The staff at the reception was excellent. But the person risponsable for the cleanliness didn't understand the italian or the english language, and also at the breakfast room. The only negative point was the low quality of the products at the breakfast, like milk (strange smell), coffee and the juice (from machine) , non d' accordo with the prize of the room (230 euros on 31 Dicembre)! We are mother and daughter, we are italian but we live in San Paolo

We were very pleased with the hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly. The breakfast was huge and had more then enough for both of our tastes. The room was lovely. Clean and well preserved. Only 2 blocks from the Termini Station. The hotel is ideally located.

Location is close to train but a good hike to center of town, but that was reflected in the room rate. Front desk was not super friendly

This hotel is within easy suitcase wheeling distance from Termini. the room was spacious, elegant, comfortable and quiet. The price was very reasonable. There were several bars and cafes close by. Metro was convenient but the bus service to Trastevere on a Sunday night was terrible. My only regret - the hotel was completely booked up for a tentatively planned return 2 weeks later.

Impeccable place to stay and very near termini I would highly recommend this hotel and I wish we could have staid longer but we had a cruise waiting for us. Room space is somewhat limited Anyone can easily visit antique Rome using local buses from the termini station

Nice hotel in a small street near Termini with good and inexpensive restaurants near by such as restaurant Europe on the other side of street. Room were very clean. Breakfast was ok, only the breakfast coffee was horrible.

Our room was ENORMOUS and very, very clean! The one window looked out on to a maintenance courtyard, so not much to say for the view. But who cares! The bathroom was lovely also, and very big, tub with jacuzzi. The location is excellent. The staff was cordial and compentent. For that price in that area, for such a huge room, it was a great deal!

Me and my wife took some days in Rome. The Hotel is perfectlly located near the Termini train station (direct link to Fiumicino Airport) and 100m from the subway. The rooms are small but very clean. I recomend this Hotel for short stays in Rome.

Stayed 3 nights in Dec 09. For first-timer in Rome, it's not easy to find the hotel, though it's just 300m away. Need a better map and direction to get there. Otherwise, a pretty good hotel.

This hotel is located within walking distance from Termini and Repubblica. It is the ideal area to discover all of Rome from. Taking a bus or the metro to the Vatican from Termini is the only thing you will need to do since everything else is walkable from the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean, in a good neighbourhood filled with other hotels, have competent staff. The best part was the cleanliness of the rooms and bathroom! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel is very close to Termini Station, it's less than 10 minutes walk (with luggage). Room was clean and had a decent size, breakfast was good. It had an LCD TV, which was good, but it was mounted far away on the wall left to the bed and it was fixed facing the other wall, not the bed.

The hotel doesn't look exactly like a four star, however my room on level 5 was spot on - great attention to details and well designed. The location is also quite convenient, with walking distance to main attractions. I've found the public transport system in Rome can't really match other European cities i.e. London, Paris and Barcelona. So location is above anything else comes to choosing hotels. Augusta certainly exceeded my expectation.

I was very pleased with this hotel. They accomodated my request for a room with a view and the room was very nice. The price ($90 euro) was excellent for Rome. I would stay there again.

One of the front desk staff is arrogant and impolite. Staff responded to request slowly. We arrived at the hotel in the morning and stored our luggages in the front desk. We checked in in the afternoon and the front desk staff said they would deliver our luggages to our room. However, our luggages were only delivered over an hour later, upon our repeated requests. The double bed room is so small that there is little space round the bed for us to open our luggages. Quality is not proportional to the price charged.

A fabulous hotel. Although the hotel itself have rated their property 4-stars, it is more a 2 or maybe a 2+ star hotel. Comparable to a newer Comfort Inn type property by US standards. The hotel staff and front desk very polite, spoke fluent english and seemed to remember the guest's room numbers and guest special requests, etc. Their attention to detail and the cleanliness of the rooms and extra "cold" A/C in the room made it a very comfortable stay for our family (we traveled with 2 children ages 3, 7). They gave us an extra bed, in addition to our king bed and we only paid EUR 120/nt for our 3 night stay. Maybe moderatly more expensive than comparable USA hotels of similar quality, but considering that we were in Rome, and were 10 minutes walk away from the main train station, we did not mind it. Also, the hotel did not try to nicel & dime us with extra charges, which we appreciated. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Wonderful hotel. Great location for the buses and the metro. We were there for four days during a heat wave and used the transportation often. The room was large with lots of amenities, nice and quiet, and the air conditioning worked extremely well. The breakfasts were very generous and offered a larger than normal variety of items. We would recommend this to friends and would certainly stay again.

