Great place to stay in Rome. Newly renovated and really clean. The rooms were small because of the king sized beds, but lovely. In a local Italian neighborhood full of authentic restaurants and great atmosphere. It was still within walking distance to most major Roman sights. We stayed three nights before a cruise. We wanted to stay there one more night after the cruise but before we returned home. The only reason we did not was because it was too late to cancel our last reservation. The roof top patio was great as well. Loved it!

Room was excellent and very modern (nothing like the photos shown on the web site). We paid a little extra for an executive room which was well worth it. It was a lovely surprise when we actually realised we'd got our own covered terrace/balcony with the room! If this hotel could have been moved 15 minutes walk closer to the centre of Rome it would have been perfect.

Depending on the room, it is spacious or too small for two persons. We stayed 11 nights at this hotel. We therefore felt, that the wardrobe was too small for us and not enough dress-hanger were available. The room on the inner court was pleasantly quiet however the room on the street side was much to noisy during the night. We felt the city quarter in which the hotel is situated very pleasant because of following reasons: --the many italian restaurants (not much tourists and thus no tourist food). --about 15 Minutes walking distance to the nice garden of the Villa Borghesi and two metro stations (i.e., Castro Pretorio and Barberini). --a very nice market hall still be used about 5 minutes walking from the hotel. However, we would again stay in this hotel., With kind regards.

Les chambres sont agréables, spacieuses et propres. la literie est trés correcte. Le petit déjeuné buffet est sympatique. Un bémol: l'isolation phonique des chambres est trés insuffisante.

I went to Rome for 4 days with my Mother, who was visiting the UK from RSA. We had a very spacious twin room at Fiume which was nice and quiet. When we arrived the reception staff weren't very friendly. Towards the end of our stay the 'new' man at reception was much more accommodating. Fiume is located near some fabulous shops and restaurants frequented by the locals. The Breakfast buffet is great. The nearest underground station is about 12 minutes walk, but walking in Rome is an experience.

We are a 28 year old couple who enjoy walking and exploring new places. The hotel was exactly what we wanted for our 4 day stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel staff were all very nice and very helpful. The breakfast, included in the price of the room, was very very good. The hotel is in the northeast part of the city, about a half hour's walk to the major sites, including the Vatican. Along the way, there are numerous shopping and dining opportunities, which makes for a nice stroll. If you plan on shopping, you probably won't want to trek back to the hotel to drop off your purchases. We carried ours around and it was fine. There is also a VERY nice, quiet restaurant right around the corner from the hotel that is open until 1.00am. So if you are arriving late and are hungry, it's a must. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will recommend Fiume to our friends and relatives. We will stay there again, for sure, on our next visit to Rome.

24 hour reception desk so 1.am arrival no problem except they had no record of our booking through Venere -eek. Only had a cupboard sized room with view of brick wall free that night but they sorted us out the next day and honoured the bargain Venere room rates at checkout. If you are fit it's a 10 min walk to Termini and 20 mins to Spanish steps. Otherwise lots of buses stop nearby. Hotel staff helpful, breakfast excellent, nearby restaurants for all budgets. Would stay again.

We stayed at the Hotel Fiume for 7 days and were very pleased overall with the hotel and its staff. Great dinner recommendations and we were very happy with the breakfast that included both hot and cold items. Only problem was a lack of insulation between bathrooms so you could hear your neighbour's conversations a little too clearly. We had no such problem at three other hotels in Italy and I think Fiume should fix this item. Overall, we were pleased with our stay at the hotel and it was good value but watch what you say in the bathroom, you don't know who might be listening!

Very nice, clean accommodation with ample breakfast. A good 20 minute walk from the northern center city attractions, but located in a quaint neighborhood that bustled on weekdays...a bit sleepy on weekends. Would easily recommend staying here. Rate was very attractive. Only negative was noise from street and adjoining room/toilet...walls were quite thin.

My room was next to the stairwell so it was a little noisy (maybe a mat going up the stairs.?). Otherwise the staff, service, the room and location were excellent.

Hotel is a bit out of the centre but pleasant and in a quiet street. Fair choice of restaurants nearby but better to go to centre. Bar area very small.

We were delighted with this hotel, which was excellent value for money. Well placed, with lots of good restaurants nearby, and within walking distance of all the sights. The small roof terrace, with sun chairs and jacuzzi, was a lovely extra. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Booked this hotel along with guests to our wedding in June 2005. Having stayed here before we were pleased with the hotel, although when asking for the quiet rooms we ended up with very small rooms at the back of the hotel - away from the noise but tiny! The breakfast and other services were very good. Our only dissappointment was that the hotel moved four of our guests to a lower quality nearby hotel as they said they were overbooked, despite having already guaranteed all of our rooms with a credit card some three mnonths earlier. Despite being given an apology and a small room discount this experience did colour our view of what is otherwise a very nice hotel in a great area for restaurants.

This was a lovely hotel in one of the nicest regions of Rome - close to the park and relatively quiet. Only took us 15 mins to walk to the main attractions. Room was small but had balcony with seating - breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting good accomodation away from the main tourist areas.

Had a great few days in Rome, very easy to get around from the various bus routes, only a couple of mins walk from the hotel. €8 in a taxi from the Termini, don't get screwd by some taxi drivers, we got quoted €25-30! Breakfast is a must if you intend to go sightseeing, bring good walking shoes/runners! Trust meon that!

This hotel is excellent! We had a family occasion and my request for a special room was fulfilled. The reception staff also gave us very good restaurant recommendations, as we had never been in Rome before. Very professional and friendly staff!
