For Rome the B & B was good value but for anyone coming from Canada or the US they may get a bit of a surprise if they compare to North American standards. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the proximity to the Termini train station and a Metro train station was excellent. Some good quality restaurants in the area as well.

The room standard but had fridge air con good shower and very secure with the type of building. Would stay again reasonable price for what you get for a smhort stay maybe.

At first we got a very small room, hardly any closet space, the shower was too small and we had no warm water. The room was not very clean. After complaining the next day we got an other room near the breakfast room. From 7.00 very noisy every day. Very poor breakfast.

The room was very small- just enough for the bed and a narrow walk around it. There is nowhere to put your bag. The bed was uncomfortable and I didn't sleep well. It was very over-priced for what is offered. I would not book this B&B again. The breakfast was packaged. I expect more for what we paid.

Poor breakfast (industrial bakery) not appetizing at all. Smelly and dusty room. The toilet had yellow stains on the seat. They man who received us was very welcoming but talked fast Italian. The Wi-Fi signal was very poor; the both of us couldn’t get connected at the same time. The shower fell to the floor, it was impossible to have a normal shower. The shower’s borders were black dirty. The maid only made the bed, I once in the morning dried my hear and when we came back at night the sink had hairs all over; we stayed 4 nights and it was never cleaned. On the 3rd day we ran out of toilet paper and there was nobody on the reception, so I had to send them an email in Italian that took them 2 hours to reply. The mattress was really old and hard, you can feel the springs and was not a good bed to sleep in. They don't’ speak any English. You can hear in the room all the noises in the flat, from upstairs people stepping on the floor and in the flat people talking on breakfast since 7:30am in a loud voice. I don’t understand why the website shows a high rating in the guest comments. This was our worst B&B’s stayed ever, and we have travelled a lot in Europe. Signed from Spain, a couple.

Really familiar and friendly atmosphere.Very convienient location for train and airplane travellers. Nice court with many plants and goldfish in the fountain. The vicinity of the Main Train Station as in every town less attractive- but see above- only 200m from the Stazione Termini-very convenient!- a real advantage. For those who know Rome- also the vicinity of interesting historical places. Rooms clean and tidy, the breakfast room as well.

MY stay in Rome was made all the more pleasant because of my comfortable, peaceful stay at B&B Giovvy. I traveled alone but the staff made me feel like I was part of the family. They took every effort to make my stay comfortable. I was counting on having reliable Internet connection and not having a consistently good signal was my only disappointment. But, I would definitely return.

Room had plenty of space, very clean and comfortable. Location three minute walk from Termini station very convenient. Good, ample breakfast. Stored our luggage for several days while we made a side trip across the Adriatic. Very good value for the money. This will be our regular "home" when visiting Rome from now on.

Loredana and Giovana were gorgeous. They were immediately warm and welcoming. The lobby and breakfast area very nice. The courtyard where every guest must pass through to reach their room was a mess of scaffolding. But no work was happening. Our room was spotless but very tired. Bathroom badly needed refurbishment but was clean. The towels were very thin and hard. Nowhere in the shower area to place your soap or shampoo, and you stood up to your ankles in the water as it was slow to drain away. We appreciated the bar fridge and kettle. We could hear the conversations of the people in the next room, and every time a person closed the door it made our door rattle. In brief, the room and bathroom needs money spent on it, but were clean. The staff are gorgeous. Location excellent. For 130 euro a night and 100% occupancy I believe they should spend some of their profits on upgrading a little.

The location near the Termini is excellent for getting to local transportation. There are reasonably priced restaurants near by. A laudromat is across the street. Internet cafes are nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet had a great variety and selection. The breakfast room is a good size and has a pleasant decor. Bedding was comfortable. As a single traveler the location within a courtyard provides a secure feeling. There is a safe in the room for your convenience. I would definitely recommend as a great value and a welcoming atmosphere.

