Very good. Anyway we had a problem with the charge of visa, because it was duplicated. We think it's the responsability of Venere.com, but we've got problems with our bank from January even. About the hotel we want to say the relation price-quality was very good. The nearby was very interesting for visit Rome by walking. We recommendit!

This hotel location was perfect for visiting the city on foot. We only use the subway to go to the colliseum otherwise everything was very accessible. There are fewer restaurants than other neighborhoods in the immediate surroundings but plenty with 20mn walks. I only wish the hotel would have breakfasts options, for a longer stay it would be a bit of a pain to have to go to a cafe every morning. We booked the non-refundable price which was an amazing value (49 euros), the everyday price is steep. The hotel is 15mn away from the Vatican which was great. the site recommend to get there using the bus from termini however the subway is much easier and less than 10 (tiny) blocks away.

Good hotel for the price and good central quiet location, especially for Vatican City. However no breakfast available & no kettle in room to make tea/coffee. Other downside in our room was a construction of extra sleeping area above bathroom which left lots of steel work around head height in both the bedroom and bedroom. Would suit short people.

For the price, this was a great place to stay in Rome. The room was small, but had very tall ceilings so it didn't feel crunched. The office personnel were very friendly and helpful. It isn't in the middle of the tourist sites, but they are all very accessible. The directions to the hotel could have been better, we got lost several times while trying to find the hotel.

For these prices in Australia one would expect more, both in the room itself (ie: No fridge or coffee) and the public areas. The recption is a small shop front with room for no more than 8 people at a time. Perhaps this is normal in Europe?

Nice clean, quiet, good sized room. Bathroom was bigger than others we had in Italy. Handy to St Peters and Castel St Angelo. Great cafe across the road for that early morning espresso. Would stay here again.

I made the non-refundable reservation through Venere, which states that it's the best possible rate. Then, when I went to the hotel website for directions, I discovered that the same reservation on the hotel website was 5 euro per day less and did not include any fees for cancellation. I contacted Venere and they informed me that it was up to the hotel to enforce the non-refundable reservation (Venere just transfers information back and forth). However, the hotel lied to me about this situation and claimed that it was outside of their control. I wasn't trying to get out of my reservation (after all, I had clicked that it was non-refundable), but, rather, I just wanted to actually receive the best possible rate--8 nights at 5 euros difference per night adds up to something substantial given the weak dollar (about $65). Beyond this, the hotel itself was reasonable, and the location was great, but there were issues: 1) we had to replace a light bulb ourselves 2) the toilet seat cover was broken and could come entirely off, and yet they never fixed it even though we informed them several times 3) the AC kept on getting into a defunct state and we would have to call down to tell them to restart the system 4) house cleaning only works limited hours and so if you don't get out of your room by noon, your room will not be cleaned.

We had a great 3 night stay at this hotel. We reserved a room for 3 adults and got a large room with a queen bed and a twin bed. The staff was very helpful and spoke english well. There was a breakfast cafe right across the street from the hotel where we got our Large coffees and rolls. The hotel surrondings were very safe. There are a few place to eat dinner a few steps away from the hotel. Also, hotel Angel is a quick 5 min. walk to Piazza Navona which is a great place to stroll or people watch in the evening. We went there each night. There is always a variety of things happening there. We would definitly stay at hotel Angel again. The only thing that could have made our stay a little better would have been if the shower was a little bit bigger. I am not real tall(5'3") and not a large person but I found it a little hard to maneuver in the small shower. But this was the hotels only weakness. I didn't mind a small shower area since everything else was just perfect!!!! You will enjoy your stay at this Hotel!

Molto gentili e disponibili 24h/24. Vi daranno appena arrivati, una cartina molto dettagliata con cui è impossibile perdersi. se avete bisogno di altre informazioni sull'hotel o su roma contattatemi all'indirizzo danarzu at email.it

In a great location near main bus routes for getting around the sights in Rome, paritcularly the Vatican. If arriving at Rome Terminii need to know which stop at main bus station to get to Angel. We travelled around Rome easily from Angel Hotel once we settled in. Shower needs refurbishment. Room spacious. We wish we had stayed another night in Rome and would recommend Angel Hotel for its location alone. Check out the bus routes before you go. Buy your tickets at Tabacchi. Have a good time. If travelling with family buy food at delis. We couldn't find the supermarket but there is one somewhere in the nearby Plaza/Piazza.

