CiampinoHotel - Ciampino, Rome

One night at Ciampino: lift was broken, wc only worked occasionally, and the worst: the breakfast was a joke - pre served, no buffé, no cheese, no sausage, minor bread and sweet colourlike juice.........

The best quality is the closeness to the airport and the breakfast service. in the room there is any commodities: empty frigo bar, no internet cable. cleanliness of room is not quite satisfactory.

We used the Hotel as the first place from the Airport after our late flight in. We are a family and had a family room, which was well appointed. The hotel is very close to the airport and reasonably easy to find. Staff were most welcoming and helpful. It is in a residential area so there are a few bars and restaurants nearby. As it is close to the airport, then there is some noise from the planes. However, in terms of convienience and price, it was perfect for our needs. Sadly we didn't stay long enough to use the pool, but it did look very inviting.

The hotel is situated at the end of the airport runway and the first flight is at 6.00am The hotel is also situated next to a main railway line and trains run all night. The aircon did not work, the fridge did not work and the shower had a faulty discharge. ie it was a hose.

We stayed just one night, because it is close to the airport. The hotel was a little difficult to find, and we were offered a room with 4 beds in some kind of a garage. Very noicy both concerning airoplanes and trains. Breakfast and service from staff ok.

Air condition was off and same price but to sleep with open window near the airport wasn't good experience

The hotel is very noisy, with the sound of the airplanes taking off /landing and, worst, people on the corridors and common areas. From our rooms we could even hear the noise of the breakfast room!. In the facilities of the hotel description it´s offered mini-bar,but there wasn´t: when I asked in the reception they say there wasn´t in any room!! One of the matresses was awful, I asked for a change and they only did it for the second night, so I spent the first day in rome with backache. And the new matress was just a bit better..Breakfast is porr and only "sweet" things marmalade, croissant, nutella, etc.. no option.. And they offer "private parking" which really means 5 or 6 places on the street reserved for the hotel customers, it depends on chance that you find a place, atherwasy you have to look for a place in the neighbourhood. I would try another hotel, and just would retunr to Ciampino hotel if could not find a better option.

Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, rooms clean and adequate. Location to airport and public transport excellent

El hotel en sí está bien y correcto, aunque se supone que quien va allí está de paso, o no se va a quedar mucho tiempo, nostros solo estuvimos una noche porque llegamos al aeropuerto de Ciampino por la noche y a la mañana siguiente cogíamos otro vuelo. El hotel es espacioso y las habitaciones limpias, eso sí, está el tema del ruido de los aviones, aunque estábamos tan cansados que no nos enteramos de nada. El desayuno justito pero bien. Y el trato correcto, no es lo mismo que el trato familiar de un B&B pero contando que por ahí pasa mucha gente es normal. También pudimos ver que el hotel tenía un ámplio jardín con piscina, que evidentemente no pudimos usar por la breve estancia. Como punto muy negativo, aunque no tiene que ver con el hotel, es la llegada al hotel en taxi, bien es sabido que los taxistas de Roma tienen mala fama, por la noche cobran 30 € por recorrer los 2 Km. que separan al hotel del aeropuerto, y eso que el taxista nos dijo 20€ al subir pero después no sé que excusas metió. De día pueden ser 20€ o 25€. Un robo y una pena.

Hotel Basic but Clean and served purpose. Staff very good, very helpful. Area is better than it looks. You could see Airport Runway and Railway from Hotel but noise from both was not noticeable when it mattered. Sports Bar 200 metres from Hotel were excellent for Food and Drink.

It was a very noisy hotel, not very well soundproof. We could hear people along the corridors. Overall children running. But I think that for the price it was worthwhile.
