Very good hotel! Near to Termini station(the station could see from the room window). But the breakfast starts 8a.m. so we couldn't have it.(We had a reservation of Vatican Museum at 9a.m. It took about 30min. by bus and need to walk 10~15min. from the nearest bus stop.) Please starts breakfast at least 7a.m.

Great combination of close location to Termini Railway station, price and cleanliness. Felt very comfortable from the opening "hello" by the desk attendant Penelope. She had maps and suggestions readily available. Two considerations: the continental breakfast was very basic and the elevator to the 4th floor was small. We would stay there again given our concerns for economy.

We have enjoyed our stay at Hotel Andreina. A nice little hotel next to Termini station and where from you can take public transportation or walk within a few minutes to the historical center. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's our second stay in this hotel and we highly recommend it. The hotel is clean, the rooms are big enough and the beds are confortable. Cant ask for anything more.

In a month of traveling, the Hotel Andreina was the nicest surprise. We were greeted warmly by the ladies who run the hotel and they were more than helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is charming and the rooms look as pictured. The location was excellent for us...though this area may not be the most charming in the city, being so close to the Termini station allowed us ease of travel to all of the sights via the metro and in and out of town via Trenitalia. The hotel can be a little noisy in the mornings with other guests moving about, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Excellent service makes all the difference. They have nice towels too.

Excellent for 1 or 2 night stay, especially if you are arriving and leaving from the Train Station. Clean rooms and good toilet facilities. Can be difficult to find as the hotel entrance is 4 floors up and there is no obvious sign in the street. Will use again if travelling through Rome and using the station.

Nice and clean, located 200 m from Termini Station. During our stay (June 2010) there was construction work ongoing outside on the street which meant a lot of noise in the morning but normally that should not be the case.

First stay here and was impressed with accuracy of photos and description. Only disappointment was lack of/ reluctance to cater for breakfast but we didn't give any notice that we wanted it. Station was very close and we got breakfast there. Metro v handy and close enough to walk to some sights. Would recommend this hotel :)

Excellent for our three days sightseeing in Rome, travelling by train. I don't think it would feel very cosy in winter or cold weather but excellent for a summer stay. Very convenient location and friendly staff. It was nicely quirky - definitely not your boring corporate hotel.

It is placed in the 4th level of an apartment. No fridge is available (even a common one to be shared by guests). The floor is not covered by a carpet, but covered with brown tiles. The staff are nice & a small white dog welcome you upon arrival.

The uninspiring exterior of the hotel hides a simple but quality interior tended to by generous and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and have double-glazing so are surprisingly quiet despite the road outside. I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good value room in a convenient place very near to Rome Termini station.

we spent 3 days in rome. Once i was booked in another hotel but that doesnt convence me and then a found by venere the hotel andreina. I rode the comments of the other visitor and I chose that hotel. Own experience in Hotel Andreina was excellent. The pictures on the web no aren't a tricking. When you are in the hotel you find the same that you have watched there. The both ladies are very, very kind. The room is so clean and the location of the hotel is execellent because is near Termini station and you can go and back to the hotel easily by bus or underground. I absolutlly would recomend this hotel to everybody who has to go to rome.

Lovely room, nice blue and white decor, spotlessly clean and a wonderful high wooden ceiling. We both particularly liked the arched doors into the loo! Staff were extremely helpful, and the location couldn't have been better. We knew before we went that the tram stop outside and the location at Termini meant it would be noisy at night - which it was, but it didn't bother us. Unfortunately there were large scale renovations going on in the block directly accross the street from us, so we were woken every morning at exactly 7.30am by a kango hammer and electric saw. That did bother us! Nothing the Andreina could do anything about, but I wouldn't stay there again until that work is finished! Apart from that, a lovely place to stay in Rome!

We stayed here for 3 days in June. The property is located near the Termini train station, which means it's very central but in a sometimes dodgy area. We chose Andreina for it's proximity to the train station. We were travelling throughout Italy by train and booked two separate stays with this very convenient hotel. The staff was very accomodating and helpful/friendly to us. We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were clean and charming. Rooms in Rome are expectedly small in this price range but then, are you really going to do anything but sleep in them? The surroundings are not as bad as I have heard described in other reviews, although I would be uncomfortable just about anywhere in Rome as a single female at night. Keep in mind after all, it is near Rome's largest train station. There is abundant shopping and dining here and convenient to hop a bus or cab for a short ride to attractions which you can enjoy on foot from there. The streets outside are very busy and somewhat noisy, but not intolerable (just bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper). Overall, the hotel was perfect for our needs and we would happily return if we get the chance to come back to this amazing nation.

