the street in front of the hotel is noisy. The zone is lovely and monumental. the staff was kind and proffesional we had a problem with the breakfast, bcause the bread had finished and nobody brought more.in my opinion the fault was the waitress that didnt tell it to the boss.

The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, but not with a suitcase. Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are only a short walk from the hotel. Location is also convenient for visiting Galleria Borghese. My room was small, but not cramped, although the bathroom shower was tiny and the lighting a bit dim. My room faced the noisy street, but with the window closed it was quieter. The air conditioning was not adjustable and just blew hot air around, but the bed was comfortable and I slept OK. Breakfast buffet had no fresh fruit, but did have excellent chocolate-filled croissants, and good espresso on request. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, gave me directions to the supermarket and info on buses and trains, helped me check-in on-line for my flight home, and arranged transport to the airport.

It was the first time I had stayed at Hotel Concordia and hope it will not be last. It truly is a little gem in the heart of Rome. Granted the rooms are not the biggest but are more than adequate and are all immaculately clean, as is the rest of the hotel. The owner is very warm and likes to have a good chat with all his guests, offering advice and ensuring that his guests aren't getting ripped off, especially by taxi drivers. Location is amazing, just a stones throw away from spanish steps and a nice 10min stroll from the pantheon and piazza navonna. Probably the best feature of Concordia is the roof terrace which I dont think any other guests where aware of when i stayed there. Every evening just as the sun is going down grab a bottle of wine and sit up there for some amazing views of the Vatican and the rest of Rome. You cant go wrong here.

We had a very nice time in Hotel Concordia. The staff was very accomadating and did everything to make sure that we had a wonderful time. During our stay we took a day trip to Venice, they allowed us to keep our luggage in the hotel at no extra cost. The location was very central to a lot of tourist attractions especially walking distance to the spanish steps, trevi fountain, colloseum etc.I will definitely stay here again.

This is my second stay at Hotel Concordia and they always performe! The location to "get to know" Rome is perfect, and the family running the hotel is very friendly. The low score regarding public areas is due to the disapointing fact that breakfast this time (Aug. 09)was not served at the roof terasse - but in the basement. A nice room for an evening meal, but get the terasse running again for breakfast! Breakfast could also be more substantial! Best regards Randi Karlsen Norway

Our stay at Concordia came at the end of a 2 week holiday to Florence and Tuscany and it was wonderful! We were looked after by friendly, helpful and courteous staff, had a beautiful, quiet, clean room with excellent air-con, and enjoyed a lovely breakfast every morning. The views from the roof terrace are stunning - especially at night - and it's a great place to chill out with a glass of wine before heading out to dinner. The owner is friendly, helpful and keen to make your stay memorable in such a beautiful city. We would definitely recommend this hotel for it's great location and the excellent service we received. Hopefully we will return to both Concordia and Rome in the near future.

The Hotel Concordia staff is very well trained and accommodating. What the hotel lacks in space and amenities, the staff makes up in service! We were in a triple room and these were 3 single beds very close together with no room to walk with your luggage on the floor. It was too small for 3 adults with luggage. The hotel was spotless, but I wish I had done more research to find a larger room for 3 people. It was a difficult 3 nights -- not the hotel's fault, though. Also, the hotel is dated and needs to be refurbished. Its a clean and simple hotel with no bar very near the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain.

Excellent small family-run hotel. Modernised and very clean. Bedrooms rather small but who wants to spend much time in a bedroom in Rome! Good location for buses, Metro and walking (Spanish Steps 5 min; Trevi Fountain 10 min; Borghese Gardens 10 min) to most of the sites. Helpful and pleasant staff. I would definitely stay there again.

We booked 2 connecting rooms for a group of 3 and had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The hotel owner is extremely friendly and we have plenty of help from one of the front desk staff who took extra efforts to provide guidance on recommended area of interests that we can explore. I will not hesitate to return to the hotel if I should visit Rome in future. The location is near to Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. There are also many shops surrounding the hotel. Most importantly, the area is safe so there is no worry on returning to the hotel after dark.