Great place to stay...very small rooms but when your spending your day wandering around Rome, who is spending time in their room other than to sleep? It's literally minutes to the Vatican and a very close walk to all other points of interest for those who dont mind walking...although it's only a few minutes from a major bus stop. We checked in at night and the night receptionist was very cordial and helpful. OF NOTE...BE CAREFUL...when requesting a "hotel limousine" the driver will NOT be found as you exit your arrival gate with a sign designated "Hotel Angel" or "your last name" as the email from Hotel Angel states...we couldnt find our driver and so we took another cab into the city and the hotel tried to charge us the 54 Euros even though we already spent 60 Euros with another taxi...we found it exasperating how the service industry in Italy constantly tried to squeeze every last cent out of every American they came across...so be careful and don't assume anything...and dont be afraid to say "no" or refuse to pay.

STAY HERE!!!! This hotel was top class, upon arrival, i speak (bad) italian but the front desk spoke quality english and was VERY helpful so dont worry if you dont. The location is amazing for everything, short walks to Piazza Navona, trevi Fountian, Vatican, Spanish Steps and tons of restaurants. Obviously the Roman Forum and Coloseum is further but we walked anyway as theres something to see on every corner in Rome and you dont notice you're walking at all. The room (103) was great we were first floor with double aspect windows which were doble glazed and shuttered. Rome is a working city so dont moan if there is noise outside!!!! The hotel is on a very quiet street but there is some traffic early on and you can hear the odd scooter but WHO CARES! You want to be up early to see the sights anyway. Inside the room was very nicely furnished and not dated at all. Bathroom was nice, clean and adequate in size. Theres a hair dryer and nice towels. TV worked which was fun and bed lovely and comfy. The lift was so cool, like a 1940s old school new york gangster lift! What do i want from a hotel? Nothing it was perfectin every aspect, infact were all ready planning a return. I think you'd get no better if you paid twice as much. My advice, book it up. Oh and if you have kids and are thinking about leaving them at home..dont its a great friendly city even at night.

At 60 euros a night, this hotel was excellent value for money. It was just a 5-10 minute walk to the Vatican and just around the corner from plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. An easy walk to other tourist sites. Very well maintained rooms and informative staff. Don't travel by car - it's impossible to park nearby.

This hotel exceeded our standards for the price we paid. This room was small but perfect and so was the location. We had a room overlooking a courtyard and it was very quiet. The staff at the front office was always very helpful. Walking distance to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountains, all the sites. A wonderful restaurant discovery on our first night was a small restaurant called The Old Bear. Recommend eating there. We did twice. Be sure to take an open air bus tour, it's worth it. The cafes and bars are great. We enjoyed drinking our espressos. This hotel is also within walking distance of the Metro. We arrived at the Fiumicino airport and took the Leonardo DaVinci express train to Termini Station in Rome where we got on the Metro A line to the Spanish Steps station and walked to our hotel. One last thing, we did not have any problems with gypsies or pickpockets! We would definitely stay at The Angel hotel on our next visit to wonderful Roma!!

We stayed at Angel hotel in September, for 3 nights. We are American and not used to the tiny hotel rooms in Europe, but other than its size, it was clean and had adequate facilities. The room faced a courtyard so it was very quiet. The shower was a stall shower, very small. This was one of the few hotels that we didn't have to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs before getting to the reception. The staff was very friendly and courteous answering all of our many questions. One downside is not having breakfast in the hotel, however on our one night back in Rome, we stayed at the sister hotel, Hotel SantAngelo for the same price, with similar rooms but they offered breakfast. Overall, it was adequate, but I might pick another hotel if I had the chance.

The only problem that we had was trying to find the number 70 bus stop to take us to the Piazza Cavour. This bus stop is a little bit down the street on the post office side of the Termini station. We bought weekly bus tickets which were good value and once you get your bearings, you just jump on the bus to save tired legs.

