Stayed here for 4 nights, and were made to feel very welcome by the staff who were fantastic. Shame the hotel is located in such a built up area and felt more like being in a resort when near such a lovely area such as Lake Garda. The hotel has a pool which is not overlooked by others and has a good standard of accomodation, we enjoyed having a balcony to sit on in the evening. A good hotel which I would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

We had some difficulty finding the Gabry. Its in an area with a number of other hotels to the east of Riva and about 5 or 6 minutes walk to the lake shore. When we checked in we asked if we could have a view of the lake. the lady said she was unable to give us this but she gave us a room on the third floor which had a good sized balcony and (despite being opposite the balconies of another hotel) a nice view towards the mountains to the north of Lake Garda. The hotel seemed quite new, the room was a good size and very quiet and comfortable. The staff we dealt with were all friendly and helpful. It was the only hotel in our three weeks in Italy where the breakfast included hot food. Shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. We enjoyed our brief time at the Gabry.

Nice, good located hotel. Rooms have a very beautiful wooden floor!! Nice balkony in the 4th floor. Walls are a little thin, you can listen to your neighbour, and the beds were not so comfortable. But all in all it was a good stay!! We had a good time!

We had a really great stay here. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. We wanted to stay an extra night and they arranged it in another 4star hotel as they were fully booked. The breakfast was fab, huge buffet, everything you could ask for. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and air con worked well. It was only a few minutes walk to the lake. Great all round. Highly recommended

Hotel is situated approximately 300m from lake. We had a mountain view which was very nice. Gabry is on the edge of Riva and may not be the best if you are not too mobile. Luckily this is not a problem for us. Ten minute walk to town either by street of lake path. Torbole 15 mins the other way. Riva itself is a lovely little place. We are really glad we went there. Weather can change with the mountains all around - spectacular. The town very much has a German feel to it.Great place to visit especially for fans of water sports. Would like to return one day.

WE STAYED FOR 5 NIGHTS AT THE HOTEL GABRY I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE CLEANLINESS OF THE HOTEL. WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH OUR RENTAL CAR AND THE YOUNG CHAP ON THE DESK I THINK HE WAS CALLED FREDERICO WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE WAS THE BEDS WERE VERY HARD WHICH DID NOT SUIT ME.

The son was very helpful on local information regards walks and transport with excellant english. All the staff were friendly but their command of English was only adequate but that was more than compensated for by their friendliness and we all managed to communicate, part of the holiday experience,I believe and not a problem. There is a safe in the room ,provided free of charge, although the air conditioning is 6 euros per day extra. The lounge area is not lit up at night and is kept dull, the bar gives you your drinks on a tray to take to your room. The hotel opposite has live music(NOT LOUD) so you can sit on your balcony with your drink and unwind with some easy listening music,I don't know if the lounge is kept unlit because evryone stayed on their balcony or if one is discuraged to drink in the lounge?I see the German comment that it it brighter outside than it is in the lounge, now I understand why.I would still reccommend the hotel and would stay there again without hesitation

Excellent price and great value for money. Stayed for 7 nights. Keep an eye out for the signs on the roads indicating which hotels are down which lanes and you should be sorted though it took us 2 times to find it (there's a second smaller lane to your left after you take the turn off the main road you need to be aware of but it's 80mtrs from the main road and safe as there are a number of other situated around it). The rooms still have the signs of being recently renovated and the bathrooms are very clean and have a great shower. The beds are solid and are not lumpy as i find in most hotels (This is a massive plus for me). There was a crisp bag under one of the beds on arrival but given the rest of the room was so clean this was an oversight I would say. Also, the cleaning service came every day. Balcony did not have a lake view but I found this an advantage as the rooms were cooler in the morning and the view of the mountains on the other side. Hence we didn't need the air-con despite the fact that it was early July. Also, the hotel area was very quiet at night ensuring a great nights sleep. The pool and surrounding area was very clean. Parking was also good and secure. The facilties after that around reception, food etc. were not great in the hotel but how much more do you need. We ended up staying 2 more nights than planned we liked it so much and hen we had to change room we found the new room to be up to the same standards. The hotel is located 20 min walk from Riva town centre but taxis are no problem to the hotel and are reasonable. For a 3 star hotel where you need a base, clean room and a pool you can't go wrong at the price. I would certainly stay here again.

We had an excellent stay here and the breakfast were very good with plenty to eat and variety. We had three of us staying in the room which meant only one person had a bedside cabinet and it was really only a double room with an extra bed not a triple room as was sold

Be aware you have to pay for your air conditioning... but it's close to the lake (so it's not often needed). The beach, restaurants, and more are within easy walking distance... but the *main* part of town is about a 15 minute walk away. Not that it really matters, everything you need is close by. The hotel is VERY HARD TO FIND, especially given the map on Venere. Trust me... blow that map up 100x , and you still won't find it. Just keep following the lake, and you might find it... but when you do... it's worth it.

We stayed at hotel Gabry for six nights, and couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Service was excellent, breakfast buffet offered good variety of food (which was very delicious), service was kind and staff spoke english. Swimming pool was great to have around when the air temperature was hot, and ping-pond table was fun too ;) Good location, short walk to the beach & little bit longer walk to the city center. If you're a light sleeper, live music late at night from nearby hotels might disturb you, that's the only negative thing I can find. I'd definately stay in this place again, and I'll recommend it to everyone.

This hotel was fabulous. The rooms are spotless and modern - most seem to have balconies and if you get a room overlooking the lake there is a fabulous view. The hotel appears to have been refurbished recently so nothing looks worn or shabby. Fantasic shower, comfortable beds, breakfast was buffet-style and enormous, unlike a lot of Italian establishments. It is about 15 mins walk from Riva and you can walk the whole way along the lake which is just lovely. The hotel has free use of bikes, a definite bonus. I would definitely stay there again.

A very nice modern hotel although the room was on the small side,we did have a balcony with a partial view of the lake. The breakfast was a good choice of cold buffet items. Only downside was having to pay for Air con and no fridge in rooms. It is also a good 10 to 15 minutes walk to the town centre but is only 2 mins from lake edge.

Although The Gabry was probably a 20 minute walk from the town centre and lake,it was easy and flat. The hotel itself was excellent, the rooms being clean and spacious, the washing facilities were top class with a great shower, but no bath.We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast were super, there being a wonderful selection. The pool was clean and the surrounding gardens well kept. I can thouroughly recommend it.

The hotel was well-kept and inviting. The staff was great, i.e., helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. The location was good, just a short stroll to the Lake (although it lacked direct lake views, missing by just a bit). The staff directed us to a terrific restaurant a short drive away. The rooms were modern and appealing. The soundproofing was a little thin, but not overly so. (I could hear my father's LOUD snoring from the next room.)

This is a very good place to stay. The only thing I need to complain about is the phone in my room. I was unable to use my calling card when dialing from my room. At the same time, the connection through the same calling card worked from registration desk phone. Why? I reported this problem a couple of times to the manager, but still was unable to make a calling card call from my room.

We had an excellent two week family holiday which was great value. The hotel was very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Drinks and snacks very reasonably priced. It was a shame there was no restaurant but there is planty of choice just a short walk away. The only suprise was the air conditioning was an extra. The pool area was very quiet and secluded an excellent place to relax. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
