The hotel has good location , and warm and helpful staff. It is quiet and clean, and offers reasonable breakfast. The room is simple and clean , don't expect luxury, no internet service. In general - good value for the price.

The location was wonderful and the breakfast was above average. However, I found the hotel staff to be less than amicable and relatively unhelpful. I stayed in three different hotels during my trip, and this was the least impressive one. Aside from the great location, it doesn't offer much. Perhaps I would recommend this hotel to a young couple on a budget; the price is decent considering the proximity to various attractions.

The hotel was very centrally located - within walking distance of everything a tourist would want to see. The restaurant recommendations were fantastic as well. All concierge were helpful in pointing out points of interest on city maps and were very welcoming. Wonderful hotel.

Excellent hotel in a great location. We stayed in an apartment around the corner from the main hotel and found this to be a great option. Very good value for money with helpful and courtious staff; clean, modern, light and relatively spacious rooms. Would definately stay there again.

We were actually given an apartment for the same price as a "room" and it was just divine. Our host - I think it was Carlo was the nicest man and made us feel so welcome. Just loved this place and would recommend 100% and would definitely stay again.

Hotel Cortina I would recommend to everyone. The management and staff were so helpful right from the first contact to the last contact. They helped me arrange car pick ups from the airport and to the port for our cruise. They checked us in at the time we arrived and not later in the day - our room was ready in 10 minutes even at 10:30 in the morning. They couldn't do enough for us ... they were just so helpful and pleasant. We will definitely stay there again and again every time we return to Rome. We stayed one night at the beginning of our trip and one night at the end. Next time we will stay longer and we would highly recommend Hotel Cortina to everyone who is planning a trip to Roma! Speak with Angelo or Florian and they will help you with all your plans. They were just wonderful.

Hotel Cortina was lovely. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location was good. Three blocks from the Metro and walking distance (about 15-20 minutes) to most of the ancient sites. The individually controlled air conditioner was great, and the in-room mini bar had a little extra room to store some snacks. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. There is almost no lobby, so don't plan to hang out there. Also, there's no Internet access. But there is an Internet cafe around the corner, along with a grocery store.

My husband and I actually booked 2 double room originally but the hotel asked us to stay in one of their apartments on Via Napoli. We really loved the apartment. It was recently remodeld and the decor was very nice. The only complaint we have is the dish service for TV but it's not the hotel's fault. I can't thank Angelo and Florian enough for the superb service. You can't go wrong with Hotel Cortina.

During my holiday I have stayed at the hotel a couple of times, once in a single room and then in a triple room. Both times I found the rooms and service excellent. And of course the location is perfect for a visitor to Rome - close to the Colloseum, train station, restaurants. The English of the staff is excellent and they were very helpful with maps and suggestions of Rome sites.

This hotel was a great find. The staff were more than helpful in arrainging transfer from the airport to the hotel, directions, maps, taxis, bus and metro routes. The morning breakfast was well furnished with lots of variety of typical European breakfast foods; and the cappucino's were fresh, hot and tasty. The rooms are a bit small, but that is to be expected in Europe, but well furnished. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and well equipped with amenities and a hair dryer. Overall this is a excellent small hotel that served all of our needs while in Rome.

An outstanding introduction to the fascinating city of Rome. The facility is a perfect mix of old and modern, centrally located, offering a good sense of security for new travelers to Europe. Starched hand towels were too nice to use. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and accomodating. Based on reviews on-line,we didn't really know what to expect but the Cortina truly exceeded our highest expectations.

Hotel Cortina was a great hotel located near the Termini Station in Rome. It was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was small and bathroom was tiny, but we also returned for one night a week later and were given a much more spacious room on that occasion. Located on busy Via Nazionale, the traffic noise was a problem if you prefer to keep windows open. I would recommend the hotel for cleanliness and location and it was reasonably priced for Rome.

A little hotel halfway from railstation and the city center. Not easy to find out (there is only an indication on a white insigna just in front of the entrance that is the same of hotel martini (four stars). It's located in a civilian buildings so you have to check out the right bell on the wall. If you are looking for it search the litthe church with orange and white stones and a pub at the corner: the hotal is two steps away from it. Attention if you travel by car: parking fees are 29 € for a night. Ectepted these you will stay very well at a price difficult to find in Rome.

