Everything was very nice with an exceptional breakfast. Room a little on the small side, but we really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent reception and service staff. Breakfast buffet of high quality in pleasant surroundings. Room was not huge but was comparable to other hotels in same price/star range. Excellent location just off busy Via Nazionale but Via Napoli was not at all noisy. An excellent hotel and would happily stay there again!

We were surprised this is a 4 star hotel. The room was very small. The staff were pleasant and helpful, very welcoming. The walls were thin, we could hear everyone coming into their rooms late in the evening on our floor. Our room smelled a bit musty. The TV was a 13" with terrible reception and about 4 channels. Air-conditioning spotty. The breakfast was quite nice and breakfast room charming. I am just not sure how it is a 4 star hotel.

Hotel arranged transport from the airport E50, we arrived at the airport about 2030, so we were keen to get to the hotel as soon as possible. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent, hotel location very good, no more than 15 minutes from Termini. Room size good, also quiet. Good location for buses, metro and within walking distance of most places. We walked miles not wanting to miss anything. Colosseum about 20 minutes walk. Entry to over 65's free on production of passport or photocopy to the Colosseum and the Pallantine Hill. Would recommend to anyone and will return on the next visit to Rome. Albert Smith

excellent service from all staff, drinks offered on arrival, breakfast good(better if you get there early)very welcoming & relaxed atmosphere, excellent room facilities (even tea & coffee & a sun lamp over the bath!!)though room itself a little small. Soundproofing from outside very good, though the heating system can be noisy We were a mature couple, travelling alone-desk staff were very helful re tickets/tours etc & spoke very good engish. The hotel was also 0nly 7 mins walk from the Termini station & just off Nationale(great for buses to the Basilica, Pantheon, Navona, Castel Angelo)& we could walk to Trevi fountain in 10 mins

Just too "dated" for a 4-star hotel and for the normal price for that room. We subsequently stayed at Eurostars for 90 euro a night and everything was much newer, cleaner and more pleasant. The deck was nice, and your breakfast was excellent. And those working there were very, very nice.

We were very pleased with the hotel service. We had difficulty finding a property for the New Year celebration in Rome and settled on the Britannia. We were pleased with the location-close to the train station and within walking distance of all the major attractions. Three out of four of us were pickpocketed on New Years Eve and the hotel staff was most helpful in putting us in contact with the correct parties. Kudos to Mario. He was a godsend.

We were on our 35th wedding anniversary and had never been to Rome. We expected something special and got something less than ordinary. Although the service was ok, I felt the photographs of the hotel belied what you actually got. The room was a conservatory on the roof, supposedly the best room ??? I would not like to see the the worst one!! On a sunny day it would be ok in a rain downpour very noisy. The surrounding area was filthy with lots of poor sods sleeping in doorways. Unfortunately I would not stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it too anyone.

A good value hotel in downtown area. The hotel is not quite as close to the Termini station as described in the presentation. The breakfast was excellent. The public areas was very pleasant. The entrance was down a stair and could present problems for people of restricted mobility.

The hotel staff was very helpful. The sites were not far from this hotel. We walked everywhere and saw the Colloseum, Trevi, Spanish Steps, etc. This hotel was also very close to the train station, about three blocks. The breakfast at this hotel was not the typical roll and cafe. They served the yummiest breakfast we experienced in Italy. The baked tomatoes with basil was the best, especially with a side of thier proscuitto and cheese.

great location, could walk to most places. Happy that we were just off a busy street, so not as noisy as others would have been. First time in Rome so not used to small rooms but hear that is normal. Had one good sized room but one for our two teenagers was very small. Otherwise very happy with cleanliness, staff and location. Internet access not high speed in rooms but there's a reasonably priced internet store across the street

We were there for our honeymoon and they gave us a bottle of champaigne on our first night. It was really special! Their breakfast was just right - the fruit was fresh and the pastries were excellent. The eggs and other breakfast items were very good. It was an excellent place to stay, good location, great rooms, quiet street (or at least very good sound proofed windows), and a great service staff. Highly recommended.

A great find just outside of the very centre of Rome. Reception staff were for the most part very helful and booked redstaurants and taxis for us. Rooms were fairly small but well equiped and well kept. Breakfast was excellent

This was one of the best breakfast buffets that we had during our two week tour of Italy. We stayed here in the 90's and decided to return. Very close to the trains. Find other parts of Rome to eat dinner.

The facility and location were excellent, as advertised, but the staff was exceptional, professional and friendly. Everything was a pleasure from the welcoming cookies and drink to the departing car service to the airport. We were especially pleased with the help of Enrico and Maddalena. We went to the restuarant of Enrico's friend and in addition to having the best meal of the trip we were greeted as friends. We recommend Hotel Britannia to anyone as a great value; you can spend more money but you will not be treated better.

My overall impression of the hotel was very good. I enjoyed the close proximity to the train station. Although the map was some what confusing the walk from the train station was short. The welcome I received upon arrival was exceptional. I was asked if i would like something to drink or eat before being shone to my room. The lobby area and public areas of the hotel were well kept and impressive for a small hotel. My room was very nice and the bathroom was well stocked with all the essentials. I appreciated the knowledge of the front desk clerks who helped me with maps and dinner reservations. Please be aware that the hotel is not well signed on the street so if you are on foot you may miss it.

My husband and I and a friend stayed here recently. The hotel was suberbly situated to all the tourist spots. We even walked back from the Vatican via several other places. Our room was spacious very clean. Our friend was very pleased with his room although he was able to hear a baby crying in the room next to him. The bonus for the men was a cooked breakfast and a large variety of food. Staff where very pleasant and informative. Overall a real find.

I was very pleased with the Hotel Britannia. I booked it based on its proximity to Termini Station, and information that the staff was very helpful to tourists who don't speak Italian. The staff was, in fact, very helpful, and the location couldn't have been better. In addition, the room was very spacious, and the bathroom was great - we loved the whirlpool tubs, and the linen was wonderful. We also loved the goldfish - a nice touch!

Everyone was very gracious to us. The rooms were outstanding. Both my wife and I slept like we were at home. Everything worked as promised and for the value before high season it was great. Both of us would stay here again. Our son's room was smaller but very nice and had a large shower in the bath. He told us he enjoyed his room

The Britannia is well located next to Stazione Termini. By using trains and the subway, the hotel was very conveniently located to all the sites we visited. The location is nice but not picturesque. While dining out in the immediate vicinity was fine, it was an easy walk to better establishments near Trevi or the Spanish Steps. The hotel was clean and the staff was highly accommodating. We loved our room with the terrace; cozy and romantic. Breakfast was excellent. We would have no hesitation in returning.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was tucked away on a side street away from the noise, and our room was lovely with French doors that opened out to a quaint balcony. The room also had a beautiful marble tiled bathroom. It was the best room we had during our whole two weeks in Europe. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and accommodating. The Italians are some of the nicest people in the world.
