Hotel Cassia - La Storta, Rome

Lack of running water not even enough to clean your teeth! and noisy facing garage! Reported fault and changed rooms. Next room safe deposit lock jammed so couldn!t get money out which resulted in a call to manager and a wasted 2 hours as we had planned a trip to Rome central. Response from manager SORRY! 2 rooms in 4 days. never again.

There isn't a shuttle into Rome. It is a good 20 min walk to the station and an amazing 1 euro trip into Rome. Unexpected but fine.

We made a daytrip to rome and had one night at the hotel cassia. we left our car there and went by train to the city. this functions very well, even with our kids. The people at the reception are very competent and friendly. the breakfast is much better than expected. all in all a very good address.

The hotel and my room was above my expectation. Travelling with three children, it was a pleasant surprise to find that room #41 was a double room with three single beds and a double bed instead of a single room cramped with bunk beds and camp beds. The staff at the reception was welcoming, provided good advices about Rome (how to commute, where to park and where to go) and could communicate in the English language. For your information the main door of room #41 clacks (makes noise against the door strike) when the lobby door (three level lower) is opened and closed. As a recommendation, it would be nice if fruits were available with the breakfast. Thanks for a very nice stay.

Poor choice meals breakfat according to the level of this hotel and too sugary. No eggs or fresh fruit.

Anyone arriving at La Storta station (with luggage)on a Sunday can look forward to a lengthy walk to the hotel. Cassia is more remote from major attractions than alluded to, and it is important to ensure that you get on the final train leaving the areas where the main attractions are situated, if you wish to avoid an expensive taxi trip. Comfortable accomodation for us travelling with 2 kids aged 9 and 12 though and a good breakfast was provided.

Personnel at the reception were beyond doubt welcoming and supportive. We received maps, precise explanations of dining facilities around, transportation and interesting places in and around the Rome. Even transport tickets were available at the desk. Transport is also quite convenient, fast and cheap from the hotel to Rome (a day ticket just for 4 EUR per person is available – for the train, metro and a bus). Just be aware that the last train from Rome in the direction of the hotel leaves at 22:00 (last bus leaves at 23:00, but it takes a long time and you need to have one change at the end). Excellent! It takes 1hr from hotel to centre. Breakfast is fine.

A good hotel, with medium sized rooms, very clean. The hotel is situated FAR from Rome, especially considering the morning traffic, so if you wish to enjoy the city I would advice to choose a hotel in the centre. As we stayed there only one night before taking a flight, we liked this hotel.

A reasonable location for a trip into Rome (provided the trains are running properly on the day you are there). A very good breakfast. I got an underground space for the car. The local pizza was nice and reasonably priced. Overall the Hotel Cassia was good and reasonably priced compared with other hotels. (Especially with those in Rome itself - which don't provide a space for the car)

It would have been 10 out of 10 if it had not been for the tiolet not flushing which was sorted out by the next day and the fridge not working the whole stay. Otherwise fantastic service and friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend to others. This was a last minute search for a room when our other hotel cancelled on us at the last minute, so it was a very pleasant surprise to get such a good hotel to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cassia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were staying there to visit Rome. Although it's a little bit far from Rome Center, the train system was very convenient, and we enjoyed staying in this cozy, less busy place.

Arrived at the hotel via car from France late in the evening and was pleased by Hotel Cassia in general - the price was good, there was a nice underground car park which was well lit and very clean, reception was good, friendly and courteous and the room was comfortable and spotless - with Sky TV. I didnt get up in time for breakfast so cant comment on that. There was a Illy coffee machine in reception selling cheap quality coffee and the wireless Internet was free. Hotel Cassia in general reminded me of an upmarket hotel costing a lot more - but obviously smaller.

Excellent Hotel for the people, who drive to

We chose this hotel to extend to 6 days a 4-days easter journey to Rome. It is really less expensive than center town hotels, at half an hour of train from the city, but with cheap transportation fee. The associated restaurant (La fattoria di Clotilde, 1km away) is typical, with less tourists than Roma's restaurants, and really good.

