It is a five-floor building and on each floor there are little hotels. The location is comfortable, not far from the most interesting places. The room is not bad, but you can hear very perfect when each neibor goes in/out rooms. Probably they need a carpet in corridor.

The hotel is only a few blocks from the train station. We have stayed in this building before but not in this particular hotel before. The room was fine and quiet. There is a lift since we were on the 5th floor. A breakfast was provided in the price. A great place to base yourself out of Rome with it being near the train and metro.

Excellent hotel near Termini. Clean rooms. Stayed in a single room with a bathroom nearly as large as sleeping room. Best bathroom in Rome, I am sure! Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of eateries near hotel. Hotel within easy walking distance of sites in Rome (Roman Forum, Vatican, Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, P. Navona, etc.) ; or, if you prefer public transport, Termini offers easly access to bus and metro. Hotel was very clean. Would stay here again. Hotel is in a buildilng with other hotels and private residences/offices. When trying to find hotel, be sure to look to street number and not large sign for Hotel Argentina.

Hotel Argentina was close enough to Stazione Termini for us to use the bus services and the underground. The Forum was just a short walk away and there was an excellent retaurant (Roberto's) just outside the door. IN three days we were able to visit the Forum, St.Peter's, The Vatican and Trajan's Market with plenty of time to stroll to The Spanish Steps and Via Condotti (etc.) and all the other sights.

I try to stay in a different hotel every time I visit Rome. So far, this hotel is one of th worst by far. First off, I chose it due to its position to the Termini station and that Venere.com says it has an internet connection which I use for business. It does not have an internet connection. The location is close to Termini however the hotel is tucked away in a side alley up 4 flights of stairs. You have a feeling of beig stuck in a tight location before you even get to the room. The room was tiny even compared by Roman standards. The bathroom was falling apart, the room smelled like mildew and the TV was about 9 feet in the air on top of a desk. I am definitely glad I checked in late and only had to spend 8 hours there... I do have to say this isn't the first time Venere.com didn't have their facts straight about hotel amenities.

The room was clean and large for Rome. Great location to walk to termini and get around on the Metro. Great air conditioning, as you were able to turn it on, unlike other hotels who tout A/C and heat. Nice blow dryer and ample bathroom. Unfortunately the bathroom smelled of sewage the whole time. Obviously no traps in the pipes. They blamed it on the rain. Bring perfume with you. Opening the windows did not help as it opened up to a courtyard of apartments with lots of oily foods cooking. I would not stay here again due to the bathroom smelling so vile and the staff lack of knowledge of Rome, even though the gal in the AM was very helpful. We skipped their breakfast every AM, as it was low quality. The counter cafe up the street on the corner had great espresso, pastries, and sandwiches. We ate there every AM. Home made pastries.

The room was very small but it's typical for European Hotels. It's okay for a single traveller. The Hotel is VERY close to Termini so from there, you can get anywhere in the city.

We had a pleasant stay between 19.-24.10.2006 at Hotel Argentina. Personnel was kind, rooms were clean and safe, some noise came mainly from corridors (not outside), breakfast was better than expected and specially kids (12 to 17 years) were treated excellent. The whole process from reserving via Internet (first time) up to payment surprised me in very positive way. Everything was as promised and as agreed. Hotel Argentina locates in good place for both public transportation and your walking. I can recommend.

The hotel is very well located. The rooms are very clean, and the place is very quiet, but I wouldn’t recommend the place if you are traveling in Europe for a while, and if you are planning to stay more then one night in Rome. About the prices, it was our most expensive hotel in Europe and the worst one we have picked in Venere.com The breakfast is very…very simple. People are rude sometimes, and if you need their help to deal with outside matters, they will help you just a little and if you beg a lot for it. The rooms are very small. Our shower was cold at first. Their heating was broken when we checked in, and they didn't tell us until the cold shower was taken. The hotel shares an old building with 2 or 3 more hotels, so you can have an idea how small Argentina is. I don’t recommend this hotel for vacation if you are planning to stay in Rome longer then one day with a family, or as couple. The price is not worthy compared to the quality of the hotel. You can find better hotels for cheaper prices and better service quality; however if you are students traveling in a cheap way, that is the best place to stay without a question!

For my first time in Rome, I was really happy to have found this hotel. I really liked the fact that it was so close to Termini Stazione, as well as the metro stop. The staff was incredibly helpful and gave me great directions and recomendations for near-by restaurants. The breakfast was typical continental breakfast fare, however it was plentiful and good! I was in Rome for a while, so I was happy that there was plenty of space to unpack and make the room feel like my home. My only two complaints are that the wall separating me from the next room seemed paper thin. I heard absolutely EVERYTHING the couple said and did in the room next to mine.

5 minutes from station. lift at hotel small but adequate (amusing). breakfast was adequate for continental standards: included cheese, pate, jams, yogurts and different types of breads. Room at the back over small courtyard but was also quiet. Would use hotel again as it suited our purpose.

Our room was quite spacious but not much of a view. The rest of Rome made up for that however. In fairness all we needed was a place to rest our heads. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the main archeological attractions of rome. If you aren't much of a walker then no fear as the "termini" (local train station) is a stone throw away and also the metro is around the corner. The staff are lovely and very friendly and had no problem helping us to get a taxi to the airport at 7am. If we were to return to Rome we would have no hesitation using Hotel Argentina again.

The hotel is located very near the railway station (very convenient). The room that we had was isolated from the sreet but was not isolated from the other rooms (very noisy!). The equipment of the bathroom was rather poor.

Un vero e proprio albergo romano. Vicino alla stazione, al Coliseo e tutti gli altri posti importanti. Stanza pulita, accoglienza amicabile. No problems. A real Roman hotel, in an old building, close to the station and other major attractions. Clean room, warm welcome. Enjoyed it.

Very good position in relation to Termini bus and metro servies. Also some good restaurants nearby. Could cope with reception being on 4th floor but room on 5th floor was not convenient. Breakfast was miserly and coffee awful.

At 90 euros per night during off season it seemed like a ok price. The room was clean and staff was friendly enough. If you don't mind the slow elevator or walking up 4 flights of stairs this is a good hotel for the money. Location was a plus as well -- being close to the train station and metro. We had a back facing room so it was quiet enough most of the time.

For the price I'd expected something better. Room was clean and spacious, but smell from bath and from outside was a disturbance. The price paid booking by VENERE was the highest I could see in the register of the hotel.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of October 2004. Only 2 blocks from Termini station. Hotel situated on the fourth floor. Very clean, staff excellent. Go for the back facing rooms - much quieter than the front. Good restaurantes around the corner - Europe was the best. V.expensive at 130 euros a night, but that seems to be the rate in Rome.