The staff of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful on arrival. The rooms were fantastically quiet compared to our other hotels all over Italy - the rooms don't face on to the busy via Nazionale. Bathrooms huge and modern. Not in an area of any character (main street), but very close to railway station and convenient for all sightseeing and shopping. One real negative was the tiny, tiny breakfast room and the worst breakfast we had in Italy!

An excellent and convenient place to stay. Relatively easy walking distance from the train station with wheeled luggage. Many of the heavy-hitter tourist sites are within walking distance (if you like to walk). Staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly, and arranged a car for the airport (worth it if you don't feel like trudging back to the terminal and out to Bin 28 for the express train to the airport). A little early-evening street noise from the Irish pub below, but really surprisingly quiet for being located on a major thoroughfare. Keep a sharp eye out for the sign - the entrance is unobtrusive, just a big door with a buzzer. If you want a big fancy entrance with a doorman and a room you could live in for a month, you're in the wrong price bracket. If you want a clean, comfortable, convenient, relaxing, friendly, no-hassle place to sleep and regroup between events, this is it.

What a small jewel! This was our first stay at Cortina and I will stay there again. The room was quite spacious, keeping in mind that you are in Rome. The room and bathroom were immaculate and cleaned daily. The bathroom was very nice and even had a small bathtub - heaven! The staff were extremely helpful and speak English fluently. They even reserved tickets for us at Galleria Borghese when we could not manage to do that from home and e mailed me the reference number! The Hotel has a shuttle service that is very convenient. We paid 50 Euro for 2 adults with lots of very heavy luggage. Although not located in the popular Piazza Navonna, Campo dei Fiori area,I like this location because the standard is higher for a low price. Being right on Via Nazionale, it is very convenient to catch buses to any area and Termini is a 5 minute walk. It is also about a 10 - 15 minute walk to Trevi. I have to mention that although it is on Via Nazionale, our room faced the beautiful small church of St Paul within the walls, and when the window was closed you would never imagine being so closed to this busy street. The aircon worked perfectly and we were given a remote control. Breakfast was very nice with a selection of bread and pastries, yoghurt and cold meat and cheese.

1st time in Rome and found the hotel easily, only a 10 minute walk from the main train station. It's on a very busy street, great for shopping and handy for sightseeing. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were clean with a comfortable bed, shower and bath and cleaned every day. Breakfast was quite basic (continental style) but there was always plenty. Would definitely use this hotel again.

This very nice little hotel is in an excellent location - right on Nationale street. It was a little hard to find because it is one of several hotels and businesses in a large bldg. and the only acknowledgement is its name on the intercom list at the door--you have to be buzzed in. It is small but nice. I can't say a lot about the facilities because we were only there 1 night and had to leave at 5:00 a.m. in the morning to catch our flight so we did not get to have the breakfast.

Although it didn't look like much from the outside, and the room was tiny, this was our favorite hotel of a two-week trip. The room had recently been redecorated and was immaculate. Not only did the airconditioning work, but there was a remote control with which we could actually adjust the temperature. The clerk on duty when we arrived, immediately volunteered to make a reservation for us at the Borghese Gallery. The staff were remarkably helpful and friendly throughout our entire stay. Our only reservation would be the size of the room, about 15 sq. meters.

Because there are only 14 rooms, we weren't able to get a non-smoking room as requested. Instead a smoking-room was to be aired before our arrival. Unfortunately, this did not occur and it took a day to rectify the problem. The staff were very apologetic and gave us some chocolates to compensate. Otherwise, our stay was hassle free and we'd certainly recommend the Hotel Cortina.

Enjoyable stay overall, 1st time in Rome & staff were pleased to offer advice on where to dine and directions to various places. Was led to believe there was a bar area however there is no comunal area to sit in at all except at the breakfast room in the morning. Breakfast basic but good. Welcoming not overly warm but not unpleasant & we did arrive at 1.30am. I think the price was good for what we got & I would stay here again. I would ask for a different room though as our room (No. 5) which was facing the reception got quite noisy at times, such as just before breakfast and at night with other guests ringing the bell to get in. Cleanliness was excellent especially the bathroom which was sparkling when we arrived & cleaned to the same high standard every day.

Rooms very clean and of good size however renovations being carried out on ground floor (hotel was on first floor)so was very noisy from 8am until about 5.30pm each day. Breakfast room was an interior room therefore no windows which I did not like (even though very nicely decorated).
