Good location and fabulous view from restaurant but that's it. Entire hotel smelled old. We could hear next door talking and having sex since thin walls. No tooth blushes, no hair conditioner, no body lotion, no face & hand towels, no tissues. no coffee. Hotel wanted us to use a pillow cases linen as face towels. Very small room.

Roof garden closed AGAIN! Property could be a little more forthcoming on the rooftop as they feature it prominently in their marketing. Quite a mildew problem in the bathroom.

We were never told that the roof garden would not be open until the end of August. That was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The information was different depending on what employee you spoke with. Thought it was overpriced.

Good breakfast buffet, although complete choice of hot dishes not always available. Excellent vatican views. Complimentary pick up at the airport in van. But cost of transfer to airport when leaving hotel more expensive (60 euros) and unconfortable than official taxi fare (40 euros).

Our stay at the Atlante Star was excellent. Staff were most helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Views were excellent both from the hotel room and the restaurant, the breakfast excellent, shame the roof garden was closed for works, but it didn't spoil our stay. We shall just have to come back to experience it. Location was excellent - We can highly recommend it and will most definately be telling our friends about it.

We arrived after having to take an expensive cab from the airport when we were expecting to be met. (to be fair we were held up because of lost luggage claim, so the driver may have given up) We were switched to the sister property, Atlante Garden nearby. It is not as nice as the original property we booked. There was a problem with paving a road outside given as the reason for the switch. So, although they were very organized and somewhat responsive as when we asked for a discount on the price, there were dissatisfactions with our stay. The hotel dining room on the top floor is excellent although the outside roof terrrace is currently closed for renovation.

The staff, location and stay at the Atlante Star was fantastic. I highly recommend it to travelers who want to be central to shopping, dining, and scenic Rome. Located close to the Tibur the evening walks and sunsets are priceless.

This was our second time staying at the Atlante Star. It has now become our planned place to stay when we visit Rome. When it was not available last time we stayed at its sister hotel Atlante Garden. They look after their clients well.

A bit expensive, but nonetheless, our twin room was quite luxurious and spacious. It was warm in mid May, and we needed to leave the windows open at night. There were the usual sounds of local urban Italian life- babies crying, children playing, and dogs barking from adjoining apartments which share a common central courtyard- this may or may not bother you, depending upon whether or not you normally live in an urban environment. When the shutters and windows are shut, it is very quiet. Close proximity to the Vatican, but location not ideal for surroundings and other conveniences in comparison to the Trevi Fountain and Campo areas. Breakfast was just adequate. Staff was friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

If anything the roome were the BIG disappointment. Much smaller than would appear in the photographs provided on the site. However the rooftop terrace made up for any problems.

A very comfortable hotel located just a short five minute walk from The Vatican museums and St. Peter's. Also, very convenient to many of Rome's main attractions. Subway is only a ten minute walk. Included breakfast daily was a plus. Great view of St. Peter's from the restaurants.

Very disappointed with the hotel. Advertised roof garden as key point but garden was closed for repairs and no allowance for this was made on the room rate. Staff were aloof and made mistakes with evening meal reservations for which no apology was offered. Staff spent more time shouting at each other with no respect for their guests requirements.

This was the most expensive hotel on our stay throughout Italy & we received the poorest service - Room was on 1st floor opening to main street, tub was broken, tv didn't work and reknowned "roof top garden & buffet w/ view" (reason for hotel choice) was closed for construction - this was not communicated on the site. Indicated broken items to hotel front desk both days - no repairs & 2 personal items missing from room on 2nd day - only 1 returned - would not recommend

THIS WAS OUR SECOND STAY AT THE HOTEL IN 12 MONTHS. WE RETURNED WITH OUR FAMILY BECAUSE OF THE GREAT SERVICE WE RECEIVED LAST NOV. AND AGAIN THIS NOV. THE HOTEL STAFF COULDN'T OF BEEN MORE HELPFUL, PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL AND WHICH EXTENDED THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED. THE SHUTTLE WAS RIGHT ON TIME, THE ROOMS PREPARED EARLY, AND WE WERE WELCOMED WITH A FRUIT BASKET AND WINE AT OUR REQUEST, WHICH THEY ALTERNATIVELY DIDN'T CHARGE US FOR. THE MANAGERS AND FRONT DESK WERE VERY HELPFUL IN SELECTING A WONDERFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE GUIDE FOR US THAT WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND. (GIOVONNI) OUR ROOMS WERE EXLACTLY AS THEY HAD REPORTED, NICELY FURNISHED, CLEAN AND SOME ANTIQUES.BETTER APPOINTED BATH ROOMS THAN AVERAGE IN ROME. EVEN THOUGH ONE OF OUR ROOMS WAS FACING THE SIDE STREET, WE HAD LITTLE IF ANY NOISE AND ENJOYED WATCHING FROM THE BALCONY THE INTERESTING GOINGS ON, ON THE STREET.OUR MEALS WERE ABOVE AVERAGE FOR BREAKFAST, AS THEY OFFER MORE THAN THE NORM FOR A EUROPEAN BREAKFAST, AND THE DINNER MEALS WERE SUPERB WITH ATMOSPHERE AND THE VIEWS OF ST. PETERS A WONDERFUL PLUS.THE TERRACE IS VERY ROMANTIC AND UNBELIEVABLE VIEWS OF THE CITY! WE FOUND THE QUALITY OF THE MEALS WERE AT EXCELLENT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. THE ROOM RATES WERE VERY REASONABLE FOR THE QUALITY AND LOCATION THAT THE HOTEL HAS TO OFFER. OUR FRIENDS STAYED AT A HOTEL AT THE SPANISH STEPS AND PAID 3 TIMES WHAT WE PAID FOR AND HAD NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT THEIR STAY THERE. THEY ACTUALLY PREFERRED OUR LOCATION AND LACK OF NOISE.THIS IS A WONDERFUL FAMILY OWNED HOTEL WITH MANY of THEIR STAFF WORKING THERE FOR SOME 20 YEARS AND MORE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A INTIMATE HOTEL WITH WONDERFUL AND CARING STAFF WITH A FANTASTIC LOCATION AND MEALS, YOU WILL ENJOY THE ATLANTE STAR.WE WILL ALWAYS STAY THERE WHILE IN ROME AND LOOK FORWARD ON SEEING THE STAFF ON OUR NEXT RETURN. ENJOY, DIANA RECCHIO, MALIBU, CA. USA