There are three acceptable restaurants in La Storta; mostly quiet. We slept well in the hotel; however, if you have bad luck your neighbours can keep you out of sleep.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Cassia. Everything was as described online, very clean rooms, very friendly staff. La Storta is an about one hour long train drive from Rome, City Center but connections are very good. We would spend our Holidays again at Hotel Cassia!

Molto pulito ed accogliente. Camera matrimoniale abbastanza ampia. Servizi offerti veramente eccellenti alla luce del costo. Consigliato.

Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo, non molto lontano dal cento di Roma (15 minuti d'auto). Le stanze sono un pò piccole ma pulite, dotate inoltre anche di tv con sky (gratis), parcheggio e colazione inclusi nel prezzo. Colazione italiana buona. Ci sono stata una sola notte ma mi sono trovata davvero bene. Personale molto cortese.

We were visiting Rome & needed a hotel that had car parking on the outskirts of Rome and close to public transport. Nice hotel in reasonable area, although a little difficult to find even when in the area. Friendly and helpful reception staff who assisted with transport advice etc.

We were driving and did not want to drive into heart of Rome so this was a good location for us. Train ride to metro station was 40 minutes. It was about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Last train returning from Rome is 10:20 pm. I should add that the staff was exceptionally helpful. The very best of our whole trip.

Lovely hotel and staff. In the outer suburbs and nice to experience how the locals live. Probably suits those travelling by car better - too far to walk from train station but can catch bus from there and stop close to hotel but bit hard to find the first time - probably better to taxi from airport or train the first time but will cost about 40 euros. A way out from central Rome but trains regular and take you to all main areas. Good value for money. No lift so you need to be able bodied enough to carry your suitcases and manage stairs.

A nice hotel, with spacious rooms and facilities. The property is a little far from Rome - about 1 hour riding to Rome's historic center. Not adequate for late hours return as public service ends at about 22.00 hours. Adequate for access by car but keep in mind that car parking in Rome is expensive and traffic heavy. The breakfast is the weakest part of the hotel, a continental breakfast with little choice but in ample quantity.

Very nice employees The hotel is half an hour from city center by car or by train. The Station is 600 meter from the hotel. We had rented a car but it is complicated to park and circulete in Rome so i recomend use the train.

My only complaint, was the extra charge for items in their mini bar. All hotels and motels that I have been at, will have such items as Complimentary items, free of charge. I was not aware of the extra charge untill I was checking out. It should have been known to me at the time I checked in.

I am very plaesed with my staying . The staff was very helpful by giding me to an indoor parking place, even when I arrived back at the hotel in the middle of the night , after my old-timer has broken down . The reception stays open 24 hours a day . Many thanks , Walter

Adding for this 'hotel' is a fraud that Venere shouldn't have participated in; what is unbelievable is the other comments, obviously written either by mentally disabled guests or by Cassia 'hotel' itself; I strongly advise everyone to avoid this establishment

Good location since it was easy to take the train into rome, we were a family of 5 with 10 pieces of luggage and the room was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator - you figure it out

Did not realize how far outside of Rome the hotel is. It took a train to get to the metro. A suburb of Rome. Taxis to and from were very costly. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

Not so closed from Rome, but easy access: railways aren't hard to understand for newcomers, they are cheap and numerous. The recommended restaurant have very broab service hours. There is nothing to criticize, althought the price is very attractive.

This is a very nice place. The hotel is clean, clear, quiet and elegant. The staff is very competent and friendly. The price is attractive and the coffee break is really good. You can reach any location in Rome by train and/or subway. You will have to walk a few minutes from the La Storta station to the hotel, but this is not a big problem. I like very much.

We enjoyed staying at the Cassia. The desk clerk told us how to get to the train station but his directions were not adequate. We walked there the night before and had to stop three people on the street for directions. However, it was easy to take the train to the center of Rome. The rooms were very comfortable and pleasant. We loved the local restaurant where we ate although it was a pretty good hike to get there. All in all, very nice place and much cheaper for the value than closer in.

The FD staff was great!! I can't say enough about Daniel. He went beyond what my expectations were of the property. We came early for check -in. Around 11am but he saw how tired and sleepy we were from out trip that he got us our room ASAP! Great service!

