Breakfast was nice to have, but didn't have any fruit or cold milk for the cereal. I know it is catered to Euopeans, but Americans are use to more for breakfast. Otherwise, the dinner meal was great and so were the prices.

Very nice hotel, new and very clean rooms. Not close to the city center (10 mins on foot) but excellent pizzeria and bar (open till late in the night). Owned by younger people. Good service.

The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. The only problem i found was that the traffic was heavy at the front of the hotel so book a room at the back if you want a sleep in ! The restaurant downstairs served great food.

The hotel was excellent, absolutely spotless and serving up a very good breakfast with plenty of choice. The only downside is that the hotel is a good 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Riva, but if you want to stay in a quieter area of town (like we did) then this is ideal. Great mountain bike hire shop just down the road, chemist, restaurant and a few other shops all within a few meters of the hotel. Best hotel we stayed in on our holidays.

El hotel lo estaban remodelando y es nuevo, las habitaciones y la zona de desayuno. Nos costó encontrarlo. Está a las afueras de Garda, puedes ir andando pero está lejos. El sitio es muy bonito

Very nice hotel.Three stars are ok. About 10 to 15 minutes walk from the center. Any time, we will be in Riva del Garda, we would book again. By the way: Don't miss pizza in Bella Napoli!

Lovely little place on the outskirts of Riva and excellent value for money... was only a 10-15 min walk to the centre of Riva and inexpensive but still good. Hard to find though - we we driving and got caught by a unpleasant "tourist trap" whereby we accidently drove down a very poorly signed pedestrianised-only bit (though at certain times apparently) - the two police were rude and quite aggressive and only a very nice local lady who spoke good English helped us. It still cost 68 euros and they 'caught' 4 of us in the space of about 15 minutes, including a very upset Dutchmana and an equally bemused Italian... what does that tell you...?! The hotel must provide much better location information but other than that it was excellent value for money and we would stay again!

I had confirmed that I would pay by AmEx but the hotel did not accept AmEx and the staff did not speak English - only German or Italian - and kept trying to tell me that my card did not work

How to reach Hotel Fontanella

By car
From the A22 Modena-Brennero motorway, take exit Rovereto Sud and follow the indications to Riva del Garda, passing through Mori, Nago and Torbole.

By train
Rovereto train station is connected to Riva del Garda by a public bus, leaving in front of the station every hour, from 6.55 a.m. until 8.35 p.m. during workdays and from 7.40 a.m. until 8.35 p.m. on Sundays and bank holidays.

By airplane
From Verona airport, take a train to Rovereto and a bus to Riva del Garda.