From the photo's & text on the website we were expecting a bit of luxery. But the rooms were barely bigger than the bed & shabby. We changed room 3 time we were so unhappy; the final straw - the 3rd room had only a shower & the bed linen stank of smoke. We were, after much protest offered a room in their sister hotel nearby; this room was huge & cheaper! Atlante Star needs a good refurbishemnt but the rooms are too small to justify the very high prices.

The room looked a bit tired and scruffy considering what we were paying for our stay. The toilet seat was broken, the shower leaked and the mini bar fridge wasn't very effective (we felt it warmed up our son's milk rather than cooled it down).

On arrival we (3Adults) were given a very small(supposedly 3 bedded room) triple room, with the official tourist form in the room stating it to be a 2 bedded room! The following day we were given a triple room that was very good and what you would expect for 3 adults! Service at the hotel was good, need to stay at the rear of the hotel to get the quieter rooms, buffet breakfast very good, plenty of choices and fresh produce on display.

The room I stayed in was nothing like that shown on the website; the traffic noise from the street below was intolerable and the view was non-existent. The only saving grace is the view from "Les Etoiles" restaurant. However, you should get up early for breakfast else the (hot) food is all gone! Overall thoroughly disappointing, not good value for money and certainly not up to 4 star standards. That said, the hotel staff are extremely friendly and most helpful.

Free pick up service from the aiport is discussing, we've been waiting 2h20m for a driver. Rooms are very small, bathrooms terrible. At the check out they couldn't print our bill because of a computer problem and they ask us to leave our credit card's info without any receipt. We wrote down the statement that we paid everything in full and a receptionist signed it. Only location is OK.

I was completely disappointed in the quality of the room for the price they were asking.I felt completely let down to the point that i refused to stay in the Hotel and move on. The web page was totally misleading, the pictures displayed on the web show large room well decorated room i found that not to be the case. The staff where not very helpfull when i complained about the size of the room and only said that they could move me on Monday to a better room,it was then Friday. Overall i will think twice about booking on-line again due to the fact of the misleading representation of hotels.

The hotel is located very well for visits to the Vatican as well as other areas of the city. The people that work at the hotel are very helpful and seem to respond very well to an American in Rome. The location of Atlante star is rather convenient to go around Rome. The appearance seems to be old but quite comfortable to stay at the room. I cannot judge room rate 175 Euro is expensive or not, as I have not stayed at other hotels in Rome. Transportation service from Rome airport offered by the hotel is useful and economical(free of charge) , if you are not urged.(We were forced to wait the car for more than one hour at the airport.)

Atlante Star was our first stop of our 3 week visit to Italy. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip and returned 2 1/2 weeks later to end our stay. Both times we were welcomed warmly by all of the staff. The rooms can be a bit tight but the views from the rooms and the resturant certainly make up for it. Be patient with the elevator. There is only one and it does take it's time. The stairs are sometimes faster. The breakfast served each morning is outstanding. The staff was readily available to make reservations for touring and gave excellent advise as to where to go for dinner. It's location is perfect. It is within walking distance to Vatican City. Our stay was most enjoyable and we would recommend it highly.

My wife had had allergic disease, rhinitis and bronchial asthma, but this ten years she has no problem. When we stay at your hotel, she got sick, rhinitis and light bronchial asthma. I doubt our room was dusty, specially under bed, around the air conditioner. Around your hotel, and in front of your hotel, it was dirty. Please take care of cleaning. But we were happy in Roma by the Japanese staff of your hotel. I hope your hotel make an effort to keep the authority by Michelan, and to be got stay at your hotel every time.