I felt very good initially upon arriving at this property. Check the bus direction from the airport so that you get the most direct route to the property. My problem with this property is that the air conditioning did not work during my entire visit to the property. This problem was acknowledged by the staff but was never actually corrected but merely put off in hopes that it might correct itself. Well.....it didn't and it was extremely uncomfortable. I contacted the manager after leaving and basically was told that everything was fine as far as he knew. I cannot recommend this property to ANYONE based upon my experience.

The Hotel Angel has fantastic helpful, cheerful staff and pristinely clean rooms. The bathrooms are very good, with great towels. By no means a constant in Italy. But stay away from the bathtub shower combination, there are no shower curtains and it is impossible to use the shower without spraying the entire bathroom with water. We changed to a smaller room with a shower cubicle and were much happier. The rooms on the courtyard with the windows shut are perfectly quiet. The problem is that the 'superior rooms' for 170 euros a night, have lofts that were constructed with giant erector sets. The lofts are no longer functional, the stairs to them have been taken out. But the giant erector sets are left in the rooms, including the bathrooms. Anyone over 5'8" is going to hit their heads or hands on these when they move around the room. So in short the price of the 'Superior' rooms have stayed the same but the rooms are in fact 'inferior'. Standard rooms will be a better deal at this hotel if you can get them. The location is great for walking over the river into the old, old section of Rome around Plaza Nuvona and a bit further, 20 minutes, to St. Peter's. There are plenty of local shops and good resturants in the area of the hotel. The pizzeria across the street from the Movie theater two blocks away is really a first class resturant with much more than pizza on the menu, lots of great salads for instance, pasta, Very Reasonable prices. If you continue down that street for five blocks you will come to a bio-gelato store that has every flavor you can hope for and in the back is an entire case of Soy Gelato flavors. Worth the walk and they are open until Midnight. Across the river in the old,old city, cobblestone alleys, hidden piazzas, churches and great little shops, like 'La Fornace' at 136 Via Dei Coronari, www.la-fornace.it, great for unusual glass jewelry, other shops for lamps, antiques, art, etc. A great resturant on the same street i

Taxi driver did not know "Angel Hotel" but we found it. The loft room shown on the web site was not available but a smaller room at the same rate was found. Also, the door off the street and on the floor to the hall of rooms were both broken so there was free access to our hotel room door to anyone who bothered to come in. That said, it was close to St. Peter's, the bus is one block away, many places are close by for walking. Get a Roma pass for the bus and take #87 to the Collesseum.

Best Service, veeerrrry friendly staff! Really great and definitely worth a recommendation for friends and family!nice rooms, clean and excellent location! I would always come back here! Only one negative point:the air quality in the patio is quite bad from a restaurant down on the ground floor. thus in the patio rooms you have to use the air condition and ours was out of order somehow(but as we didn't insist on it being repaired I can not complain!) Staff, you really contributed to our great stay!

We were given a loft room, which was nice because of the very high ceilings. However, the loft itself was not in use and was quite dusty. The room was tastefully decorated; however, our bed appeared to be a fold-out couch with a mattress on it. Nonetheless, it was comfortable. There was some noise from the room next door and the apartment above, but it was manageable. The bathroom and hardwood floors were in excellent condition. The common areas were nice, and the hotel staff was very friendly. The location was great, and the price was very good.

Had a wonderful visit to Rome. Hotel was good value and brilliant location exactly as other reviews had said. Was bit put off at first that hotel is on two separate floors and reception is in a different building, watch out for old fashioned lift. We went room only and found it the best option as were not tied to breakfast times etc. Plenty of lovely restaurants and bars in the area. Am only back and have already recommended hotel to friends. We had an exceptionally big room and were really pleased with the level of cleanliness, rooms cleaned every day and also fresh towels.

It was very good and I would stay in Angel again when I come to Rome. Our only complaint was some noisiness. The heater was noisy so we had to turn it off at night. You can hear some street noise and some corridor noise, but in general it was quieter than other hotels I stayed in in Italy. The location is fantastic: we used public transportation only once to go to the Colosseum, everything else, including Villa Borghese and Trastevere is within a walking distance.

