This was the first trip to Rome for myself and my 3 children. I am so thankful for Alberto and his graciousness and advice during our stay. He is a wonderful ambassador for your hotel. His recommendations were all perfect and we had a wonderful time. Thank you Alberto for making our trip special!! John Lamb

Good location and spacious rooms but there are better hotels or bed and breakfasts for the same price. If you haven't been to Rome before staff will send you to the most expensive shops and restaurants. Luckily we had been to Rome before and knew where to go. Will not return to this hotel.

The staff was very friendly. We left the car key in the hotel safe and they send it to France without problems. I appreciated that they all spoke English. The room (and the bathroom) we stayed in was very spacious. The cleaning service was also excellent, the breakfast and sevice there, too. The location is great as the train station to catch the trains to the airports is just around the corner, also the tourist busses . I can really recommend the hotel. Prices are always quite high in such a tourist location like Rome, but I think it's worth it.

My single room was wonderful, I had a nice sized balcony and I wasn't even expecting to have one! Hotel Centro is in a good location to Termini Station and Piazza de Repubblica. It is an older building that could use a few repairs, but overall a excellent value.

This is a ghastly hotel. It resembles a carpeted (dirtily carpeted) prison complex with a reception area to match and rooms no better than cells. I was alone, but my room had a double bed in it; I could hardly move as one, two occupants would have been out of the question. The safe was a rusted hole in the wall which was disgusting to put one's hands into; the hairdryer was useless; the staff unfriendly and the breakfast had the distinction of making everything taste of nothing except the beverages which were dispensed from the kind of machine you get on railway platforms. Because it was defective, everything, including tea, had the faint taste of hot chocolate! The common parts are just plain dirty as well as poky, a truly vile experience in what was an otherwise (bar one) wonderful three week trip through Italy.

The hotel is terrible. Right in teh lobby one is greeted by a dirty, worn out carpet and odor. There are steps to the elevator. Noone to help with the lagguage. The room and bathroom were large, but the walls were covered with dirty spots of unknown origin. Airconditioning did not work but we could not keep the window open, for the garbage piled under the window. We cancelled in the morning, but were forced to pay for another night, which we did, just to escape the hell hole.

WELCOME TO THE RUDEST AND MOST INCOMPETENT HOTEL STAFF IN ITALY. When I asked the receptionist if he could recommend any restaurants on a sunday he told me that he could recommend one but it was closed and that he would recommend one on Tuesday when he was back on shift. He and his colleagues did not know of any internet cafes when asked(there was one around the corner) and failed to inform me that they had onsite internet access!!!!!!They also failed to put through three wake up calls and when challenged they replied they had just cancelled them!!! The hotel receptionists are Italy's answer to Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers. The rest of the hotel minus its staff is OK. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE INSULTED AND LIED TO!!!!!!!!

Very good value for money; good size room, comfy beds, fine sized bathroom, big wardrobe with lots of hangers. Lots for breakfast; waiter happily made proper coffee for us as machine awful. Bar looked nice but never seemed to be open. Helpful man at desk. Hard to find initial direction when coming from Termini despite direction emailed from hotel but is very near. Friendly staff. Pick up service from the airport really handy and a good value for money if you are 3+ people. Good location (walking distance to metro). Room space and breakfast selection pretty much along European-Italian *** standards. In term of night rates, a little bit on the upper side for this category of hotels. As usual in Italy, just a few hotels disclose that you'll have to pay 2 euro/night/person as a surcharge, usually in cash. It's not the 1st time/hotel I've seen this.

A great reasonably priced hotel. Excellent location and staff were very helpful and friendly - couldn't fault them. On arrival our room had only a very small window high up in the wall and on request we were moved to another the next morning with no problem. I visited with 3 female friends for a short city break and we felt quite safe in the surrounding area. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as was the bus and metro station. The only downside was that there was no outside space however I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would stay there again if I ever make it back to Rome.

Centro was perfect for last three nights of our vacation. We were tired and had accumulated a lot of baggage. The room was very spacious and allowed us to spread everything out. The bathroom is very large and the water pressure is excellent. Internet is free which was an unexpected bonus! Breakfast was fine and we could bring it to the room. The staff was helpful and accomodating. They assisted us with a shuttle to the airport even though we had already purchased train tickets! Our only complaint was that the a/c didn't seem to work properly. The staff looked at it immediately but it didn't seem to help much.

We were greeted by a pleasant gentleman and was very helpful with recommendations in the area. However, the room was not functioning properly. The shower drain was backed up and there was no maintenance in the evening. We had traveled for several hours and the thing we wanted most was to freshen up with a shower. There were no other rooms available and we had to check out the next morning (1030 am) to catch our train before they were able to fix the problem, so we never got our showers. The room was very small and looked like a college dorm room.