The hotel was a very good place to end our stay. A little far from the city centre approximately 1hr 15min to Coliseum, but for the hotel price and convenient public transportation cannot complain much. From the La Storta FM3 station you can actually take any bus parked outside. Ask to stop at the first stop at Via Cassia. Then take bus no. 201 heading to the left direction. Look out for the hotel on your right. If you do not have your luggage, bus no.35 stops at the train station and stops at the T-junction in front of the hotel. Whatever bus you decide to take, please ask the bus driver for help. They have been very helpful throughout our journey to and fro to city and hotel. Last bus is at 11.15pm. We LOVE our room! The housekeeper cleans it every day. We stayed in other hotels in Italy that only cleans every 3 days (don’t understand why?!). Every day the shower caps, ample towel rolls are replenished in our room. Every room has a mini fridge. At first impression the hotel came across as noisy because it is on the main road. Surprisingly, it was quiet. The hotel shared the same land with an apartment, so we heard budgies singing every morning. This was a joy and we felt at home as we had our own budgies back home. There's a grocery shop and a fruit stall very nearby to pick up some food. Staff were friendly and competent. Especially Claudio who took the extra mile to help us with directions. He took out maps and knew when and which trains, subway and busses to take. Mafalda was friendly and we were blessed as during the conversation she informed us that the airport and train workers will be on strike the day we suppose to take the airport. We woke up very early and made it to the airport before 9am. Thank you to Claudio and Mafalda for your help. The only complaint we had is the breakfast. Cold, not much variety and very sweet pastries. Need to look into improving on this. We will definitely be heading back to Cassia Hotel. We will keep y

I loved it! the employees were welcoming and helpful at all times. Close to transportation, shops, etc. Would definitely stay there again. Very satisfied.

For Rome prices, the hotel was good value, but that was because of its location, 15 km from the city centre, or 1 to 1.5 hours by public transport. (The quoted 25 minutes is the time the train takes to get from the point where you leave the Metro to the station at La Storta.) The instructions for getting to the hotel are less than adequate, and our jadedness on arrival was not dispelled by the loftiness of the office staff who were courteous rather than welcoming. The room was well appointed but without surplus space bed and the bathroom likewise. The breakfast made some concession to non-continentals in the provision of cereals, but for the most part was a variety of cakes which we found unappealing at the beginning of the day. We were pleased to get into this hotel, and were generally satisfied with it, but if we were to go to Rome again we would make our plans early enough to get something similarly priced closer to the centre.

The room and the bath room(Shower) is very small but you dont spend a lot of time in the hotel anyway. It is clean affordable for Venice.

Environnement un peu bruyant ( notre chambre étant proche de la route). Accueil sympathique et professionnel. Trés propre. Petit déjeuner excellent. Un peu loin de Rome, d'où une perte de temps en trajet, bien que ce soit assez facile.(Train et métro)

This is a good place to stay to see Rome without having to stay in downtown Rome, as long as you remember that the last train back leaves at 10:30pm and that the subway line to connect to that train stops running (and converts to a much slower bus) at 9:00pm. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The staff at Hotel proved to be extremely helpful, beyond the call of duty. Especially when it came to helping us get to where we want to go. The hotel is about 40 minutes out of Rome, but there is an Pizzeria next to the hotel and an excellent restaurant near the train station. One word of advice, if getting a taxi from the airport (anywhere between a 35 min and 2 hour journey, fix the price, or make sure its on the meter as we were completely ripped off on our Journey in.

Everything was fine, especially for the price, the hotel is a short drive from Lake Brachianno, home of the castle that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married, We were within walking distance of the train station that takes you right into Roma. I felt safe on the train as well. The breakfast was good even though there were neither eggs nor meat. The staff were very nice and helpfull. I will recomend this hotel to others, the price is cheap and the room is comfortable. I would stay there again.

The hotel was absolutely according to our expectations. The staff was so kind and always willing to bring us guidance about train schedule and bus routes. The room was perfectly neat, clean and quiet, though some times i could hear the guest next door taking a shower. Breakfast was ok. The train station at La Storta is gone to the dogs. It's hidden from de main road, and you've got to walk 8 or 10 min to the hotel. The trip to Termini Station takes about 50 min. I recommend it for those people who want to stay at a good place and are not interested in spending time in Rome at night.

