Picked this hotel for the parking and free shuttle to the Vatican area of Rome.Overall nice hotel, it is a little hard to get to with the directions they give, i had a tom-tom which is priceless and that helped a lot ,but I made a wrong turn and it was a hassle turning around. once there parking was available as advertised.Wanted to do as little driving as possible in Rome so the shuttle was important. shuttle service is limted and books up early. I got into a nasty arguement with the front desk staff. I was given the impression at check in that there would be no problem getting a shuttle the next day into Rome. Told him we wanted to spend the entire day in Rome and wanted to book the shuttle for the next day. I was told that the shuttle has to be booked day to day but it would not be a problem. The next morning around 8 am I went to book the shuttle and was told there were none available until 1pm. I was upset and basically told that nothing is promised and the shuttle is a courtesy only. I told that I had many hotels to pick from and the shuttle is advertised as a service therefore not just a courtesy.They were a little rude with attitude.you would expect a apology for the inconvenence not "What do you want me to do about it" never acknowledging the night before at check in I was completly misled about the shuttle service. Anyway we just took a cab to the Vatican and that cost about 15 euro. Even with all that being said I would stay here again because the location is good with parking. Taxi to colloseum area was about 15 euro also. We drove to the airport which is only 8-9 miles away and easy to get to. Rooms were clean, not sure about the AC working turned it on but warm air was coming out. It was a cool late april night so I opened the balcony door and it was fine. If it was a hot muggy summer night I would have been upset. breakfast was good but service poor, had to look around for clean table and utensils.

The hotel is 2km SW of Vatican but it has a free shuttle every hour that brings you at a Metro station (Cipro) near the Vatican museum in 10 minutes. The room was clean and quite large for European standard, with a large balcony overloking the pool area in our case. Nice buffet for breakfast but we did not ate there for dinner (try the restaurant Le Vele not far from there). The pool area is exceptional (semi-olympic size), with shaded area, trees and flowers. Excellent service at the reception from GioanLucca, who help me for the return of my rented car. A little bit expensive but very nice overall.

I did not see that breakfast not was included in the room price, for breakfast need to pay 12 euros/person . Everything was good, maybe the rooms was a little old and needs some rebuilding.

1st time at this hotel, 2 nights to see what (Rome) sites we could cram in before travelling on. Excellent hotel in all respects, only snag we had was finding it, but this was due to me leaving it late in arriving, not paying enough attention to rote details and stubborness of not using a sat nav. On site parking is plentiful and easy, a big pool which is a massive + factor when wishing to cool off after returning from site seeing. Lifegaurd/attendant supplies you with the obligatory cap for swimming in pools and towells for the sun longers. Breakfast without doubt the best experienced in any Italian hotel (everything from cooked through to the lite choices). As you are away from the hussle and bussle, you are a few Ks out from the Vatican, but Hotel offers a shuttle bus to 2 locations, 1 of which is a few hundred yards from a Metro stop, and say 5/10 mins walk (depending on heat) to the entry to Vatican museum. Depending on your expectations, a rather grand hotel (big lobby and attendants ect) for very reasonable price. Would definately stay there again, hope we can!

A bit out of the way of the mainstream Rome, but the shuttle service made getting to and from the hotel fairly easy. The hotel was great, the staff was excellent, rooms were spacious and comfortable.