The stay at Hotel Centro was great. We had a 4 person room & they had a King bed + 2 pull outs from couches. These beds were terribly uncomfortable however they hotel staff was kind enough to change and give us 2 cots which were much better. The breakfasts were great & the hotel staff in general was extremely kind & accommodating. The hotel is located in a good location- very close [5 min] to the train station and only about a 30 minute walk to the historical center of Rome [bus #40 runs that way and is only about a 10 minute ride]. The guy at reception was very nice and really helpful. He showed us a nice walk we could do to see some of the free sites of Rome (we arrived late and the pay stuff was all closing :( The place was very quiet, and breakfast was a continental buffet breakfast, which was much better than the usual croissant and coffee (though they were available, but with 3 kinds of croissant and 3 kinds of coffee!) VERY friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Hotel is comfortable, nicely located on a quiet street. No 'bad' surprises. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again without hesitation. It is a very short walk to some sites and a Metro stop. Nice walk to most of the major attractions (take the Metro for Vatican City). Beds and pillows are comfortable. New bath with great water pressure and towel warmers. Included breakfast is basic but plentiful with a nice variety. Noise from loud children in hallways filtered into room, but no hotel can control for that. That's what parents are for!! The 'public use' computer is VERY slow... an updated one would be great. I finally found the perfect, reasonably priced, centrally located, hotel in Rome. Hotel Centro is on a QUIET street right around the corner from the Republica metro stop and just a few blocks from Termini Station. The rooms were adequate in size, perfectly clean, and the bathroom was relatively spacious with no plumbing problems (a first in these old buildings!). Breakfast was continental style with frsh fruit, pastries, breads, meat, cereals, and you can ask for real esspreso/cappucino (though they have the instant machine for coffee, tea, hot choc). The staff were particularly helpful and exceptionally courteous (thanks Michele!). The reception is immaculate and there is even a tiny elevator if needed after a full day of walking Rome. This is where I will stay every time I visit Rome and recommend to my friends and family. The perfect balance of quality and budget!

The hotel meets expectation. The price in summer is high, compared to US. But relatively speaking it is good for the price. Location is excellent. Breakfast is quite good. Well connected by public bus also.

Very nice room, quiet, with terrace, hotel in a good location near Plazia Della Reppublica (Metro, many buses, train station). Only the breakfast (room & choice) is a little bit disappointing but it seems to be the case in many roman hotels !

This was my third time in Rome and by far the best Hotel so far. It is in a prime location for exploring Rome. It is an easy 10 minute walk from the train station to the Hotel; as it is right next to the Opera House. The room was clean with nice Hardwood floors, nice tile bathroom with plenty of room in it; but overall the main room was a little tight for the 4 of us with our luggage. The gentleman at the front desk at night was very nice, and very helpful. He suggested a couple of restaurants near by that were reasonably priced and good food. There is a Metro stop 1 block away, along Via Nationale that has many shops and restaurants to choose from. I am learning that traveling with 2 in a room is a lot easer than traveling with 4 in a room. If I come back as a single or couple I will defiantly stay at the Centro again.

We felt the Hotel Centro was value for money, the staff were all very obliging the reception staff spoke good English. We had asked for a quiet room when booking and luckily that is what we got. The rooms were larger than we had expected with a comfortable bed and a small balcony with a table and chairs that we did use and enjoy. The breakfast was tolerable but the eggs were sadly very hard boiled. We would stay here again.

Desculpe-me a redação em português. O Hotel Centro superou as nossas expectativas.

Traveling with my wife. We have stayed at 4 or 5 hotels near Termini over the past 15 years. This was one of the best for the price, and it was an especially good location since we were going to the Opera - right across the street.

Very nice hotel in good location just a few minutes from the train station and Colosseum. It was also possible to use a free shopping bus and go to Piazza Venezia. The service was excellent with real morning coffee. Via Nazionale is a good shopping street just around the corner.

The price was good. The room was big enough and clean, also the bathroom was so.We also had small terrace of our own room. The breakfast was good enough.Only trouble was, while we stayed there, the elevator became out of order. For us it was a good exercise, but for like old people it could be a trouble. We would like to stay there again.

We booked this hotel in order to stay near the train station. We had a great surprise. The price is good, the breakfast is not great but OK. The room was little but had everything needed, and it was spotless, we even had a little terrace for ourselves. The personal was very nice and helpful. We would stay there again. I strongly recommend it to somebody that has to stay near the train station and does not want to spend too much.

The Centro was a good choice. It was less than 5 minutes walk to Repubblica Metro Station. We also walked from the Centro to the Colloseum in 20 minutes. As it is in side road off Via Nazionale it was not too noisy. Staff were efficient and our room was clean and comfortable. We found plenty of good restaurants in and around via Nazionale. Breakfast was good with cereals, fresh croissants, cheese ham eggs. The only critisismm was that coffee was from a machine and sometimes there were not enough tables to accommodate guests so you had to wait for a table.

I would return to this hotel. I found it to be as described on the website. Excellent location for visiting the sites, the metro is just arround the corner also. The rooms are clean and spacious and breakfast had plenty to choose from. The only negative thing is the fact that the coffee and orange juice are supplied by machine and therefore lack substance.

It is very nice hotel, comparing to what we saw in Paris :) The rooms was big enough. All facilities in the room was new, including very good mattress and working air condition!!! This what you need after hot day in Rome. Also the hotel is close to Termini.
