Desculpe-me a redação em português. O Hotel Centro superou as nossas expectativas.

Traveling with my wife. We have stayed at 4 or 5 hotels near Termini over the past 15 years. This was one of the best for the price, and it was an especially good location since we were going to the Opera - right across the street.

Very nice hotel in good location just a few minutes from the train station and Colosseum. It was also possible to use a free shopping bus and go to Piazza Venezia. The service was excellent with real morning coffee. Via Nazionale is a good shopping street just around the corner.

The price was good. The room was big enough and clean, also the bathroom was so.We also had small terrace of our own room. The breakfast was good enough.Only trouble was, while we stayed there, the elevator became out of order. For us it was a good exercise, but for like old people it could be a trouble. We would like to stay there again.

We booked this hotel in order to stay near the train station. We had a great surprise. The price is good, the breakfast is not great but OK. The room was little but had everything needed, and it was spotless, we even had a little terrace for ourselves. The personal was very nice and helpful. We would stay there again. I strongly recommend it to somebody that has to stay near the train station and does not want to spend too much.

The Centro was a good choice. It was less than 5 minutes walk to Repubblica Metro Station. We also walked from the Centro to the Colloseum in 20 minutes. As it is in side road off Via Nazionale it was not too noisy. Staff were efficient and our room was clean and comfortable. We found plenty of good restaurants in and around via Nazionale. Breakfast was good with cereals, fresh croissants, cheese ham eggs. The only critisismm was that coffee was from a machine and sometimes there were not enough tables to accommodate guests so you had to wait for a table.

I would return to this hotel. I found it to be as described on the website. Excellent location for visiting the sites, the metro is just arround the corner also. The rooms are clean and spacious and breakfast had plenty to choose from. The only negative thing is the fact that the coffee and orange juice are supplied by machine and therefore lack substance.

This was a real "find" and we would gladly stay again. Staff were very helpful: made arrangements to keep our baggage before the room was available, recommended good local restaurant, and Alberto was a huge help with directions out of Rome, generous with his time and map. The room was fine (though a previous occupant it seems had smoked in it) and the hotel pleasantly quiet for its central location. Lots of choice for breakfast. All in all, for the price we paid, we were delighted

This hotel is okay. I was travelling in a group of three couples with a large age range. All of us felt that the hotel was decent based on location (very close to the train station and bus stops), but there was nothing special about it and the desk employees were only sort of helpful - they pushed the resaurants they had connections with and when asked about laundry they will only refer you to the VERY expensive service next door when there are tons of cheaper places close by. Rooms were spacious and clean - though there were many suitcase marks on the walls. Bathrooms were spotless with a heated towel rack (a nice bonus). The bar in the hotel was nice, the breakfast service was okay. Given the price and the location it's an okay choice, but I'd be interested to see what other hotels in the area are like.

I was very pleased with the Hotel Centro. The room was comfortable and clean, including the bathroom. Both concierges (day and night) were extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast room was large with a decent array of foods to select from. The attendant in the breakfast room made delicious coffee as requested. The location (side street off Natzionale) was quiet and convenient. My friend (both of us are mature women) and I used the local buses, the local train and even walked with our large suitcases to the nearby train station-- all were very close.

We were a family of 4 (2 adult children) and had a quad room -- one queen bed, two twins. It was quite nice and we even had a roof-top terrace. Small refrigerator was helpful. Very close to the Metro stop so we used it when we wanted to go farther afield such as to the catacombs. We walked to most everything though. Be aware that some Metro stations close at 11:30 p.m. and if you're trying to return late at night as we did from the Spanish Steps, you'll be walking as we did! Not that bad though. Breakfast was very good - have them make your expresso instead of using the coffee machine. Hot chocolate out of the machine is good. Great hotel!

Contrary to other reviews, our room with 2 single beds was spacious (it may have been used for a triple sometimes, in which case it would have been just adequate. The bathroom was a perfectly adequate size and very nicely done--everything like new. We had a balcony and a wardrobe, nice windows. It was a tad warm even though we had the heat off and it was cold outside, enough for me to open the window at times. It could be heat rising through the building to the upper floors which I speculate might be a problem in the summer. The neighborhood was great with lots of restaurants and very close to Metro and bus line. The hotel is half a block down a quiet side street though, so you don't have to listen to the traffic on the major street. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was adequate, though of budget quality. There was not computer available, although they may have laptop connection. It is quite a small hotel, but every was done very competently.

A bit grumpy personnell but the hotel itself was very good. We were two adults and two children from Sweden and got one of the the top floor rooms with our own terrace! The hotel is perfectly situated in the midst of Rome to be a starting point for walks to all the famous points of interrest. I give the hotel my thumbs up. PS. Ask for a hand made Cappucino during breakfast instead of using the automatic machine...