Dans la banlieue romaine. Parking privé. A 10mn de la gare. Le dernier train part de Rome vers 21h00 : cet hôtel ne convient donc pas aux noctambules. Sinon, plutôt bien desservi. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Assez bruyant.

Well priced hotel if you travel by car and don't mind a 45 minute commute to Rome city center by public transport (Covered Parking space -away from the main street- is very convenient) Breakfast could use regular bread though (and not only "dolci")!

We were a couple with an older girl.we had a little difficulty finding the hotel,because it was far from rome centre,so we took the sub,but then we did not know were to go,the time was 10 pm so we took a cab,after a long trip with the taxi we did find this hotel.for us it was great but we was tourists so we had to do a long way to get in the rome center.we had to walk 10 min or you can take the bus no 201 and then to take the train fm3 at the station la storta.its not so difficult.my wife and my daughter knew italian and stefano& claudio gave us a map so we could walk throught rome without fear to get lost. Se potrei venire ancora una volta a roma,cercherei hotel cassia,ma questa volta verrei con l'auto.ma rimane sempre un grazzioso hotel.my daughter said.and for us hotel cassia will be always in our memory.thank you!

It was 107 degrees outside . Our room had no window coverings and a broken air con. Staff refused to help us. We were miserable.

Poor breafast

We had an excellent 7 nights stay at Hotel Cassia. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful and two of them (Daniele and Mafalda) spoke good English. There is a supermarket (name: EMME PIU) with in 5 minutes walk from the hotel and you can buy anything you want from there and they accept all major credit cards. We also enjoyed a really nice Pizza place 2 minutes walk, from the hotel in the same side. You can order your own Pizza and see how they prepare it. The Pizza‘s were very fresh, quite reasonable in price (about 5 Euros), and the place is open until mid night. The station (La Storta, line FM3) is about 12 minutes walk from the hotel and there is a tobacconist on the way where you could buy all types of train tickets. We found the CIS ticket very useful. It cost Euro 16.00 for 7 days and you can use this on city rail ways, all ATAP busses and tube train (line A and B) with in Rome ring road. The ring road covers quite a large area and the ticket is more than sufficient to cover all of Rome’s main historical sites including the heart of Rome City. We have one little advice which will find very useful when guests are coming to the hotel 1st time on the train. When you are coming from the city of Rome , After getting down from La Storta station, you need to get in to platform 3 (trains going in the opposite direction from where you came from) and exit. There is a shop at the right end of the platform and you exit from there to via Cassia road. When you reach the main road, via Cassia (150 meters from the platform 3) you need to cross the road and take the bus towards the hotel, which is about 500 meters (2 bus stops).The Hotel is in the same side as the bus stop. If you have not much luggage walking is certainly an option. (12 minutes).

Just off the busy Via Cassia in La Storta. A comfortable hotel with a pleasant outdoor patio and reception. The staff were helpful and spoke English. The AC was great. The computer access was great. Near shopping but a bit noisy and a busy road. Breakfast was poor.

This hotel was the highlight of our stay in the Rome area. That may sound funny - of course we enjoyed seeing the sights, but I was disappointed in the reactions of people, and the lack of cleanliness (Graffiti). Although this hotel is a little ways outside of Rome it was worth it. The train ride only costs 1Euro and that includes the bus ride to the stop by the hotel. We stayed here 6 nights and really enjoyed it. The staff was really congenial and helpful. We had been being careful, but in Rome our EuroRail Pass was stolen. I was really disappointed in the reaction of the police, and the train staff. However, the hotel staff helped provide a place we felt safe. It was nice to be a little out in the country each evening.

