At the time for our stay there where about 42 degree celcius in Rome and in a heat like that the distance to the subway is too long. There is not much to see in the area where the hotel is located soo the trip to the citycenter is a must. Be aware that the subway closes early in the evening in Rome, so after 9 pm it is difficult to get from the city to the hotel. We recomend paying the charge for parking. We parked in the small road behind the hotel where there is no charge but had a break-in!! The hotel is very nice and the staff very helpful but the location is not that great.

Not well located for a leisure trip but very good price/quality rate.

The hotel is good, clean and new, but is not easy to access and to find. The staff should be a little bit more flexible at the hour when the clients have to leave the hotel and about the visits to the clients. Anyway, my oppinion is good and I recomend this hotel in Rome; the relation between pice and quality is high.

Hotel Aureliano is located a good 20 minutes walk from the nearest Metro station along a very busy road. Buses are available but fairly infrequent. Our main concern here was that they charged us an additional 15 euros per night to park the car in the yard at the back. This extra cost was not clearly mentioned on the website and we would probably have booked a different hotel when considering this point. When mentioning it to the receptionist she was fairly antagonistic and implied as we were having the "cheap Venere price" they needed to make more money out of us. We paid 80 euros per night. Also when using the internet the other receptionist was less than helpful refusing to print out our hotel voucher for the next day. A shame because the breakfast was good and the room was comfortable.

The Hotel was good and it was very clean. But it was bit far away from the underground Metro station. We had to take a bus to reach the Hotel from the Metro station.the staff was Ok but were not proactive enough to give the required information. They have charged 20 Euros extra for a two and Half years old kid with no extra bed which they did not mention in the website. The breakfast was good.

My wife and myself had a wonderful holiday in Rome.We went there to see the sights and visit the Vatican museum. The hotel was convienent for all of our interests,as the metro was only a short walk.A metro map would be useful for guests. We had one downloaded from my pc. The bus is also handy. We found no problem with transport to the various sights. The breakfast at the hotel was good. We did not find the resturants near the hotel very good, but adequate for our stay. Overall we had a very pleasant trip and enjoyed our stay at Aureliano Hotel.

We really enjoyed our time in Rome and will definitely be back. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but public transport is only a few minute walk away. Although I would not recommend walking it at night due to the crazy drivers and narrow sidewalks. However a taxi was only 11 Euro from the center of town to the hotel. As long as they are not on strike like they were the day we arrived. The staff at the hotel was very knowledgeable and helpful, except for the fact that we had asked for no service on our room, and they serviced it any way, which as I am sure you can imagine is not the worst thing in the world. The room was very comfortable and clean. There is a really nice pizzeria just outside the hotel to the left and across the street.

Quality of facility very good. Breakfast provision excellent. Staff very friendly. Location suited my purposes at this time. In future my use would depend on proximity to meeting venues.

good business hotel, if you travel as a turist I will suggest the area of Trastevere or Testaccio, much more "inside" the real Roman life but overall Hotel Aurealiano is a good choice. Exceptional cleanliness of rooms and really nice people working there

A most pleasant place to stay. Good value for price paid. Being far away from the center, not convenient for a longer stay. We stayed only 2 days in Rome so it was not a problem for us. Simone in reception was wonderful and most helpful. Overall we recommend this hotel, and would stay again when being remote from Rome center is not an issue.

Everything which was offered, was supplied. No tricks on this hotel. Very nice option, very well located, clean and safe. For sure I will stay here on my next visit to Rome. The only thing that they have to improve is the internet use, since they sell to you two or three hours cards, that you have to pay in advance on the Reception, but actually you are supplied and can use only like 50% of what you bought. (I believe is a third party supplier)

It´s a very nice hotel, clean and completely new. It´s a little far from the center but very well comunicated by tube and buses. It is better than those in the center and breakfast is great. The employees are very nice and helpful.

We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights in March-April 2005. The hotel is new and clean. It is located about 15 minutes of drving from the center of Rome. The rooms are clean. However, services were extremely bad. On the second day we found out the beddings were not changed. When inquired we were told they were doing it once in 4 days. The air conditioner was not working (the season had not started yet). You could not breath in the room, but when you open the window, street noises would not let you sleep. Via Aurelia is a very busy street (4 lanes of traffic). We had a small travel iron. The next day it was missing. At the reception they told us that since ironing was illegal in hotel rooms in Italy, they confiscated it!! Clearly, in our opinion, this is not a 4 star hotel (we travelled all over Europe)and as it concerns to service, we do not recommend it to anyone.

Although the hotel is a little outside of the center city we had no problems to reach downtown within 20-25 minutes by bus/metro. Travellers who stay just 1 or 2 days should maybe choose an accomodation more downtown. The hotel is brandnew so a positive surprise for all who know the general hotel situation in Rome (often old buildings). Also the breakfast has to be mentioned positively. To able to choose from cheese, ham, eggs, fruits, joghurt and different kinds of bred is also not usual for hotels in Rome in the price category (usually croissants and bad coffee). The staff was ok, although some people at the reception have still potential to work on their attitude...(but maybe that is just the Italian metality) Negative point: All rooms are provided with ash-trays so there are no special non-smoking rooms (we smaeeled that when we entered our room). Total review: Strongly recommended for business people and for private travellers.