We spent the last night of our trip to Italy at Giovanna's B&B - and I have to say that we couldn't have had a more welcoming or gracious hostess. Giovy is the BEST when it comes to making one's stay that much more enjoyable. She has a good sense of humor - and she uses it! She recommended restaurants (good ones!) in the area, she made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival and as we were getting ready to depart for the airport. I can only commend her on how well she runs this property!!

If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place to stay. Giovanna makes you feel like family, which is a comfort after a long day of sightseeing. She even gave us breakfast an hour before it normally opens because we had a 7:30 AM Vatican private tour. I can't say enough about her ... she's the Best!! While some many not care for the location, we always felt totally safe walking both early and late at night and it's the most convenient for all modes of public transportation. There's a great restaurant right across the street and several others real close ... ask Giovanna for recommendations. Also, check out the little jewelry store right next door for some great buys.

We stayed in this hotel from July 31st to August 6th 2011. It is very nice place indeed. It is just about 15 minutes walk to Coliseum, 3 minutes to St. Maria Majore and 5 minutes to Rome central train station, metro as well as bus terminal. Surprisingly, our room was very quiet, may be because our windows opened on the small backyard-garden with a little pool full of nice fishes. The windows have double-layer glass in frames, so other rooms must be quiet as well. Room amenities included cattle with nice mixture of tea/coffee/sugar, air conditioner, little fridge without these annoying pre-loaded bar bottles, so you do not have to empty it first before putting your own staff in :-) By the way, couple of supermarkets are just around the corner. Also a TV, but you can control it only by buttons on its case. But now I’ve learned to carry with me couple of fresh AA and AAA batteries to put them to remote controls while staying in hotels, it happened in 3 hotels out of 4 in this trip :-) Free Wi-Fi may not be reachable in all rooms, sometimes we have to go to the lobby. The water flow, both for cold and hot water was excellent (I’ve seen some complains about it in feedbacks before, it looks like now it is fixed). Yes, I can admit that towels were like sand paper, though were replaced every day as well as bed linen. The breakfast was OK, no varieties though as in most of hotels. Cappuccinos were good indeed!!! But the very best of this place is the family that runs this hotel. Extremely friendly, ready to give advice about any aspect of stay in Rome. Giovanna, one of the sisters, can shock you sometimes ... ones we arrived she grabbed one of our cases (15 kg) and carried it all the way to the room on the 2 floor!!! The whole environment was rather family one, homey, we were even given separate key to access the backyard from the street so we could walking in and out all around the clock without disturbing reception. I would definitely stay in this place again!!!

Giovanna, our hostess was so very friendly & helpful and made our stay so much nicer. The buffet breakfast was great(fruit, yogurt, cereal, wonderful pastries and the best cappucino)! Our room, located off a quiet courtyard & gardens, was large with a fridge and comfortable beds. I travel in Europe for 2 months every year and would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked with Giovy based on online reviews, and were not disappointed. Giovanna's vivacious and charming personality sets the tone for her establishment. Everyone was so welcoming, helpful and congenial; just delightful. Our room was spacious, attractive, spotlessly clean and, thanks to triple-paned windows overlooking the courtyard, surprisingly quiet for this busy part of town. The hotel is very conveniently located just a couple of blocks from Termini Station, which is good news for getting around but means you are basically in "tourist town" among many other travelers. Giovanna and her sister gave us great advice for getting off the beaten track, recommending nearby tratorria (do not miss Cecio or Leonetti--both outstanding), shopping, and transit options. If you are looking for a high-end luxury hotel, B&B Giovy is probably not for you. But if you want comfort, a great location, a reasonable price and an absolutely charming hostess and staff, you can't do any better than Giovy. Thank you, Giovanna, for a wonderful stay!

This was a nice place for a stay near Termini, better than several others we have stayed in previously. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was good - many breads, pastries, cereals, yogurt. Good cappucino. The room was adequate in size, and quiet, not always the case in this area of Rome. Not cheap at 90 Euro per night, but that's mostly a problem with the exchange rate for the US dollar.

