Hotel is in nice location, near consulates -- fairly far from sights, but 5 Euro bus day-pass works terrifically. Initial check in person was very brusk, but rest of staff excellent. Not a bad hotel, a bit worn, overpriced.

Spacious room with large bath and only item missing was heated towel bar. Nice added luxuries of thick bath robes and slippers. Very large hot and cold breakfast with pleasant breakfast room. It would be nice to have choice of no-smoking room, but overall experience was positive. Close to many small restaurants and easy walk to metro.

We were in Rome for a vacation. Hotel was okay-but not 4 star. Breakfast just adequate and not a very inviting room to eat in. Staff were fine. Overall, I'd rate it 2 to 3 stars, not 4. Area very quiet bot a bit removed. View from room dreary. Could use a toaster for breakfast!!

This was a very nice, small hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Room was HUGE with a great view of the street. Nice neighborhood in the financial/embassy area with lots of good, friendly restaurants nearby. Walk to train station and underground, so easy to travel around and to and from Rome.

Initially we thought the street unattractive, and the facade of the hotel didn't scream luxury at you! The staff, though, were fantastic and the rooms were a good size. Breakfast was good. We had a room overlooking the street, and found the room quiet. The bathroom was spotlessly clean every day. We were part of a group of 14, and nobody had a bad word to say about the place.

The breakfast needs to be improved. The bread was still frozen at 9am and eggs cold. More fresh bread should be added - do not cost much but adds very much value. We had very noicy neighbours - love couple!!! Nothing to do about really... Probably what you should expect when you do weekend trips... No noice from street - very good.

Pleasant hotel, friendly staff, good wireless internet access. Room was comfortable, with bed a little soft for my liking. Excellent bathrooms. Close to Termini (10 mins walk), in a very hotel laden area. Not a lot of "local" restaurants close by. Breakfast was average.

We stayed with at Baileys for one night on way out of the Rome, I wish I had stayed at Baileys the first 4 nights I was at Rome. Although it is a bit away from center of Rome, but my two teenage doughter had no problem walking 5 minutes more. Great place

We had a great time in Rome, we had 2 rooms with interconnecting doors. One room was bigger than the other, but both rooms had bathrooms and their own tvs. It was brilliant for us, as a family, 2 adults and 2 children. It was close enough to all the tourist sights, but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. There were plenty of restaurants close by.

I stayed at Bailey's hotel with my daughter and we had an excellent experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful to us. It is not as close to the main sites and to the metro stop as we had hoped--a long walk for my daughter--but the neighborhood seemed safe and we felt quite comfortable walking back at night. There was a taxi strike while we were in Rome and the desk clerk arranged a car service to get us to the airport.

The rooms were beautifully decorated but small. Everything was in working order and it was a very quiet street. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. We were just disappointed that for the price we paid there was no lobby and a very small almost claustrophobic breakfast area. We expected more amenities from a four star hotel.

This was a wonderful hote. We had the family suite. It was great. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. The breakfast room was superb. One word to describe this hotel is "crisp." I would go back in a minute.

Very nice, clean, welcoming. excellent bathroom and beds. The public areas are small but that was not a problem for us. I had medical problems while there and they got me a call out service quickly. It was extremely expensive, however (300 euro).

The Bailey's was a very lovely hotel in close to Via Vento. The bathroom was marble and spotless and the room was very spacious. The hotel arranged a car service to the airport and charged it to our bill, which was very appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The entire staff was so gracious and so helpful with reservations for tours/dinners even before we left for Italy. Ask for Simona - she is AWESOME! We walked in the front door to smiles and thank goodness everyone spoke English! The delux hotel room was great - very spacious and a nice view of the street activity. And it was quiet! We would definitely return to this hotel again. Thank you to the entire staff for helping us to have a wonderful vacation on our first trip to Italy!