I was booked to stay in hotel Cassia for a total of 5 nights, but on arrival I decided that I would only stay for 1 night because; Location to Rome city was too far away and the last train service out of Rome was at 2100hrs making it impossible to enjoy our stay. This train situation was not stated when booking Hotel and If I had of known Cassia's location compered to Rome I would not have booked Hotel Cassia. The train from Cassia to Rome was approx 40mins.On web site it stated that Hotel had a restuarant but this was not the case. Cassia itself had very little to offer as the whole town seemed to close down in the evening (unless I was there out of season). Although we had little dealings with the staff when we did we found them freindly and helpful, however the receptionest did find it surprisng that we had booked that hotel for a vistit to Rome. And because of all the above we spent the whole of our first day looking for another Hotel in Rome itself

Very nice and intimate hotel. The staff is very welcoming and speak English very well. They provided us tourist maps and explained how to reach the property. If you don't have a car, you have to catch the last train from Rome between 20.00-21.00. For later hours, there is the 201 bus leaving until 23.00 from Mancini Square. It takes about half an hour from the hotel to St. Pietro and the trains are in excellent condition. Breakfast was in "Italian Style" with lots of sweets, bakery and good cofee. Unfortunately, there was no restaurant in the hotel, except for the breafkast room, but the staff recommended us a good place to eat. We enjoyed very much our staying. The view from the room was very "mediteranean" and the the atmosphere - very warm. Surprisingly, the price was very ok.

It takes about 1.5 hours to get from hotel to downtown Rome by public transportation bus/train/subway.

If you are going to Rome to see the Vatican, Spanish Steps, etc...expect to travel 1 - 1 1/2 one way from the hotel to the city! From the train terminal, it's another two train rides and a 15 minute hike to the hotel, the main door is tucked behind a drive way, if you're not looking, you'll miss it. If you're okay with the traveling, keep in mind, the last train to get back to the hotel is 10:20 (which means you'll have to plan to catch the first train about 9:00 in the city, to not chance missing the 10:20 train out of the city), if you miss it...it's a taxi, no hotel shuttle or service. The room we had, was small and stuffy...smelled like someone used it for #2, right before we got our keys. Even with propping the windows open for three days, the smell never went away! Don't bother asking the front desk for recommendations for a place to eat, because they have one place and according to them, it's a short walk, but it's actually a hike, take the bus! I personally didn't think the quality of the hotel, the lack of staff service and the travel time to/from the city was worth the "little" savings. Rome is too big to not spend the money to get a room close to the city. Before booking this hotel, there was a comment made by another couple that did not like the hotel, I thought they were exaggerating...but I'm here to say they were not. HOTEL BAD!!!

Staff at reception was very friendly and helpful, especially to my kids. Unfortunately, the breakfast time ends at 9.30 (weekdays) and they were very strict when we were late. There is a good and cheap restaurant close to the hotel, which makes it very convenient to have your dinner after your return from the city centre. Public transport is excellent and cheap. The train station can be reached in less than 10 minutes by walking. This hotel is a good choice and we will book it again next time in that amazing city.

Good Hotel. A bit simple, but clean. Before my stay, I read a comment saying there were no bread, ham or cheese on breakfast. It is true. There a lot of things to eat, but not the principal (bread). At our last day, we bought bread and we took to beakfast. Attention to the room 51. This room is adapted to Physical Handicap. If your not, maybe you will not like to stay there. We had to spend 1 of the 3 nights there, cause there were no other room avaiable. The next day, they found us another room. Near to train station La Storta (30min from Rome).

Very nice peeople, a little far for the center but public transportations get you reaally fats there, and rooms are ok.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in Cassia. Very short walk to La Storta train station for a 20 minutes ride to St.Pietro station.Excellent pizzeria almost next door to the hotel.Very friendly town, we will go back.

L'accoglienza è ottima.. Alla reception sono molto gentili e disponibili ed hanno un approccio confidenziale ma non invadente.. Per quanto riguarda le stanze, la matrimoniale è molto carina e confortevole, con letto spazioso. Il bagno è anche quello spazioso, con un ampio box doccia. L'unica (per chi non ha la macchina) pecca, è che non è ben collegato e rifornito di mezzi pubblici. Nelle vicinanze, si può raggiungere abbastanza comodamente (in macchina 15 minuti) il lago di Bracciano. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Gute Verkehrsanbiendung mit dem Zug zum Zentrum - ideal, wenn man mit dem Auto kommt und nicht durchs Zentrum kurven will!(Letzte Rückfahrmöglichkeit um 24Uhr!) Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider waren die Badezimmer nicht 100% sauber, aber ok. Sonst sehr schöne Zimmer. Frühstücksbuffet: sehr italienisch, nur Süßes (davon aber reichlich).