Great host and location. We were there for a long weekend so only had 3 days and the location was great for getting around. We mainly walked and saw everything we had marked in our guide book. It meant very little sleep to fit it all in, but it was worth it. Giovy is only a 20 minutes walk to Colosseum, which must be seen at night as well as daytime, 5 minute walk to the Metro Station, provided you don't go via the main line station! If you prefer tea, get used to coffee as their milk is very strange! Tip for Vatican Tour, get there early, and there are people with ongoing reservations to get into the Vatican,so they can get you in without queuing for very long, and will take you on a tour. They will approach you whilst you queue and offer their service. We had a great tour guide for 25 Euros lasting 2 hours, but beware, some may not be real. The Roma Pass is excellent value if you use it. Free travel on public transport for 3 days and 2 free entries into Museums/archaeological sites and then a discount on entry from your 3rd site on. It cost 25 euro. Enjoy your stay in Roma we did!!

This is a really friendly place, located handily for the station and buses, not to mention the rest of the city centre. Joanna (Giovy) is an absolute star, making everyone feel like an old friend - breakfast was like theatre. It is an impeccably clean and comfortable room for a reasonable price in what is an expensive city. There are plenty of restaurants around, but some seemed a bit touristy; far better to walk a bit, or use the bus to get into the centro storico - it's all perfectly easy. For a (rare) cheaper place to eat and drink, try Trastavere just over the river, which has a great atmosphere.

A stay at the Giovy is a wonderful experience. Given that you enter from the street through a locked entrance, cross a courtyard, and then enter the bed & breakfast you are secure, and are able to experience the flavor of actually living in Rome. Because of its proximity to Termini Station, getting aroung Rome is easy and convenient, especially with the assistance of Giovanna. The rooms at the B&B are spacious, and have been recently renovated. They contain all the amenities, and are exceptionally clean. The provided breakfast is outstanding, and includes made to order cappuccino. The true jewel of the Giovy, however, is Giovanna herself. From the warm welcome into her home, to the morning breakfast hug, to the consistant and outstanding care that she provides, your stay will be made unique by her presence. If you want to live like a local and experience Giovanna's wonderful heart, you must stay at the Giovy. You will not be disappointed. We will return.

Govy is GREAT! Good location, new rooms, excellent breakfast, good value for the price. And best of all is GIOVANNA! She cares about every guest, remembers you on your next visit, gives take-away breakfast if you have an early flight, calls taxis, DOES EVERYTHING TO MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME AND SPECIAL. This is my favorite place to stay in Rome. I STRONGLY recommend it.

Very hospitable and welcoming. Bed was extremely comfortable after a days travel. Breakfast was a great start to each day and the proximity to Termini station is very good. Lots of eateries near by and we felt safe in the surrounding streets at night.

We were welcomed as if we were long lost relatives which was a great way to begin our Italian vacation. Giovanna couldn't be sweeter and more helpful. This is good value for the money. We were so busy sightseeing we didn't spend much time in the room but is was clean and met our needs.

We loved our time at Giovy, Giovanna and Julia made our stay very enjoyable and treated us like family. The location was excellent being so close to the station and within walking distance to all major sights. We would stay again if possible and would recommend to anyone visiting Rome.

Giovanna is the most gracious host and is the reason I would return (and because she made the very best cappuccino I had on my whole 2 week trip). The breakfast was healthy, wholesome and tasty. I appreciated the extra care Giovanna took to do whatever she could to make my very brief stay perfect.

We were very pleased with our stay at Town House Suite Giovy. Giovanna goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. She is a gracious hostess. We walked all over and felt very safe - even at night. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Rome.

It has been the best holiday ever for us. In the most beautiful city of europe. The stay was perfect and Giovy is such a warm and friendly person. She knew what time about we would arrive on the airport so she was waiting in time outside her B&B to welcome us. That felt so good. We miss the breakfast, we miss our room, we miss Rome, we miss Giovy. As a critical traveller I can only say: it has been perfect!

wonderful place! Giovy is really great, nice person and she's very professional too, the B&B was nice, very clean, near to station and in just 15 minutes by feet you can reach the most popular monuments like fontana di trevi, pantheon, piazza navona, musei capitolini ecc...

