Fantastic location, 100 meters from Pantheon, comfortable, spacious, clean room, we asked for quiet room and we got very quiet one. They provided baby cod free of charge. Pleasent employees. We had fantastic time.

Whatever you do, don't let them check you into the sixth floor. The noise from the music in the terrace bar and the staff using the adjoining service area and elevator will keep you awake all night. The affected rooms should not be used for accomodation at all, let alone at the very high full price. This is definitely a hotel geared towards business travellers and conferences, rather than private travellers (though requested wake-up calls were ignored, made late or made to the wrong room, the turn-down service was poor and we returned at 3:00 pm one day to find our rooms still not cleaned). The public areas are splendid, the terrace bar is charming (and open to non-residents) and the check-in and concerge staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for those wanting to view Renaissance Rome.

sorry, but just NOT worth € 430 per night(and no breakfast, wanted € 35 per person!). room nice, service mediocre for a "luxury 5 star", public areas run down, would be ok for a dated 3- or 4-star. prices for in-room dining just ridiculous: a minestrone for € 20,-, spaghetti for € 25, a ripoff ! But the location is perfect!

Breakfast for 30 € was overpriced, no choice of good bread ( dry and hard rolls, bread not easy cutting ), generally no good choice for this price. No airport shuttle for the price.

We were very pleased with everything about the Grand Hotel de la Minerve. And for tourists, the location of the hotel is perfect.

Hotel was wonderful. Wife and I had a spacious double with view out to the Belini Square (directly in front of hotel, the elephant-monolith Belini made is about 30 meters straight out from the hotel front door.) The location to Pantheon (45 seconds), Trevi Fountain (8 minutes), Spanish Steps (12 minutes), etc. made it very convenient. The hotel is a little pricy, but the staff and their attention is the reason why. The concierge got (at my request) 2 great tickes for the Aida opera (without too much of a markup over ticket price). Breakfast buffet was great, and all in all, very good value if you are seeking a high end hotel, without the snobbery that can occasionally come along with such a selection.

Great hotel, quiet, central and close to most places of interest. Be prepared to walk and you will take in everything.

This was our 4th stay at the Minerva. It is our favorite location, the lobby and staff are great. The concierge could be more friendly. The staff was familiar to us as they had been with the Minerva for years., The bar and restaurant on the rooftop is exquisite and we ended our nights there with views of ancient Rome and some excellent limoncello. Our only disappointment the the tiny rooms. We asked for larger rooms (for which you pay the SAME price but were refused). All rooms are not equal in Europe! :-) Our biggest disappointment was that the hotel would not correstpond with us directly as other hotels have done - after the reservation. However, they were kind enough to store our luggage while we took a 3 day trip to Perugia. I would still stay there again.

Your prices on your laundry service are too high. Everything else was excellent

The location was phenomenal, but the staff needs to learn what customer service means. For example, they have a travel desk, but when we asked about booking eurostar to Milan, they said go to a travel agent. In contrast, when we were in Florence at the Monna Lisa, they called a travel agent for us and for 5 euros had the travel agent bring the tickets to the hotel. Much better service in Florence. We could not figure out how to work the phone in the room - we are not stupid people and have traveled to Europe many times, and have used phones all over, but this time we could just not return a call. The front desk all but refused to help. Luckily, the tour guide called back (would highly recommend Roman Odyssey's private tours if you are looking for a luxury vacation. We never used the public rooms or the restaurant. The locations - literally steps from the Pantheon is wonderful. Very short walk to Piazza Navona. I fell in love with Rome, but I would look for another hotel for our next trip. Again, not terrible, just for the price we paid, more service would have made all the difference. Room was huge - location great - service poor.

The hotel was in the perfect location for us - within reasonable walking distance from most of the sites we wanted to visit and being so close to a major landmark like the Pantheon meant that it was easy to find our way back when we got lost!! Wonderful hotel, the only down side is the very pricey restaurant but there are lots of good restaurants nearby.

My only concern was with the restaurant. It is expensive for the quality of meals provided, in particular the buffet breakfast

The location of this hotel is fabulous. The service was very good. The room was lovely but a bit small, ditto for the marble bathroom - lovely but small. But I had just come from the Gritti Palace in Venice so was quite spoiled. :-)

Your staff were very helpful and friendly and our room, although on a somewhat busy street, was amazing! We loved our view of the Pantheon and the proximity to the Forum, river, Vatican, etc. Although I was/am 7 1/2 months pregnant, we were able to walk everywhere! We would love to come back to Rome again and stay longer-when we do we plan to stay at the Grand Hotel de la Minerve. Robert and Kathryn Carroll

We enjoyed our visit to your hotel in Rome, it is very central to all the places we like to visit. We have been several times to your lovely city but this time we felt we belonged there. We hope to return.

Staff and service was excellent - a real 'bend over backwards for the customer mentality, which was very good. Room was ok, however bed and pillows were not comfortable - for this star hotel I would have expected much nicer matress - and 'tv / extra bed room' was a nice idea but as we didn't need the bed and as a settee it was very uncomfortable. It also gave that room a lower star feeling - it actually felt quite 'grubby'.

Breakfast and room services prices are exuberant! The photos of the rooms on the website do not match with reality, although in itself the rooms are excellant. In general, a very nice hotel in an excellant location and very friendly staff!

This hotel is in an ideal location. The rooms are lovely and quiet, and the bathrooms are large by Italian standards.

Although the property is well positioned in Rome and very clean, a five star hotel without a swimming pool is hard to take. Prices for soft drinks at the Bar are outragious, and just two ice machines (one that doesn't work) is inexcusable.

A hotel of this caliber should have a swimming pool and CD DVD players avaiable along with better movie choices on their limited t.v. programming. The Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast room was way too hot to eat in every morning. They need fans or a/c to make it more comfortable. Especaially for the price that they charge. I feel it should be only a four star hotel.