I had a lovely stay with my boyfriend from 1 to 4 Oct 2006. This hotel is clean, of good quality with that price. The breakfast is also good. Although it is a bit far from the city centre, I would stay here again when visiting Rome next time.

A little too far out of rome but for the price compared to that within rome it was ok.

Very nice hotel for the price that we paid..close 2 the train station to go 2 the vatican... the staff very nice and helpfull and plus one of the girl knew how 2 speak french now thats a big plus....i would go there again for sure..loved it

Very courteous owner that took time to answer any questions and give any assistance. The hotel is easier to find if you know the street is near the church and plaza. The rooms were nice size and clean and by European standards which was fine by me breakfast was plentiful and the cappucino A+. It is conveninet to a bus to Sorrento and for the price it's a bargain in Italy.

Hotel Cassia has a new building with 4 floors. Problem is our room is on top floor which has no elevator. We need to drag the heavy luggage by ourselves. On the other side, the hotel location is OK because train station is at 15 minutes distance. It can reach city centre directly. Cleaning of room 41 need improvement on the bathroom, which spread the bad smell over the room.

Au calme loin de Rome avec un repas complet pour 15 euros le soir hors boisson c est tres appreciable apres un journee intense en visites. pour aller a rome il faut prendre le RER local qui est en excelllent etat et on ne se sent pas du tout en insecurite le prix : 1€ pour 75 mn de trajet sur toute les lignes cad rer metro et bus Mais vous pouvez mieux faire en achetant le Pass Rome pour 18€ tous vos trajets seront gratuit pendant 3 jours, 3 musés gratuits les autres a moitié prix si vous avez le moindre doute demander a l accueil ils se feront un plaisir de vous renseigner en Anglais et meme dans un Français parfait avec cette gentillesse qui caracterise les italiens le parking est un plus aussi Bon voyage !

Cassia was definitely a quality hotel for the money - the staff was attentive, friendly and accommodating. It is convenient to the metro although the trains only run until approximately 10:30 in the evening. Since the hotel was so inexpensive I did not expect any amenities but there was a refrig. in room which was convenient. The rooms were small and the shower extremely small but again for the price and location I would recommend the Cassia

LO UNICO QUE CRITICO ES LA DISTANCIA DESDE ROMA. NO HAY UN MAPA DE COMO LLEGAR CONCRETAMENTE, Y ESO NOS COSTO, PERO REALMENTE ERA MUY FACIL. EN METRO, TRENINO Y BUS UNA HORA APROXIMADAMENTE. NO RECOMENDABLE PARA GENTE QUE QUIERA SALIR DE NOCHE POR ROMA, YA QUE DEBERA VOLVER EN TAXI.

As you can see from the answers to the above questions myself and my girlfriends stay at Hotel Cassia was an enjoyable one, solely because of its location i believe it is quite specific in who it will appeal to. Due to the excellent public transport system in and around Rome getting from the hotel into the centre was both cheap (16 Euros/week) and easy but Hotel Cassia is not somewhere you just pop back to because you've forgotten something as it would probably be an hour and a half round trip. After leaving Hotel Cassia we spent a further two nights in rome at a hotel in the centre with some friends and appreciated how lucky we'd been at Cassia. In summary the hotel is clean, quiet, friendly and excellent value for money but it is very much on the outskirts of the city though well served by reliable, clean public transport. I would recommend.

The hotel was very clean and very quiet with the walls, doors and windows thick. It has a nice covered parking included. There is a mini-bar, a nice bathroom newly renovated, and air conditionned too. The bed is comfortable and the breakfast is included but do not expect too much from it. To travel to Rome, the best way is to take the train; "La storta" train station is at 10 minutes of walk from the hotel and then there is a 35 minutes travel to attractions. The train tickets are 1 euro/person for 75 minutes - really cheap! Also there is a supermarket and many pizzerias between train station and hotel. Finally, the staff was really collaborative. Overall, this is a sure bet if you prefer to stay outside of Rome and don't mind to travel a bit.

If you don't mind being out of the city centre this is a very comfortable hotel with very welcoming staff. The railway station with frequent connections to the city is 10 minutes walk. The hotel also offers evening meals which are very good value. Recommended.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for good quality and low price. The travelling time from Rome termini-station to the hotel is about 50min, but there are buses till 11.45 pm.

