Hotel is very charming and welcoming. Location is fantastic for S Lorenzo nightlife and Stazione Termini. Very quiet and peaceful a real gem in such a chaotic and noisy city. Rooms were private and clean. Highly recommended.

Liked very much the Hotel Ateneo Garden Palace. We enjoyed very much the private terrace to the interior garden with jasmine veranda. The personnel is professional and kind. About the location, it is correct enough with a bus stop nearby and about 15 minutes walk to Termini station. Many restaurants and terrace cafés around. Only the breakfast is a little poor, but it is compensated by the other mentioned good qualitites.

I was very satisfied overall. However, you have no air cinditioner during the night after 2100.... I do not see the reason why. It is 4 stars hotel and guest should have choise.. Breakfast was too poor vs other quality of the hotel.

Everything was as it was said in the review of the hotel, except the fact that there where no internet connection, actually there were a wireless but when you log on in to it, it did not have the connections with the Internet, which was critical for me and they didn’t do anything for the time I was there. Other wise, it is close to the main train station which could be very useful, there is a public transport that is going to the Vatican and stop near by and we use it everyday to go to the center. The hotel is nice and I recommend it especially for young couples. If I go to Rome again probably I will stay in it again.

Good, nice hotel, well located near to the main University, the main railway station and to a large nightlife/retaurants area like San Lorenzo but in a quiet "corner". Difficult to find a parking in the street. Nice, clean, a good place to stay. Breakfast is a little bit poor expecially for foreigners habits; coffee is very bad...

Actually everything was fine.We have been picked up at the Fiumicino and dropped to the property (transfer has been ordered in advance) There we were already awaited by night service and have been taken to our room. The standard room looks a little bit small but it has an entrance to the garden (at least at the ground floor). IMHO a good price/quality relationship. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

It was happy to stay at the hotel "Ateneo Garden Palace". The hotel was not so far from Termini station(mother and I used to go there by walk within 5-10 min) and by #492 bus we could reach the city center easily. The room was quiet and clean. The bathroom was also clean and luxurious. My mother and I were satisfied with the breakfast. Staffs were exellent but they had little information of public transfortion and seldom smiled. Anyway thank you, venere.com, without you I couldn't have finished my travel happy (I reseved "Ateneo Garden Palace" through your site in the morning of the day when my mother and I had been out of another hotel in Rome ).

Everything was ok, the service was good, the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was generous and the hotel is really nice. Perhaps the surroundings are not exactly in a very nice area of the city, but can be appreciated by people who need to be close to the Termini Rail Station.

If Rome for you is just piazza di Spagna, fontana di Trevi and the Colosseum, then this hotel is not for you. But if you want to try restaurants and pubs where the locals go, then you'll enjoy the San Lorenzo neighborhood. And you'll also get a much better room for the same money. The superior rooms are a size that you'll hardly find in Rome for this price, and, in general, the hotel has a well kept, modern and clean look as far as furnishing and bathroom fixtures. The venere web site has a problem though: it does not let you specify double with two small beds vs. "matrimoniale" (one big bed). I wanted a matrimoniale but ended up with a reservation for a room with two twin beds (in the end, they were able to accomodate my request when I showed up, but the reservation was inaccurate).

Overall the hotel room was adequate for our needs whilst staying in Rome. The 'standard' room seemed quite small but was comfortable and clean. There was little of no interaction with Staff bar checking in and out. At times the hotel seemed deserted. The area surrounding the hotel is not pleasant at all, whilst it seems to be in a residential area it is about 20 minutes 'on the wrong side' of Termini. It is uncomfortable and unpleasant to walk from the Hotel to Termini or any other areas around the city. However the bus service (492) is very good once you work out that you need prepaid tickets (impossible to find!) or face a €101 fine.

Excellent quality hotel at a reasonable price. Room clean and well serviced. Breakfast plentiful. Staff efficient and friendly. Travel to centre/sights easy by 492 bus 100m away every 10mins (forget the metro). Only downside is poor surrounding area (druggies and tramps at night).

It's a very good hotel for this price. The room was huge, clean and a complet bathroom. Breakfast buffet is correct and the air conditioned is very useful in summer and it works perfectly. It's close to Termini train station and a little bit far of the center but you can get the bus to travel in the city. We bought the tree days ticket for public transport because it's cheap (11 euros/ 3 days) and the bus frecuency is very good.

This is really a nice hotel for ROME for that price. The staff are very friendly and competant. Breakfast is standard. The rooms are clean and spacious. The surrounding area is a problem though, homeless people sleeping in the park 200m away, but if you like travelling by bus then you can avoid walking through this area. In general this is a very nice hotel in a poor neighbouhood.

Excellent location in a quiet, nice area north of the Termini Rail Station. 125 euros was an excellent price for this 4-star property. About a 15 minute walk from either the Termini or the Castro Pretorio subway stops. Beautiful, spacious atrium area. We were extremely fortunate to be put in a junior suite (maybe because we were staying five nights) on the ground floor which opened into the atrium. I will try to stay here whenever we are in Rome (especially at that price!!)--away from the hubbub of the big city, but really quite convenient.

Fine place at a great price E125 per night. Just a 5 min walk to Termini station but away from centre which means location is a little out of the way. So 15 min walk to main restaurant areas If you like walking however you can walk to all the main sights from her including Vatican. Hotel was modern, well kept. Rooms had balconiises overlooking garden courtyard.

The hotel is in a very lively quarter, with close good Restaurants. The rooms are very calm for Roman conditions. For the "Forum Romanum" and for the old city you can go to foot or use one of the two streetcars. The guest rooms and the service are correct and the courtyard is marvelous. Use it for breakfast in the morning sun. The hotel is one of the best places as basis for a wonderful journey of the gorgeous Rome. For our next trip to Rome we will again select the hotel, "Ateneo Garden Palace".

I stayed with my 3 children in Rome the first time. The hotel is really beautiful and the rooms are very nice. Breakfast is fine and the people are nice and competent. The internet-corner is a little bid slow, but i was on holidays. I really can recommend that hotel. the only problem is the place, where it is, but if you like busriding(71 and 491 are 20meters from the hotel) it is no problem. there is also a nice, but simple pizzeria 10 meters from the hotel

This is a gem of a place in a quiet square only a ten minute walk from the Termini and close to many of the important places to visit in Rome. Beware of unscrupolous and unofficial taxis around Termini. This hotel is only a three minute drive from Hotel Sabina (aerport bus terminal at the Termini) I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Friedly helpful staff, nice room, very clean. I would definitely stay there again. Free internet access in the lobby. I got a taxi (expensive) but once I knew where it was it became an easy 5 minute walk from the station - just make sure you have a map that lists *all* the street names.