Great experience. Stayed in this well run family run hotel for 3 nights in October 2008. Concordia hotel is central to all major attractions just 2 blocks south of the Spanish Steps and 5 blocks north east of the Trevi Fountain. There were some very good restaurants in the area including the locally popular Rampa adjacent to the Spanish steps, and a little chinese restaurant right across the street from the hotel. The rooms were well appointed with classy looking brass and chrome fixtures (even a suit rack) and A/C. Stefano at the front desk was extremely helpful providing names and map locations of recommended restaurants and attractions. He even took our bags out to the taxi on the streetthe day we left. In the bathroom the hand-held shower head broke off completely by accident. The hotel had it repaired 2 hours after reported while we went out for supper. Breakfast room staff were extremely friendly conversing with us in almost fluent english. We would definitely go back.

Superb location within easy walking distance between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain. Adequate (though smallish) accomodation, with excellent ensuite bathrooms (this was the highlight for my 88 yr old Father). Very helpful and friendly staff at all times. Good cheap restaurants nearby. No common facilities to meet other residents, but the atmosphere in the dining room for breakfast was conducive for chatting about the sights to see in Rome etc. Thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay, and would recommend this hotel to other travellers who are looking for a small, clean, and convenient base for their stay in Rome.

We were greeted by the owner who was a lovely man, helped us with our bags, checked us in cheerily while the (I presume) son-in-law sat scowling at us on the sofa. The room was very tiny. Its fine if you plan on going out sight seeing all day, but there was not much room to move around if you plan on relaxing in your room. Beds are very, very hard and uncomfortable. I didnt really sleep. Paint in the bathroom was peeling off the walls and falling onto the floor. Otherwise the hygeine was very good. I think this hotel is a little expensive for what you get.

This is our second visit to Hotel Concordia in two years and another member of our family will return in August. Despite the rooftop being closed temporarily due to renovations and bureaucratic red tape, the basement area for breakfast is bright, cozy, and cool. It has the ambiance of an old world Roman cellar – how lovely and appropriate! Since our last visit, the hotel has undergone many improvements. The staff is gracious, kind, and always full of wonderful suggestions. Hotel Concordia is minutes away from ALL the major Roman sites. Stefano is quick to arrange any outing or offer suggestions for seasoned or novice visitors with patience, expertise, and a smile.

Hotel generally OK. One of the reasons we chose this particular hotel was the terrace on top of the building but unfortunately it was closed due to construction work. The aircondition in my room was making too much noise. The receptionist was informed and promised to look into it, but no improvement took place. Had to sleep with 2 windows open (draft). Worked OK, but.... Good location and always free tables for breakfast. A bit too pricy, especially with the floor terrace closed. Rooms (2 single) exceptionally small. Also had the worlds smallest elevator.

We are 4 "over 60s"friends and we stayed at the Concordia for 3 nights in May. The hotel is in a perfect location for sight-seeing in Rome being about 10mns walk from both Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. The hotel is spotlessly clean, though the rooms are on the small side. The bathroom was modern, and the rooms had air conditioning which was necessary when windows were closed due to road noise at night. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room charming.

For our first time in Rome this hotel was not as nice as we expected compared with other hotels in Venice and Florence. It was more expensive yet smaller and less amenities. The hotel staff were very helpful with restaurant and site seeing suggestions. They were not going to help check us in for our flight. The breakfast room staff lady was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fairly simple with not much variety. Maybe all the hotels in Rome are expensive, but we had much nicer ones for almost half the price in Florence, Venice and Vienna. The hotel location was very convenient to sites in Rome.

Hotel Concordia served my purposes exactly - a no frills hotel in a great location. I booked a single and the room was clean and quiet - breakfast was fine for this type of hotel and the location couldn't be beat. Given the high cost of hotels in the Spanish steps area - this was a bargain. I would stay there again if I was on the same budget.

