Great relationship between price and quality for Italian Hotel standars. It's not a great Hotel, but good for the price you pay if you compare it with other Hotels in Rome. Great location if you want to be close to Termini area, but it's not Termini. It's walking 5-10 minutes to Termini if you should get the train or bus to airport. Very close to Piazza Republica, to get the metro.10 minutes walking to Trevi. Hotel is new, the room was very big for the Italian standars. Street very quiet.

We stayed in Hotel Elide for 3 nights and found it to be exactly what we expected from the description. It is a good base for sightseeing, 1 minute walk to the bus stop and 2 or 3 to the metro but walking distance to some of the major sights too. The hotel and rooms are very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast room is small but the breakfast itself was ok since it was included in the price (tea, coffee, cereal, bread and pastries with butter & jam). Staff were helpful and friendly.

We were at the Elide for 3 days. It was perfectly adequate for what we wanted. A clean place to sleep at a reasonable cost. Rooms facing the main street can get pretty noisy at night. They had two computers available to access the internet. Wifi did not reach to our room. We did not take advantage of the breakfast. It appeared to be typical of most Italian breakfasts. There were many places nearby to get something to eat at a better price. The location is great. Within easy walking distance to the main train station and the subway line.

A very nice hotel, nice rooms (#114)with all you need for a short trip to Rome. Price quality in order with location is very good. Not even 10 min walk from Termini station to hotel. Trevi and Spanish stairs all in walking distance (max 15 min walk). The breakfast is very poor but across the street is an nice snackbar with great cappuccino and fresh bread, same price as at the hotel. Overall, I would stay here again if I visit Rome again.

The hotel is easy to find but the maps are not updated. It's very convenient to go around Rome since the subway is just a few minutes away. But it terms of proximity to Termini station, it's a 10-15 minute walk. The good thing about this hotel is the owner is very accommodating. I had problems with a local trip I booked and he helped me with my refund by calling the other party. There's a computer room with 2 units of PC that you can use. The elevator is very slow but that's fine. The room are not very big but clean and cozy enough. Yes, there's no aircon but we did not need it when we visited last May 2011. My only comment is on the punctuality of the hotel-airport transfer. The driver was like 15 minutes late. It's better to have allowance if it's your first time in the airport. We did not know we had to check-in (self-serve) and where to find the tax refund counter. So that was the hassle. But the hotel is OK.

Hotel is on the first floor, but there is a lift. Very handy for the city centre and there a numerous places to eat, from snacks at lunchtime to evening meals. Close to the Metro and for buses. Quiet area, due to the hotel being opposite a guarded government building. Ideal for tourists. Hotel staff very helpful and welcoming. Prices are cheap for Rome centre. I would stay again.

TV. Safe - extra. Schrecklich: Muffelnder Duschvorhang (!) im geräumigen Bad (sonst O.K. - nichts Tolles). Netter Mensch an der Rezeption.

Overall we were very happy with the room. We were disappointed that we were charged an extra $10 Euro/day for the airconditioning. Staff apoligised for the problem in the transaltion from Italian to English on venere.com website & included breakfast for 2, to make up for the confusion.

I didn't mind the room it was clean and close to many city sites but i didn't like that the rooms said it had air conditioning but it was an extra 15 euros a day for it, the weather was nice so we didn't need it but i don't like the idea for paying extra for something we get everywhere else for the normal room price

No vayan.

My husband & I stayed for 3 nights in room 114 just off reception. We were worried about potential noise however it was doubled doored so it was very quiet. A very spacious room by European standards with fridge, Flat Screen TV (no English language channels)& Air con (extra). The shower room was modern & spotlessly clean. The Room was made up daily. Staff were helpful and friendly. We were charged an extra 10 euros per night for aircon and breakfast for two which is less than the quoted price. Breakfast was very basic - tea/coffee, bread rolls, cakes and jam. It was fine though and there are plenty of places adjacent to the hotel to get food & drink. Great location, close to the metro and walking distance to many of the major sites. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Elide.

+ very close to the Termini Train Station (10min walk) & Republica tube station + walking distance to major city attractions + very close to one of the best restaurants in the area - Galina Bianca - & quite few good pubs (eg: cork's inn) + room 114 stil has the old ceiling with old painting and floral design sculpted - although venere.com website states that the CC is used only to secure the reservation, the hotel charged my CC the full amount before 1PM of the arriving day - they can do a refund of the money but it is not usually done the same day; so ... better have some cash with you just in case
