really bad, the bedsheets had stains on them, the place was smelly, a mix between hospital food and mould, the included breakfast was appaling, it was only possible to get some hot water and mix it with either coffee or tea of bad quality, and the food on display, bread excluded was quite mediocre. overall a really bad experience especially because from the photos shown on the web site we thought it was a decent place, we were there on business and found it quite distressing. Definitely we won't be back

We stayed at Hotel Capitol just 1 night because of it's proximity to the train station. We returned by train to Rome that night and were flying home the next morning. It served that purpose fine. It is not much of a hotel and the surrounding area is very dirty and full of suspicious individuals on the street. They do watch the front door closely which was nice.

The rooms, while clean, seemed rather drab and lacked cheerfulness. It seemed rather a letdown after some other places we'd stayed for not much more money, with vastly different atmosphere. The bathroom, while huge, lacked a shower curtain, so each time we showered the floor became flooded (it was unavoidable). This seemed like a huge hazard, as the floor became extremely slippery when wet. Wonder if they've been sued yet for someone slipping and falling.

This 2-star hotel surprised us by being better than some of our 4-star stays, except for not offering the lavish breakfast buffets they did. We had expected the surroundings to be much less pleasant because of being near the train station, but we felt safe and found good restaurants nearby—and were delighted to be so close to our train! The hotel is nicely decorated and staffed with pleasant people. This was a great find!

This hotel was literally 50 metres from termini station and a great location in that regard. very clean nice room, a little small but that is common in Europe. We stayed in 2/3 star hotels our entire stay in Italy and this was by far the best room we had.

The hotel (or rather the street) is noisy, which I did not mind at all. But others may, and this is definitly a warning to those. No hot water after 8.00 (used up). breakfast room bit poor, but since Italians do not care for breakfast - just get acustomed to it! Service mixed (1 competent, 1 incompetent). No mini- but automat for drinks at the reception (But no beer!) All other things quite well, staff very helpful! GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!

The only thing we learned is that three star hotels in Europe do not turn on their air conditioning until June. Since the weather was really good most of the time, it really didn't matter. Venere did a great job for us on all of our hotels. Thanks, Alice Hardin

I stayed at the capitol with a friend for a weekend break and have to say that i was impressed with the quality and size of the room, especially considering the price. I did struggle to find the hotel at first as the map wasn't that clear but it is easy walking distance from the Termini (one minute max!) You don't need to worry about a taxi honestly. I would have no problem with recomending this hotel as it offers both value for money, and being so close to the termini, there's easy access to all the sights. My only complaint would be, there was a strange smell of drains in the room every so often...

The hotel is located near Roma Termini with a distance about 2 minutes to walk. There you have Train and Bus connections to simply everywhere in and around Rome. So it makes the hotel a good stop for short travel or if you stay one night only like we did. We stayed in Rome for one day and then travelled to Roma Ciampino Airport to catch a RyanAir flight. (Take the train [2Euro] and a local bus [1Euro] in Ciampino, since the offered shuttle-bus takes much longer and costs more!) Therefor the hotel was well suited but i wouldnt recommend a longer vacation there. The room was very small and the bath-room even much smaller. The building wasnt constructed as a hotel so the rooms were seperated afterwards and because of that everything is small and narrow. The towels were washed but had a strange smell like kitchen or something and the room and bath-room could have been cleaned much better. There was a lot of dust on the air-condition fence and even cement splashes on the bath tiles. But I think the price was good for a location in the center of Rome and since we only stayed for one night we needed a bed and a shower only.

This hotel was a good one for the price. The only problem is the location of the elevator(lift). It is necessary to negotiate steps with your bags in order to use the lift.

Convenient location near Termini, safe but this is not a good part of town. A bit of noise with the trams going by from early morning. Nice, clean room. Overall very pleasant.

A localização é muito boa, porém, os arredores da estação Roma - Termini dão uma certa insegurança. O café da manhã está muito abaixo do aceitável.

The location is very good. The room we stayed was spacious. About the bathroom, hot-water supply is not so stable and sometimes bad smell comes up from the drain.