The rooms at the Concordia are very small, but that is the norm in Rome. The difference is that Concordia's rooms are beautifully appointed, neat, clean and comfortable. There is a real bathroom with a real shower--sincerely appreciated! The placement near the Spanish Steps, between two Metro stops, is very convenient, and Gregory's Jazz Club is actually around the corner from the hotel. If I manage to make it back to Rome, I will definitely come here again.

Our stay at the Hotel Concordia was delightful. The rooms, while small, are very clean and have everything you need. We had two single rooms which housed two small twin beds, so there was more than enough room for one. Two would be tight, tantamount to a cabin on a cruise ship. Breakfast was lovely on the rooftop terrace, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent if you want to walk to most of Rome's sites, and if you need a taxi, the hotel will call one for you. We walked to almost every important tourist attraction, dinner, and of course, gelato shops! Overall, the experience here was wonderful. It was my first trip to Italy and I would definitely stay at the Concordia again.

This was a perfect place for us to stay for 4 days on my first trip to Rome in 30 years. I would recommend Concordia wholeheartedly. The reception staff could not have been more helpful and the room was immaculate. Although a little small the room was more than adequate for our needs and the air con was perfect for a hot August. If we return to Rome (and we will) I would not look for anywhere else to stay. Concordia was perfect and we walked to all the usual tourist destinations with ease. just returned from rome and had a really lovely holiday, rome was wonderful and far exceeded any expectations i may have had. could not fault the concordia hotel except for the fact that i wish it would have had a communal area such as a bar or the like so we could socialise with other guests of an evening as we met lovely people and would have liked to exchange more than a quick word at breakfast (hi to meg from canada)..highlight was receptionist tony who went out of his way on more than one occasion to accomodate both myself and my elderly mother, he was a credit both to himself and to the hotel concordia. i would love to go back to rome, i would definately stay at the concordia again.

Before heading for Roma, I read numerous moaning reviews about the spaciousness of the rooms at Hotel Concordia and was preparing myself for a cramped existence for 4 days - for goodness sake - talk about exaggeration! Who cares??? You don't go to Roma do spend any time in your accommodation except to wash and to sleep! Admittedly there was not an abundance of space but the accommodation was PERFECT in every aspect from the cleanliness to the quality and very friendly staff at Concordia, to the fantastically central location. Walls were paper thin and much activity in other rooms could be heard during the night. Outside traffic was loud as well though one expects that more in a big city. The staff was not gay-friendly. They were very confused by our stay which was not an experience we had at any other hotel in Italy. They even tried to stop my partner from going upstairs initially when we checked in. In their defense, one older gentleman on staff did seem to try hard on day 2 to make it up to us as he was aware the first impressions were quite poor. He was very friendly. The rest remained rude throughout the stay.

This environmental conscious traveller appreciated the fact the air conditioning can not be activated if the window is open. Other brilliant technology: your room key-card turns off the lights when you are not in your room. The owner took care of my mum and me like we were his own children. Plus, the front desk arranged a pleasant, yet VERY EARLY morning taxi to whisk us to the Da Vinci international airport.

A very clean hotel that offers a simple but satisfying continental style breakfast. Rooms are fairly small - but who needs large rooms on holiday? Staff are friendly and efficient. All in all a good hotel, ideally placed allowing you to walk and explore the City's main sights. 20 minutes walk to the Vatican and Colloseum, with plenty to see on the way, Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps no more than five minutes walk. There is no bar at the Concordia but they are available directly opposite the hotel. Looking for a relatively cheap bed and breakfast hotel that is clean, quiet and well placed - Concordia Hotel is the place!

We stayed 3 nights in Rome at Hotel Concordia. The room was small, but clean and complete and the equipment in good shape. Employee were helpful and kind. The hotel is situated in the center of Rome, 5 minutes walking from the Spanish steps, Via Veneto and about 10 minutes from Via Corso and the Trevi fountain. I stayed here for 4 nights while in Rome in October 2006, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good, centrally-located hotel at a reasonable price. The proprietors and staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and adequate for all my needs. The single rooms are small but not uncomfortably so. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no laundry service, nor are there any self-service laundry facilities nearby - the only option is a nearby dry cleaner that is fairly pricey. Overall I was very happy with the Concordia and would definitely return to this hotel when visiting Rome again.