Excellent value for money. Good location, breakfast as good as most and better than many. Nothing to do with the hotel, but beware of the airport taxi driver scam of claiming you gave them a 10 euro note instead of a 50 (after switching it). We got caught on the way in, but managed to spot the same driver on leaving and tackled him - he gave us our money back rather than be reported to the police, and this was an official taxi!

The rooms were very spacious for Italy and cost was good for Rome (bathrooms in particular, were very large for an Italian hotel). Location was great. Centro is located in a reasonably well place. Termini train station is just about 7 minuted walk from the hotel. Other tourist attractions like Trevi fountain are also in walkable distance. The staff were also cordial. On the cons side, I had got 2 separate mattresses on a double bed. That was bit inconvenient. Phone in the room was not working. They had a spare one in the bathroom too and it worked. Room was not very specious. Overall we liked it for the price we payed for this.

Hotel Centro is situated in a great part of Rome. It is right across the street from the Teatro dell Opera and is about a 10 minute walk from the Termini, where the metro can be taken to Borghese, St Peter's, and Piazza del Popolo if you would prefer not to walk these longer distances. (We both walked from the hotel and used the Metro - the Metro was very convenient and easy to use and lovely when you're weary.) The Colosseo, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the multitude of shops and restaurants on busy Via Cavour are within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel does not have internet access but on Via Cavour, there are many internet points. The staff are not overly friendly but are very efficient. They allowed us into our room about an hour early which was so appreciated. The room was small but very clean with extra blankets and pillows and the thermostat was adjustable - very nice in chilly December. Our shower was small and there was no place really to set toiletries, but this was only a small inconvenience. There was no view in our room which did not matter as we spent little time actually in the room as Rome was so marvelous to explore. Our beds were very firm (which is to our liking). Breakfast was simple with a variety of rolls, some cheeses and meats, watery juice, and basic mueslix. There was also yogurt and hard-cooked eggs. As others have mentioned, please do yourself the favor of requesting a cappuccino from the friendly breakfast lady and avoiding the coffee machine in the breakfast room. There is a bar that appears well-stocked (my daughter and I did not take advantage of it, however).Hotel Centro is a well-located, basic hotel adequately serving your sleeping and breakfast needs in Rome.

Walking distance from the Train station, and it is easy to find. The breakfast were great, plenty of fruit, and pastries. The only complaint I have with the breakfast was that the orange juice were too water down, tasted like water. Ask the attendance to make you a fresh expresso instead of making one from the machine they had there. The hotel clerk were very helpful in recommending a nice pizza place to eat, the restaurant owner even gave us a discount for mentioning the hotel name. We book a Quad room for 4 nights, they upgraded us to the top suite which has walk out terrace and hardwood flooring. The SHOWER water changed from hot to cold during our first night of stay and but it was immediately fixed when mentioned to the staff. Within walking distance to Ancient Rome and various main sites.

We were completely satisfied. We stayed in Rome for three nights. We booked a quadruple room, and it felt like we had 2 rooms in one. There was a sliding door that divided the room in two sections, so we had a king size bed and a bathroom/shower in one section, and a queen size bed and bathroom/shower in the second section. That really helped when the four of us had to shower. We were able to walk to most of the major sites, we only took the bus to the Vatican city. My husband, my young daughters and I were totally satisfied with Hotel Centro.

We won't go back to this hotel! All we were looking for was a place comfortable enough to sleep, as we knew we'd spend most of the day sightseeing. It had to be of good value, fairly central, clean, comfortable and have good air conditioning. We were very disappointed! The room we were shown to was so small we felt claustrophobic. It had a damp, musky smell which was most probably due to the obvious damp marks on the walls. The yellow walls were grubby and the room felt unclean. Our air conditioning was noisy and, by no means cool! We couldn't believe anyone would be expected to sleep there, let alone pay to do so. We immediately went to the front desk to complain, (which is not like us at all) where we felt we were given a very frosty reception. We were moved to a better room, in that it was bigger. Still grubby with quieter but still very poor air conditioning. We had breakfast the first morning and opted out the second morning. Only plus for us was the 5 minute walk from Termini station and the 2 minute walk from nearest Metro.

The Hotel was close to the train station as well as a major street, in order to catch a bus or to walk. The hotel was nice but a little worn looking. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and offered lots of good tips of things to see or do. If leaving to return to airport, refuse the front desk's offer to have one of "their" taxis take you as there were, unbeknownst to us, another couple also going to the airport, and with all the luggage and people, one suitcase had to be held in one persons lap in very tight and hot conditions for the long drive. The Leonardo Express train would have been much easier.

