No telephone in room, though porter didn't mention this when I asked for a wake-up call. Near the station but be careful about taking a taxi as often go the long way round (trip should be €8 with luggage.

Only one night stay. Ok if you have to catch a train eary as it is very near to Termini station. clean room. Didn't have time to try te breakfast , we left very early efore 07AM and the breakfast is between 07h00am and 10h00AM. An earlier breakfast schedule should be available for early leavers..

My Husband and I stayed here for just 1 night before heading home. This was the smallest room, yet possibly most expensive place we stayed in, on our entire trip. Staff were friendly and we were able to check-in early, but couldn't get the Wi-fi to work. The room was neat and tidy - but did smell of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was modern and nice. The biggest negative was the room size - it was so small that a "normal" queen sized bed wouldn't have even fit in the room (it had a double bed) and then there was nowhere to put our 2 backpacks - we ended up stuffing them in a cupboard.

It is on the other of the station. So the first time it is a long walk. But you can take metro form a smaller closer station. Only problem we had was in bathroom, in tub water was clogging. So we had to take quick bath and we stayed there ofr 3 days and problem was not resolved. Other wise it nice stay.

Great 3 star hotel in a one star area. Close to the train station, about a five minute walk to the nearest subway station (Vitorio), it is in a more ethnic and rustic part of town. The hotel and room (quad) is clean with a nice powerful air conditioner (very important in the summer). Our room has a queen, single, and pull out for the 4th person. The bathroom appeared recently renovated. The only quirky thing is the toilet. It works fine once you figure out how to finesse the flushing mechanism. The complementary breakfast is meagre for a 3 star with no servers and vending machines for coffee and juice (not good). They offer hotel to airport transport for 40 euros flat for anywhere from 1 to 4 people. Book early to get the pickup time you want. I would stay there again if their prices were a bit lower.

Though we had no prior knowledge of the hotel itself, we had read that the neighborhood was a bit rundown. We did not think it was bad, even strolling home well past midnight. The hotel is conventiely located near the Termini station and the Vittorio subway stop. Our hotel expereince was very nice. Our room was small, but clean and adequate for our three-night stay. The hotel staff was friendly and quite helpful, given our limited linguistic skills. they gave us a map of Rome and showed us the quickest way to the Colosseum (via Chinatown), and also recommended and made reservations for us for a nice restaurant just a block away. They confirmed our flight reservations, arranged transportation for four to the airport for an early Sunday morning flight, and even opened the breakfast bar early so that we could eat before departing. Overall, a well-run, reasonably priced-hotel.

Great hotel! Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable, and the ameneities (breakfast, etc.) were excellent. The only downside to this hotel is its location, which is a little rough around the edges.

We had a triple room (3 adults) reservation for 2 nights. The hotel was prompt in confirming our reservation. When we arrived, the room was clean, and reasonable in size. The bathroom was clean and modern. The hotel is very conveniently located within several blocks of the Termini train station, and has ready access to the buses and Metro (underground transportation). Many of the tourist sites are within walking distance. All are within ready access using the Metro system, which is easy to use. One of our members needed a 5:45am limo pickup to the airport, which the concierge was easily able to set up. This appears to be a family-run hotel, with staff that are very helpful and courteous, and able to assist English speaking guests. When we subsequently returned to Rome after visiting Sorrento, we unexpectedly needed a room for 1 night prior to departure by airplane. Hotel Caracciolo did not have a vacancy, but graciously assisted us in locating a room in a nearby hotel at a very favorable rate. So, you cannot beat service like that! We would definitely stay at Hotel Caracciolo again on a return visit.

Our stay at Caracciolo, was superb. Having not to worry what time we came back each evening was nice. Someone was always in lobby. The rooms clean, the bed and sheets very comfortable. The W/C was clean plenty of hot water, also with the hot Roma weather in July the a/c was a welcome relief. Thanks so much John Betson, Pottstown Pennslyvannia

Hotel was located near the train station but was quiet. Most sights were not in walking distance but a short taxi ride away. No parking was provided but there was a reasonable parking garage around the corner which provided a special rate for the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious with private baths. It was a good deal for the price and I recommend it.

The Caracciolo Hotel was so much better than I had expected considering the price and the location by the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious. This hotel is definitely a good value as it is within walking distance of all of the main sites in the city. I would not hesitate staying at the Caracciolo again.

Hotel nice and clean. Good size rooms. Breakfast basic but very welcome - cereal, croissants, bread and as much tea / coffee as you need! Be prepared for the area - not the nicest but very close to Termini which is very handy and comes with the advantage of being considerably cheaper than a city centre hotel. Only bad point is that the walls are very thin - I could hear the people across the hall talking in their room.

This hotel has a 24 hour reception, so my partner and I were extremely surprised to return to the hotel in the wee hours of the morning, after having attended a wedding reception, to be told off and lectured for being so late by the member of staff on duty. We were scolded for being the only guests still out and reprimanded for not having called the hotel to let them know how late we would be!!! It was like being told off by your mother! We checked at the reception the next day to confirm if the hotel was 24 hours and we were assured that it was. After returning the second evening at midnight (to avoid being lectured again!) we were really annoyed that the room had not been serviced. No clean towels or sheets, bed left unmade and the room not cleaned. We checked out the next morning and moved to another hotel. I have managed to stay in a 5 star hotel in the US for the same amount of money I paid for this dump. This hotel gets a zero.

This is a really nice hotel, with huge, pleasantly decorated rooms, clean, with good shower etc. However, the location is not very good - bit of a trek to the main sites. The value for money is good considering Rome is an expensive city, and if your budget only stretches to the area around Termini station, I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were happy with our choice. We arrived late in the evening so the hotel arranged a taxi to pick us up which was a bit complicated to arrange over the phone since the receptionist didn't understand what I wanted at first but worked out fine. The hotel is not in the nicest area so we didn't venture too far at night, but is very clean and all the tourist attractions are within walking distance (approx 20 minutes to the centre of ancient Rome and 30 minutes to the city). It's close proximity to the train station makes it very easy to get around and to and from both airports (coach to Ciampino). Good if you're on a budget and don't mind a not-so-beautiful view from your room window...

Everything was great about this hotel with one large exception - the staff. The old man working at the front desk was completely rude and imcompentent and acted as though his hotel guests were a huge burden. He was outside or eating in the dining area twice when I tried to find him and he lied about our ability to get a bus tour because he was too lazy to look into it for us. Luckily, a new staff person the next day took care of it for us easily.

This hotel had lovely well decorated rooms good AirCon however no Fridge and the TV had no English stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was simple but very nice. The only negative was that the location was not very attractive although being so close to Rome Termini was an advantage. There were no hidden charges and they took AMEX. We had a good stay overall.

A small hotel located close to the stazione termini, and within walking distance of all the sights. There were also some good markets nearby where you can get bargains on clothes, shoes, etc. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and just the right size. Even though the hotel was on a busy street, we didn't really notice the noise of the traffic at night. We would've liked a few more power points though, as there was only one in the room.