This hotel was a solid 2 star - no amenities but clean and quiet -modern bathroom was a nice surprise. The location is good - quiet and easy walk to the Vatican - a bit of a hike to the ruins but there are buses from the piazza only 1/2 block away. Rome is very expensive -you may think this is a lot of money for what you get but it is a good deal for Rome. The hotel I believe occupies at least 2 floors of an older building. There is an elevator but it is very very small - pack light! The desk was very helpful. We would stay here again.

This is a good place to stay in Rome. Close to everything. Rooms are absolutley great for European standards. I have one complaint.even though I specifically asked for a quiet room they placed me next to the elevator and the receptionist on duty the next morning was perturbed when I asked for a quieter room. When placed away from the elevator it was great.

The Hotel was exactly as described on the internet. We received directly the confirmation of the booking by venere.com and two days later from the hotel itself. In their e-mail they offered a pick-up service from the airport (50€)and a description how to get there by car, bus etc. We wanted to take the bus from Termini Stazione. This was rather difficult as we could neither find line 70 nor line 492 and even bus drivers did not give us a satisfactory advice. Take the underground from Termini to Lepanto (10 Min. to go to the hotel, walk straight to Piazza Cavour). Staff is very friendly, speaks well English. Hotel is near the mayor sites of interests, 10 min. to go to the Vatican, Piazza Navona etc. The hotel is located in a quiet street. We found it very small but also very clean. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay, the price was okay (115 €, per night, per double room) given that it was a stay in Rome, where everything is expensive.

This was our first stay at Hotel Angel. The room was spacy, but the bathromm tended to get a swimmingpool while having a shower. Very friendly staff, nice clean room, no noises from outside at all if the windows are shut. Only negative I can think of is that the toilet had a bit of a stutter in flushing every now and than. The lift is old, but has loads of charm. Easily walking distance from the centre - in a couple of minutes you're on Piazzo Navona. If we go back to Rome we will stay here again!

It is very central in the city and you can walk to all sights by feet.the staff speaks very good english, is availiable 24 hours a day.the rooms are a little bit too small, but very clean. Also the bathroom is good. For breakfast you have to pay extra (5,00 EUR per person) but the breakfast is not the best.rome is cheaper to take breakfast by standing. Don't sit down for breakfast - you'll pay tooooooooo much !!! We payed 88,00 EUR per night which is much in comparison with austrian hotels. I'll recommend the Hotel Angel. On our next trip to rome, we will book again. bye

This quaint hotel was PERFECT for my 2 day stay in Bella Roma. Although the room was small, for American standards, it was clean and well maintained. The staff was wonderful and helpful. I've told all my friends this is the perfect place to stay when taking a weekend trip to Roma. The location was excellent for walking to most sites or catching a bus to the ones that were a little to far for walking. It was a 15-minute walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Vatican. The Pantheon was a little further and the Colloseum & Roman Forum area as a quick bus ride away (the bus stop was 2-blocks up the street from the Hotel). The staff was very helpful with finding the sites and which bus to take where. All the staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Eric was especially helpful in booking train tickets for us the day we left. The room was very clean and comfortable, the water was hot and all the lights worked. It was also in a pretty quite area. The only reason I cannot say my stay was perfect is because the AC was not working the first night. By the time we got to our hotel room and realized it was not working it was too late to change anything. The staff tried to fix the problem the next day, but it was just not cooling the room so they switched us to a different room and the AC was working fine there. So make sure the AC is on before you un-pack. We just threw the windows open b/c it was pretty cool that night (honestly, our lack of sleep was more from Jet-lag than anything else). Other than that minor nuisance the hotel was perfect. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

We were in Rome four nights, we wanted to stay by the Vatican so we chose the Angel. When we arrived, they said they were having electrical problems on the third floor and they sent us down the street to their sister hotel, the Hotel Sant 'Angelo. When we got there, we were given a room witha broken air conditioner. Also, the room was too small by any measure (you could barely walk around the bed to get to the bathroom). The bathroom/shower was unbelievably small. The first night was of course miserable, a room in Rome in late June without air conditioning. I told them if it wasn't fixed the next day we were leaving. When we arrived back at our room at 6pm it still wasn't fixed. I raised a ruckus, and they got someone there to fix it, although it really didn't cool off that night like it should. Of course, this could happen anywhere, but it was a hassle. My memory of the hotel is that the staff were very agreeable, even if not always helpful, and the breakfast was very good, much better than you would expect. But the room was incredibly small, and with no air conditioning in your room for half your stay (and the common areas with the Internet station wasn't air conditioned ever) it's hard to want to go back there.

