Although is far from the main Rome turist attractions, is well connected by bus and the surroundings are very quiet. Breakfast is barely adequate as a choice, but the little they offer is very good. I think this hotel is more indicated to those who go at Rome to work.

Pros: Nice location; kind staff; rooms were spacious and recently refurbished. Cons: Cleanliness of rooms was far from being sufficient; we had to change room because of the smoke (smell of burning plastic) that filled the room; noise: the first room was next to the elevator...the second one had a noisy fridge.

Easy to reach by car, well connected to the city centre by fast bus, essential services avaible close to the hotel, in a quiet residential area, a good solution to take into consideration, also because of the good price vs. quality ratio.

During my travel alone the Italy (from Milan to Napoli) it was the worst hotel. It would not be so awfull for us if not the expectation that we had relying on the photos and the description. The first room was under the roof and it was extremly hot even the condition couldn't cool it. When we changed it the other was better but still very hot (the conditions are very weak!). The breakfast room is very small so if you eat after 9am you have to clean the table by yourself as the only service woman is always busy. The choise of meal is also poor. The only benefit is the free internet point... And this is 4 stars hotel! To my mind it hardly counts 2 stars.

Hotel is nice and new, People at the reception are friendly and helpful, for example in helpink for parking. Rooms are nice and clean, design is good, some IKEA furniture is weird but makes me feel at home :-) Somehow disappointing is the breakfast. Food is ok, but space is tight and you have to do the self service for dishes, glass, etc. The lady was not so gentle. Overall a nice and silent place, not so near the center but i think transfer by shuttle or bus would not be a problem.

Turned out to be a "boutique" type hotel. Interesting design although off the beaten path. We ended up being able to get around though by bus so that was OK. Good breakfast, and overall good stay. Wish they had cable or satellite TV for the small amount of time we were in the room.

Very nice staff on a modern and quiet hotel. It made us feel in a small town inside this busy city. Bathroom small but very clean! Room needs more detailed cleaning. Great breakfast! Transportation to downtown on bus #90 is very good. Congratulations to Mario (front Desk) and Alessandro (bar).

HOtel Ars was wonderful. It was in a quiet area, which was welcome after the noise and busyness of Rome. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. There is a wonderful seafood restaurant down the street. I have already recommended this hotel to several friends who are going to Italy. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

This hotel had a good all around location for Rome, but was moderatly difficult to find; it is on a one-way street, with small signs to look for (especially at night). Also, I would like to add, that beware of the staff trying to add charges for services not rendered, like coffee and wine.

Communications with hotel before stay excellent. Very helpful and polite staff. Lovely room, tea/coffee making facilities available but need to be asked for. Unfortunately the advertised 24hr room service did not happen. We wanted bar snack one night but nothing available. Apart from this we had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend the Ars. The hotel transfer to city each morning good, but you need to book in advance when you get there.

Very good for the price we paid, expecially considering that we were in Rome and 80 euros for a 4 stars isn't quite common. Good position to go down-town if you are driving. Excellent neigbhorood, very safe. The only thing I got a little bit disappointed were the 10 euros for the private parking and the 4 euros for the room service. Reccomended

It was a great room for a great price. The hotel is on a steep hill so if you're on foot it's a little climb. The bus into downtown is a 3 minute walk and the bus ride is about 30 minutes. Overall a very good stay and I would stay there again.

Location was good. Buses to centre of Rome were quick and easy. Accommodations were good but were alittle noisy due to traffic. Breakfast was good. We had asked to be picked up at airport but they said they did not receive the request so found that difficult arriving late Sat. night. Another couple had the same experience. The shuttle to downtown Rome was not in service on another day as well.

We loved the ARS. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the location, but it woudn't be for everybody. It is far from the city center and it is necessary to take a bus or a cab. We took the bus in the morning and a cab back to the hotel at night. The hotel has modern amenities like in room high speed internet access, as well as a workstation in the lounge. The breakfast room is modern, the whole hotel has a hip feel. One note, the hotel is built into a hill and is very vertical, so if you don't like steps, this wouldn't be the place for you. We would definitely stay here again.