Air conditioning not working in our room but working accross the hall in friends' room. Staff at desk not responsive & was not fixed although we were there for 5 nights. This was the first time I had stayed at Hotel Centro. It was in atriple room which was very small but clean and tidy. The beds were as hard as rocks but perhaps this is how they are in Rome (I had not been to Rome before this trip). The shower was great! All TV channels were in Italian. The breakfst mediocre, but they did provide breakfast early for us on the last morning which was very kind. Very close to the Opera House and Termini, but I don't recommend arriving on a Saturday night in the dark at Termini and then trying to follow the map! A taxi cost 20 euros for a 5 minute trip! The hotel is very close to buses to everywhere. Except for the hard beds and pillowcases, I would definitely stay there again.

We booked a quadruple for our family - what we got was a room in the cellar with a very small window high above our heads. All we could see from this window was the pavement outside, that was very depressing! The room provided not enough wardrobe space for 4 persons. We had to pack all our belongings in the 3 (!) bedside tables (each one had 1 drawer and 2 small shelves). Bathroom was fine, though. Breakfast was absolutely okay for Italian standards, though the breakfast room was packed with too many tables and chairs - if somebody sat at the neighbouring table, you couldn't move at all anymore! Furthermore, the TV in our hotel room only provided a few Italian programmes - it was certainly not what you can expect from a "Sat-TV" like it was announced on the website. The website could contain a few more pictures, especially of 3- and 4-bed-rooms. The shown terrace could be found nowhere in reality! The hotel is situated perfectly, regarding bus and metro stations. Several famous sights are also in walking distance, as are lots of shops and restaurants. Our stay in Rome was nice - except the fact that we became the victims of a pickpocket in the metro! Even though we thought we were over-cautious and careful, we did not notice ANYTHING at all until the purse was gone, so here's my advice for all future visitors: pay attention to your belongings everywhere, but especially in crowded busses and metros. PS: I chose "No" to the answer whether we would return to that property, because I don't think we will return to Rome at all within the next few years.

The hotel is convenient to the Terminal - just a 10 minute walk. That is handy for using the bus or Metro lines with a multiple day pass. It is an easy walk to shopping, restaurants and most of the main tourist attractions. The neighborhood is well lit and safe at day or night. Breakfast is pleasant and adequate - be sure to request the fresh espresso/capuccino instead of the machine coffee.

Overall we did not like Rome. The city was very polluted and seemed to lack focus. Despite that, IF we would to return to Rome, we would definitely stay in Hotel Centro. Everything was clean and well organized. The bathroom was the largest we experienced in Europe. It is a few blocks from the train station so when we arrived from Florence we were able to simply walk over to the hotel, luggage in toe, in about 10 minutes. It is also right off Via Nazionale which gives you easy access to all the important and popular sites in Rome. Most of Rome looked dingy, including the neighborhood of this hotel. For a better stay (and more wasy more expensive) find a place near the Spanish Steps. One bad note is that the list can only take one request at a time. That is, if someone has pushed the button on another floor, you can not push the button on your floor to call the lift. we took the stairs a lot.

Great location near the the Republica Metro Station, so very easy to go to major sights in town. Also near the Termini which was convenient also. Service was good and the workers helpful.

This is a very good hotel. It is showing its age here and there, but is kept extremely clean and everything is in perfect working order. The staff is ultra-efficient and friendly. Breakfast is good. The location is great. We would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel for the price, the staff was very helpful, the rooms are small but expected and by the way I wasn’t in Rome to stay in the hotel room. Location was excellent, subway is 2 blocks way and if you are up for walking Fontana di Trevi is not that far away. Breakfast was very good, what a difference from American hotels that only serve eggs and Bacon.

I cannot praise enough the quietness of this hotel. Although placed only a few meters away from central road/bus/metro, it was dead silent at night. Excellent location, nice breakfast , nice rooms. Will DEFINETLY come back. Note: don't go the restaurant that the front-desk guy may recommend.

Stayed in Rome 4 nights.Don't think hotel had a restaurant other than breakfast room - breakfast very nice - coffee came from multiple choice machine;our recommendation:choose macchiatto, not cappuchino!Or hot chocolate. Enjoyed especially our meal at Pepperinos on Via Veneto.Hotel room rather smaller than in photos, but we did have lovely balcony and pretty view of Rome rooftops - would go back there again gladly, even though hall sounds, voices, slamming doors, carried into room. Location is absolutely terrific (for train, for opera, for Via Nazionale, for Via Veneto, and for all the rest!!)

Hotel easy to find if you follow map. First night were directed to 5th floor double room which needed decoration and shower very small. Bathroom could have been cleaner.Bed linen perfect and bed very comfortable. Reception very helpful and changed room next day with no problem. Not all rooms are the same size. Area is fine and not noisey. Shuttle from airport to Termini 5 euro very efficient. Bus and metro to tourist sites very cheap but remember to buy ticket before getting on transport. Dont buy from street traders they charge double. Watch out for pickpockets. Could spend a month looking at all the sites, beautiful city.