Good location, about 5’ nearby Terminus (train station, subway, bus station), clean and spacious room, much more quiet than I was expecting to be (because of other reviews), very effective A/C. I would come back anytime… especially if I have again such an excellent deal like that one made through Venere, due to a last minute (substantial) price reduction. The only minus for a 4* hotel: there are no fresh fruits and vegetables to the breakfast and the cheese assortment is rather poor. However, you can have plenty of food, so this is not an issue for a couple of days.

It would have been nice to have a coffee/tea service in room, when the tv was on in the next room it could be heard. We went to get a drink at the bar and a girl from the kitchen staff came over, walked around boxes and asked what we wanted to drink. She had to ask how to make a Gin and Tonic...if you offer a bar you should have someone there that knows how to make a drink, good thing it was not complicated. She served chips that were stale as well. On the list as travelled..there is not a listing for a couple..early 40's is not a young couple nor a mature couple.. just a couple. Otherwise, it was a nice stay, nicely located, very very clean, nice staff and very helpful.

Room excellent. Clean & well appointed. One minor irritation was that we stayed for 5 days and when the box of tissues ran out it was not replaced. Staff very helpful though. Only weak point was breakfast where the coffee was from an urn and a bit like treacle. An espresso or americano would have been nice. Close to rail, Metro & bus at Termini - 2 mins walk.

The room was very clean and bigger than we'd expected. Breakfast was not so bad. Though only american coffee or tea were in the server. They will serve you cappuccino or espresso on request.(I really love cappuccino!) This hotel is located near the Termini station. But I think it's another choice to choose hotels near by other metro stations. Because there are big streets and it is a bother to walk across the area around the Termini station.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, quiet area but safe, perfect location only 2 minutes walk from Termini Realway Station, also 2 minutes walk to the bus terminal and Metro, so you can reach everywhere in Rome. The hotel was clean and comfortable, great value for the money, breakfast was very good, I would highly recommend this hotel and I would book this hotel again if I travel to Rome.

Stayed at the Augusta Lucilla Palace Hotel for two nights at the start and end of a holiday-cruise in Italy and the Greek Isles. The hotel was first rate. The rooms were very fresh and modern. The buffet breakfast was very good with an exceptional selection of foods. The only problem we could find was that the scrambled eggs were cold in the serving tray. The hotel was in the process of putting in a small bar area off the lobby and it should be ready in a couple of weeks. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel and in recommending it to anyone.

This was our first trip to Rome and we did extensive research in finding a hotel for our 3-night stay. We chose this hotel because it was new, the rooms were spacious and it was close to Termini. The Augusta Lucilla Palace did not disappoint. Our room was on the corner and quite large - very clean with modern furnishings. The "king-size" bed was a touch short and quite firm, but my 6'4" husband settled for having his feet hang off the end. The individual room air conditioning was EXCELLENT. After two very busy, hot days touring Roma in early September, our room felt great! The bathroom was new, clean, and a good size(especially for Europe). The continental breakfast spread seemed standard for Italy, but with no warm offerings. Service was attentive. Internet access was steep, so we didn't use it. Might have been nice to have, but we were OK without. The TV was small but we never turned it on - too much to see and do outside the room! The tiled hallway was a little noisy, but we only heard a few doors closing in the late evening, not during the night. However, we are sure our neighbors "appreciated" us rolling our bags down the hallway at 6 in the morning when we left. :) Location, location, location! Just two short blocks from the Termini, we LOVED the quick access to the metro, busses and train - all easy to use in Rome. In the late evening, when we returned to our room, we'd open the window for a bit and listen to the music and singing from the trattorias around the corner. Nice touch. We would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves on another trip to Rome - maybe my husband's company will find more work for him to do in Italy. :)

Hotel excelente, limpio y confortable.

We were impressed with the hotel interior and helpful staffs but quite disappointed with the room given to us was handicapped friendly room. The shower room are not covered with shower screen or even a curtain. The whole bathroom was so wet after each shower. Anyway, we checked on the room next door and found the normal room is well equipped and elegantly decorated. We will return n stay in this hotel again but please do not let us stay in the handicap room again. :) The Restaurant down the road gave us the best ever Spaghetti Alla Vongole we ever had. Must try and price is cheap.