Only a five minutes walk from to the spanish steps and a perfect location if you want to go shopping. Very friendly staff. The rooms are absolut clean but tiny. Althouth the view from the breakfast-terrace is good, you should prefer a bar, if you want good coffee. There´s a narrow staircase and not every room can be reached by lift. So you shouldn´t be handicapped. Nevertheless I can recommend this hotel.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Concordia. The location was great. The rooms were small, but very clean and well appointed. The continental breakfast was great. Tony at the front desk was very helpful. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

This is a nice little hotel superbly located in a quiet street (in as far as any Roman street can be quiet!) a mere few minutes walk from the Spanish Steps. The staff are friendly and competent, with the added bonus of possessing a good level of English. Our room (a standard double) was pretty small but spotless and cosy, with really powerful AC. The rooftop breakfast thing is a nice touch, and the food and cafe latte were decent. Would definitely return to this hotel.

We had 10 ten days in Rome and the Concordia proved to be the ideal accommodation for us. The staff were very helpful without being intrusive. Our room, although small was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast on the roof was relaxing with wonderful views.Location is everything and the Concordia is the best! Two minutes to the Spanish steps, five minutes to the Trevi Fountain, we walked to the Vatican easily and is within easy walking distance to most sights in Rome, and we are in our sixties! We would definately stay there next time we visit Rome.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Concordia. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean and the location was excellent, right in the center of everything we wanted to see. Within walking distance of everything. Stefano was always available to answer any questions we might have and help us with reservations. He was the best! How wonderful, for us, that he spoke excellent English.

Very helpful and courteous staff; terrific location close to the Spanish Steps, shopping, restaurants and the Metro. Would not recommend for those with any difficulties with steps. The elevator was small and did not go to the roof where breakfast was served. Otherwise, positive experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Rome. The Concordia hotel was excellent and very central to all the tourist attractions. The room, although small, was spotlessly clean and the staff were always very helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate and we would definitely stay here again when we come back. We would also like to thank Venere for making it possible for us to book this hotel.

Of all the trips to Rome we made during the last years, Hotel Concordia ranks way up in the top for frindly and attentive service. We had a great time! Everything you need and look for is at your footsteps: public transportation, the Renaissance and Baroque palaces, squares, fountains, etc. And last but not least: a broad range of restaurants, trattorias, osterias within a block or two!

++ : The area is very nice, in the middle of everything in Roma and rooms are new, clean and quiet. -- : Services provided are very limited, only breakfast actually... The rooms are very small and we had twin beds event though we ordered a double room... :-(( In the end, quite expensive for such small rooms but you pay for the location I suppose...

Having been told that good value, friendly Hotels in Rome are few and far between, I was not expecting much. However I was pleasantly surprised with the lovely welcome and overall helpfulness of everyone in the Hotel. It's location is fantastic and we will definitely be back!

I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone travelling to Rome. The location is ideal. The staff were more than facilitating, friendly and most helpful. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The room was small and the rate was high but that is just the way it is in Rome. All in all, it was an ideal hotel.

We found that the lift did not give access to all floors. To use the lift we had to walk to the first floor and breakfast was in the basement area which again was down a relatively steep staircase . This was a concern as one of our party was disabled. The roof terrace was disappointingly not available for use. However the overall stay was very enjoyable, comfortable and very clean. We would recommend the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly and interested staff. Location was very good.

Fabulous little jewel of a hotel in a superb location between Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, directing us to restaurants that turned out to be ideal choices. Rooms on the cosy side but spotless and tasteful, and a bright and cheery breakfast room in the basement will set you up well for a day spent exploring Rome's antiquities. If you like small welcoming and initimate hotels rather than corporate monoliths look no further.
