EcoHotel - Rome

Just two comments: 1. excellent breakfast table with a very complete choice. 2. the entrance for car parking could be better with a small camera connected with the reception

Great Staff..informative, helpful with directions and responded very well. Shuttle service great Problem with our airconditioner was resolved quickly and we were given another room as mechanic unable to fix in time. breakfast was excellent...large choice of foods and drinks..they give excellent service.

Always one of the best

If you MUST go to Rome, you'll find this little hotel to be very clean and nice. This is the only GOOD thing we found in Rome. Not "Grande" or spacious, but well appointed and very clean and modern. Breakfast was very full Continental, fresh, and good for the day.

Nice hotel, quite new, good value. Service was very good. Great breakfast. Shuttle bus to metro station on request.

An excellent hotel.

The price, cleanliness and service were excellent. The location was a real problem for my trip. Way out in a ressidential area with very little services nearby. Got lost getting there. Too much time waiting for buses which sweldom run. The value for some will be excellent; not for me. My travel time is too short. The hotel itself is newly renovated; the room was very very small, but modern and well designed for the space.

The "7" rating of hotel surroundings is relative. Yes, this property is outside of the city center, but that is why we booked it. It was the last night of our honeymoon and we wanted to have a quiet stay outside of the city. This new hotel was perfect. Each room has a spacious, private balcony - perfect setting. We didn't book this hotel for its surroundings.

The hotel was renovated in beginning of 2009 and has very nice new clean and spacious rooms, unlike many other hotels in Rome, for a resonable price. Hotel is about 15 mins by car to city center, and has a parking. If you have a car I would recommend to stay here, rather than in the downtown hotels with old and small rooms.

From the photos and map, the hotel appears to be in a quiet green spot round the side of the Vatican. Actually it is on a highstreet (but no noise) in an outlying residential neighbourhood, and St Peters is about 30 minutes by bus. It's far enough that it's not practical to return to the hotel during the day. That makes the day sightseeing quite tiring and once you come back to the hotel, it's hard to find the will to treck back into the centre to go out in the evening. But there are local shops (grocery, pharmacy etc) and neighbourhood restaurants. The options to get to the hotel are a bus or the metro then a shorter bus ride. Both take around 45 minutes from Termini; not 20 minutes as advertised. Some areas are closer. The concept of 'Eco' hotel is quite loose - some breakfast yoghurts were organic but other products were not or it was not clear; the linen is not organic; shampoo etc is not organic; no mention of the building materials (it's a new build) or sources of power and water, etc. So it seems like an ordinary hotel, and no more. But, once inside, the hotel is lovely - new and clean, with very helpful, enthusiastic and friendly staff. The rooms are a good size, tastfully decorated (modern) and very quiet and comfortable. The restaurant decoration is quite basic but adequate and the breakfast buffet is good (variety, quantity, quality). There is no lounge. There are cafe chairs and tables on the ground floor and in front of the hotel. Overall, the hotel is very comfortable and very good quality-price. Personally I would pay 10 - 15€ more to stay in the centre.

From the moment we entered the hotel we received an amazing welcome that was followed by a constant willing to help. the rooms were spotless and bountiful and breakfast was very good as well, I highly recommend staying In Eco Hotel