We took our teenage son to Rome the third week in April, and stayed in connecting rooms (one double and one single) on the 5th floor. Although our son's single had only a small window opening onto an interior open stairwell (which made it a bit dark), the situation in every other respect was superb. The rooms were fairly large with high ceilings, gorgeous furnishings, and fabulous marble bathrooms. Maid service was outstanding; the rooms were immaculately clean, with towels changed twice a day, and crisp sheets changed daily. Breakfasts also were excellent, with a fine assortment of cold meats, boiled eggs, fruits, breads, cakes, cereal, milk, and juices served on lovely place settings in an interior room. Particularly memorable was the friendly, efficient staff, who bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant. Simona, who often was behind the main desk, worked miracles getting last-minute restaurant reservations for us at delightful places, and Mauro gave much helpful advice on sightseeing and transportation. The hotel is not in the heart of the tourist areas, but that did not bother us, as it was quiet and cozy, and only about a fifteen minute walk from major attractions.

We were traveling with 2 teenage children and found our family room to be excellent. Our room was facing front of hotel, and children were in smaller connecting room facing inner section. The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms clean. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. The location terrific. We either walked to our destination or had the desk call a cab for us. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel room was beautiful, very quiet and spacious. My main problem was with the night receptionist who was extremely rude. Knowing we were waiting to collect the room key he continued a long phone conversation which he stopped only to answer another telephone which had begun to ring. When I loudly objected he was argumentative and slightly aggressive. The daytime receptionist on the other hand was lovely and extremely helpful. The other issue we had was when having drunk a bottle of wine in the room (not from the mini bar) our room's corkscrew was replaced by a simple bottle opener the next day. Maybe co-incidence?

Great place for a stay in Rome. The rooms are really quiet and clean. It`s near the Piazza Republica, a stylish and chic neighborhood, not so hectic as in the near of the Piazza Spagna. We had really no cpmpliants!

We booked a double room de luxe for a week. It was very good with good rate price/quality. Breakfast room is without any windows but you can get your breakfast in the room for 5 euros per day. It is a good 4 stars hotel with something nice in the decoration.

We loved Bailey's! Simona was a wonderful cheerful presence behind the desk. She was so helpful. There was good communication by email before we arrived. They arranged for our pick up at the airport, which was a blessing. The location was in a quiet area, but well within walking distance of the historic center of Rome. We highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed a Bailey's twice. Our room the first time was great; the second room had a view only of a fire escape so was rather dark, but still fine. The staff people were all helpful; some were friendlier than others. Overall, I will recommend this hotel to friends.

Bailey's Hotel offers very good rooms which are superbly clean, comfortable and well equiped. There was absolutely no noise whatsoever in our room, excellent for Rome! The public areas are very small, with just a small bar, reception and breakfast room. Breakfast cold buffet is very good, with plenty of choice. Overall location is good with convenient access to all sights by bus from via XX Septembre 50 yards away. This overcomes not being in the heart of the tourist centre. Excellent and cheap local reasaurent just 60 yards away on same road. Was full every night, so must be good! Also superb trattoria around corner recommended by reception. It doesn't have a menu but the food was really fantastic and a proper Roman experience. highly recommended.

We had a wonderful weekend. The hotel was superb, the front desk staff very welcoming and helpful. We had a pair of adjoining doubles. The larger room at the front was great, the room at the back a bit smaller, but taken together for a family of four they were fine. Nice touches in the room, fruit on arrival, fluffy bathrobes and we lost count of the towel changes, often 3 times a day. Very good location, a short bus or tube from the centre. Get a bus map, it helps if you do not know the city. Would strongly recommend this hotel

Internet access in the rooms is only dial-up based, which was surprising to me, because the information provided in the web site was misleading on this topic. Make sure you book a double room, because single rooms are very very small, I would say claustrophobic. Double rooms are very good with reasonable desk space as well. Employees at reception desk were extremely professional and useful at all times.

I found the concerige and service staff to be rude, and not very helpful. My reservation dates were wrong, the concerge was not at all helpful and the transportation they scheduled for us was late, causing us to barley make our flight back to the US. Although the rooms were nice, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. IT was truly not 4 star service
