One of the worst hotels ever. This property was once refined and elegant, however, it is now in disrepair and with a very unfriendly staff. Do NOT stay here if you are looking for a 5 star hotel, as it is billed. It is a 2 star, possibly a low 3!!!

Beautiful building in a wonderful location that needs a little bit more work. There were three in our group and we had a huge 2 bedroom/1 bath room facing the courtyard. The room was elegant but the bathtub/shower leaked. Breakfast was good, but the restaurant located in the hotel was very expensive. Overall, the location could not have been much better.

Dated but elegant hotel close to via Condotti and Spanish Steps. Our deLuxe Double room was wonderfully spacious-well worth the extra cost over the standard double-clean, and very quiet as it overlooked the inner courtyard. The air-con worked and there was plenty of strong, hot water. If you're looking for modern minimalism with flat panel TVs and glass basins, go elsewhere, but if you're looking for Roman charm, the Grand Plaza is highly recommended.

The most attractive element is the location of the hotel (specially if shopping is on your agenda) Public rooms are fascinating and are fantastic place to escape the street noise (they are very quite) but usually empty and closed at noon time (which is a bit inconvenient). On the whole it is a great hotel ( I have stayed their twice already).

The hotel was fabulous. The pictures were so inviting that I would have wanted to see it even if we couldn't stay there. There was no disappointment - it is gorgeous! Our room was huge-suite like and very quiet. Even though it is a main street, it is one way traffic and 99% pedestrian, 2 blocks from the Spanish Steps and very central. We stayed there 4 days and it made our Rome trip very special.

The hotel was older and the public areas not as bright, and were furnished with huge uncomfortable furnishings. it was also very empty, which was disconcerting. but overall the service and stay were excellent and the location could not have been better.

Location was unbeatable. Overall very happy with the hotel. Only complaint was lack of staff. 30 minutes to check in. Getting anyone to answer when you called the front desk or housekeeping was impossible. Have already recommended it to friends and will continue to do so. If you are looking for a job in Rome, this should be your first stop.

Overpriced hotel. Staff is not welcoming or friendly. My cousin who lives in Italy called the hotel to confirm my reservation before my stay and was told they had no record of my reservation and to call back someother time. Heard from others staying there they had the same problem. Staff does not speak English well so had a hard time communicating. Great location though. Easy walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and shopping.

In generale, comunque, vado sempre volentieri.

To be honest we were very disappointed with our stay at the Grand Plaza. Yes it does have an opulent hallway but the rooms were cold and the bathroom had no shower and a bath with no plug!! There were no tea or cofee facilities (this is a five star hotel remember) and the breakfast coffee was cold and the croissants cold and stale. When we checked in no one even bothered to tell us where the restaurant or bar within the hotel were located. The hotel isn't bad it just wasn't the five star break we expected.

Hotel was as advertised. Had to wait a few hours before the room was available. Once we did check in the room's air conditioning was not working.moved to another room and it was fine. The buffet breakfast was great a good way to start the day. Would not however rate this as a five star Hotel more in line with a 3-4 star at best. Hotel personnel were excellent and responded to all requests in a courtious fashion.

Our room had a ventilator that connected us to the room next door. the room was very noisy and we could hear everything from next door and from rooms above etc. We complained and they removed a light that shone into our room from next door - but would not move us. The common rooms and roof gardens are great - shame there is no bar or breakfast up there. Building works in the hotel started early on Saturday morning - not good for a realaxing weekend break.