I came into Rome by myself and found this hotel and location to feel a wonderful and safe haven. I will definetly return here with my family. It is a little out of the way, but an easy bus ride to the main train station. It's located in a real nieghbor not touristy but fun and lively like the rest of Roma!

There is some construction surrounding the hotel but aside from the unfinished roads, this is a great place to stay. Not in the heart of things in Rome, but as I was only staying here overnight in order to catch a train the next morning, it worked out well. The staff was very helpful when I had to have another CC number issued from the US. The decor and accomodations were quite superb for the cost.

Hotel Ars was everything we were hoping for in a hotel stay in Rome. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk outside the center of rome (depending on your walking speed). We enjoyed walking into the center each morning, but the bus service was conviently located as well, taking you right from the hotel to the Termini. The buses fill up quickly, and can be quite crowded, and so we found that walking was more enjoyable. The area where the hotel is located is quiet and very nice. The rooms were very clean, had hardwood floors, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was larger than expected (with a typically small shower), and had Excellent Air Conditioning (we stayed in the beginning of July, when it was Very HOT!). They also provide free internet access, which is a plus. The staff was always very polite, and breakfast was okay. They provided various meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, cereals, juices, and coffee. Nothing to write home about, but better than we've had at other hotels. If you don't mind staying a bit away from the center city (which we noticed can be very noisy and trafficked), then this hotel would be perfect for you!

Room was spacious and clean. Be prepared for a long haul into central Rome - probably 25 minutes on a crowded and steamy bus. This got tiring after a few days. Used a car service (book at hotel desk 1 day before) to go to airport. Cost only a little more than bus plus train and much easier/faster. Hotel is not in a great area, but very close by is a small "downtown" w/ a deli, markets, gelato, laundry, you name it. Ones we used were good or better. Usually bought food at deli and ate at a nice park nearby (filled with locals). This would be a top hotel if it were closer to central Rome. Staff was competent but not particularly helpful or friendly (gentleman who checked us in in late PM was an exception - very nice guy). Again, be prepared for a long bus trip in and out of Rome. Other than that, or if you have your own car, it's a good hotel at a reasonable price.

We were quite disappointed with this hotel - the quality or enivironment didn't make up for its distance from Rome (along a fairly ugly bus route). We found the staff at best apathetic and at worst quite unhelpful and abrupt to us, but worst of all - we didn't get a single good night's sleep the two nights we were there with the banging of doors from other rooms - sound seems to travel so easily and the walls of the rooms are paper thin. Our general impression wasn't also helped by the dirty white walls of the rooms - if you're going to paint them white, you've got to keep them clean. In short, I wouldn't highly recommend this hotel.

A great little hotel, good access to shops , buses , and autostradde . a bit far out of the city centre , but the #90 bus is good value for 1 euro. taxi drivers dont seem to know the hotel name, so a buisiness card with the hotel address on it is a must if using a taxi to get back to the hotel late at night . breakfast area is a little compact , food selection is small but it is fresh . no pool, but there is too much to see and do in Rome to worry about that anyway . maybe a little overpriced for the facilities available but we would stay there again.

My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel and with the staff. This is a VERY clean hotel, very modern and funky, and qutie reasonable. It is a short 15-20 minute busride into the city centre and the staff are very willing to help you get to where you need to go. Although it's a little further out than most other hotels, the area was very safe and the price was great! (any hotel like this closer to the city centre would be 300 Euro/night.) I highly reccomend this hotel, and thank the other users who posted comments as they helped us make our decision to stay here.

The hotel verged on being overly stylised without necessary attention to practicality. For instance the noise from the corridor and other rooms was too audible for a properly designed hotel. The staff were mixed in helpfulness ranging from the polite and professional to the dour and too busy.

The hotel is very modern and new, and impressed us not so much by its comforts but by its style. The rooms are not overly spacious and our bathroom only had a small shower cubicle but everything was clean and tidy. The receptionist was friendly and helpful despite his limited English. The breakfast buffet was somewhat basic but all in all we enjoyed our stay at Ars and would definitely recommend it.

Hotel Ars is a great small hotel, with very modern sparse decor. It's in a part of Rome with a lot of character. Alas it is a little out of the way, being 4 or 5km out of the centre, but there are good transport links and enough good local restaurants. Recommended.