Hotel Centro is in a great location for walking to sites, restaurants and public transportation. Giovani was very helpful with recommendations for site seeing and finding our way around. There were 8 of us. Four stayed in the quad room on the top floor. This was perfect for our evening gatherings of the group. Breakfast was fine and even served early when we needed to leave before 7. We had a great stay and would choose Centro again.

Again, we used the rating and written feedback on Venere in chosing our Hotel in Rome. We had no surprices - the hotel was exactly as described by previous customers. Clean rooms, nice family room (2 rooms), helpfull and very service minded staff, OK breakfast, and very close to the train station (5 min walk).

The hotel is conveniantly located near the Rome railway station (close, but far enough from the hassel and annoyances). Given the stated level of accomidation, I thought this was an excellant hotel to stay in and would not hesitate to re-book. What differentiated this hotel from others was the excellant service provided by the concierge. His local knowledge and recomendations on dining, attractions and getting around was extremely help, especially as we only had a couple of days to experiance Rome.

This hotel was very nice, just a little bit small, but VERY close to the train station where all the buses left from so we had no problems getting anywhere we wanted to go - I would say this is just about the perfect location to stay in Rome - less expensive but very convenient and the staff is wonderful

We had a great stay at Hotel Centro. The positive aspects of this hotel were: 1) Quiet. It was located off the main roads, and therefore eliminated most street noise. Our windows blocked out most of the noise and we could not here the room next door at all. Since we were light sleepers, it was perfect. 2) Good service - Each hotel clerk spoke english and was helpful in giving directions and offering restaurants. He also helped when we couldn't figure out the phone! 3) Rooms were very clean. It was obvious that the room was cleaned before we got there. Plus, the room was serviced each day after we came back from a long day in Rome. Towels changed too. 4) Location was excellent with all of the main sites in walking distance. We paid 160 Euros per night, which is typical for Rome in Sept. All breakfasts in Italy were a surprise to us- just cereal, yogurt, breads, croissants and meats (that we usually eat for lunch)... Also, the 1/2 walled showers were a little annoying because we usually got the whole room soaked whenever we showered!! (but the water pressure made up for that-- excellent.) Overall a great stay at the Centro, would recommend fully.

Our stay in Hotel Centro has made our stay in Rome perfect! Location is perfect, 10 min. from Forum Romanum and 10 min. from Spanish steps. The man at the reception, Alberto, welcomed us very friendly and gave us any help we asked for during our stay. The rooms were very clean and quiet, the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, several breads and even yoghurt. The breakfast room was not very special: small and simple, but that was the only negative thing. We recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Rome!! We advise you to reserve the hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel and back, because for only a few euros more you travel much quicker and more comfortable than by train!

Hotel location was excellent: near the train station, several metro stops, and near major roads and shops. Taxis had trouble locating the hotel exactly. Rooms were nicely decorated; beds and pillows were of adequate firmness and comfortable to sleep on. Room (triple) was confinng with 3 beds. Limited hanging space or flat areas on which to place suitcases. Operation of sliding shower doors was awkward and made it possible to get much water on the bathroom floor if one were not careful. There was no tub. Staff seemed helpful.

Great to know that whatever time you arrive (in our case just turned midnight) there is a welcoming member of staff on the reception desk. The room was great for what we paid, in particular nice and spacious for the three of us. The hotels secure baggage room was very useful for our last day in Rome and we left after a nourishing breakfast.

arrived early morning, reception service excellent. Room furnishing simple but clean. Bathroom excellent. Breakfast more than continental and more than adequate. Area has plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Bus stop at end of road into city centre, but can be full so we walked back up to Termini bus station where all buses to all areas start. No views from window but to be expected in city hotel, would possibly find room claustrophobic in the heat of S

Hotel Centro was a great little hotel located extremely close to the centrale station. Had to take the metro to everything in the city from where the hotel was, except for the colloseum. The price was excellent, the cleanliness was above average, and the staff was somewhat competent and friendly. The maids were the friendliest. Front desk attendents sometimes didnt want to be bothered but we were a group of 7 college students from California. We were loud! Overall I would recommend to anyone this hotel!

Good, very clean accomodations. We found the location very convenient to shopping & the Termini for siteseeing. The gentlemen at the desk could not have been more helpful. Wished I'd ask for a room above level 1 as the windows were too high to see out of. But the upside was it was nice and dark for sleeping. The quad room had 2 nice sized rooms. Nice basic accomodations for a family.

In a hotel you want a good clean room, bathroom, welcoming atmosphere, quiet central location, a reasonble breakfast and local knowledge and to be treated well. I have known of others who have stayed in Rome and been disappointed but I found the Centro be good value for money in an easy to find location. I would recommend it to my friends on the above basis.
