Hotel Reviews Amalfi

Switzerland, Jun 2006
The location was not far off from the railway station. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and 10/10 marks for that. The rooms were small but clean (I would not guess you get bigger rooms for that price in Rome). The breakfast was good but not exceptional. The nicest thing was we could see the Pope during his processession from our hotel room. We were thrilled to see him from such a close range.

Quality and service was very good but the room was small and certainly not worth E150 per day by American standards. Maybe comparable to what we would expect for $80 MAX. The location of this hotel is very convenient to public transportation. I would stay in this location again on my next trip. However, I would not pay more than E100 per day for a 3Star Hotel in this location.

Very nice hotel, in a good location near to Termini station and metro. Staff very friendly and room perfect for a short stay, as rooms are quite small but still very nice. Breakfast was basic but for price not suprising. Would definitely recommend this hotel for price, value for money and location.

Hotel Amalfi was less than 10 minutes walk from the main "Termini" bus & train station in Rome. All staff spoke English and proved to be very helpful during our stay. Room was on the small side but was very clean and well appointed with marble-tiled bathroom, flat panel TV and wardrobe safe. As the hotel is situated on the roadside there was some traffic noise with windows open but traffic could hardly be heard with windows closed. Continental breakfast was better than expected with good choice of items from individual breakfast baskets and tea/coffee/orange juice. Location was excellent for visiting usual tourist sites with Colluseum approx 10 minutes walk. All in all a decent hotel offering good value for money - We would certainly stay there again

The Amalfi was not only very conveinently located next to the train station but it was located near everything. The Colosseum was a ten minute walk. It was a straight shot to the spanish steps (20 min walk). The rooms aren't typical large american rooms, however we didn't spend much time loitering in them. They were very helpful, and the breakfast was more than enough to get us till dinner. Everyone there is very accomadating. Each room has a bathroom with a shower stall which is plenty for staying clean. We would absolutely stay at the amalfi again.

The room is very small. The service at the breakfast room was poor. We waited for a long time before we were served with our coffee and bread.

Compared to other hotels of comperable price, Amalfi was great. The room was quite nice, even with little perks like a towel warmer and sunlight with remote controlled opening. The only thing was that I could hear every conversation at the reception. I'd definately go back.

Good Value for money, room a little small but didn't spend any time in it, but impotantly it was clean. Cheese Ham etc for breakfast. good location to the train station. unfortunately noise from the street (ie horns) woke us up most nights. Will go again :-)

The Hotel Amalfi is one of the best hotels I've stayed in ... a terraced room on the top floor of the hotel, whilst compact in size, the amenities were fantastic - beautiful ensuite with separate shower stall and stunning window/mirror combination. The staff could not have been more ameniable suggesting both best routes to explore Rome and places to eat. The close proximity to the Central Railway Station was an added bonus and I would (and have) highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Rome.

Friendly people, simple basic hotel. Based on pricing we expected a bigger and more modern room. Lot's of noise from outside.