Hotel andreina was a wonderful little hotel perfectly situated away from the city centre but within easy access to metro, tram, bus and taxi transportation. very friendly staff beautiful layout inside. Bit sad but i only booked the hotel because i liked the bedstands... they really made it for me but otherwise the bathroom is perfect too along with a good sized room if you'll be like us mainly in the city discovering every nook and cranny! Great price compared to everything else i looked at definately recommended and left us with fantastic memories! Many thanks for a pleasant stay! P.s would like to pass on some advice to those new to Rome, if you use the metro to get into the city at night please bare in mind it closes at 10pm so dont walk back like we thought we had to if you're a bit strapped for cash...the bus is only 1 euro each, so spare your health and ride the good ol' public transport!

Three nights, two persons. Perfect location, exaclty 50 mt. (1 min. by foot) from Termini Station, Bus and Metro. Nice, clean and not so small room, with good windows against the noise from the street. Really nice employees, very kind and caring. Unique little problem, the small internal elevator to reach the rooms. Also useful the "Trattoria da Luciano", side by side to the main door of the hotel, very cheap but good.

This Hotel is hard to comment on as we only stayed 1 night. The location is very good close to train's buses etc but a very dodgy area. I definatly would not recommend walking around the streets at night eat at restaurants before dark and get back to your room. A lot of beggers and pick pockets roam this area. street noise is very hard to block out, ok for 1 night stay but if you are staying in Rome for longer pay the extra money and stay in a better hotel. However the room was very clean but very small and the elevator was interesting.

We asked for a quiet room and got it, Rm. 33. Escellent access to the train station and transfer to the airport. Let's face it, prices are sky high for those whose earnings are in US dollars, but this seemed like a relative bargain. It was easy to walk to the Forum, Palatine Hill and colisseum.

Great Location, just a few meters from railway station, however the neighborhood It's a bit scary if you arrive at night with all the suitcaises. Room wasn´t very luxurious (little bit old) but bathroom was perfect, clean towels every day. With TV (no cable) and safety box. If you are lucky and have a laptop you may find some internet conection. Very friendly staff, no breakfast icluded. Great place to stay if you are visiting the city for a few days, near restaurants and transport system.

I'm travelling with my friend and Rome is our first destination of this trip. The hotel is really nice and super clean!! Surrounding is ok but slightly dirty (well I'd guess everywhere in Rome is dirty), very close to bus, subway and train. There was no breakfast provided, well basically no kitchen but not a big deal really because around the area there are lots of restaurants and shops. Great Stay!!

Good for a short stay, because of it's proximity to the Termini Station. Wouldn't stay here longer than one night. Here are some reasons (which are certainly subjective). 1.Strange odour in the room (obviously air-freshener to eliminate traces of cigarete smoke) which was quite uncomfortable. 2. Interior design of the hotel is quite uninspiring. Doors painted with tourkize and white cane furniture in the reception area were out of place. At least to my taste. 3. Noise from the outside (particulary after midnight) can distract some light sleepers.

Hotel Andreina is a lost island in a desparate neighborhood near Termini Train Station. The lady at the desk was very helpful and the rear room was unusally clean and quiet. Because of the location, and we were only sleeping to catch an early train, the Andreina was the perfect choice. I would recommend it to travelers that wish to have a clean room with a warm smile for a more than fair price.

Hotel Andreina is in a convenient location for trains, buses and the Metro as well as being close to the major sights of Rome. The area is quite noisy bit the hotel's double glazing is very effective in keeping the noise out. The hotel is on two floors of a multi-occupancy building. Entry is via reception on the 4th floor. Rooms on the third floor are accessed by a second, very small lift. Not for those who dislike lifts or suffer from claustrophobia. Breakfast is taken at an adjacent bar. Not really worth paying extra for in our opinion. Rooms are simple and spotlessly clean with clean towels provided every day. One thing spoiled our stay at the Andreina. On our first night after a very long day we were looking forward to an early night. The key broke in the lock and the hotel staff tried for 3 hours to gain access to our room before arranging a room at a rather grotty hotel next door. A locksmith was called the following day and we were expected to pay the €200 bill. Although we did not believe we were at fault and unsure of the legal position we agreed to pay half of this. We felt the hotel was trying to recoup the loss of revenue for the first night and felt we were being ripped off. For this reason would not use this Hotel again. All in all the experience spoiled what was otherwise a great time in Rome.

