Hotel Rudy - Riva del Garda

A bit far from the center, but a nice place to stay.

A decent hotel with clean,modern,accomodation.A 25 minute walk from riva but on a reliable bus route.The location means the price is lower than the town centre therefore very good value,both breakfasts and evening meals were good.

Ottimo hotel, belle le stanze, personale molto gentile e possibilità di utilizzare gratuitamente il centro benessere al suo interno, molto ben curato! Bella inoltre la possibilità di poter prendere in prestito le loro numerose bici, da utilizzare per pedalare nei bellissimi paesaggi dei dintorni. Vicinissimo al centro (pochi minuti in bici). Veramente consigliato, se torneremo nei paraggi alloggeremo sicuramente lì.

Buon confort e buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Ottimo il centro benessere. Discreta la cucina. Unico lato negativo la vicinanza alla strada principale e la lontananza dal centro città (sopperito però dal noleggio gratuito delle biciclette).

Right next to the road so a little noisy, but we knew this from reading reviews before we booked. A little walk into town but there were free bikes to use to get into Riva or Arco. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money and easy to find.

The description and photographs of this hotel suggest that it is in a quiet area in the countryside. It is in fact on an extremely busy main road with lots of trucks, buses and other vehicles passing constantly. There is a strong smell of motor fumes as soon as yuo open the window. It is more like a motel than a hotel. The swimming pool is a lot smaller than the photograph would suggest. When I arrived, I was given a noisy room at the front. When I asked to be moved to a quieter room, the person who checked me in at the front desk said that most people who stay there stay for seven days and as I was only staying for two days, it was not possible to give me a quieter room. If they give priority to people who book for seven days they should say so in their hotel details. I pointed out to him that I had specifically requested a quiet room and that the hotel details on the internet suggest that it is in a quiet location. He told me that if I had looked at it on a map I would have seen that it was on a main road!! The hotel itself is of poor construction with very drab interior decor. The breakfast was awful. The basket of fruit was actually rotten. Some pieces of fruit were mouldy and others were overripe.

Nettes hoefliches Personal, eigentlich kompetent. Fahrraeder kostenfrei zur Ausleihe. Gepflegte "public area". Swimming-pool, falls man moechte. Relatic weit vom Zentrum zu Fuss, aber Fahrraeder vorraetig. Guter Service im Barbereich (guter, sehr fairer Preis). Gutes vernuenftiges Fruehstuecksbufett. Parkplatz okay.

I dont speak english very well..... in my opinion the website offered to beautiful pictures of the hotel surroundings, in fact the hotel is on the important road so not so beautiful

We have stayed in rudy hotel and it was great. the room was very! big we have got bath shoes. they had free internet point in the loby. very nice view from the balcony. i would defenetly recomend to everyone to stay in this hotel. my perents will stay in this hotel in decembere.

Good value for money. Easy 15/20 min walk into town. I would stay here again.

Its a long way out of town, but has a great view. Without a car it would be best to stay closer to town...otherwise great

During a 3 day trip we experienced "Hotel Rudy" as a very nice hotel close to the center of Riva! Very nice bar and friendly staff! To recommend...

A little bit far from the center of Riva, but the comfort of the hotel, the wonderful view to the mountains compensate everything.

Very nice hotel with an intimate feel. The staff were extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful. Though the location is a bit of a walk from the centre of Riva, the hotel offers a shuttle service during the day, and at night, taxis are relatively inexpensive. Highly recommended!

Everything about the hotel was great but it is a 20-25 minute walk from Riva & the lake along quite a busy road and the buses stop quite early in the evenings. But if you don't mind the walk then Hotel Rudy is great value for money.

The room was big and comfortable, the customer service was excellent and welcoming ! I will definitely use this hotel in the future !!!

We spent a fascinating night in Rudy. The room was very clean, spacious and quite. The bathroom was very clean too, and the breakfast was delicious and more than enough...

L'établissement correspond à un bon niveau de confort,propreté,insonorisation,prestations offertes de bonne qualité.Seul l'environnement, proximité route à fort trafic, atténue quelque peu l'appréciation d'ensemble.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with a balcony facing the street. There is also a bar and a good restaurant, free web access for guests, the breakfast is very good. I will certainly come back in the future.