Giovy house is certainly all it is cracked up to be. Rooms are clean and relatively spacious, bathrooms are clean totally adequate, and breakfast is plentiful and tasty. The real perk about Giovy house is Giovanna herself who is truly a genuinely wonderful lady. She will answer any question you have and consistently provides you little surprises that are excellent. The box of cookies she gave us turned into my breakfast on the go during some hasty traveling days in Italy! Absolutely recommended. Never felt at risk in the area either.

I have to admit I was concerned when I arrived since this is a busy street and you almost miss the entrance of the B & B. I was expecting a "house" and got the feeling this was a hostal more than a B & B. BUT once I was welcomed by Giovana with her great smile and warm approach, I knew I was in good hands. She escorted us to our room which was in the 3rd floor of an apt building with more than one B&B and the room was clean and spacious enough for both of us. Minimum furniture and no extras, but it was fine for us since we wanted to experience a B&B and after a day walking in Rome, all we needed was a clean room and a hot shower. The breakfast was enough and a great capuchino Giovy prepares! The location is within 2 blocks from train station if you don't mind wheeling your suitecases in a very busy street, it was ok with us. Good exp overall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Giovy. Giovanna was a fantastic hostess and person. She made us feel like part of the family. She treated us with delicious cappuccinos and blood orange juice with breakfast each morning. The location was very close to the train station and not far from the tour bus pickup location. The restaurant across the street was excellent (name was Ceros?). Rooms were clean and typical european. We had no complaints! We loved it and will definitely stay there again!

The Giovy was super convenient to everything being a just couple of blocks from the termini station. Giovanna, the host, is amazing! She's so warm, friendly and accommodating. She will do anything to help you. We just loved her! From the minute we arrived which was around 10:30am, Giovanna fed us and made sure we had some idea of where we were and were to eat, etc. We felt very welcomed by her. The place itself is very cool looking with it's old world charm, not fancy but very comfortable. You almost feel like you are living like a native Roman which I liked a lot. It was super hot in Rome so the first night we slept with the windows opened. There was some street noise so the next night we figured out how to use the a/c and closed the window. It was completely quiet and we slept great. Giovanna is a peach and I would definitely stay with her again. Her kindness really makes a big difference when you are visiting a foreign city for the first time.

Our stay in Rome was amazing. We were treated like family. We were overwhelmed with the wonderful treatment we received from Giovanna. We had the best Espresso and Cuppichino. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast of pastry, yogurt and a fresh fruit which was delightful. The rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable, bathroom very clean, we had all we needed. Air conditioning in room was also excellent. Thank you so much for everything. When I return to Rome, I will make sure I stay at your B&B again. Karen

We recently stayed at Giovy while visiting Rome for 3 days. We had lovely time there! The room was clean and comfortable and the B&B was in a great location to access all the attractions. Most of all, the owner Giovanna was so welcoming! She greeted us with warmth every morning for breakfast and went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. The hotel also stocks a variety of guide books and maps, which was great for us as we were a little unprepared. I would definitely recommend this B&B if you are looking for a basic, clean accomodation while in Rome.

This is a very nice Bed and Breakfast, although it is a bit difficult to find because there are so many B&B's located in the same building. It is very walkable to Termini train station and to the metro which is very easy to use even though for a city the size of Rome is limited. You won't find a nicer hostess in my opinion any place else in Rome

While the property was fine and as described, the hospitality of the hosts was extraordinary, and they truly made us feel like family. It's a family-run operation, we mostly interacted with Giovanna's sister and her daughters. The property is growing, and there are plans for a larger reception area, nicer breakfast room, etc. It's a fine location for exploring Rome, since we like to walk. For those who don't, it's close to the train station / metro. At the time we stayed, payment for the rooms needed to be in cash, although that wasn't explicitly stated in our correspondence. But it was made very clear once we arrived.