Hotel Andreina is an excellent budget hotel with a prime location (close to Termini). The room was much bigger then some of the other rooms in Italy and was very clean and tidy. Most it had air conditioning which is a must in the summer. The receptionists were very helpful and spoke very good english. The complementary breakfast was quite decent with croissants, jam and coffee. It is pretty close to several of the major sites. We select Hotel Andreina for our Long-Weekend-Trip to Rom under the aspects, it must be a small hotel, near by the centre with the historic sites, at the same not so far from train-/bus-station and of course the category of price in middle segment. After our visit we can say the area around Termini is a little bit difficult but we had newer a bad or an unsure feeling. Finaly our comment to Hotel Andreina, it is a prime address, with nice and clean rooms and a very friendly reception around the clock. So we can recommend this accommodation with good conscience.

Hotel Andreina doesn't meet our expectation. It's not easy to find the location as it's at a building with a small entrance. It's not a hotel, actually it's a pension. They charged us Euro95 for one night and it's much higher than the hotels around there. We don't like to have our breakfast in a bar nearby. More worse, to reach our room, we need to take a lift which needed to push and hold the button to get that floor. Though the room inside is really clean and the staff is nice and welcoming, we are very likely not to go there again.

Very clean and tidy, nice bathroom, friendly clerks, small but nice rooms with good beds. Sometimes a bit noisy (cause by the street outside).

We stayed in a double bed room with private bath. But the room is so small that you can hardly move around if you are of big size. The breakfast offered is terrible and of cheap quality. I think they are over priced but may be that is Rome. The hotel because of its closeness to railway station is convenient, but also very cheap and you feel very uncomfortable at night with all those idle people loitering around the street.

The hotel is situated very close to the Termini station, which is a very busy and noisy area. The rooms however are in excellent condition, spacious, clean, very nice bathroom much above the indicated standard. The entrance is quite surprising, as the hotel is on the third floor a of multistorey building and to get to your rooms you have to use some gangways inside the building. But for a cheap budget accomodation I would recommend it. Staff is also freindly and helpful.

The location of the Andreina makes it a wonderful choice if you are coming in by train. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is on the fourth floor, but has an elevator (actually large enough to hold two people comfortably) that takes you up. The room we stayed in was very nice. Had arches throughout and a wardrobe that matched the arch shapes. The bathroom was very new and clean and the shower was wonderful (which felt good after a hot day of walking all over Roma)

We had a very nice stay at the hotel, we were aware in advance that it was not a quiet area but a set of ear plugs looked after that. The room was tidy and clean and had everything to make it an easy stay. The staff were incredibly helpful with buses and information and even extra pillows. The were also very friendly. The breadfast was not very interesting, a stale bun with jam and a croissant came in a celophane wrap. Yuck! Stop for a cappuccino and danish some where else.It was a good value, a great location, you can walk to all of the sights, the train and bus are a block away. I would stay again.

It is difficult to assess the relationship between quality and price because I did not view other accommodation at the same price.

there was a very friendly 24hour room service. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean (new towels evey day),like on the picture, but small. The breakfast was in a bar nearby but not very enjoyable. The train-/busstation is a 3 minutes walk which was very great!

Andreina is a very nice small pension with very friendly and willing to help the traveler personnel. The rooms are very clean and note that there is always hot water. The location is very central, so you can actually walk to the major monuments of Rome. The only drawback is that it is a bit noisy during the night because of its position(only 3 minutes from Termini station, which is very convenient). We would definetely recommend Andreina for a visit to Rome.

Had a wonderful weekend staying in the Andreina. Minor quibbles were that the lift didn't work for the first two days, but they were very apologetic about that. And that the hotel was on the 4th floor which I didn't see mentioned in the website. Other than that the staff were really great (and almost all spoke English), the room and shower were excellent, and the location was perfect for us, right beside Termini/the metro.

We asked for a quite room and my requirement was fulfilled. The double glazed pretty new windows were very effective in reducing the remaining noise. The room was well cleaned, spacious; it had a big-big king-size and comfortable bed and the house keeping very good. The air-conditioning was also very effective, silent and fully controlled by us (no extra charge). A tasty peach and grapes were offered all the days: nice after McDonalds or Pizza meals. The staff was very kind and helpful: Graziela, a young girl with good English, gave us a warm welcome and still helped my wife perfectioning her Italian language skills. Breakfast is small and served outside the hotel (at a bar next corner to the right only a few meters from the hotel). The bar breakfast service is good. On the map it seems (walking along G. Amendola in direction of the Termini Sation) that the hotel is located on the right side but in fact it is on the left site of the road: Anyway easier to find. We would be back again A. Rocha and A. very good hotel in a close distance to the main station, very clean, friendly and the air condition was necessary in august. rate of 60 € was fair. in october you might find cheaper hotels in this area.

Very friendly and for a budget option is stylishly decked out. the simple but classy decor and clean and well-appointed bathrooms make this a lot nicer than a lot of other budget options.