The hotel was ok, tha place next to Lake Garda is really nice. The only thing was the elevator that was really ugly, I would say frightening, it was all painted with really bad taste!The breakfast was really varied with even eggs and bacon!Overall, good value for money if you avoid taking the elevator!

Location, view, service, accomodation, breakfast all good and very enjoyable. The hotel is situated on a main road, so with windows open, there is a constant noise of traffic for rooms on the front. The Air conditioner was ineffectual, so the windows had to be kept open.

Hotel rooms to the front of the hotel were noisy due to main road only. This was a great wee hotel. I would stay here again. Fantastic base to go walking/ via ferrata

We enjoyed our holiday at the Rudy Hotel. Personnel was friendly. The hotel has been renovated, that's why it looks much better in reality than in the Internet.

Each of us found a cockroach in the room, but all in all the rooms where cleand well. The Hotel in much more then 1KM from the See, as you wrote in the website.

- breakfast: could be more variety - cleanliness: on departure we found a condom under our bed - it was there for 5 days (!!!). this makes me angry. - there is NO tavern - there is NO billiard room - there is NO tv room - it is just a big building site ... AND ... it seems the work will last forever ... THIS MAKES WE REALLY ANGRY - there is no garage for bikes - the parking site is quite spacious - there is a computer for free internet access :) conclusion: I wouldn't pay the offered price again because there is too much dicrepency between what is offered and would we experienced.

Very noisy along a way with a lot of cars during the night and early morning. Not central at all, needs to go 3kms far away to go to eat in Riva. I would rather pay 20€ more to stay overnight in Riva itself.

Well, besides being a little bit farther away from the town than expected, this hotel was very nice. The breakfast was great. The room was enormous and had a view of the mountain. I would stay there again. Riva del Garda is a great town.

Hotel is on a busy road which was busy for most of night too. This meant that having windows open or sitting on balcony was not really pleasant. Our room was at the side of the hotel so I hate to think what it would be like to be at the front. The room itself was clean and functional but we would have struggled to swing a cat. Air con was present but in name only. Even when it actually worked it was set so low it made no difference. All the fire doors were permanantly wedged open, despite my attempts to keep shutting them, so don't stay there when there's a fire. We ate there on our first night and it was by far the worst meal of the holiday so I wouldn't bank on getting fine food there. Breakfast was a very sparce affair even by continental standards. We usually went down during the 2nd hour for breakfast and invariably found no tables set. If you could actually find someone to ask for a table it would be done but with grumbling. In the end we took to setting it ourselves as it was simpler. The diference between this hotel and the 3 star hotel we stayed in the next week was a million miles. Overall would I stay there again er no.

The Hotel is nearer to 2Km from the lake than the 1Km advertised. However there are bikes for free use and a free taxi service. The hotel is close to the bus station. Pool-side facitities are good.

Realmente el trato recibido por parte del personal fue mas que agradable. Las instalaciones están perfectamente cuidadas y la relacion calidad-precio es excelente

The main problem for us was that the map on the web-site indicated the hotel was 1 km from the lake. It was 2 km measured by air, and almost 3 km to walk. If you have a car or a motorcycle this is a minor problem, but for us the information was misleading (there is no buses from the city in the evening so you must walk or take a taxi). The hotel said the information was correct and refered to the web-page were it is indicated that the hotel was 1 km from a place outside Arco. That is true, but if you don`t know where Arco is, most people will focus on the information that it is 1 km from the lake.

We had a most enjoyable stay in Hotel Rudy. We found the staff efficient and helpful. Every effort was made to accomodate us - even to the point of supplying free bicycles for our use. The hotel is very conveniently located - close to the town (by car)and also close to the countryside.We availed of the very reasonably priced full board option and found the food very satisfactory.The swimming pool is a great advantage as you are a bit away from the lake. All in all Ridy is very good value for money.

Nos ha encantado el hotel.Estaba un poco retirado, a las afueras del pueblo pero la habitación era espaciosa y estaba todo muy limpio. De entre todos los pueblos del Lago, Riva es uno de los mejores y más bonitos. Nos ha encantado y segurmente volveremos!

We felt location was not properly presented as it implied hotel was new, which it wasn't. Also says it is right on the beach which it isn't.

In the web informations it was not reported the real distance from the city.
