very clean rooms, very nice bed, great airco system. But very noisy in the morning (cleaning ladies making a real mess at 8 am,maybe to let people wake up an go away?).Also almost all the rooms had a balcony but mine, maybe because I booked on line?Ridiculous parking "space",fits no more than two cars and almost all the times I had to park my car outside the hotel because the parking was already full.decent breakfast, but you have to be fast:at 9:30 the food was already finish ,orrible waiter service, pratically useless (not even cleaning the tables, very careless of the guests in the breakfast room).Apart for these bad details the hotel itself is beautiful and located in a very nice area.

It was an excellent hotel for the price. We got the suite which was amazing. Very spacious, 4 star quality with a balcony and breathtaking view. The location was hard to find given the directions and not all that close to bus or metro stops (took a small walk to get to) but that meant it was also much more quiet. With Rome's transportation system ending at 9pm at the time, it became a problem to get back without hailing a taxi. The amentities and services at this hotel was top notch.

Very nice quiet hotel north of city centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Taxi to centre ~10euros depending on time of day. Also recommend walking through Borgese gardens to get to centre.

The strength of the hotel is in the very high quality of the room for the price point. Front dest staff were nice and helpful. The common areas are somewhat tired, the breakfast is lacking and the breakfast room staff virtually disinterested. Although the website speaks of walking to Villa Borghese, that is a challenge in hot weather. The hotel is about a 7 to 10 Euro cab ride from most tourist sites in Rome. While there are hotels located next to one site or another, you will find that they will inevitably be far from the rest of the sites. At about half the price of a two room suite elsewhere, this was a good deal and the distance was not a challenge. (BTW, I drove all over Rome against advice and had no trouble with driving or parking.) We had a 2 room family suite (315) that was quite large enough for a family of four. King size bed in one room, two pull out doubles in the living room. A very large terrace and nicely sized bathroom.

This is an absolutely beautiful renovated older hotel in an excellent area of Rome. It is surrounded by Embassys and there is no grafitti on the walls on the street leading to or around the hotel. Its reasonably close to the major sites in Rome, and a cab generally costs between 7 - 10 euros. The staff quickly calls a cab and your on your way. I have to say unequivocally, the staff is excellent and very accommodating. When we arrived our first room was very beautiful but very small. Because we were staying 7 days the clerk suggested moving us to a larger room the next day which was greatly appreciated. This room was equally beautiful and had a small private terrace we could use to unwind. The hotel is fully air conditioned which made it pleasant to come home to. We are used a hot American breakfast. The hotel offers a typical European breakfast of meat, cheese, breadstuffs, cereal without much variety so, for us, this was the only disappointment. Their restaurant though is excellent with a delightfully varied menu. We had 3 excellent dinners there and the chef is superb. There are also other excellent restaurants within walking distance that were fun to explore. The American Bar is small but the staff is fun and gracious. The sitting area near the bar is large and accommodating. We chose this hotel on very short notice and it was everything the site said it would be. Thank you venere.com for an accurate representation of the hotel.

We like being on a quiet street, among the embassies, away from the normal rush of Rome. Pretty good walk, bus or taxi to sites, but the service and amenities were outstanding. Lovely outdoor patio for meals. Excellent food, willing to make special requests.

This is a beautiful hotel located in a very nice neighborhood. The staff was very helpful with children and there were some very nice restaurants near by. It is not very near any of the attractions (you need a taxi to get to most places) but it is definitely worth staying there. We would do it again!