Everything OK.The hotel is very well located (everywhere by foot). Only a note: the price is a little bit high since no breakfast is included and there is no common room to stay.

We took a cab from Rome airport to the hotel and he new exactly where it was, 50euros that included tip. Employess were superb, spoke good english. Rooms were clean, our double was a bit tight, my in-laws double room with the loft was more spacious and the bathroom was bigger also, a better buy if you need more room. Great trattoria right across the street, cafe latte's and food... No complaints about the Hotel Angel from a NY boy.

Hotel was ideal for stay in Rome - location excellent. Staff were most helpful and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. Price a little on the high side - however should I return to Rome I certainly will be staying in Angels again. Would recommend to family and friends

I recommend this hotel to everyone who is in Rome for a weekend-trip. Its location is perfect: 7 minutes walking dictance to the Spanish Steps, lots of nice cafes and restaurants in a 5 minute-distance (no tourist-restaurants). The rooms are very clean and are equipped with everything one needs. The weekend was perfect!

A very nice hotel, very well situated . although that the rooms are small, the place is very clean and quiet and compensates the missing space. Very recommended.

The staff was excellent, they were helpful with getting cabs, making train reservations & just giving us information regarding the surrounding area. They also were available all night long, that was comforting.

The rooms are very small, but I guess that is common to most hotels in Rome. The only (big) problem we had was that our room was in the 4th floor and that the elevator was out of order for two out of three nights. The hotel is very central, the staff is very nice and polite and they even offered us (for free) breakfast at our day of departure. Overall grade: good quality and nice service, but rooms are small and a working elevator would be enjoyable.

Very nice hotel without too many frills, good location within walking distance from most interesting places, but quiet as it is just on the "non-happening" side of the river.

Hotel was in a great location. We had to walk 2 blocks to a sister hotel for breakfast, but breakfast was ok. Hotel is situated above a restaurant so it is very noisy in the late evenings even after midnight. Quality of service about what was expected from website reviews.

Hotel in a good location, no traffic noise. Our particular room was clean but very small as is the lift! Bit of a pain having to walk down the road for breakfast, which was average. Staff helpful and friendly and we would stay again.

Very nice room, we were given a larger room for whatever reason, and it was huge! The guys at the front desk were friendly and helpful with directions and restaurants, and even help with the cab. The location is a quiet residential neighborhood, so if you're looking to be near all the tourist action, this might not be it. But its still within walking distance to all the sites or the metro. I would recommend this hotel.

Everything in Rome is very expensive, but relative to price, this place is excellent! It is right in the middle of everything and you can really walk to everything. Also, the rooms and bathrooms are VERY clean. This was especially nice since the last hotel we stayed in was not clean at all. The staff was amazing. They gave us a map and pointed out all of the places we should see. And on the last day, we still had a few things we wanted to see, but didn't want to lug our luggage around since it was after check-out so they actually watched our luggage for us so we didn't have to worry about it. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at Angel and will be back! The staff was incredibly welcoming, very knowledgeable about Rome, and helped with our every request. They were even accommodating when one of our travel companions cancelled and we changed our room at the last minute. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms spotless. It's a great area--an easy walk to all the sights, very safe at night, and easy to find.

The hotel is well situated - 10 minutes walk from Vatican City and right across the Tiber from every other historical point of interest, shopping, restaurants. The front office staff was friendly, helpful and spoke excellent english. They helped us with city information, museum & restaurant reservations, bus schedules, etc. Room overlooked a busy streetcorner but, despite this, with new double-pane windows, it was very quiet. Nice places for quick coffee or breakfast right across the street.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. In terms of convenience, I especially liked the taxi service to and from the airport. We mostly walked everywhere from the hotel, but the metro was also close when needed, as was a bicycle rental and work-out area down on the river--the location is perfect!