We thought this place was great. It was definately the largest room for the price on our whole trip. The customer service couldn't have been better. This is definately the place for anyone who wants to see the outskirts of Rome where the real people live...it's a good 45 minutes of train and metro rides away from Centrale. As long as you make the 10:20 train to la Storta and don't mind the ride, this is the best place to go.

Trés bon acceuil , personnel serviable nous ayant donné de bon conseil pour nous rendre à Rome sans la voiture ( train régional type RER) petit déjeuner compris dans le prix.Menu complet (antipasti ,primo et secundo piatto, dessert)pour 13€ par contre quelques difficultés pour nous rendre à l' hotel en arrivant par la côte mais les italiens sont serviables il suffit de demander .

Initially difficult to locate. Had very convenient parking for car. It was close to public transportation. It has a restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff.

The owner was very accomodating as we came in late. Though he spoke little English, he treated us as though we were fellow Italians--with graciousness. The waitresses in the eating area were wonderfully helpful and service was prompt. My son Isaac, age 8, liked this of all the 5 hotels we stayed in in our 2 week visit to Italy. Das Hotel ist ein bisschen weit von der Stadt entfernt, aber in der Nähe gab ein Supermarket und eine Münze-Wäscherei. Ausserdem sind auch in der Nähe viele Restaurants.

The staff was friendly, the mattress was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was new and clean. For 210 euros for 3 nights, it's a good deal overall...however.... The maps are deceptive - and it is very far from all of the touristy sites....we had to walk 20 minutes through a run-down area just to get to La Storta station and then catch a 20-minute train into St. Peter's from there!! We had to cut short our evenings, as we didn't want to be walking through that rough area late at night, particularly through the station, which consisted of a deserted parking lot and lots of wide open fields around. Anything could happen! Breakfast was not enough to fill you - just some juice, some milk, and some cereal and small, cold pastries. They were tasty - but I certainly needed more to be satisfied. Interestingly, the majority of the clientele were Italian - no tourists ventured out that far.

The hotel was small but nice, the employees were friendly and helpful. Our room (quad)was spacious and clean and the bathroom big enough (only the shower cabine a bit small). What I didn't like was the breakfast: it was only cakes and sweets and not even fresh but packed in plastic. We had a car and in the evening it took us 1,5 hours from the center of rome to cassia because of the traffic. Early in the morning (7 am) we went to rome and it was only 30 minutes to the center by car and there was no traffic. What was positive in the end was that we did not have to pay as much as we had expected from the internet reservation.

Wonderful place. Welcoming and helpful staff, bigger room and bathroom than I expected. The only complaint is the map given. A how to get there via bus or train will be helpful. The location is also rather far from city center but quite connected by bus and train. Overall highly recommended if you don't mind the distance of hotel from city center.

It's is a good place to stay except it is very far from Roma central.

Room was very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. A great value for the money. A one kilometer walk to train station into Rome that was convenient. Would definitely stay again if travelling with family or large group.

The facility was in accordance with my expectations for this class of hotel.

We stayed at the Cassia two times during our Italy stay. The propriater was very helpful and kind and went out of his way to ensure we could have a late dinner (which was excellent). The breakfast offering was varied, plentiful, and, as it was self-service allowed us to make early departures. All the staff was friendly and prompt in offering assistance. They offer excellent accommidations for a traveling family. The railroad station was a bit further than we anticipated and using a taxi on the return trip from Rome was a big help especially considering the Italian's attitude towards time and schedules.

Hi, Special insidance : I traveled with my family by DB train all the way from Hamburg to Rome and while travel from Roma Termini to La-Storta as guided (metro) by Hotel e-mail my vallet been stollen in the Metro while entery and pickpocketer got down at Rublica stn. But after reaching to Hotel Cassia help me lot to block my all bank cards and gave me full assitance to locate AMEX Rome office. I thanks to Hotel Cassia for all help but would like to advice that they should tell customer in advace that Hotel is far away from rome and first time should come by Taxi instead of Metro. and taxi is charging hardly 25 Euro from Rome termini to La-storta.
