Ambassador Suite Hotel - Riva del Garda

A really good service that this hotel provided for free was the use of bikes. You could choose from racks of bikes, note the number and go to reception for the key. Many looked brand new, all with locks, lights, carriers, baskets and comfortable saddles! Although we had an apartment in the hotel, a maid came in every day to clean. This was an unexpected bonus. A silver urn of boiling water and an interesting selection of tea bags were available every afternoon for guests to help themselves to a cup of tea. Weighing scales were available to check the weight of your luggage. Lots of nice touches like these. Very helpful staff helped us with booking and locating a fabulous restaurant a bit out of town and hard to find. Hotel itself is about twenty minutes walk from the centre of Riva. Although there are restaurants close by, if I were to return to Riva, I would look for something a bit closer to the town centre.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador Suite and would definitely go back again. The room was really clean and spacious. The only downside was that we didn't have a balcony but I think this was because we had the most basic room. Most of the other rooms had balconies so I think if you pay a bit more you will get one. There was a good bar in the hotel with a nice area to sit outside and have your drinks. The pool was also good and was never particularly busy so we didn't have to fight for sun loungers. However, we were there in early July so it will probably get busier during the summer holidays. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice. The hotel is close to the lake so you don't have to walk far to get to the beach. The only downside is that it is a bit of a walk into Riva del Garda itself.

Wonderful hotel for a family! We had a 2-bedroom suite with kitchen which was the perfect size for us--3 kids +2 adults. We also got the "deluxe" upgrade which included bicycles, slippers and bathrobe (convenient for the pool). Graziano, the manager was extremely accommodating and very knowledgeable. He even called us (long distance) to make sure he understood our special requests. The only negative thing was that there were a lot of ants in one of the bathrooms. We didn't complain, however, so that was also a little bit our fault. The breakfast buffet is only cold food, but was really good--lots of choices, good quality food (you can make soft/hard boiled eggs & toast).

We had a great time in the busy August period. The room we had was really spacious and clean.The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the lake side. Breakfasts were very good with a wide variety of food and good service. The town and countryside are gorgeous - the best area in Garda in our opinion. You can drive to Verona in about 50 minutes as the Brennero - Modena motorway is excellent.

I stayed in Riva del Garda only for two days. Despite this short period, I've had a really good time here. I would like to recommend Ambassador Suite Hotel, because is nice, friendly, quiet, clean and comfortable.

pleasant and quite stay. Many different possibilities, from traditional room to small vacation appartments. Good location, not far from lake and city (Riva center 15 min.), several restaurants nearby. More care needed for abuse of whirlpool by some clients: infections possible. Price normal for service offered.

Very pleased with the hotel and it's facilities. Rooms were very spacious and kept very clean.Plenty of activities for the children including a playstation,table tennis,football and volleyball pitch.Room price also included free use of bicycles.In a quiet position,thankfully away from the very busy main road but was a good 20 minute walk into Riva.

Pleasant and well maintained hotel. Nice breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Great value for money and one of the best bargains we had on our trip.

Found the room to be very comfortable and of a very high standard. Also appreciated the variety of food available at breakfast.
