I wouldn't reccommend this Hotel to most tourists, as it is far away from the city center and most attractions. On the other hand it is very conveniently located if you are on a business trip and prefer to stay in the north part of Roma. Can be good also if you are in Roma for sport events, as the main sports structures are reachable in minutes. Accomodation is good for the price, and the employees I met where friendly and supportive

Ricevimento: lo staff è malgrado il cambio di turno, freddo, scostante, poco accogliente, non disponibile. Nessuno mi ha salutato nè all'arrivo nè alla partenza ed in questi due frangenti è tutto un "singhiozzo", tutto è da discutere incluso il desiderio del Cliente di riavere subito dopo la registrazione il documento di identità. Si privilegia l'organizzazione e l'ordine di priorità dell'albergo invece che del Cliente. Senza chiedere nulla sono stato messo in una stanza per fumatori in cui su tutto campeggiava il tanfo di sigaretta. La sala della colazione, è imbandita con poche cose che si ritrovano il giorno dopo nella stessa posizione e con la stessa aria "stanca" (dolci, salumi e formaggi)luci orribili, silenzio di tomba e personale poco accogliente anche qui. Un'esperienza un pò sgradevole. Hotel scelto solo per vicinanza ad amici.

Internet on poor PCs, lots of errors. Gym is poor. Breakfast terrible. Bed is soft. Furniture is terrible. Try other place. Terrible.

There is only one big problem. The hotel is far from the center of Rome (near the olimpic stadium). There is a bus that frequently (but not on sunday, in Rome on sunday the bus service is reduced) bring you over the river, then you have to change with another bus/tram that will bring you to an underground station. So if you want to go to the center, and you don't have a car, it'll take about 30/40 minutes.

How to reach Hotel Colony

By car
From the highways, take the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring-road and then take exit number 6 (Flaminia). Proceed on via Flaminia following the indications to Roma centro. Drive for about 3.5 km until the traffic lights. At the third light, turn left onto via Monterosi, where the hotel is located.

By train
The property lies about 7 km from the Roma Termini railway station and is best reached by taxi in about 20 minutes. Otherwise you can take bus number 310 until the end of the line, in piazza Mancini. From there take bus number 200 and get off at the stop on via Flaminia Nuova, within walking distance from the property.

By airplane
The Fiumicino airport lies about 30 km away and is well connected to the hotel by the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring-road. Upon leaving the airport, take the Roma-Fiumicino highway until the ring-road, and then follow the above-said indications. Alternatively, you can take the express bus leaving every 30 minutes for the Termini railway station and then follow the above-said directions.
