The staff at the hotel were very friendly and we have no complaints about the room. However, the interior has seen better days and perhaps new carpet in the stairs and hallways wouldn't go amiss. Breakfst was slightly limited - some cheese or ham to go with the bread would have been more to our taste than jam.Ideally situated to walk into the old town and a good hotel for a couple of nights stop over.

Très bon hôtel à des prix raisonnables. Une grande capacité de parking gratuit à 2 pas et surtout le centre historique de Rochefort à 2 pas à pieds. Un regret ? La présence importante de moquette.

El Hotel de France es un hotel agradable y céntrico. La recepcionista fue muy amable, aunque apenas hablaba inglés. El desayuno simple pero suficiente. La habitación normal, limpia y eso sí el baño recién puesto y con ventana al exterior. Rochefort merece la pena visitarlo, es bonito y es un buen punto de partida para explorar Poitou, una región con mucha historia y mucho que ver, hay autovía gratis a La Rochelle y las playas atlánticas son buenas, además está al lado de las dos grande islas Ré, Aix y Oleiron. El precio no es caro. Recordar a los del Norte de España que está muy cerca y todo es autopista. Merece la pena.

Rideau de douche minable (moisi sur 1 mètre!!!). Scandaleux de proposer des chambres comme ça à un tel prix!!! (50€ la nuit).
